Imogen really is the sad boi of this campaign and I'm living for it. Especially if it gives us a chance to see more of Laura Bailey acting her ass off.

Okay okay you are so right but like, sad boi similarities between Caleb and Imogen

Both magic users

Both have marks/scars up their arms that have been put their without their consent

Tragic past involving their family

Both have relationships to some sort of animal they had in the past but haven't let go of (a cat for Caleb, a horse for Imogen)

They also both start the campaign with a friend who's considered unusual or odd and will absolutely draw others attention

Trying their damnedest to get into libraries

They both have a theme when doing magic (lightning/fire)

Accents!

Honestly the entire table is good at angst and sad stuff but Laura and Liam are just so so good with their deliveries

no but why can’t tsukishima be a hopeless romantic. why can’t akaashi be an idiot in love. why can’t oikawa love someone selflessly. why cant kuroo be blushy and shy when you tell him you love him. why can’t atsumu be a giver, why can’t ushijima leave you cute notes with bad drawings for footnotes, why can’t tendou have soft hands and gentle words. why are these characters spread so thin. why are they so often only boring or mean or bland or bad at love in fanon. who said writing them purely in love, soft and sweet, means writing them out of character. why cant they be sweet boys. why not. 

i realize this isn't like.... as big deal as some of the other issues w/ this site, but... running a blog can be super lonely w/o people to talk to + build ideas with, so don't forget to send asks to people you don't/wouldn't normally <3333

I think one of my favorite things about the tragedy of wei wuxian and his death is that none of it is anybodys fault, or almost that All of it is Everybodys fault. like yeah sure there are moments and characters you could point to and say if this hadn't happened, or if they hadn't done this, or of wei wuxian himself had acted differently, maybe it wouldn't have ended like it did, but there is just so much that so many people did or did not do, that it's almost impossible to take one thing and blame wei wuxians downfall and death on it. it's not that one person ruined everything or that he doomed himself with one action, there's no going back in time and saving him or blaming anybody for all of his suffering, because there is just too much of it, taking one act out of the equation wouldn't mean anything. the thing that makes nevernight so devastating is the culmination of it. wei wuxian has suffered so much, always the one to carry the burden, but here, at the end, he just can't do it any longer. all of the tragedy is finally rushing forward to meet him, and now it's all too much. he's been dead since the beginning etc etc

Saizo vs Balthus

You asked a toughie cause I find them so different but. Despite being harder for me to draw, I think Saizo actually wins this round! I'm really weak for Saizo.

i’d have cleaned these up better but instead of pen pressure i have a pressure headache. maybe after i draw the other things that i need to get done digitally first i’ll redraw it nicer and in color

i don't have any outlet to express how fond i am of tweek as often as i would like to. what am i supposed to do, just post "i love tweek" on tumblr five times a day? that would benefit no one.

cannot stop thinking about the bizarre social world of monsters inc 

like, first movie, they really have no actual understanding of humans as People, they’re considered like dangerous animals that emit such powerful screams they can be used as energy and will absolutely kill you if they even touch you

so scarers are incredibly brave and heroic for facing that threat to get the essential power their society needs

but now they’ve realized laugh power is even stronger and more ethical, and theres a big difference in how the monsters interact with children now. like imagine if skunk... pheromones? gas? whatever it is that skunks produce. imagine if that was an essential energy source. learning how to scare them to get them to produce it wouldn’t be that complicated. but what if they only did that when they’re amused. what is funny to a skunk? how do you tell a joke to a skunk and have it Understand the humor. especially if generations of skunks have learned to be afraid of you 

so even if they never thought of humans as People before, they must be realizing it now, right? these are creatures with comprehension of language and humor. so wouldn’t all the former scarers now be coping with the realization that they are almost definitely the cause of deep childhood trauma for probably several generations of humans 

not to mention the Monster In The Closet is a well known childhood fear, monster=scary is a basic fact of human culture, so now the incoming ��jokesters” have the insurmountable task of “this being has lived its whole life learning that monsters are scary and bad and will hide in your closet and Get You. now i need to come through the closet and make them laugh somehow” 

its not just “they gotta be real good at comedy” they have to somehow navigate a massive cultural shift in a species that has been writing stories about how scary they are since, like, humans began telling stories. and there can be no widescale communication because they still cant interact with adult humans for some reason. how are the adults going to respond to a sudden surge of children across the globe now saying “its okay, monsters are funny and nice actually” especially for the parents who have vague memory they’ve convinced themselves were nightmares of That Thing That Was In My Closet when they were children

someone’s gotta remember, right. especially since we know monsters often will have one child they scare repeatedly, randall was “boo’s monster” to the point she started drawing him. these are not exclusively babies, so someone has to remember their monster. there have to be monster conspiracy theorists out there intensely monitoring closets or like removing the doors from all the closets in their house. i know the monsters would just shred the door if a house proved unsafe for them or not a viable energy source anymore but still
