Tony: You know, you and I, we have a lot in common in that respect.
Ziva: You think?
Tony: I don’t think. I know.
Ziva: Well, then I am grateful to have someone in my life who is just as romantically dysfunctional as I am.
Tony: Agent David, do you really consider me to be “in your life”?

And then they stared lovingly into each other’s eyes for an uncomfortable amount of time

okay so i think what crowley and aziraphale need to hear from each other is this
crowley needs aziraphale to promise him that if everything really does go to shit, aziraphale will not go down with the ship, he will go off together with crowley and they can make a new life together. crowley, having been abandoned by everything he once loved CANNOT risk losing aziraphale in that way.
his misunderstanding is he is so cynical that he already views the system as having gone to shit, that there is no hope left - and he’s mistaken (‘:
aziraphale on the other hand needs crowley to promise him that he will commit to saving the world they have come to love together, that together they will do anything and everything they can to ensure its safety up to and including the one last remaining life. after all, in aziraphale’s eyes, they are the world’s only true defenders.
his misunderstanding is he is still so wrapped up in the system that he does not understand the true extent of the power he will gain by being a part of it, nor the sacrifices he will inevitably make in order to fit into it. he also, is mistaken (‘:
BUT TOGETHER, if they were able to trust that the other was willing to make good on their promise - if aziraphale is granted even higher power, to become more on par with crowley (as crowley has shown himself to be technically the more powerful entity between them), 25 lazari is nothing, friends, these two would literally shape reality to their combined will
if they can just fucking talk like grown ups for ONCE

@winters-club replied:
Velvet: "You could say we're real 'gal pals' even."
“Oh definitely. In fact, here. Allow me to give my good ‘gal pal’ a friendly little kiss right about...” Cue Ryuko lightly tilting the overlord’s head up before...
Giving her a kiss right on the lips~♥

do you think Charlie could become smarter or more mature as the series continues?
I think she's plenty smart!! She's an incredibly intelligent person. She just wants to see the best in everyone, for better or worse.
Like i think people a little too often equate having a big forgiving heart with being "childish" or "immature." Charlie is sweet and kindhearted and wants to give everyone a chance, but she's by no means stupid.
Sorry to go off about episode 4 again, skkdkd, but it's the best example i have of what i mean- We saw her with Val. She was completely willing and ready to step in and beat his ass. I don't think her following Angel was bad— angel had actively gone out of his way to NOT tell any of them how Val treated him. Back in episode 2, he pointedly hid his phone screen when val was texting and played off the message Charlie saw by saying, "My boss is just stressed about the news"
Charlie followed him, thinking she would be able to happily talk to Val about things. The MOMENT she became aware of the reality of Angels' situation she was ready to FIGHT.
I can't bring myself to call her immature for wanting to believe people can be helped. If anything, she needs to learn HOW to talk to people because right now, her aggressive kindness and tatics for helping are eeerrrr. It's not fantastic, wofkwkkdke, but i don't blame her for that. She was clearly sheltered, but She's trying, and that's more than what 90% of the people in hell can say.
Actually, more than once now, we've seen her get PISSED before reeling herself back in. And husk said it best: "She wants to solve everyone elses problem except her own"
I think a decent amount of the bubbly personality we see might not be all there is.
If anything, i think episode 4 was fantastic for both her and Angel. In the sense that Angel now realizes he has two different people totally willing to go to bat for him, that he can trust (and we HEAR that in his voice. He used his natural voice with them both!) and Charlie has learned a very important lesson about boundaries and that while her fury is righteous, she needs to learn to approach these situations with more tact.

ya see the thing that i think is often missed about the nibelheim reactor scene in crisis core is that genesis didnt just call sephiroth a monster, he called himself a monster too. he makes a clear distinction between 'monsters' [him and sephiroth] and 'non-monsters' [angeal.] he's saying that they are the same, so they should help each other. unfortunately his degradation has impacted so much that he can only have sephiroth on his level by tearing sephiroth down. it's entirely possible that if he were thinking more clearly he wouldnt have been so aggressive. he was genuinely reaching out and offering an olive branch to sephiroth. unfortunately it came far too late, and in the worst way possible. all it accomplished was permanently divulging their lives and being one of the final pushes for sephiroth to become a villain. in this essay i will-
