Some time ago we had the #PaleoZoo challenge on Discord, sponsored by Prehistoric Kingdom.
Goal was the creation of realistic zoo habitats that could hause extinct creatures. As examples I created a bunch of them over the course of a weekend.
Part three. A Shringasaurus temple, Archaeotherium getting brushed, Stegouros burrow, Plateosaurus hatchery, Wakaleo enclosure, Eryops colony, Lystrosaurus lookout, Giganthopithecus canopy walk, Australoraptor waterfalls, Numudotherium pond and the Erlikosaurus canyon.

Quick Concept_Bringing back the turtle in ‘cheloniformis’. Digital, 2023.
Had fun thinking about Therizinosaurus’ mating dance as a mixture between painted turtles and birds-of-paradise.

Fossil Friday!
This is Falcarius.
He is an early therizinosaur from the Cedar Mountain Formation in the Yellow Cat Member. He is about 13ft long and is the basal most therizinosaur showing a transition from traditional theropod body plan to the therizinosaur one.
Look how tiny he ia beside cousin Nothronychus!
Many different ontogenetic stages have been found (growth stages) with the smallest being just over 3ft.

Tickle chicken >:3
I made a semi-realistic Therizinosaurus, as they’re my second-favorite theropods and I felt it would be fun to try to make an anatomically-correct pointy birb giant :)

Dinofact #118
Falcarius is considered the most basal therizinosaurian genus, and considered the transitional dinosaur between the standard theropod bodyplan and the unusual appearance of therizinosaurids. Unlike more advanced therizinosaurs, Falcarius had a propubic pelvis, three-toed feet, and a smaller first toe.
