Some weirdly specific tropes that I absolutely adore but rarely see:
Platonic Love Triangle
Two attractive people will battle to the death over the right to be friends with you (I wrote this in A Day of Darkness and otherwise have only seen it in the kdrama Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938)
The UnChosen One
In the magical fantasy world, everyone has super awesome magical powers, except the protagonist (A Dream of Fire by JR Rasmussen did this SO WELL and it made me SO HAPPY; I also plan to do it myself in an upcoming project, A Lord of Thorns and Teeth)
Dying Baby King
Terminally ill teen boy should be asking out his crush and having fun, not killing himself running a country (I wrote this in The Lady of Kingdoms with my squishy darling Baldwin IV, and I've only ever seen it done otherwise in the Trevor Nunn movie My Lady Jane)
Disabled Love Interest
Put your romantic male lead in a wheelchair you cowards (Stella Dorthwany's Song and Flame and @rj-anderson's Knife have two of the best disabled love interests I've seen)
Sword in the Bed
You've heard of Only One Bed but this is the superior medieval variant: before they bunk down together one of them draws a naked sword and lays it in the bed between them (IIRC, it happens in the Welsh Pwyll, Prince of Dyfed, and apart from that and some other medieval legends and fairytales, I've only seen it in an unfinished work by @rj-anderson auuuugh)
Fake Divorced
Exactly what it says on the tin (I've never seen this? but DV I'll be writing it into the 5th Miss Dark book)
Bad Fictional Matriarchy
What if the patriarchy was a fantasy matriarchy? It'd still be bad, obviously. I see this so rarely but it is always an opportunity for fantastic, layered social criticism (Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie did it well; I'm struggling to recall the one (1) other fantasy novel I read that did it!)
Sad Wet Puppy X Righteous Female Warrior ETL
Enemies-to-lovers, but he's a skinny waterlogged little weirdo and she's the righteous paladin who is going to hound him to his destruction without mercy on the strength of her own heavenly wrath (it's the one thing in common between the kdrama Flower of Evil and the cdrama Till the End of the Moon and both of them sent me absolutely feral, plus I have an untitled project on the backburner that will give me the chance to do my own version of this...)

A VERY INCOMPLETE LIST (PART 1)
I set out to make an ACD style incomplete list of things I loved about the RWRB movie throughout my third rewatch. I should've known better, because I'm not an Alex, I'm very much a Henry, and what you get instead is a VERY VERY thorough list of the things I loved in the film.
(This will have to be in two parts because I had to pause every few minutes to write shit down and it took me so long to get halfway through the film that it's bedtime now)
Alex being bratty in the limo (yes, opening scene)
Drunk Alex at the wedding, rubbing someone’s fur, chucking a canapé behind a sofa
Alex in a leather jacket 🥵
Mutters, “…you don’t wanna hear from me today”
“…article nothing of the US Constitution”
“No one in their right mind would ever give you a gun”
“You know I have a shitzu named Jonathan” and “That’s my son you’re talking about”
Shaan shoving Alex through a tree
“Hey Shaan, you think maybe I could get a little…” and Shaan's, “You’re fine”
Henry’s fake expressions, smiles, etc for the interview being so distinctly different than what we see later on are his honest ones
Alex mimicking one of Henry’s freestyle raps
“Vicky. *fists* Classic”
“Santal 33.” “It means you got good taste, Alex.”
Alex’s entire posture in the hospital closet
The way Henry laughs when he says “Oh my god it is!”
“Later, Shaan” and ✌️✌️

The way Henry looks when he’s leaving, like he can’t believe his luck in getting to have Alex but also that he’s sure it will set him on fire and destroy him

Henry hitching his hips up so Alex can pull his trousers down

SANDRA JOSEPH: “My FAVE costume was probably the Don Juan dress, for a number of reasons. It was the most flattering dress for my figure; made my pear-shape look more hourglass. It was comfortable, though I let them nip in the waist until I could barely breathe. (...) But I think the main reason it was my favorite dress was because putting it on meant I was in the home stretch. “Wishing” was over… whew! That song always left me feeling like a wrung-out wash cloth. Don Juan was a fun, sexy scene to play, and there was only one more costume change. I think I loved the dress as much for its beauty as for what it symbolized: I’d crested the mountain. It was all downhill after that”

Girls in White Dresses...

Every single mutual on this beloved hellsite. I have you all tucked in a soft, cozy corner of my heart

Tea. And the fact that my family know I love tea to the point where two different people bought me teabag organisation boxes within a 6 week period
Hedgehogs

Musical theatre (if you couldn't tell from the title)
Making things for my little niece who is coming in five weeks, and plotting things to make for my teeny tiny nibling who is due in November but so so loved already
The Sims
My elderly dog. Specifically, how he acts all stiff and old when it's convenient, but then takes running leaps over pots when I'm gardening and pulls seedlings out of their punnets for me
Singing very loudly to Glee versions of songs when driving for work
Soft blankets
The smell of an incoming storm
Yelling at my friends in their DMs in all caps about the truly INCREDIBLE things they write and make
And also yelling at them in all caps about random things, like songs that itch my brain just right, or how proud I am of them for an act of self-care

Someday I’ll write an essay about how Mireille Duroc is the ultimate musumeyaku role, an essay that you can fight me over and you will lose, because I am right. This one is always so cute to see. Here are my five things:
Flax linen sheets - so soft, so cool in warm weather, so pleasantly wrinkled. Cosy as.
Velvet pillows - absentmindedly rubbing them with your hands or feet while reading or listening to music or talking, ugh just very relaxing and calming, I love it.
My awesome terrarium, I spend maybe a bit too much time staring at the moss and the leaves while in boring meetings, lol.
Escape to the Chateau. I've watched every season at least six times. I put it on when I need background noise, I put it on when I'm feeling sad or unwell, it just is so comforting and cheering and delightful, and they're living my dream but I don't hate them for it lol.
The Lives of the Mayfair Witches trilogy by Anne Rice. I first read these in my very early teens and for all their flaws I still fucking love them, and I've just finished re-reading The Witching Hour over the past two weeks while recovering from a chest infection.
Honourable mentions must also go to coca-cola, pizza, fresh flowers, What We Do In The Shadows, my bluetooth speaker(s), cheesecake, Nigella Lawson and all dogs.
