ALL 'SECRET' VIDEOS IN THE OPPOSITE AU!
These aren't offical for anything! These are fake scripts for 'secret' videos found on the WH site, but for my AU!
FRANK AND EDDIE
[The scene is a mess of crafts paper, glitter glue, and stickers.]
[The audio opens with a loud, sudden ear-piercing scream from Frank.]
FRANK: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!EDDIE: [throws the door open, huffing as though he ran there. His voice is uncharacteristically worried.] Frank!? What’s going on!? Why.. [his voice relaxes as he sees Frank, returning to montone. He sighs.] ..why are you on your crafts table? FRANK: That!! THAT!!! [Frank seems to be pointing at something.] EDDIE: … That? FRANK: YES YES!! GET IT AWAY!! EDDIE: ..the tiny little beetle right there? FRANK: MHM!! It flew into the window and tried to KILL ME!! EDDIE: … Alright, whatever- FRANK: NONONONONO!! EDDIE: What!? You said get rid of it! FRANK: DONT STEP ON IT!!
EDDIE: Well, what do you want me to do!? FRANK: just- get it out!!! EDDIE: mmh.. Alright, give me that. The construction paper. FRANK: give you what- wha- [Frank lifts his shoe as Eddie takes some paper he was standing on.]
EDDIE: [Eddie grunts as he crouches down, pushing the beetle onto the paper] C’mon, on the paper bud.. [Frank whines] EDDIE: [Eddie takes the beetle outside, flapping the paper] Go on.. Go go go… C’mon get off- [The buzzing sound of a beetle flying away] There it’s gone- huff! FRANK: [Frank jumps off the table and hugs Eddie suddenly, his squeaker making a little squee] You’re my herooo!! EDDIE: yeah, I- okay- sure, [Eddie clears his throat and pats Frank’s back.] You’re welcome.
FRANK: You saved my life! EDDIE: I just put a bug outside! They ain’t even that scary! FRANK: but-but those pinchers!! EDDIE: Its for grabbing things its size! Like– food! EDDIE: Ugh.. you’re not scared of them, are you Wally?
FRANK AND JULIE
FRANK: Well I think I'm plenty funny, Julie! Barnaby thinks I'm a hoot and a half!
JULIE: Only a hoot and a half? What happened to the other half? [Mean laugh]
FRANK: [frustrated hmph!]
JULIE: That’s not even an accomplishment. Barnaby wouldn’t know a good joke if it walked up to him, introduced itself, and slapped him in the face.
FRANK: [Said with a pout in his tone] yes he would! You know, Julie, you’re not the only funny one in this neighborhood!
JULIE: Oh yeah? You might be right, cloud head! Eddie’s a pretty funny guy too-
FRANK: Not Eddie! Me! I have a joke that will knock your boots off! I’ve been working on it all week!
JULIE: [‘tch’s] Oh good.. all week? It took you that long? [her voice is a little louder as she turns to Wally] You hearing this, creeper?
FRANK: I’ll tell you, listen to this one! [Clears throat] What did the number three say to the number two after beating him in a game of checkers?
JULIE: Oh my lord..
FRANK: I One!
JULIE: [Pretend grunt of pain] Oh my god! That was worse than listening to Howdy explain economics!!
FRANK: Oh it was not, Julie! It was a good joke! Don’t you get it? One is a number but it also sounds like won! You know, when you won a game!
JULIE: [Another gasp of anguish] Now he’s explaining it! Oh- When will the agony stop?! [the sound of Julie falling to her knees, the grass squishing beneath her] Feed me to my venus flytraps, I’m going into the light! Augh! [dramatic gasp as she flops onto her back]
FRANK: Oh Julie, you just don’t understand comedy that isn’t hurting others! It was a funny joke! Wasn’t it, Wally?
HOWDY AND BARNABY
[The scene is what appears to be Barnaby’s desk. Theres two books, a gramophone, and a delightful faint sound of old music] HOWDY: so.. you don’t charge anythin’ for your products!?
BARNABY: well.. they’re not products, Pillar, they’re just books! People return them, anyhow, why would I charge for something I’m going to get back?
HOWDY: [talking incredibly fast, spouting off his business nonsense] A quick fee! People come by all the time and check out books, 50 cents for each checkout! 50 cents for each book, someone comes by and checks out 3 books, boom, a dollar and a half for you and thats just one person! You can start a library card business, too! More like a subscription, free books! But they have to pay 10 bucks a month to keep the card!-
BARNABY: Pillar! [Barnaby cuts him off, but he continues]
HOWDY: [interrupting, continuing to spout] Would if a book gets damaged?
BARNABY: [gasping, as if Howdy talking fast exhausted him] Well, I-I don’t mind at all! I replace it on my own, sure it takes a bit to find and purchase to replace but-
HOWDY: [astonished, interrupting] It comes out of ya own pocket!?
BARNABY: well- yes! Accidents happen, Pillar, I wouldn’t charge for a simple mistake.
HOWDY: How much does a book cost to replace?
BARNABY: Well I dunno… aah, 40 dollars on average-
HOWDY: 40 whole dollars!? You’re killin’ me, Barn!
BARNABY: I’m sorry my business model is hurting you, Pillar, but that’s how I run things.
HOWDY: If I was in your place I would not run it this way.
BARNABY: You are in my place! [He chuckles, amused. He straightens himself and talks sweetly again] You run that charming bodega.
HOWDY: Well, yes, yes I do!
BARNABY: Quite well, might I add.
HOWDY: [still speaking in his astonished tone] Thank you!
BARNABY: You are welcome!
HOWDY: Yeah- I- what were we fightin’ about?
BARNABY: I don’t reckon we we’re fighting, Pillar.
HOWDY: I was sure we was! I was angry.
BARNABY: I wasn’t! I thought we were having a creative discussion about my business.
HOWDY AND JULIE
[The scene is a close up of Howdy’s products.]
[The bell above the door rings, and the sound of Julie’s heels can be heard as she walks inside.]
HOWDY: Julie! How are ya?
JULIE: Same as always. [Her heels continue as she approaches Howdy’s counter] I’m looking for something to make for dinner for me and Sally.
HOWDY: I was unaware she ate.
JULIE: You’re not funny.
HOWDY: Gotta make sure whatever it is is small enough to fit up her nose.
JULIE: [The sound of her heels walking away as she leaves to explore the aisles]
HOWDY: Oh come back! I got one more!
JULIE: [At a distance] Die!
[Some beats pass, Howdy taps on the counter lazily]
HOWDY: Okay, what are you looking for?
JULIE: Just something that smells good. I don’t want to force Sally to eat, I’m thinking about cooking it while shes on her computer, so she smells the food and comes to eat on her own accord-
HOWDY: So-
JULIE: Make a joke about her snorting it and I’ll tear your antenna off.
HOWDY: Damn, jeez…
JULIE: Hm.. [Julie speaks to herself as she takes items off the shelf] Ah, sweet, here we are.. I can make some fried rice.. Oo, Mackerel.. [She speaks to Howdy] Do you have any jarred Romesco?
HOWDY: Probably.
JULIE: Whatever, I’ll make it myself. [She grabs more items, followed by the sound of her heels walking to the counter]
HOWDY: Right, [beeping sounds as he rings her up] Total comes out to 176 dollars and 32 cents.
JULIE: [Groan] Here.
HOWDY: Thaank you.. Have a nice day.
JULIE: Uh huh. [Julie grabs her bags and leaves the store]
HOWDY: [Howdy hums and taps the counter.] ..Oh! Hey, didn’t see ya there. What do you need, Wally?
POPPY AND BARNABY
[The scene is a close up on a bookshelf, Wally’s hand is visible resting on the edge. The usual sound of delightful old music can be heard faintly]
POPPY: [Distant] Barn? Ya home?
BARNABY: Over here, dear!
POPPY: Ah, whatcha doing?
BARNABY: Oh, I was just in the middle of finding a book for him.
POPPY: Oh- didn’t seeya there. Well, I just thought I’d check on ya. Haven’t spoken to you in a good minute. [Poppy takes a seat. Barnaby joins her.]
BARNABY: I’m doing just fine. How are you?
POPPY: I’m good. Julie’s birthday is in a few weeks, I’m planning for that!
BARNABY: ..it’s not for another two months?
POPPY: Yeah, and Julie likes expensive wine.
BARNABY: Ahah!
[There’s a few beats of comfortable silence.]
POPPY: …You sure you doin’ okay?
BARNABY: Hm? Yes? Why do you ask?
POPPY: I’m just worried about you, that’s all. Y’know me.
BARNABY: I do.
[The comfortable silence melts away, a bit of tension filling the air.]
POPPY: Let’s talk about something else.
BARNABY: Let’s!
POPPY: Whatcha readin’ lately?
BARNABY: Lots of historical fiction, mostly.
POPPY: Ooh!
BARNABY: Are you reading anything?
POPPY: Aah.. eeeh…
BARNABY: Haha.. It’s alright. I know it’s not for everyone.
POPPY: Haha. I’m glad to see you’re doin’ alright, Barn.
BARNABY: Thanks for being concerned about me, Partridge.
POPPY: Of course. [Poppy stands.] Never be afraid to call me, Barn.
BARNABY: See you..
[A few bits of silence. Eventually, Barnaby takes in a breath]
BARNABY: Always nice when she visits! How are you doing Darling?
POPPY AND JULIE
[The scene is a table with a cake. The cake has “HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIE” in pink icing, as well as a glass of wine.]
JULIE: I’m so happy you’re letting me throw my birthday at your place again, Ma!
POPPY: Of course! Why wouldn’t I?
JULIE: Ahaha! Ma, you’re delightful. Seriously, what did we do to deserve such a delightful neighborhood mother?
POPPY: Ya don’t need to do anythin’! I’d do this for anyone. Anyway, let’s talk snacks!
JULIE: Let’s! [Julie is incredibly cheerfully and sing-songy]
POPPY: What ya thinkin?
JULIE: Ooh! [The sound of crumpling paper as she takes something out of her pocket] When I took that quick trip out to the cave, I managed to grab some of my moms old tapas recipes! [She hands the paper to Poppy] It would make me so happy if you could-
POPPY: recreate them?
JULIE: Yes!
POPPY: I’d be delighted! These sound delicious, too! Your mama made these?
JULIE: Mhm! My mom loved cooking, she cooked every chance she got! Any of our birthdays, the-day-after-your-birthday day, the-week-after-your-birthday day, its-a-celebrites-birthday day, fuck-it-I-just-wanna-cook-for-my-kids day.. Any reason!
POPPY: Sounds like she meant a lot to ya.
JULIE: Ah, she did.. She was so sweet. You would’ve loved her, Ma!
POPPY: If it ain’t a sore subject, can I ask how she passed?
JULIE: Natural causes.. She died peacefully in her sleep, and doing what she loved! She made us a delicious feast before she did.. My siblings and I have this joke.. We say she was supposed to die the night before, but asked the angels to give her just one more day to give her kids one last meal.
POPPY: That’s so sweet, Julie.
JULIE: [A small hum as she smiles]
POPPY: I’ll do my best to recreate your moms recpies.. And I’d be happy if you helped me!
JULIE: Oh- Ma! I’d love to!
POPPY: Sounds like a plan. Oh, hey, you wanna help too, Wally?
JULIE AND SALLY
[The scene the outside of Sally’s house. A close up on the chipped purple paint, and a window just barely in view at the top. All the voices are slightly distant]
JULIE: hup- hup!!
SALLY: Huh..?
JULIE: Hey! [Strained] Sorry! I wanted to surprise you, but it is hard to break into your house! Ugh! [A thump is heard as Julie falls inside]
SALLY: [Sally giggles] Are you okay?
JULIE: Perfect. [Julie stands up and poofs her skirt] Okay!
SALLY: What’s in the bag..?
JULIE: It’s a surprise! [She says sing-songy]
[There’s a few beats of tension, Sally’s breath tightening]
JULIE: [Julie rushes to speak again] ..It’s just some ingredients! I wanted to make you some dinner.
SALLY: Oh! …Can I see?
JULIE: Yeah! [Theres some heel clicks as she walks over to Sally, opening her bag and showing her the ingredients]
SALLY: What’s this..?
JULIE: Oh! That’s for me. It’s a Trinidad moruga pepper.
SALLY: What’s this…?
JULIE: Mackerel. You like fish, yeah?
SALLY: I.. think so.
JULIE: How about I cook up a quick sample right now and you can try it?
SALLY: Oh, okay.
JULIE: Mhm! I’m sure you’ll love it.
SALLY: Hehe..
JULIE: Alright, let me go see if you’re oven still works and- Hey!! [Julie’s heels are heard as she approaches the window and looks outside] Get out of here creeper!!
SALLY: wh-whose there!?
JULIE: Don’t worry! It’s just Wally!
BARNABY AND SALLY
[The scene is a wooden floor.]
[Barnaby can be heard singing.]
BARNABY: Heartaches.. ~ Heartaches..~
BARNABY: My loving you, they're only heartaches~
BARNABY: Your kiss was such a - oh! [He’s interrupted by the phone ringing. He answers.] Good evening. Barns books!
SALLY: ..Hello..?
BARNABY: Hello? [Barnaby is just as confused] Whose this?
SALLY: M..mm…my girlfriend gave me your number..
BARNBAY: [An sound of realization and relief] Hello. You must be Starlet.
SALLY: ..yes..
BARNABY: It’s nice to meet you. My name is Barnaby. Julie has told me a lot about you! What do you need?
SALLY: I just.. I was… I think I’m sick.
BARNABY: Oh! What are your symptoms? [Barnaby pushes some things around his desk, finding a notepad. He clicks a pen.]
SALLY: I just uhm.. M..my heart is beating really fast.
BARNABY: Mhm.. [Barnaby writes it down]
SALLY: and.. I feel really warm..
BARNABY: Mhm.. [He writes it down]
SALLY: and I.. I.. Don’t want to sleep.. Or eat.. Anything..
BARNABY: … [Barnaby stops writing] ..I apologize if this is invasive, but Julie informed me you are an addict.
SALLY: Oh..
BARNABY: Are you currently under the influence?
SALLY: ..why?
BARNABY: You just described very common symptoms of cocaine abuse.
SALLY: …
BARNABY: ..? Hello?
SALLY: Sorry.
BARNABY: No need to- oh. [Sally hangs up on him] Ah.. Well, she hung up.. I hope she calls back. [He hums in worry] Anywho.. Sorry for that.. Do you need anything, Darling?
EDDIE AND JULIE
[The scene almost looks like a spa. There is nail polish, makeup brushes, an ash tray, and bottle of wine.]
EDDIE: So, then he tells me that the money isn’t enough!
JULIE: [gasps in offense] It’s all you had!
EDDIE: It’s all I had, exactly!
JULIE: What did he want
EDDIE: You’re never gonna believe this.
JULIE: Mm?
EDDIE: He tells me.. He can sell my left arm.
JULIE: No!
EDDIE: Yes!!
JULIE: What the fuck!
EDDIE: Yeah!
JULIE: That’s when you jumped on him?
EDDIE: That’s when I jumped on him, yeah.
JULIE: Mm, absolutely deserved.
EDDIE: Mhhhm..
JULIE: Want more wine?
EDDIE: Yesss..
[The wine bottle is taken out of sight]
JULIE: Here you aree..
EDDIE: Mm.. Thanks for inviting me to your girls night.. Even though-
JULIE: Girls night is for anyone, babe. Besides, I wanted to hear the story of you making Howdy your bitch again.
EDDIE: [A shocked laugh, the sound of him playfully hitting Julie] Jules!
JULIE: Ah! Haha! You ass I almost spilt my wine!!
EDDIE: Hah! [Eddie snort-laughs]
[They laugh together for awhile, before calming down]
JULIE: so… Why’d you bring him with you?
EDDIE: Huh? Him? Oh.. Frank couldn’t make it and he seemed like a nice substitute.
JULIE: Awwh.. Why couldn’t Frank make it?
[A pink cigarette comes into view and is flicked into the ashtray]
EDDIE: Some sorta lesson with Barn.. I don’t know.. Can I get a cig?
JULIE: Hm? You smoke Rose Butts?
EDDIE: I know, I know, it’s a [Eddie puts on a mocking tone] “Girl Cigeratte”..
JULIE: No, no, you do you, but I’m more surprised you smoke. Here..
EDDIE: God, in this neighborhood? Who doesn’t?
JULIE: Frank.
EDDIE: I- well- that’s fair
JULIE: Wally.
EDDIE: Okay. So the two innocent guys don’t smoke.
JULIE: Barnaby doesn’t smoke.
EDDIE: Okay, shut up.
[Julie giggles, Eddie chuckles with him]
EDDIE: Mm.. Anyways, you wanna do his makeup or something?
JULIE: Ooh! Yeah! Wanna get your makeup done, Wally?
FRANK AND HOWDY
[The scene is Howdy’s store, once again. This time its a view of an apple display.]
[The sound of Frank humming the tune of ‘There Was An Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe’]
FRANK: Howdy..
HOWDY: What is it, Nuvola?
FRANK: Do you think Eddie has feelings for mee..?
HOWDY: Hun, I don’t think Eddie has feelings.
FRANK: But- like- do you think he.. Like likes me?
HOWDY: He certainly cares about you more others. [Howdy walks away and begins shelving as he talks to Frank]
FRANK: I mean like.. Like.. if you think I asked him to hang out.. Like hang-out hang-out! He’d.. say yes?
HOWDY: Why are you asking me? Not only have I not been on a date in 12 years, [he sets something on the shelf] but Eddie also despises me, almost as much as I despise him.
FRANK: I know! But you know him super well and you spend a lot of time together! I figured he must’ve told you how he feels about me!
HOWDY: We spend a lot of time together, yeah, but we’re not being all buddy-buddy. He spends time in my store because he’s either blacked out drunk, or in the process of getting blacked out drunk. [He sets another item on the shelf] Or threatening me.
FRANK: Hmm.. [Frank pouts]
HOWDY: Eugh.. Listen, if you wanna know if Eddie likes you, why don’t you just march down to that Pot Office and ask!
FRANK: Because I’m nervousss!! [Frank whines]
HOWDY: You ain’t gonna know unless you ask! Just go down to that damn office, grab Eddie by his ugly face and say, ‘Hey! I like you! You wanna go on a date sometime?’ if he says no, move on! You probably doged a bullet! If he says yes, good for you!
FRANK: But I’m nervous!! [Frank reiterated, his voice cracking]
HOWDY: Then stay nervous! If you ask, you’ll know! If you don’t, you’ll be in a perpetual state of non-closure.
FRANK: [Frank whines again]
HOWDY: Just go! Go ask him!
FRANK: But would if- Hey!
HOWDY: [Howdy pushes him out] Go go! Just go ask him, stop bothering me!
FRANK: Okay okay! I’m going!
HOWDY: Good!
FRANK: Aah! [Frank runs out of the bodega and seemingly towards the Post Office]
HOWDY: Eugh.. Finally!! Damn cloud.. How do you deal with em, Wally?
EDDIE AND SALLY
[The scene is the gravel path, seemingly in front of Sally’s house]
[The sound of Eddie’s military-grade boots approaching]
EDDIE: Hm? Oh, hey bud.. ‘Scuse me..
[The sound of the mailslot opening]
EDDIE: Sally?
[Theres some shuffling inside of her house before Sally appears]
SALLY: hey.
EDDIE: There ya are.. Here, got this for you. Oh- [the sound of a paper bag being snatched]
SALLY: Thanks.
EDDIE: I uh.. I put a sandwich in there for ya.
SALLY: Oh-!
EDDIE: I know you like your noodles.. Thought it would be nice to have.. With the noodles, yknow?
SALLY: Thanks.
EDDIE: Course.. Uh.. Take of yourself, Sally..
SALLY: wait, wait,
EDDIE: hm?
SALLY: You.. Take care of yourself too!
EDDIE: Hah.. yeah, I will.
SALLY: I mean it! You always tell me to take care of yourself but I know you don’t.
EDDIE: …Yeah but I don’t care about me.
SALLY: I care about you.
EDDIE: ..yeah.
SALLY: Okay, you eat a sandwich today.
EDDIE: I will.
SALLY: and I’ll eat mine.
EDDIE: Okay.
SALLY: Okay.. Bye.
[The mailslot closes]
EDDIE: Seeya..
[Beats of silence, some sounds of Eddie kicking the dirt.]
EDDIE: Poor girl, right? [He says, speaking to someone else] ..Do you regularly sit outside her house, Wally?
POPPY AND SALLY
[The scene is some grass, Wally’s hand can be visible laying in it]
POPPY: Saallyy.. Sally? [Poppy’s voice approaches, a small squawk as she almost steps on Wally] Sorry, dear, didn’t see ya. Sally! Ya home?
SALLY: Hello..? [Sallys voice is distant and muffled]
POPPY: Hello!
SALLY: ..[Her voice is closer as she approaches the window. It’s still slightly muffled, as though shes behind a curtain] Whose that?
POPPY: I’m Poppy! You can call me Ma, sweetie. Julie tell ya about me?
SALLY: ..yeah, she has.. What do you want?
POPPY: I was comin’ to invite you to a party-
SALLY: No.
POPPY: Wha? I just figured it’d be nice! Get ya out of the house, meet new people-
SALLY: No thanks.
POPPY: You sure? You just wanna stay inside all day?
SALLY: All my life, actually.
POPPY: Ah.. I.. uhm.. Well. We’re gonna have snacks!
SALLY: Cool..
POPPY: Nachos and chips, and I’m gonna cook dinner for everyone and.. Eh..
SALLY: …Can you bring me some?
POPPY: Wha?
SALLY: I have.. A window in the back, that doesn’t have any glass or a screen or anything.. Can you bring me some food to that?
POPPY: Sure! I’d be down!
SALLY: Thanks… Ma..?
POPPY: Thas the spirit! Sorry I tried to make ya come outside.
SALLY: It’s okay.
POPPY: Well, I’ll see- eh.. Well.. I’ll talk to ya later!
SALLY: Bye. [There’s shuffling inside as Sally leaves]
POPPY: What a sweet girl. You know her, Walls?
POPPY AND EDDIE
[The scene is the floor of the post office. Letters are scattered about, along with pens, pencils, highlighters, and two vodka bottles]
POPPY: Eddie? [Poppy’s voice is overlaid with her claws against the floor] You here?
EDDIE: mmgnnm…
POPPY: Ah, there you are.. What ya doin’ under the table..?
EDDIE: Headache.. [he hiccups]
POPPY: ..so you got under the table
EDDIE: Yup..
POPPY: C’mere dear..
EDDIE: Nooo…
[Some struggle as Poppy attempts to help Eddie to his feet. Eddie sits on the table he was sitting under]
POPPY: You alright?
EDDIE: I’m.. peachy…
POPPY: You need’a throw up?
EDDIE: …no…
POPPY: Alright.. Well.. [Poppy sighs] Let’s see if I can get ya to bed. C’mere..
EDDIE: Nooo..
[Poppy helps Eddie away, theres some struggle and shuffling and Eddie complaining, but they make it eventually. There’s a small ‘pomf’ as Eddie lands on his couch]
POPPY: [her voice distant] There you are hun.. [her voice returns with her claws hitting the floor] Well.. I got em to bed.. Let’s just hope he stays there.. Let’s see if I can get this place cleaned up. Ya mind helpin, Wally?
BARNABY
BARNABY: Ah, then I told Pillar he needed to apologize to poor Dear! But he just went on and on about how he was the one that deserved an apology!
HOME: [Sounds of banging can be heard, sort of like agreeing]
BARNABY: I know! I told him that I couldn’t stay with him- i-in the room, I mean, unless he went and said he was sorry!
HOME: [Shutters creak]
BARNABY: Augh, I know, it’s such a heavy ask.. With how much they’re at each others throats! I don’t even understand what could’ve possibly caused such hatred!
HOME: [Lets out an inquisitive door squeak]
BARNABY: I agree. I think I need to sit down with them both and see what on Earth happened- eh
HOME: [Opens and closes its door judgmentally, cutting Barnaby off]
BARNABY: Wha- What do you mean it’s a bad idea?! I’ll keep them off each other, and-and I’ll make sure Dear leaves his pocket blade outside the library. And-
HOME: [Windows open and shut, a bit like laughter]
BARNABY: Wha!? Oh c’mon! Eddie can survive without his knife for one day! And PIllar won’t be allowed to bring that darned shotgun into the library either! He never has been! I’ve never allowed weapons or-or anything of the sort into the library! In fact, he knows all about it! Don’t you?
…Hello? Little one? Pal?
…Hey, y-you stopped painting..
…Everything alright, Darling?

DROP POP CANDY ! 🍬 🍭 🍫
Tumblr media
This is a redraw of a Patton drawing back in January 2019
Instagram
(Please click for better quality!)
[ID: a heavily edited drawing of Patton Sanders from Sanders Sides. He is sitting down with his knees to his chest, one hand out behind him and another making a heart with his forefinger and thumb. He is smiling and winking at the viewer. He is wearing dark blue overalls that are cuffed at his thighs. His overalls have multiple patches and painted symbols on them, such as a frog, a rainbow, stars, and his heart logo. Underneath the overalls is a light blue crop top with a white collar. He is wearing one blue knee-high and one pink knee-high with cat faces on them, along with a scrunched up white knee-high with a yellow bow, and blue, pink, and white furry leg warmers. He's also wearing light purple platform boots with yellow wings and a blue, pink, and white furry tail. His hair is done up into two pigtails, with bangs and two side pieces. His hair is dyed light blue at the tips and is covered in colourful barrettes. He is also wearing one blue and one pink arm warmer, yellow rings, multiple necklaces with charms, and a multitude of bracelets. He is wearing dark pink glasses, a yellow bandaid on his nose, and a lot of stickers and light blue piercings. He also has a lot of pins on his overalls such as the 7 striped pride flag, he/him and pup/pups pronoun pins, Togepi from pokemon, and more. The background is a light blue checkered pattern with dark blue polka dots, dark pink stars, and white bubbles outlined in pink around his head. There is a blue speech bubble next to him that shows a lighter blue exclamation mark and pink, bubbly text behind him that reads "Patton" in all caps. The entire drawing has a grainy filter over it. /end ID]
Below cut are close-ups and the original drawing

[ID: The first four images are the same drawing from above, but zoomed in on separate parts of the drawing to show detail. The last image is another drawing of Patton. It is cropped shoulders up and he is in his usual outfit, with circle-frammed glasses and light blue heart shaped earings. He is smiling and winking at the viewer. He has poofy, wavy/curly(?) hair, freckles, and blue and yellow makeup around his eyes. There is a light blue circle behind him and in the corner it reads '2019' in orange writing. /end ID]

Find the Word~
I’m loving how this is the only way I ever post my own writing here, otherwise I’d overthink it too much so thank you for the opportunity again, @words-after-midnight !!!
Soft tagging: @calicojackofficial @lettersandinkstains @retrogayyde @mjjune @magic-is-something-we-create
My words: accept, apologize/apology, smell, touch, prize
Your words: dear, yellow, burn, rust, rain
As always, behold more Metanoia chaos:
accept
They passed through the small market spilling on the sidewalk, Mal swiping a couple of grapes off their bunch that his sister accepted despite a weak glare. Instead of continuing straight at the crossing leading into the heart of town, Lu turned right and stopped at Dawn’s Pastries, a compact little shack, 3/4s plywood with a short, stretching window and a dirty vending machine outside. She ordered two apple strudels, pulled Mal to the side, and unceremoniously shoved the bag in his face.
apologize/apology apologetic
Having those spots on his skin be acknowledged disarmed him, and his heart sank. That was it. Fun over. Time to leave the clearly troubled creep back there in the shadows and go back to the normal world outside.
But there was no disgust, just kisses against the grooves, tender, apologetic, almost angry. One hand was released and the pecks moved further up on the other, to Mal’s palm, one, two, three, then to the base of his thumb and up to the tip. Mal took the opportunity to trace the stranger’s features, committing to memory the creamy softness of his cheeks, the roundness of his nose, the perfect irregularity of scattered moles and healing pimples.
smell
Disappointingly, he grew bored pretty quickly after refusing to drink and turning down every stranger trying to make a move. He could pinpoint at least one thing wrong with each of them, starting with the basic fact of some being the wholly wrong gender to excite him in any way and going as minute as a voice inflection he didn’t particularly like. Even the ones he approached and thought looked cute eventually fell through – they smelled wrong, they walked wrong, they laughed wrong.
touch
There was an eerie familiarity to it all – the rings, the stranger’s voice and banter, the way his hand felt in Mal’s – it felt true. It felt known. And it was intoxicating.
More. Tell me more. Touch me more.
“Anything on the other hand?”
“No,” the stranger lied. He slid the hand in question behind his back, but Mal had already caught a glimpse of another dark band on his ring finger.
“Liar. I can see now,” Mal confessed, eyes still on their joined hands. “Do you want me to close my eyes?”
“Yes.”
“Make me.”
prize (this one’s contextual cause I like bending the rules lol)
Michael always ceded his usual corduroy or checkered button-ups and jeans for the more casual sweatpants and band tees whenever he was home, allowing Kai to see him the way no one else ever did: relaxed. The t-shirt he was wearing now was Michael’s favorite, a black cotton that was a little on the smaller side he’d won in a sticker collecting competition of his favorite anime.
It was also Kai’s favorite, generally because whenever he slept over, Michael lent it to him, but specifically in that moment because it was riding up whenever Michael stretched to wipe up and down the windshield. It exposed nothing more than a tiny strip of milky skin and the dimples in his lower back, but Kai’s throat suddenly tightened.
He was parched.

4 tips for wearing leggings well this season
Tumblr media
If leggings have now become a basic to have in your wardrobe, not all women know how to show off with them. The reason is simple: its tight effect does not forgive any fashion missteps. Still, leggings are probably one of the easiest pieces of clothing to match if you know how to go about it. How to wear the leggings? The answer below!
Make the right choice of shoes
Tumblr media
The leggings often rhyme with comfort, we then forget the shoes with heels which will be much too sophisticated if we are not in the mood to walk with them. Fashion to evolve, no one will blame you for stepping outside with a casual look.
Which shoes to wear with leggings? Opt instead for metallic or leopard print sneakers or slippers that will add a trendy touch to a relatively simple and understated look.
Yes, leggings can be chic!
Don't be afraid to think outside the box and treat yourself to original leggings. Sheer, printed, vinyl, checkered… Today, leggings are full-fledged pants and not taking advantage of the multitude of possibilities available to you would be a real shame. Not a fan of couture leggings? Then combine your black cotton boxer shorts with shoes that stand out!
Tumblr media
Leather, velvet… Choosing the right legging material
Picking out a great outfit with black leggings has never been easier. But if we corsait the test a little? Today, leggings are available in different materials and are becoming more and more chic, this is the case of leather leggings for example. The goal ? Being able to wear leggings like pants and no longer sportswear. Combined with a wide denim shirt and studded black leather ankle boots, it will give you a look that could not be more rock'n'roll. In autumn or winter, a long boyish coat will be perfect to keep you warm!
Tumblr media
Combine leggings with wide tops
Be careful, cotton leggings are not quite pants! To be comfortable all day, it is better to wear it with fairly loose tops so that they fall below the buttocks and are not too revealing. Light boyfriend shirt in autumn, wide sweater in winter and loose t-shirt in summer, leggings have the advantage of adapting to all seasons!
Tumblr media
What length of leggings to choose?
Another point not to be overlooked when choosing your leggings: the length. Indeed, chosen too short, it can quickly become sports pants. It will also tend to cut the leg, not great when you are small! If the cycling shorts are very fashionable this season, on the legging side we are satisfied with a rather long model which goes down to the ankles

The Masked Singer: S11 E6 (Group A Returns/Transformers Night)
Another Wednesday, another episode of The Masked Singer! Tonight Group A returns to the competition and if I remember correctly, we get a new Wildcard entering the competition. There is a double elimination this week. As always, I post before seeing any unmaskings, so don’t take my guesses as spoilers.
I’m watching on a delay, but have done everything I can to avoid spoilers.
Starfish ️: We see record sleeves with Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, and Green Day. We also see a fishbowl with a “Teachers Lounge 🍎” sticker on it. The word “LIVE” in neon lights, which could possibly mean she was on Saturday Night Live. I’m kinda leaning towards Molly Shannon, but let’s find out what the bonus clue is. The bonus clue: Starfish has earned awards as part of a talented group. It’s either someone from SNL or an ensemble sitcom. I’m sticking with Molly Shannon for now.
Ugly Sweater 🧶: His wife is on the cover of a magazine called “Crochet Couture”. A silver jet plane, he apparently topped the charts and she had no clue who he was. Opposites attract, eh? The bonus clue: He spends his time wisely and got a lifetime achievement award. I have no clue who this is, but I think the judges’ best guess is Charlie Wilson from the Gap Band.
Lovebird 🦜: Says he hid in plain sight and the world got to know him as somebody he wasn’t. Seen waving a checkered flag, indicating he won something. A golden birdcage containing a golden container of popcorn. (That could indicate he won an MTV TV & Movie Award.) He says he’s helped people “from courthouses to White House’s”, so perhaps he’s an activist? Possibly a well-known LGBTQ rights activist? I’ve seen some people suggest this is Colton Underwood from The Bachelor (who came out as gay a few years after his season aired), but I don’t know if that lines up with the popcorn. I also considered Lance Bass, but the vocals don’t quite line up with Lovebird’s. The bonus clue: Has made television history before. I’ll go with Jenny’s guess of either Nick Viall or Colton Underwood, but I don’t know if the clues line up either way.
Goldfish 🐠: A snow globe with a Christmas tree. A vampire bat. And it sounded like she said “mum” instead of “mom”, which I think could indicate she’s from Canada (as it’s common in some parts of Canada for people to refer to their mother as “mum”). A police siren. Says she’s seen her exes everywhere and her romance turned into TikToks. The bonus clue: Put her heart, soul, and tears into her work. I’m still leaning towards Carly Rae Jepsen, but Rita’s guess of Nina Dobrev could also work, as Nina is Canadian (she was on Degrassi before becoming famous in the United States for The Vampire Diaries).
Koala 🐨: A sticker with the abbreviation “CO” (the postal abbreviation for Colorado). A championship belt with the Sun on it. A cattle skull with a tiny hat, a white rose with a captain’s hat. On the first listen, my gut says it might be Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino), but let’s see what the bonus clue says. The bonus clue: He’s on a shortlist with some of the greatest of all time. Could be an athlete, possibly Von Miller (who played for the Denver Broncos). But he played relatively recently. I’d say the best guess from the judges, though, actually came from Ken: Deion Sanders. (Although I don’t think there was any mention of his time playing baseball with the Atlanta Braves.) But I think I’ll stick with Deion Sanders for now.

How to Apply Self-Adhesive Paper to Kitchen Countertops for a Quick, Affordable Update
When you walk into a kitchen, countertops are one of the first features to catch your eye. They influence the entire look of the space, adding a modern flair or natural texture. However, updating or replacing countertops can be a consuming and costly task. Enter, self-adhesive paper.
This affordable material is sold in rolls and features one decorative side and one highly adhesive side (much like an oversize sticker.) And if you're renting or trying to renovate on a budget, self-adhesive paper makes an ideal option.
Anika Gandhi, founder of the blog Anika's DIY Life, has taken on the project multiple times and says it cost her less than $50 to do her entire kitchen. (She purchased about three to four rolls.) Compared to installing leaf wallpaper , which can range anywhere from around $50 to $150 per square foot for installation alone (not including the cost of materials), self-adhesive paper is decidedly cost-effective. Plus, it takes much less time to apply. leaf wallpaper peel and stick says it took her about an afternoon from start to finish; working around the sink was the most tedious part.
Ready to flip removable wallpaper ? Here's everything you need to know about changing up your countertops with self-adhesive paper, including styles to consider, upkeep must-knows, and the low-down on durability.
How to Choose the Right Self-Adhesive Paper Style You can find nearly any style of countertop material in self-adhesive paper form, including natural stone patterns, like marble, as well as wood looks. If you're going for a contemporary kitchen, try out one of the latest interior trends, such as neutral colors, biophilic designs, or vintage patterns. Or keep it classic with a pattern that resembles quartz or cork.
Terrazzo, reminiscent of a Parisian café, is a great option for adding color and detail. It's also a favorite on Etsy. "It picked up maybe two or three years ago," says Samantha Santana, owner of shopSAMANTHASANTANA where she sells wallpaper and self-adhesive paper. "Checker prints have also been bubbling for a while, and I feel like they finally exploded in 2022."
To make your countertop a focal point, try Moroccan or geometric patterns for visual interest. Using abstract leaf wallpaper allows you to apply it less precisely, as you don't have to match up the sections of the paper exactly.
Another plus of using self-adhesive paper on your countertop is that you can easily keep up with trends in your kitchen since it's removable and affordable. In addition to Etsy, you can find the paper at any major retailer, including Target, Walmart, The Home Depot, and Amazon.
What to Know Before Applying Self-Adhesive Paper You'll want to start by measuring the sections of countertop where the paper fits without extra cutting. Don't worry if there are any small areas that won't be covered or if the paper doesn't line up perfectly everywhere—you can always cut a strip down to whatever measurement you need and use decor to cover any imperfections.
For unforeseen slip-ups or dilemmas, it's a good idea to buy an extra roll or two. "Just in tree wallpaper mess up something or miscalculate, especially with the cutouts," Anika advises. "You have to take into account the fact that you might need to cut some extra strips and things like that. So you definitely want to have at least one roll more than what you think you need."
Samantha says she always tells customers to be cautious when cutting as the material is slippery. As a general rule, take it slow. Also, note that paper can appear darker if you have a darker countertop. Keep this in mind as you choose the color and style.
How to Apply Self-Adhesive Paper to Your Countertops One of the best parts about working with self-adhesive paper is that it doesn't require many materials, and you probably already have most of them.
What You Need Measuring tape or ruler Rubbing alcohol (optional) Utility knife (like an X-Acto knife) Scissors Carpenter square, credit card, or silicone spatula Soap and sponge or cleaning wipes Step 1: Measure your countertops so you know how much self-adhesive paper to purchase. Make sure to check the dimensions of the roll you're buying.
Step 2: Clean your countertops with soap and water or cleaning wipes. Dry them with a paper towel or cloth. This is the most important step, Anika says. If there's a speck of dirt or dust, it could show under the paper, and any oils from kitchen ingredients or your skin could cause it to not stick as well. After cleaning, consider wiping the counter down with isopropyl or rubbing alcohol.
Step 3: Unroll the paper on your counter. Line tropical leaf wallpaper up so that they lay seamlessly, the pattern matches up (if applicable), and you can't see any of your real counters peeking through. Ignore any smaller sections that the paper doesn't cover for now.
Step 4: Peel and stick. Samantha and Anika suggest only peeling off an inch or so from a corner as a starting point. As you work, use one hand to peel and the other to get out the air bubbles. Use a credit card, carpenters square, or silicone spatula (a tip from one of Samantha's customers) to remove air bubbles, scraping from top to bottom. If you encounter any stubborn bubbles, use your knife or a pin to poke a tiny hole and move the air toward it so it can escape.
Step 5: Cut the paper and fold it under the edge of your counter. Because you won't see it, you don't have to worry about cutting in a straight line. Remember to take your time.
leaf wallpaper for walls : When going around curves, such as your kitchen sink, apply the paper over the edges and roughly cut with scissors. Trim the excess with your knife along the edge to get a seamless line.
Step 7: With any leftover sections, measure and use a ruler to cut your paper in a straight line. If you can, measure and line up the rolls so that these sections are in a concealed area, like a back corner that won't be as noticeable, or an area easily hidden with decor like cookbooks or pantry staples.
Cleaning Tips and Maintenance Self-adhesive paper is generally water-resistant, and it does well with regular wear and tear. Clean it with soap and water, avoiding any harsh chemicals or bleach. If large leaf wallpaper see any fraying or edges coming up, Samantha advises using a spray adhesive to keep it in place. However, most self-adhesive paper isn't heat-resistant, so avoid placing any hot pots or pans on the surface.
Anika used self-adhesive paper for one of her bathroom countertops, and when she removed it a year and a half later, it was still clean underneath. And it was a kid's bathroom, so "it got lots of splashing and residue and all that stuff on it."
"If you're really concerned, you can use clear silicone caulking around the sink," she says. "But it holds up really, really well."

2022-05-05 “Day off?” Hayakawa Seira blog [ENG]
Everyone, Hello!
I’m 21 year old Hayakawa Seira from Osaka. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance ☺︎
How did you spend your long vacation??
The other day, the quietness of the morning compared with the busyness of the afternoon made me really feel the holiday for the first time. Everyone did you enjoy your holiday as much as possible??
There are definitely people who are not on holiday today aren’t there. Thank you for your continued hard work.
The weather is nice, the laundry has dried and it felt so good to wake up this morning I’m so glad. ☺︎
Recently, everyday we’re heading closer and closer towards the 10th YEAR BIRTHDAY LIVE which is next weekend.
I’ve been unable to participate in rehearsals and it’s been very difficult, but I want people to enjoy that wonderful time during the concert and I didn’t think that I would be able to be a part of the concert at Nissan Stadium but I’m so thankful and I’ll work hard every day until then.
During the practices, the 5th generation members have so much to learn and I can see them struggling at times, it reminds me of when I first started.
I need to continue to do my best while never forgetting about when I first started.
I went to meet some of the new 5th generation members on break during the online meet and greet. Everyone called out to me and was like ‘Serra-san’
They’re so friendly and cute ☺︎
I want to become closer to them.
This my first time taking pictures with my junior members.
I took it in a dark place so the image quality is a little bad, I’m sorry. It’s Ioki-chan. She’s cute ☺︎And like me when I first started she often does a side ponytail.
I took pictures with the other members but I regret not taking them with my phone. T T
They’ve also had many rehearsals for Nogizaka Star Tanjou and I thought it would be very difficult for them and so I thought I would try helping them out but I couldn’t really figure out how I should help them and so I thought maybe I should just watch of them for now. Being a senior member is difficult…
Thank you to everyone that came to the online meet and greet.
This time I wore a lot of Spring patterned clothes.
1st time slot: Flower pattern shirt
2nd time slot: Leopard print shirt with glasses
3rd time slot: black and white checkered shirt, yellow hair band
4th time slot: Brown checkered shirt with a brown velours hair band
5th time slot: light blue big collar shirt, pony tail
Is what I wore
There’s also another meet and greet this weekend, I’m still thinking about what I should wear. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone. Please look after me
On top of that, my Nogizaka jobs are coinciding with my musical practice.
Two days ago, we started real practice with blocking, I was overwhelmed by the acting and vocal abilities of the other cast member. They’re also amazing!
I’m so glad to be a part of this amazing work.
But, there’s still a lot that I have to learn, so I need to make sure to stay strong and not falter to my own weaknesses. By speaking with the other cast members my nerves and anxiety have slowly started to disappear. It’s thanks to how kind everyone is.
I’m kind of vexed and irritated that I can’t put all of my concentration and focus in on practice due to the current circumstances, it’s something that the other senior members have overcome before, so I need to do the best that I can.
If you like, please continue to support me ☺︎
I put a really easy to understand sticker on the cover of my sheet music. It’s good isn’t it.
I’m going to do my best.

cherry knot | reader x ryujin
🍒 Pairing: self insert, female reader x shin ryujin
🍒 Genre: fluff n’ a lil bit suggestive
🍒 Tags: friends to lovers, high school au (everyone depicted is 18+), all girls school au, high school crush!ryujin, shy!reader, confession of feelings, that good, good makin’ out, ryujin being flirty and smug as hell bc i love her, yeah this is just me gushing about shin ryujin, ro trying new things on the blog :)
🍒 Word count: 2.9k
🍒 CWs: mentions of food and eating reader included
The grass felt sticky and uncomfortable under your crossed legs, and when you swiped your hand against the skin, you could feel the indentation from the blades. Your knee-high socks felt itchy too; everything felt itchy. Even the cotton of your shirt felt like it was suffocating, and the bow tied around your neck which hung loosely should have hung even looser.
To distract yourself, you plucked up the blades of green and tied them into knots absentmindedly. It was easier to pay attention to your idle hands compared to paying attention to her.
Could she even tell that you were looking? Could she see out of the corner of her eye when she threw her cotton-candy pink hair behind her ear? Could she tell that you watched as she gulped down the lemonade and caught a glance at the peachy fuzz of her neck exposed by her collar?
Stop looking. Stop looking.
Your other friends tied up their hair in clips and with lazy hair ties to free their sweating necks from the sun. No matter the sweltering heat, it was always tradition for your picnic just before the summer vacation. One of them had brought a cake and each of the girls attacked it viciously with small forks and smeared bits of frosting on each other’s noses.
“Come here!! You’re next!!” They beamed while launching themselves in your direction to dot your nose with the white cream.
A flurry of high pitched giggles peeled out from each of you once another frosting victim had been dubbed. Your cheeks felt furiously hot knowing that she was looking; and that she was laughing along with the rest of them.
“Awwww cute.” She adored with a smile that turned her dimples into whiskers on her cheeks.
You quickly wiped it off with a handkerchief that settled into your damp hand.
She’s looking, she’s looking…
The other girls pranced around the checkered picnic blanket in their white socks--undoubtedly painting them with green that their mothers would scold them for later. Their careless steps made a mess of the food wrappers and canvas backpacks that held down the corners of the thin fabric. The joyous cheers of the girls seemed to harmonize with the song of the cicadas in the trees; both sounds reminded you of the coming of the summer and the humid weather that makes the air dense.
One of the girls brought out her phone and played loudly from it one of her favorite songs which she knew every word too, regardless of the fact that her tone was far from the singer’s.
You and your friends never cared much for how others would view you. Even at school when you would march through the hallways arm-and-arm, others would stare at the way that none of you batted an eye at those who would glare.
They were just jealous was all.
“Be careful!!” You found yourself scolding, “What if you fall running around like that?”
In response, your friends promptly stuck out their tongues in your general direction.
“Don’t worry about it,” Ryujin coolly popped another cherry into her mouth from the bowl by her crossed legs. “If they fall, let them! It's funnier that way.”
She threw a wink right at you, which you almost didn’t catch because you had quickly averted your eyes to become much more interested in the tiny tea-cakes.
“You’re always worrying Y/n! Its summer!”
“I-I do not.”
Ryujin chuckled in that way that always made you feel like your heart was just about ready to leap out of your chest.
“Lighten up! Come on!”
Before you could process it all, your friend patted down the wrinkles in her skirt and threw off her shoes. She rose, and neared your corner of the blanket with hands outstretched.
“Stop worrying about things or if people are watching!” She scolded you with a cute and tiny pout, “Get up!” Ryujin wriggled her hands with emphasis to show you that you could take hold of them.
“W-what…?”
The other girls giggled on, hardly even noticing the two of you over their singing.
You grabbed onto her hands, already loathing how damp your own felt against hers out of your own nervousness. She still held onto you tightly, saying nothing of them and helped you to your feet. Immediately she brightened once you played along and started to swing your arms in tune with the song. Your friend lip synced to the rap part and you felt just about ready to swoon from how cool she looked saying the words with ease.
“Dance with me!! Don’t pay attention to people walking by or anything like that!”
Ryunjin led you by the hand to the patch of grass with little white and pink flowers laced into it. You really did try to pay attention to dancing, but everything else seemed to be distracting even when you tried hard enough. She brought your hand up higher to spin her, and when she twisted, everything seemed to happen in slow motion: the billow of her plaid shirt, her rosy-pink hair which swiped just at her shoulders, even the way that the sunset melted behind her into swirls of sunburst yellow and vibrant orange. It was like she was all a part of it.
“Your turn!” She said, twisting you too.
You didn’t realize that you would have been as dizzied by it as you were, but when you lost your footing, she was just as quick to help you with her hands carefully grasped onto your shoulders.
“You okay?” Ryujin asked, out of breath, but still genuine.
“I’m fine!”
Your knees wobbled with barely any strength to them, but you mustered every bit of confidence that you had to keep being this close to her. You surprised yourself when you reached back for her hands to continue swinging them between you.
The other girls collapsed back onto the blanket in a pile of shallow exhales and airy laughs that they exchanged between them.
“No more dancing, I-I can’t do any more…” One of them announced while leaning against the shoulder of another one of your friends.
“I forgot! I brought this!!” One of your friends with pigtail braids dove deeply into her backpack and pulled out nearly all of the contents before finding the small cube-case which was decorated with an obscene amount of keychains. “My camera! We have to take some pictures so that we can remember this!”
The other girls squealed in agreement and ganged up on her to fit into the frame of the white Polaroid camera that she had also splattered with stickers.
“Here, I wanna show you something.” Ryujin drew your attention back to the blanket where she settled back down with her own bag draped over her legs.
“What is it?”
“Ryujinnie! I wanna take your picture too! Your pink hair is so pretty…” One of your friends cooed with a sad downturn to her lips, “I hope that you never change it.”
“Hmm, I don’t know. We’ll see. My cousin has been saying that she wants to see what I would look like blonde these days.”
The small talk didn’t concern you too much, you were more concerned with what it was that your friend had to show you.
“I’m going on a trip with my cousins soon so we’ll see what happens.”
Your friend sighed, and skipped over the mess of the blanket to pull Ryujin by the wrist to the walkway a little farther off. “You’d look so cute over here!”
She pardoned her, and stumbled after the eager girl to let her take a Polaroid of her. Even from far away, you could still hear the two of them admire the picture with happy little expressions of “ah! I told you that it would look good!”
The two girls returned, and you began to worry if your friend even remembered what she had said in the first place.
What is it? What does she want to show me?
“Shoot!!” Another one of your friends huffed out while looking at her phone, “I forgot that I have to tutor the middle schoolers today!! I’m late!!”
The girls went to action in a mere matter of seconds sweeping up the picnic assortment and shoving the leftovers into their backpacks.
You helped them and tried to look over to your other friend who didn’t return your glances. Perhaps she really had forgotten.
You let your imagination run wild for just a few moments, although the more that you did, the more it all just seemed preposterous. Maybe it was a confession letter, maybe she had written for you one of those poems like she had liked to do, maybe she had rather wanted to talk to you about something...say something that you wanted to say back…
“I’m going to stick around.” Ryunjin said suddenly with her hands on her hips. “Y/n, you’re welcome to stay too if you want. We don’t exactly have to go home yet since the sun’s still up.”
Your friends looked to you for your answer, to which you stammered out an, “O-okay…” The best that you could.
“See you later!!” They called after with their shoes only half-slid onto their feet.
You waved them off, but the farther that they walked away, the more the realization started to hit you that you were alone with her. The sound of your heartbeat echoed in your ears, and you calmed it trying to think about anything else but the fact that now her attention was truly undivided upon you.
“You said that you wanted to show me something?”
Your friend nodded, and patted the grass beside her for you to join her. She gathered up the small bundle of cherries left behind and positioned them into her lap.
“I learned this trick a little bit ago and I wanted to show you!”
“A trick?”
She nodded, and plucked from one of the crimson berries a stem which she put directly into her mouth.
“What are you doing?!” On the surface, it didn’t seem like the most sanitary thing to do.
Ryunjin stifled a laugh and lightly hit you on the arm to chastise you. “Just wait a minute!”
You watched in your confusion as her face contorted a little, and her eyebrows twisted like she was thinking. Her cheeks puffed a little too, and you could tell that she was doing something with it in her mouth--it was only then when you realized that you had been intensely observing her mouth.
In your embarrassment you threw your eyes in the other direction, but it was no use one you heard her start to giggle at how flustered you had become.
“It’s okay, you’re supposed to look.” She assured you.
“What-what is it?”
“Annnnd done!” Your friend proclaimed proudly and you struggled to meet her again without feeling like your whole face and the tips of your ears were burning up.
Right on the pink of her tongue she had tied the stem into a tiny knot which she displayed proudly.
“You...did that with your tongue?”
“Mm-hm!”
Your hands reduced back to their clammy state, and they found the grass between your own folded legs to find something to do.
“That's...that’s pretty cool…”
“I know right?!”
Back came your friend's little dimples, and this time your chest started to feel like it was swelling with heat.
Stop looking, stop looking…
“I can teach you how to do it some day if you’d like.” Ryujin’s tone dropped lower, and more serious in the way that some had thought to be intimidating. To you, there was nothing more that could make you feel the beat of your own heart more obviously.
“Teach me? How??”
The question felt like a butterfly in your lips, fluttering and ticklish, light and uncertain. You met her eyes the best you could; even though you knew that there was nothing about her that you didn’t already know, or that was threatening.
Your friend tilted her head, inspecting you and the way that you could barely keep your glance away from her lips--stained just a little red from the cherries--then smiled.
“W-what? What is it? Why are you smiling?”
She sighed, and craned forward on one of her hands in the grass, bridging the distance between the two of you to caress down the side of your face, all the way to your jaw with the back of her fingers.
“You’re just too cute.”
“Hm?” Your chest threw itself up and down, and you could thinly feel the breath that tried to fill your lungs when she was this close.
“I just can’t handle it any more.”
“Me?”
Ryunjin nodded, softening her eyes until they were nearly closed, and rid the two of you of all space, leaning over just so you could feel the weight of her chest nearly pressing into yours. At first, she placed the lightest of kisses into you, so light that it barely brushed against your lips, but merely imprinted upon them. She leaned back, leaving you with the ghost of a feeling of her upon you. It felt a bit unfair how fleeting it was, and how she looked at you like that: smug as ever, but as blissful as she always was.
Your breaths tried to make sense of it all, if it had just happened, and what to think of it. As quick as it was, all you could want was to feel it again.
“Ryu--”
She cradled both sides of your face in hers, leaning in with more fervor and parting your lips with hers, leaving you to squeak from the sudden movement. You couldn’t figure out how to kiss back at first, or if you should hold her too. Your head felt like it was spinning in circles from your disbelief when you could taste the tiny tang of the sweet and sour cherries which lingered on her lips. She rubbed her thumbs into your cheeks, and angled you better to let her growing smile paint your own mouth from corner to corner.
At last, you were able to find a rhythm which suited you, and you kissed her right back. She giggled at your stroke of confidence and the vibrations made your whole body tingle. Your feet had surely fallen asleep where you had folded them beside you, but the numb feeling of them dissolved once her hands fell to your shoulder where she held to you tightly. The pressure from the tips of her fingers made you shiver, and you too smoothed down the pink shine of her hair.
The warm and ticklish feeling of her tongue grazed your lower lip where she changed her approach and deepened her kiss. The heat of tongues finally met in the middle testing and learning more of the other the closer that you became, and tiny airy gasps got stuck between both of your curiosity. In your lap, her hands found yours and they laced together and held tight; each digit wrapping the other and becoming one with the eagerness of her thumb rubbing little circles into the squishy parts of your hand.
After the heat of your passion started to melt, you found yourself hiding your giddy laughter the best you could once she started to peck at your lips over and over until you felt like she had kissed you so close to the brim that you would overflow.
“I said that you’re cute and I mean it!” She snuck the phrase in between a couple more kisses, eliciting you to fold up in your giddy embarrassment from the compliment.
Ryunjin pulled away, and popped another cherry into her mouth from the bundle, then threw her arms around your shoulders. You simply let your hands rest in her lap covered by the plaid of her skirt; shaking from the release of the endorphins and the adrenaline.
“Ryujin...I wanted to tell you that I’ve had a crush on you for a...really long time…” You shied, but she brought your chin back to look at her directly.
“Good. Me too.”
You couldn’t even process the combination of her words for them to make sense. White noise filled your ears, even though it should have been obvious from the way that she had kissed you like that.
“Oh! Here. I wanted to give this to you too. Something to remember me by.”
She reached for her bag, and pulled out a white-out pen from the front pocket. The Polaroid had faded into its full color, and she focused with her tongue peeking from her mouth as she wrote the message:
see you soon <3
- ryujinnie
Over her head in the picture, she doodled a few hearts, then she blew on the ink to dry it.
“For you!”
You took the picture with your hands still thoroughly shaking, and all you could utter was a “thanks” while you took in your friend looking as gorgeous as she always was. You knew then that you would treasure the image forever, and the day which it was taken.
“Who knows,” Ryujin started, and let her head fall to your shoulder where she nuzzled in, “This might be the last that you’ll see of my pink hair too.”
You turned the picture over, already sensing how it made your heart feel like it was aching sticky and sweet, just like the cherries.

"I did that"
Democrats seem to have figured out just how potent the grassroots “I did that” Biden stickers are that people are leaving on gas pumps all over America. Those little stickers are the public’s way of fighting back against political and media narratives blaming everything but Biden for the high prices of gas. So now, the Dems are trying to fight back against those stickers and co-opt the idea for their own.
In Illinois, Democrats tucked a provision into a budget bill passed at 3 a.m. on Saturday to force gas stations to put stickers on their pumps to inform the public that the planned 2.2-cent gas tax increase that was set to begin on July 1st has been scrapped. I guess drivers are supposed to feel immense gratitude that they’re not going to add another 2.2 cents to the price of gas that’s already double what it was two years ago. Any station that doesn’t comply can be fined up to $500 a day, which I’m sure won’t raise the price of gas at all.
https://www.westernjournal.com/il-dems-pass-law-private-businesses-advertise-pay-500-day-fines/
Meanwhile, in Pennsylvania, a man who was putting “I did that” stickers on gas pumps was arrested on several charges. I wouldn’t recommend that anyone commit vandalism, although if the Dems claim graffiti is “street art” and looting is “peaceful protest,” then those Biden stickers could certainly be called free speech. I would recommend, though, that if you are going to do it, don’t do it the way this guy did. Sounds like he’s taking it to extremes.

Biden announces new anti-gun rules
In the wake of the recent mass shooting in Sacramento, President Biden announced new anti-gun rules, including a rule making it illegal to manufacture so-called “ghost guns,” or guns without serial numbers. There are a lot more details at this link:
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-announces-rule-ghost-guns-illegal-crime-strategy
The problem, as pointed out by several Republican legislators and various gun rights groups, is that private gunsmithing is an American tradition dating back over 200 years, and this rule is unconstitutional. It violates the Second Amendment and Biden does not have the power to create new gun laws via executive order.
In defense of it, Biden pulled out one of his many repeatedly debunked claims, this time the one about how Americans weren’t allowed to own cannons when the Second Amendment was written. Even the Washington Post found that to be so incorrect that their fact checker gave him “Four Pinocchios” for it.
https://www.westernjournal.com/four-pinocchios-biden-says-couldnt-cannon-2nd-amendment-written-lie/
Critics also pointed out that all this focus on the guns was just a McGuffin to distract attention away from the real cause of skyrocketing violent crime: leftist politicians and DA’s defunding the police, emptying the jails, refusing to enforce the laws, and releasing repeat offenders over and over without bail. This is why we stopped hearing much about that Sacramento mass shooting after word came that it actually appeared to be gang violence and at least one of the suspects was a repeat offender who was released early from jail, despite the DA pleading with the parole board not to let him out.
Once again, it appears that Democrats are trying to fix a crime problem their policies created by focusing on the guns instead of the criminals, and creating new laws when the ones already on the books aren’t being enforced and they don’t even know anything about the guns they’re banning. The Babylon Bee did its usual expert job of skewering that reaction with its satirical article about how AOC would deal with “ghost guns.”

HOW I MADE ICONS LIKE THESE PT. 1
I go reeeaally in depth in this one but it's very well described!!
you can find the icons here! part 2 is here!
requested by @g0thyongs
Tumblr media
hi! this is the first part of how i usually edit my icons :) im doing this in multiple parts because you can only attach ten images to a post so i can't fit them all in one 😓
this part is about the lia and chaeryeong icons, they're edited similarly!
I used picsart for the entire thing, it's best to start out with a transparant image (you can find it by scrolling down all the way and clicking the checkered-grey block), this isn't necessary.. it just makes it easier.
STEP 1. PICK N CUT
Tumblr media
Pick out the pictures you want to use and add them, it's best to pick a picture of a headshot with a clear outline of the person you're editing. do what you want though im not your mom
you then either erase the background of the pic of the person you're editing or erase the background around the person you're editing. If it looks weird, you can try lowering the opacity of the top image just a little bit. It just looks a bit better that way.
Don't worry too much about it being perfect, it's not gonna be noticeable when you add the effects trust me.
STEP 2. STICKEERZZZZ
Tumblr media
Just add the stickers you like (and fit with the image of course, unless you're going for the messy look, then go wild). I already picked a pretty busy background so i didn't add too much. If you want cool stickers you can go to my account on picsart (@/4ngelspit) and go through my saved ones (they’re nicely sorted  ( •̀ ̫•́ ))
Here are also some good keywords : drain, draincore, softcore, angelcore, sanriocore, hello kitty, ...
STEP. 3 KIRA!
Tumblr media
Here you just add some sparkles, I usually use the same two, answered here. I also use the third more spiky sparkle to accentuate the eye highlight. When I’m feeling extra i’ll add some under the eyes becuz it looks cute  ₍ˆ‧  ̫‧ˆ₎
You can be very extra during this step, i was a bit minimal here but do what you like. again, im not your mom.
STEP. 4 FX N COLOURS
Tumblr media
This is my fav step because you can see everything come together. The left picture is still in picsart. Click on fx and start playing around.
Here are my most used effects : motion blur, pixelize, brightness, blur (i used to use smart blur but i’ve become more of a normal blur person), halftone dots (i use this EVERY TIME IDK WHY IT DOESN’T EVEN DO THAT MUCH)
The right image is after I changed the colours in the SNOW app (🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮 Im sorry i don’t have another app like dis okay???) You can see how it’s a little more vibrant and glowy, i think it looks better. I basically just lowered the saturation, made the image cooler, made the image brighter, raised the contrast and voila ~~

atla as amusement park workers
literally no one asked but i've been missing working at an amusement park so please find my atla thoughts (based on a cedar fair park structure) under the read more cause there is a lot
Yue and Suki work the funnel cake stand together and are such an in sync team that people always watch them in amazement because it's crazy how perfect they are at it and they never get in the way of each other despite the fact that the funnel cake stand is definitely not big enough for two people comfortably to be inside but despite the crazy heat and small space every time people walk by they having a genuinely good time laughing and talking to one another. They work the same schedule and everyone is pretty sure that they're dating. The food service supervisor doesn't separate them anymore because once they had someone else work with Suki and it messed up the whole flow so badly that no one was happy about it.
Azula and Mai work in merchandise. Azula is a merch lead and always manages to work inside actual stores where she gets to relax in the air conditioning and she always has a sixth sense for when people are stealing. If someone annoys her she'll rotate them out to an outdoor location for a week just to get them away from her. Mai always gets sent out to the sunglasses stand and she looks like she wants to kill everyone that approaches the stand. No one knows why she's outside when she's close friends with Azula but Mai asks to go to the stand because most people go into the store to buy things and she doesn't want to deal with them.
Ty Lee works games as one of those people who is always calling out to come and win a giant stuffed pokemon or whatever by winning a water gun race. Her voice is always ringing out into the park atmosphere and people always end up stopping and she seems like genuinely happy to give people prizes. (Mai's sunglasses stand is also right across the way from Ty Lee's game and although she acts annoyed with how bubbly she always is, secretly she likes working on days when Ty Lee is working more than days when she isn't and prefers Ty Lee's voice to the park music that is played.) Toph also works games because her parents own the park and she's convinced them to let her be the person who guesses like weight, age, or birthday. She has a coworker there to double check her answers (on the scale) and she's scarily good at getting the right answers. People think she might not be blind because of how fantastic she is at it.
Aang works park services (custodial) and is constantly moving all over the park so he gets to talk to everyone. He does water runs for those stuck at rides, games and merch when he has time. All the guests ask him for directions because he's so approachable. He's always humming along to the music in every part of the park and can navigate it with his eyes closed. Katara works at admissions at the gate and always welcomes people into the park. She always ends up with groups that do not know how to follow instructions but manages to somehow get them through the gates quicker than most people around her. In the afternoon when crowds start to lull a bit, she is often seen talking to Aang who somehow always manages to make his way up toward the gates around that time. Sokka and Zuko both work in ride operations and have a bit of a rivalry stemming from the first year they worked together. They were both on the same ride zone team and each was tapped at time to be assistant team lead but had very different ideas about what was fair rotation (Zuko believes rotation should be done every hour on the hour and that it needs to be done in a clockwise position to keep everything organized and running smoothly) (Sokka thinks rotations in 1.5 hour shifts are the way to go because it breaks up the day better to have less rotations and rotates based on what you were doing last to give more variety)
After the first year they were never on the same ride team again but were team leads on different ride zones. Each of their teams always loved them because they were great team leads who listened to everyone and made work enjoyable. When they got promoted to supervisor each felt a little smug that they'd be able to lord it over the other but they showed up to training and found out that both of them were made supervisors at the same time.
Since then they sort of compete against one another and it's definitely not because they think that the other is cute at all (or somehow manage to make weird polo and khaki combinations work?? No. No.) and is all because they will not let themselves be bested by the other and want to prove that they are the best supervisor. Except they're both assigned to different zones in the park so they just don't actually have teams that can judge them side by side but both of their zones swear that they have the better supervisor
Sokka is great at doing all the end of day paperwork before the end of the day comes but Zuko is always scrambling at the end of the day to put it all together before he leaves, but Zuko always arrives before Sokka and gets his start of the day paperwork out of the way before he even arrives.
Whenever there is a big rides group activities outside of work, both of them show up and if they are showing off a bit it's like, no one's business. It definitely isn't to impress each other. No.
June is the ride operations manager and she is well aware of the 'rivalry' between Zuko and Sokka and finds it amusing. She sets challenges between the zones (least guest complaints, best end of the day cleanup time, most passes for random safety checks) that only feed into the rivalry.
Haru is the third ride supervisor and is a float between the two zones. He is frankly tired of Zuko and Sokka each trying to outdo the other. He thinks that the two of them should just date already and he frequently tells his boyfriend, Jet, about all the things that they get into. Jet laughs every time and thinks it's amusing.
Jet has worked at the park for ages but switches departments every year so that he doesn't get bored. This year he's working at the old timey photo booth. It also means whenever there is a call out in any department he is most likely to get pulled because he's familiar with everything. Everyone has worked with Jet at one point or another (he and Katara worked admissions together, he was on the infamous Zuko and Sokka ride team and always told each one he preferred the other's style, he managed to wrangle himself into being Toph's verification checker the year prior and the year before that worked the kettle corn)
Jet and Azula have an intense dislike of one another because they worked together in merch for a season before Azula got any power and she hated the way that he stocked things and how he was able to do mental math after the cash closed and it always turned outright. They legit are the real rivals and Jet has sworn to never return to merch because of Azula. Azula also once sent Jet back when he was floated to her store last year.
Appa is the park mascot and they have merch of him everywhere. Aang wears a little pin of him on his lapel and always carries stickers with Appa on them to hand out to kids. Everyone loves Appa merch and you can get a picture with him (Pipsqueak is the one inside the costume and The Duke is the attendant with him)

Random yet specific headcanons
Alright, I’ve been working on a rancher fic and wanted to share a few of my favorite headcanons for these three.
Tumblr media
Jet Link
- Considering his time of abduction and how often he’s gone off to be a ranch hand/play cowboy there is a very high chance he’s a Spaghetti Western fan. His ideas and romanticism of the west based almost solely on what he’d seen on film, by extension his bravado and man’s man personality being heavily influenced from such films. Something that both mirrored his gang life on the streets while still being a mental escape. The lone cowboy out to right wrongs on his own terms something he’d see in himself.
- This of course would bleed into an odd fascination/respect for Geronimo Jr. as he’d likely be the only Indigenous person he’d ever met (that he was aware of at least). The personification of the “last of a dying breed” trope you see often in such films, something he likely project onto Jr. Especially considering that being from New York he’d known of Mohawk Steelworkers but wouldn’t have known any personally.
- Serial pawn shop shopper. He knows they don’t make knives or lighters like they use to and he’s got a small collection going.
- Apart from his established knife fighting skills, he’d whittle in his free time.
-Great at darts.
- He’d be a great houseguest, very considerate and takes direction as well as he can. Doesn’t want to be deadweight on the ranch, and have a stern ‘earn his keep’ sort of vibe.
-Despite having a high interest in learning the ropes he’d still struggle. His time on the ranch would positively impact his ‘square peg being forced into a round hole’ mentality.
- Plays a mean game of checkers.
- Maybe too embarrassed to say it, but really respects Jr.’s self sufficiency and wants to take after him in some ways. Is really touched when Geronimo teaches him something. At the same time can be especially hurt when there are traditional lessons Jr. won’t share.
-Sure he can play the guitar but he’s also been teaching himself the harmonica. He’s also good at playing both the spoons and a blade of grass but he’ll never admit to either.
-Can do that really cool two finger whistle thing.
- Long story but he knows from first hand experience that chickens float in water. Pyunma isn’t impressed and Jr. thinks it’s cute he likes chickens.
- You know at some point in time Jet would do rodeo shows and live out the whole cliche bonding with a horse who can’t be broken bologna while Geronimo worked the event as an MC.
Tumblr media
Geronimo Jr.
Which brings me to Jr.
- You know, and I mean KNOW he’s worked the Arizona circuit like no ones business. Despite the team thinking of him as stoic and saying little everyone in town knows him as their favorite MC. He’s done everything from powwows, estate sales, property auctions, all the way to rodeos.
-Those on the moccasin telegraph rumor he was a guest at G.O.N. in New Mexico one year.
- Would absolutely have an old 1988 red, sun bleached Toyota Tacoma that had seen better days but still runs. Of course the suspension is shot and leans heavily on the drivers side. The glove compartment is full of old tapes, and he’d have at least one mix tape with classic 49ers in there too.
- When he’s working as an auctioneer he goes Full Boomhauer
- Aunties love him. He’s always given an extra helping at food stalls and everyone is vying for him to say their fry bread is best, even though we all know his grandmothers was #1.
-Would be in the loop on all the local chisme.
-He can’t shop at normal stores for clothes, instead making annual custom orders through Wrangler and Dickies.
-He is why Wrangler revoked their lifetime guarantee. Too many blown out shoulder seams.
-He’s excellent at traditional methodologies and takes a lot of pride in keeping traditions alive. He’d be a great beader and leatherworker, his mitts being extremely sought after in the community with order requests coming in year round. Word is he’ll sometimes make a trade if you can do quillwork.
-Prior to the bootleg boom his family would have been respected artisans, collectors and locals alike still hold onto their older jewelry, and at a few estate sales he’d seen his dads old silver stamping tools still in circulation. Sometimes he get’s letters in the mail from a collector in another state asking to verify the family stamp.
-He’s got a lifetime ban from one diner in Albuquerque for smashing a jukebox that was playing The Ballad of Ira Hayes.
-Standardized cooking measurements do not exist in his house, everything is old school cooking in relation to yourself. A handful of this, a pinch of that.
- He has his grandmothers taste in home decor. 70′s shag rugs, wood laminate, acrylic yarn doilies, and a mug collection that at it’s best could be described as kitschy.
-While he is incredibly thankful that after being abducted he’d gotten to keep his hair, there was also the struggle to maintain like he had before. Enhanced hulking muscles meant he isn’t as flexible as he use to be, and he is unable to braid it. So he kept it short on the dolphin, and even on breaks back home he’d grow it out in a bun tucked under his hat.
On one of the many trips where Pyunma would stay with him, he’d catch Jr. early one morning struggling to braid it. Instead offering to do so himself. This became a routine whenever Pyunma stayed over, and as far as he knew the only person Jr. will let touch his hair. Pyunma would also take a lot of pride in his handiwork, especially whenever he’d catch Jr. admiring his own reflection.
Tumblr media
Pyunma
- He’d always wanted to visit Jr.’s ranch but maybe felt a bit awkward to ask, unsure if he’d even want the company.
- He’d immensely enjoy the monotony of ranch life, the predictability of long structured workdays giving him a chance to mentally tune out while keeping busy. A sort of stress relief from the unpredictability of his previous life back home.
- One of the only people Jr. would share teachings with because he understood that weight and responsibility that comes with it.
- Would be really into plant identification and drying them for storage. Would have a whole notebook full of illustrations and field notes based on what Jr. shared. Maybe even get into salve making on the side.
-Always carries a canteen to water the plants he harvests from, even when Jr. isn’t watching.
- Loves, loves, loves telling Jet believable lies about ranch stuff. Think lying about a weed being a cure all for muscle soreness, only to have Jr. ask where the hell he’d heard that from.
- Big fan of cinnamon instant oatmeal, Jr. is sure to stock up when he knows Pyunma is coming by.
- Of all the hand crafts Jr. had shared with him, Pyunma’s favorite would be dressing feathers. He’s got a near cult following in the fancy dance community for his bustle work.
- Very good at removing the stickers from nopales, often times double and triple checking Jr.’s handiwork before they make breakfast.
- Not afraid of rattlesnakes, but respects them deeply. Firm believer in the old rope trick.
- Can haggle with the best of them at vendor stalls, he knows a tourist price when he hears one.
- Enjoys listening to old radio dramas while laying in the back of Jr.’s truck at night. Eventually getting all three of them to make it a part of the weekly routine. They sit outside and start a fire, and make dinner before tuning in. They eat in silence, and when it get’s cold they all share a big wool pendleton.
