We need to realize that people being wrong about being a therian doesn’t automatically make them fake.
Maybe they were misinformed, or had the wrong idea. Or maybe it was just a misguided hyperfixation, or maybe they were simply a child.
There’s a difference between “quitting,” and being wrong. It’s time we start noticing that.
We’re a community, act like it.

Btw most of the products on AliExpress are stolen or a scam, so just avoid the place no matter how inciting the prices are >:/
I am working on reporting them (the process is annoyingly and stupidly complicated), but in the mean time if anyone has readbubble alternatives that AliExpress doesn't steal from, I would love to here them (that is if they even exist :/)

For my therian friends out there who miss hunting!
Here’s a realistic prey tutorial:
-Get some strawberries, if you don’t like strawberries, Raspberries will work too, I just prefer Strawberries because raspberries are too soft and I like to munch.
-slice the strawberry into halves or fourths depending on the size of prey you want
-make sure to dry the fruit, make sure no excess water is dripping off!
-get a papertowel (I’d say one per two prey) and tear it in half hamburger style, then wrap the fruit in the paper towel burrito style (make sure it’s more on one side!) and twist the long back so it looks like the tail of a mouse, twist the front so the fruit doesn’t come out!
-hide these around your house (don’t forget about em! Don’t want ants! If you tend to forget things write down how many there are supposed to be and don’t hide them in very complex or dirty spots!)
-you can hunt them any way you’d like but here are multiple ways:
1. Try to find them from the very first one you placed down to the very last one you place down, see if you can remember.
2. Since we (sadly) don’t have as good smell as an animal, tie a long string or thread to a mouse and wind it around a bit anywhere really, then cut the string off at a random point, this way when you re-find the string it’ll be like catching and tracking the scent! (Works for me, not sure if it works for anyone else, also bonus points if the string is scented with perfume or smth :D)
3. Use them to practice pouncing, it can help you be more accurate and you get a tasty snacc :D
-how to eat:
1. Just use your mouth or claws to tear open the papertowel and make sure to spit it aside, then just eat the fruit inside, easy :D

Cw: Mention of depersonalization(???)
Hello!
I'm Teddy and I'm new to Tumblr. I originally came on here to see if any alterhumans have had the same or similar experiences to me. I've felt very alone in my experiences and I think recently I've had an awakening.
•I don't know for sure what I am exactly but I think it's some form of corvid, raccoon, and/or opossum. I think it's some form of mix between them. I get some feeling of wings or something on my back at times. I get feeling of claws on my hands and feet even though birds don't have arms(??).
•I don't feel human but when someone jokes about me being nonhuman(usually my sibling because y'know how they are)I get very upset because deep down I know they are right in someway.
•I have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder before(which I'm getting therapy for, yippie) and I'm convinced that I'm neurodivigent.
•I also don't have a set gender identity and sexual orientation but I use he/they. I've noticed a lot of LGBTQ people are alterhumans too.
I won't get too in depth in this because I'm not too comfortable yet.
I'm not here to solve what I am. I'm not here to dump my problems. I just want to know I'm not alone in this. I don't have anyone to talk about this to because of stigmas and stereotypes going around.
I'm open to anyone giving tips or suggestions too.

Just don’t wanna do it for whatever reason? Still a valid therian.
You are valid, it doesn’t matter if you don’t wear gear, don’t do quadrobics, or try to fit into human society. The only requirement of being a therian is believing you are an animal/insect. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise ❤️

sure! I gave it the otherkin symbol behind it cuz (correct me if I'm wrong!) having a fictional species kin is more an otherkin connection then therian? (again, if I got that wrong pls lmk and I can change the symbol in the back over! I'm still learning about this stuff TwT)

Therian Vent(sorta):
Before I knew what therianopy was, I’d have this constant feeling that I wasn’t me. That this wasn’t my body, my mind. I’ve always had a deep interests for Forests, so I thought I liked wildlife, but it turns out I only liked forests, I like it more than the plains, the beach, the desert, and I didn’t know why.
Then I found out what therianopy was, and I eventually found out I was a catkin, I still felt incomplete.
I felt like I was somehow fighting with myself
I then had a dream one night, about a white wolf and a black cat fighting, when I tried to stop them, they phased through me.
This continued on for months and the feeling eventually stopped
Then I had another dream
The wolf and the cat were sitting, backs turned to eachother. The cat sorta flopped it’s tail towards the wolf and the wolf placed its tail on the cat’s tail.
These two dreams I remember very clearly, more clear than any of my other dreams, and I think my two kin-types got along
