Pasta omg did they canonically confirm Matt wasnt blipped?! If that fight was post-Ronin but pre-Hawkeye it has to be during the Blip right???
My brain is gonna explode already
IT SURE AS FUCK LOOKS LIKE IT.
And if we're RIGHT, and now that we know netflix DD is canon, this scene told us a lot This is mostly me hypothesizing here BUT:
Matt, Fisk not blipped.
Good sign towards one theory that Foggy + Karen were blipped to angst Matt up, which is why they weren't called for the original script before they tossed that out to rewrite it, because there were signs that it was going to have a lot of it DURING the blip. Rewrites not withstanding, Foggy and Karen might still have been blipped even if they come back. At the very least, I'm assuming they blipped.
Matt: new red suit again, which means he did NOT keep the black suit post S3. Which is good, we don't need another Nobu fight.
FISK was out and about post blip. And if DD is canon, we know Matt had his dirt on Vanessa to keep Fisk in prison by his choice. If Vanessa was blipped (@wonderlandmind4 pointed out no wedding ring on Fisk - divorce when they came back? Something happened when she blipped back? Wasn't blipped but killed during the chaos of the blip?), it would explain why Fisk was out since Matt would have nothing to hold over him.
Fisk confirming with Maya that none of his people have every stood up against Matt, so Matt's been at least partially successful at hampering Fisk. However, Fisk's power clearly indicates Matt's fighting a losing battle, much like before. I'm thinking this will lead to him getting help (return of JJ? Frank? Spidey appearance?).
In other words I have theories based on like 90 seconds but that's what I've got and I may or may not already be examining my Blip Side Fic outline and making adjustments.

Headcanon time!
Let me preface this by saying smoking is bad. We all know this. It's not an appealing habit, it smells fairly terrible and has lasting impacts on your health - and I can say this with great authority, having been a smoker myself who was fortunate enough to manage quitting many many years ago.
But! Since Cybird insists on giving us suitors that light up, I'm jumping through some mental hoops to make things more palatable, for myself and maybe others. Which is a long-winded way of saying, Jude smokes clove cigarettes. (And probably smells of clove quite strongly too)
Now hear me out, there are good reasons I propose this! It's not just because it makes things a bit less repugnant, although that's certainly one factor. I'll put behind a cut the entirely neurotic, long-winded explanation behind my thought process.
Time frame: Obviously we know we're in the Victorian era here, which stretches a long long time. 63 years in fact is how long the queen reigned. Maybe there's been other details giving us a more exact time frame but so far I feel safe saying we're not in the early part of her reign - Big Ben clearly exists in this London, which wasn't built until 1859. Referring to postal workers as 'robins' wasn't a thing until the 1860s at least. The first commercial typewriters were available circa 1874 but the QWERTY keyboard layout we see on Kate's typewriter wasn't popularized until the Remington No. 2 was sold in 1878 where it then became the de facto arrangement. THUS, we can safely assume the game takes place squarely in the 1880s, by my reckoning. And when were clove cigarettes invented? 1880.
Clove cigarettes: Clove cigarettes are made of a mixture of tobacco, dried cloves, and sometimes other spices. They have a unique flavor and spicy smell to them that isn't actually unpleasant, but it can be very strong given how the clove overpowers the tobacco scent. (Here in the USA most clove cigarettes have been banned along with other 'flavored' cigarettes for more than a decade now, but I've had my share as a Youth) Per my exhaustive research (AKA googling) the leading theory of the origin of the clove cigarette was that they were invented in 1880 by a man in Indonesia who was - wait for it - seeking something to relieve the symptoms of respiratory ailment. They were first marketed as a medicinal product for chest pain, asthma, sore throats etc, and the eugenol contained in clove oil does function as an anesthetic. After Jude's 'Secrets' story we know for certain that he suffers from some mysterious and serious disease of the lungs, and implies that he smokes for therapeutic reasons.
Availability: Even if clove cigarettes hadn't become enormously popular in the West yet by the game's point and time, I think we can safely make a case that Jude would have access to them given his very position as head of a far-flung trading company. I don't think it's a stretch to imagine that if he'd heard of some medicinal product that alleviates lung issues he wouldn't try to get his hands on it ASAP.
And there we have it, my case for the clove-scented Jude. Go forth and do what ye will with this, fic writers etc...I know I will be until proven otherwise!
...ok who am I kidding, I'll probably stick with it even IF proven otherwise, because the alternative is just blegh.

I’m honestly sick and tired of people claiming everyone is bi if they find the same sex attractive. JKR wanted us to know who was attractive and who wasn’t, since the story was from Harry’s pov everyone has put a label on his sexuality. Like can we not normalize appreciating the same sex without labels? I remember being teased for being bi if I said a girl or woman was beautiful and it annoyed me because they automatically labeled me without asking me. Does that mean the next time I see a dog and say “that’s a good looking dog” I’ll be labeled as someone who’s attracted to animals? Just because a man thinks another man is attractive does not make him bi. Now if Harry had sexual feelings for the same sex in the book then yes he could be bi, but did we even a hint of that? No. So ppl need to stop claiming this as canon when it’s more of a fan theory.
I think there are a couple of layers to this, anon, and I apologize in advance for a long post as it led to quite the reflection on my end.
On the one hand, there's something to be said about heteronormative readings about texts, in that assuming is everyone is cishet until proven otherwise is limiting, to say the least. I'd like to gently ask you to think about the way you compared attraction to people to attraction to dogs, as that's a big leap. I understand the point you are making, and this reaction you have about being labeled as bi, attached to the reaction over the HC (not actual canon) of bi Harry, gives me pause.
By that I mean I had a very similar, sort of visceral reaction to a lot of the HCs and fan theories I found when I started participating in fandom and joined Tumblr. As the years go by I continue to reflect on these reactions, where they came from, and where I'm going next.
So let's talk about bi Harry for a minute and about some other thoughts I've had.
First, I don't think Harry is bi, based entirely on the authorial intent and the world JKR created. That's not to say we can't read it in other ways but I do think it's important to recognize that the world she created, wrote in, and promotes is fundamentally heteronormative. Yes, Dumbledore is gay, and his sexuality was revealed by JKR directly and not in any concrete depiction. You could argue that she couldn't say anything because of the time period, but let's face it - after PoA, she could publish these gargantuan books and the texts got darker. We also have to remember that just as 'men writing women' is a thing, so is 'women writing men.' JKR has admitted she's bad at writing romance. She calls several men handsome in the text, through Harry's eyes, and we do have to acknowledge the author's voice in the character.
Second, I don't think there's a reason Harry can't be bi. That is, we can definitely say he's into women (Cho, Ginny), and like many many people throughout history, they discover their sexuality later in life. There's no reason why Harry can't figure out later that he's bi. That's not saying that he is or has to be - it's more making room for this reality that I think is at the heart of what these HCs are getting to.
The reason for this is that queerness in history has been largely erased. I think there's value in trying to read texts, even if they were written in a heteronormative context, to make space for queer characters and readings. The sort of visceral reaction I see in this ask, which I shared a couple years ago, led to rethinking a lot of the way I see the role of representation and the diversity of voices in fiction, or broadly speaking, anywhere.
I do think that if we stick with a very strict reading of the text, according to what JKR planned out, then yes, we'd probably find that most everyone is cishet. But as we're occupying this space of fanfic, where we take the characters out of the texts and give them lives in missing scenes, why can't we explore queerness in them or take what we have in canon and sculpt it to find voices that have otherwise been silenced? This isn't to say they're canon - but that they can exist in canon and can be compliant or coherent.
There's another thing I want to very gently point out in your ask, anon. Why does it bother you so much?
If someone asked me that a couple years ago, I'd have said something along the lines of 'well, it's ridiculous. obviously he's straight, and assuming someone's bi or gay because they say or do x, y, z, is nonsense.' BUT, here's where I am a couple years later. Is it not the same concept to assume someone is straight because there's no specific marker that signals them as queer?
What I am trying to point to is that if it's the assumption that bothers you, then it's what (I believe) bothers those who are queer themselves. The assumption of "straight until proven otherwise" and "you must be bi because you find the same sex physically attractive" direct us to a similar pressure point. No one wants assumptions to dominate the way we are perceived, or the way a certain population is treated.
That's why, even if I read JKR's world as heteronormative across many, many categories, if I want to enter that world in a more detached sense and think of these fictional characters as real people, I will find queer characters because I find queer people in history.
Some characters are easier to do this with than others: I find writing canon Harry in the canon timeline as bi to be really hard. This might be my own heteronormativity speaking. I'm extremely aware of how frequently I say the wrong thing or word something in a way that isn't exactly right, but I am trying.
Writing bi Harry later in his life? Easier. Definitely easier, because of our own historical context. It wouldn't surprise me if a teenage boy in the 90s would struggle with, suppress, or even ignore bisexuality in himself. In the 00s? 10s? 20s? Different story.
I'm still not going to write bi Harry though, partly because I don't like writing Harry, and there are other characters that I find more interesting to explore with their sexualities.
But back to your point, anon. Though I understand your frustration, having been there myself, I would encourage you to understand why people say these things. There's a desire for representation, which is sorely needed, and has been historically lacking. There's a desire to normalize--or, perhaps put in a better way--be more accepting/less surprised when queer people simply exist.
If nothing else, like I have gone through my own growing pains of trying to be more open minded (a decade-long process at least), I would encourage you to do the same. I'm not saying you aren't open minded or accepting - let me be clear about that - though the way you phrased some things did lead to my own reflections about how I've thought about this.
Last, but not least, I do agree with the frustration over claiming things as canon versus fanon. There's a layer in the middle though, of canon compliant, that is a hot, hot mess.
Is bi Harry canon? No. Is bi Harry canon compliant? Why not? Why can't Harry figure out that all those times he thought a man was handsome was actually sexual attraction? No reason he can't figure that out and be happily married to Ginny. No reason he can't figure that out and be a devoted father and godfather.
I've been going on and on for a while. I suppose I'll stop here before my exhaustion leads me to say anything I'll regret. I do hope I've given you something to think about, and I'll be continuing to reflect on it as I keep going, as I hope you will do too.

It's Research Time, Broskis!
https://youtu.be/62EB4JniuTc
youtube
At this point, most of us have seen this. I could talk about my main theories, like how I'm almost certain this "FidBit:"
Tumblr media
Could be a stolen/modified one of these bad boys:
Tumblr media
(Until proven otherwise, it's Loki"s Quantum FidBit)
Anyways, as I said, it's not really a full blown theory time. I might theorize as I move through this, but my goal is to inform.
Tumblr media
We could talk for hours about what Loki means when he says he's gonna "burn this place to the ground,"***but I'm more focused on the logo on his jumpsuit:
Tumblr media
As it has been pointed out to me by outside sources, this is the logo for the Time Variance Authority, or the TVA for short. Now, I'm not as knowledgeable about the comics as I would like, but I do have access to a crucial tool.
The internet.
I'm probably more into research for this damn show than I probably should be. As in, I have Chemistry homework I need to do, vocab I need to do, but I decided to spend my study hall today researching a fictional organization for a six episode show about a fictional character I love that doesn't even come out for another year.
Priorities, my dudes.
Anyways, this is all from Wikipedia, so credit goes to them and the original comics writers.
***
~The TVA claims responsibility for monitoring the multiverse and can prune timelines if they're deemed too dangerous to exist. They also take action to prevent other beings from altering the past or future.
Now, that 100% makes sense. Loki is literally gonna be altering time in this series, running rampant in this new multiverse (until he inevitably get's busted by the TVA, as depicted in the screenshot).
The "pruning" of the timelines sticks out to me. If it really gets out or hand, could Loki fuck up the new multiverse enough that the TVA has to destroy it? What if since he's stuck at their base, he is able to escape his multiverse before it get's deleted? Maybe he makes it to the main timeline multiverse?
Anyways, that's just my speculations.
~Despite their claims, the TVA's influence over time is not absolute
Piggy backing off the last theory, if it's not absolute, is there a way Loki could exploit the flaw and make it to a new multiverse where the TVA can't reach him?
~Lower-ranked TVA employees, called chronomonitors, are literally faceless. They are created artificially, using "quantum technology" - the moment a new reality appears, a new faceless agent is created to monitor it, along with the necessary equipment (a personal computer-like device, plus a desk and a chair) to do so.
Tumblr media
There's that word again.
Quantum technology.
So, I'd assume that Loki"s timeline gets monitored by a new faceless employee. Like, "same shit as always. Oh, a new timeline! What's going on down there-oh my lord! SOMEONE GET ME MANAGEMENT, ASAP!"
Speaking of employees, this is what Wikipedia had to say about them (as well as other small info):
Tumblr media
One, I think it's noteworthy that the first appearance by the TVA is in a Thor comic.
Two, I find it funny that there is literally an agent called "Mr. Tesseract" aka, the object this entire multiverse/show hinges on. Will he make an appearance?
Wait-
What if that's Owen Wilson's character?
If not him, what if Wilson is Mr. Alternity? The leader?
I'm getting off topic.
~On occasion, the TVA hires mercenaries for use in the more dangerous missions, such as Justice Peace and Death's Head. These mercenaries often lose limbs, which the TVA replaces with clunky robotic parts (it is not known why; presumably the TVA would have access to far better technology). Another example of their seemingly anachronistic technology is a time machine shaped like an old locomotive. Professor Justin Alphonse Gamble, a pastiche of Doctor Who, is a renegade from the TVA.
Loki is 100% gonna have a merc go after him. Like, I'd think he'd be "public enemy number 1" because he has an Infinity Stone on his side AND he's probably gonna be running rampant, fucking everything up in an extreme fashion.
***
I hope this was helpful, my broskis. What do you think of all this? What does any of it mean?
Tumblr media
***Edit:
I just had a realization.
Loki is trapped in the TVA
He's messing up the timeline
The TVA monitors Timelines and multiverses.
What if he means he's gonna destroy the TVA, and by that definition, the multiverse(s) as we know it??
The ultimate act of chaos.
And as this takes place post-Avengers, aka, where Loki failed to rule Earth, what if he plans to start over? Like, he destroys the multiverses as we know it so he can be the head of ALL of them.
Everything might be going to shit soon
Holy fuck
