2x2 rewatch

Eeeeehehehehe, why the fuck am I laughing this hard when I realized it was the roadkill compost episode? That is not in the least funny, it’s actually pretty gross, but I’m literally paused 3 seconds in chortling to myself so hard that I’m having to wipe away tears. ...I think the stress is getting to me. Anyway, back to fictional Wyoming!

It’s actually a pretty genius business model, to be honest. Taking a sadly repeating resource and using it to enrich the soil? Tough work, no doubt, physically and mentally, but a smart and very niche thing. I hadn’t thought about the fact that cleaning up roadkill would have been part of Walt’s job as a deputy. Lucian said in S6, in his fantastically circuitous way, that it had been 10 years since he and Walt had worked together (if I remember correctly). Which... wait, is that right? Had Walt really only been sheriff for 4 years when the show started? Which is a single term, before Branch ran against him. I think I’d had the impression that he’d been sheriff for longer than that. Or is my math just super borked? (A very real possibility.) Who were Walt’s deputies before these three? Branch has probably been a deputy for a while, Vic was hired a few months before the show and it isn’t clear for Ferg but it’s implied at least a chunk longer. So who were his deputies for the rest of those 4 years? (Aaaaaand this is how I grow OCs. Shit.)

She names the roadkill? Eeeeeh...

Branch, you douchecanoe. You are very clearly not welcome in her home anymore; the fact that she hasn’t moved the spare key isn’t a fucking invitation to break in and invade her privacy, oh my gods I hate you so much. This is predatory behavior. You need to either go through official channels with the department to do a wellness check or FUCK RIGHT OFF into the deepest reaches of hell. Excellent plan, fucking off.

Henry, I adore you beyond measure. “Thanks-taking.” Vic... Seriously? “God, you people really hold a grudge.” Somehow, I think they’re kind of entitled to, what with all of the wars, genocide, stolen land, racism, broken treaties, and the like. Get bent.

Genuinely, Henry’s dry as anything sass is quite possibly the best thing about the whole show. We didn’t get nearly enough of it during the later seasons. And his little smiiiiile at having made Walt chuckle, oh my heart.

The “Hands up!” O.o “Hands down!” little comedy gag is totally sold by KS’s face, haaaa. And Ferg’s bafflement, but collected response to those truckers thinking he was a rentboy was solid.

I kind of have to applaud that sex worker’s gumption to just try to take off in the truck. Not the best thought out plan, to be sure, but gutsy.

Ok, Branch has just had a line establishing that they’re not in Absaroka, and then Vic and Ferg look annoyed/confused when Walt tells them to cut the sex workers and customers loose, but then Branch finishes with, “Absaroka County wishes you all a fine evening... at home.” So are they in Absaroka, or not??

Kudos to Walt saying, “Which will allow you to get out of here. If that’s what you want.” Not falling completely into the savior complex bs is good, and acknowledging that she is an adult who can make her own decisions, even if they’re ones he would wish she wouldn’t is good. ........If only he could extend that same courtesy to his own daughter.

Branch, wtf. It’s a felony to even have burglar’s tools. Legit, it’s a felony punishable with up to 3 years in prison or up to $3k, or both. Unlawful entry is 10 years and/or $10k, and I’m pretttttyyyyyy fucking sure you don’t have a warrant to be in Cady’s house. FUCK OFF. You giant douchecanoe. (Min and I also have a headcanon that the random coloured empty frames are Branch’s fault, because they don’t really go with any of the rest of the decor, and we hate them. So we decided that when he saw the Andy Warhol style print she had that he got those for her and she just never got around to taking them down after they broke up.) And isn’t tampering with someone’s mail a federal offence? You are the worst.

Aaaand then Walt calls the Collettes showing Ross Lanten’s wife video of him with prostitutes “interfering in his marriage.” Okaaaay. Because helping get a woman and kids out of what has several hallmarks of an abusive marriage is “interfering,” I guess. Not the happiest about that word choice, I’m not gonna lie.

Aaaaaand then Whitish is super racist, and I hate her. Henry handles it with grace, but fuck, I cannot imagine how wearying that must be. And Branch makes obnoxious and offensive assumptions (playing to his strengths, natch), and Henry once again demonstrates how he is also the Actual Best.

Nobody has heard from Cady recently, but the tiny little hesitation Henry has before he confirms that he hasn’t heard from her either is so good. LDP is so good. Just from that, it reinforces how much that bothers him, and that he’s worried, but also that he really doesn’t want to talk to Branch about any of it.

“If you do, will you let me know?” “I most certainly will not.” Such a classy way to basically tell Branch to fuck off and get wrecked.

A lady threatening Henry with a knife and I should not be focusing on how great he looks in a vest, but heeeeere we are. (I do love that brown vest.) And even after she is drunk and rude and racist and threatens him, Henry’s look when she says that she knew the dead man still has concern and compassion in it. Waaaaaah.

Do I remember what Walt did to his hand? Was that something from this episode that I’m not remembering right now, or are they actually having some intra-episode continuity and that bandage is him still recovering from the start of frostbite? [Dang it, my Xbox controller just pooped out. Now I have to go swap it out for the other one and stick this one in the charging dock. But I’m so cozy in bed with my jar o’ tea and everythinggggg. Boo.] ... [It has been long enough since I wrote that last bit that my Xbox has shut itself down twice in the interim. Oops. I’m super great at focusing.]

Fuck, that “I was some place I shouldn’ta been” hits hard. This whole seen in rough.

Aaaahaha, why is the fact that Ferg is also standing there looking at Walt when he wakes up so much funnier than if it had just been Vic? And his little grin. And Ruby with a mug of his toothbrush and such for Walt! Rubyyyyy! (Holy shit, the fact that they have this little set up is alarmingly adorable, and I heckin’ adore Ruby.) And then she sasses Branch, and I just want nice things for her.

Walt’s “If you want,” to Ferg came off to me more like, ‘waste your time if you want to,’ (though that could well be my own issues projected” but I’m proud of Ferg for running with it. And I do appreciate Walt calling the sex worker a lady.

Of course, he pulls Henry into his bs, getting him to solicit a sex worker. Why does Henry put up with him? I’m sorryyyy, but the pointing is so awkward and I cringe so hard, but what else is he going to do, I guess? And how does he recognize her anyway? Did Walt take a picture of her before letting her go, or something? It doesn’t seem like he even got her name, to pull up a picture from a rap sheet, sooo... Why am I even worrying about it? And at least Walt doesn’t think that it’s not rape just if it’s a sex worker.

The flashback scene sure hits hard, too. Damn. I’m trying to remember the last time I saw anybody other than Vic actually pull on a glove in consideration of fingerprints. I think there might have been one time or something, but nothing comes readily to mind.

For all that I rag on Walt for just collecting his assumptions and taking them to the bank, there is heavy irony with him now laying out the reasons he’s not arresting Whitish, because there is reasonable doubt in the form of the Collettes.

Ooooooope, and then Branch brings up Cady. I sure this can only go really well. Aaaaaaaaand of course Walt has one of his Longmire Epiphanies and just walks off in the middle of the conversation, such as it was.

Does a college registrar’s really have your birth certificate on file? I’m pretty sure I didn’t have to submit a copy to mine, but I also don’t really remember? But that seems weird.

Ah, the bandage was about the frostbite. I appreciate the continuity.

Hmmmmmm, Cady leaving her phone at home when she drove to CO seems unlikely. It seems unlikely as a generality for her generation, and on practical levels (directions to the precinct and such?), and just... That’s pretty hard to buy. If I don’t want to talk to somebody, or even a bunch of people, I’d ignore calls or even block numbers, but her not taking her phone gives the impression that there is literally nobody that she would want to talk to, and that plays into this really weird bit of characterization void that the writers fell into of Cady just not knowing any single person other than her dad, Henry, Ruby, Branch, and Ferg, and I guess Vic. As if she just doesn’t exist outside of her relation to one of them. She doesn’t want to talk to any of the 6 of them, so there is not a single other person on the planet who she would want to be able to talk to/have them contact her? There’s not a single other person on the planet that she knows who if they called and said, “I have an emergency, can you talk/help?” that she wouldn’t want to be available for? Bullshit. The entire rest of the series when she’s onscreen is showing how much she cares. She’s a fucking Hufflepuff, and she’s not going to leave her damn phone at home while she drives 6 hours away into another damn state. If you so desperately need to that she’s not even seeing his call, have her leave it in her car when she goes into the Denver station. Like, unless she has a second phone that she did take, I’m not buying it. Even as an attempt at “she’s so caught up in her mother’s murder now, oooo, Longmire tantrum and singular focus’ characterization. Just, boo.

Hello fellow treasure planet fan!!! First off, I'd like to start by saying I love your OC Sky!!! She's very cool and I'm loving her story so far! And, if you don't mind, I'd love to know more about her! Especially if there's anything connected between her and the main cast of characters. Another question; can I please draw her? :)

Aw hello! Thank you so much for reaching out! The Treasure Planet fandom seems so small, and OCs are even rarer to come across!! SO, I’m happy to be able to talk to you! :D AHHHHH thank you so much!! I love her and have been working on her story when I have time (I’m currently one week out from finishing my college semester so I’m pretty busy but am trying my best to doodle and create when I have the time).

AH gosh, okay, what would you like to know specifically? I finished her profile art wise but still need to do the write up portion. I think I have her story mostly squared away so I can answer any burning questions that you might have about her O3O Main characters! Okay, well, she actually knows Silver; I guess I’ll have to provide some back story to explain how they meet, so let me set the stage for ya XD So, as I have mentioned, Sky lives with her great aunt and little sister in a small, rural town on a planet a little farther out than Montressor. Her parents die suddenly when she is 8/9 yrs old and her her great aunt falls ill when she is around 11. It is around when her great aunt falls ill that she takes over as the main breadwinner of her ragtag family, running the several generation bakery and caring for her sister and great aunt (note: Sky’s great aunt isn’t completely incapacitated, but she has become wheelchair bound due to her illness so she cannot run the bakery as she did before. She mainly offers assistance and advice to Sky to help her with the baked goods and watches her youngest great grand niece (still deciding on her name XD).

Sky is able to maintain her family’s income and run the bakery with her great aunt’s help for the first few years, but things become sticky after taxes are increased in the town astronomically, putting out a majority of the rag tag businesses or forcing them to sell out/ give their deeds to one of the wealthiest, plundering families who happen to have great influence over Sky’s town and neighboring counties (the ones who may or may not have suggested upping the taxes to seek more control). The bakery is no different, and when Sky notices their running out of money/ability to keep the bakery open, she knows she needs to come up with a quick way to make money, and fast.

This is what leads to Sky offering her intellect and skills for profit; AKA, Sky offers her services in tinkering to those down by the pier several miles out from her little town. Since her world is fairly behind and more misogynistic than others, Sky disguises herself as a boy in order to freely navigate through the bustling port and offer what she has to those who are interested.

Of course, she soon learns that she isn’t going to get enough customers or money from people right with the law; why trust a 13 year old “boy” to handle some tech issue you have when you can pay an apprentice with the education and skill? And even if they do take her up on her offer, she gets paid even less than what she wants, which will make it impossible for her to actually pay for the bakery and her family’s basic needs.

Sooo...She crosses over into the black market.

People running from the law are more desperate and willing to pay more to get something fixed. Sometimes people can be rough (she got some scars to prove that) but most times, things go good. She’s not only able to make enough extra cash to support her family and bakery, but can also perform a service that happens to be her passion. So all in all, it’s good.

And, it is here that she runs into, you guessed it: Silver. After being on the run for a few months (post Treasure Planet), Silver stops by the dingy little port and is in a pretty big need to get a part looked at (I don’t know what yet, but just that it’s something Silver himself can’t just hit a few times and fix XD). He soon hears the rumors about a young engineer with sharp eyes and tongue who appears around the port a few times a week, and can fix anything you ask him to, for a price. With this info, Silver sticks to the shadows and makes work of tracking this engineer down, and when he does, it’s Sky.

Sky of course, goes by “Larz” when she is undercover. She’s about 15-16 at this point, so she knows her way around the port. She offers her assistance to Silver, and the two strike a bargain (Sky is much more stubborn than Silver thought) and she fixes whatever his issue is fairly quickly and impressively. Her skill and coded, mysterious nature intrigue Silver, and so, he finds himself watching her over the next couple days that he hides out at the port, wondering what it is that makes the boy so interesting.

I’m thinking that on one of these times, Silver steps in when one of “Larz’s” clients are getting a little too rough, which annoys Sky and sets her off, as she can take care of herself, thank you very much. And it’s that spark that Silver sees that reminds him of Jim, and oh no John, do NOT get yourself invested in another kid-

But it’s hopeless. Jim’s made him soft for clearly under appreciated, trodden down, brilliant teens, and Silver finds him with yet another troubled (different sort of troubled though) teen. The two end up talking, and actually meet up every time to chat at the port while Silver is there then next couple of days and Sky comes to offer her services.

Well, more so, Silver goes out of his way to “run” into her, and eventually, Sky gives in and joins him for a conversation (annoyed or not, the guy did save her from a pretty nasty brawl AND had been nothing but kind to her since, looking out for her and all. Plus, if he did try anything, Sky knew 8 ways off the top of her head to dismantle him, so she was prepared).

And the conversation goes pretty well, leading to several more before Silver leaves after his few days (still on the run and all that, heh), but he comes by every couple of months to see her and catch up. Sky still keeps her disguise and Silver doesn’t pry, but he’s pretty much figured out that she’s not who she says she is (Sky’s smart and can outsmart most of the pirates at the belly of the port, but not Silver).

This is just the beginning though; there’s a whole lot more that goes on between them, but I think this is what I will share for now (also I don’t wanna make you read anymore cause I know it’s a lot XD). You’ll have to tell me what you think! :D

Oh, and before you ask, yes, she does eventually meet Jim, but the two get off on sort of a rocky start (some jealousy with Silver and all that, but the relationships Sky and Jim have with Silver are not the same; Silver and Jim have that father & son thing going on, where as Silver and Sky have a “friendship, but also mentor” sort of thing. Jim doesn’t realize that though so he doesn’t like Sky all that much, and Sky’s not a big fan of men in uniform, so he can hate her all he wants and it’s no skin off her nose. Basically, bad first impressions, so we will see where it goes~).

Will the Bell Ring? Pt. 5

[Erik Killmonger x Black OC]

The speed in which Kimara peeled out of the parking lot of the Korean BBQ place gave any witness whiplash as she channeled her anger through the accelerator. Kimara cursed out the air and any driver in her way as she rode around the streets of midtown. It’s a damn miracle no cops were around to pull her over or they would’ve caught some serious heat from her their damn self. Not long after running her fifth yellow light turning red, Kimara began to feel her tears well over profusely. Her whole body shook as the sobs came more powerfully and she couldn’t control the car properly anymore.

Pulling over, Kimara puts her car in park as she lays onto the wheel causing it to honk one time before she unloads her emotions completely. This isn’t what she expected, which is an outcome that is actually more common throughout this fertility process than she’d care to look back on. She’s exhausted with all the waiting and trying and disappointment, Kimara just wants an answer or some quick fix that’ll give her what she needs.

*knock knock*

Kimara jumps at the sharp sound on her passenger side window, breathing out with relief once she recognizes the kind face.

“T’Challa! What are you doing here?” She sniffles as he opens the door to sit inside looking at her with pity.

“It’s not so taboo to be here shopping around as it is to sit in a car and cry.” He quips.

Kimara chuckles gruffly before getting caught with a hiccup from her weeping. “I don’t do this all the time, I swear.”

T’Challa studies your face appearing suspicious. “Are you…”

She stares at him trying to catch on until she rolls her eyes. “Not every emotional moment with a woman is attributable to hormones man, damn! I’m not pregnant, not on my period. I’m just dealing with fuckboy bullshit.”

T’Challa melts in his seat with embarrassment. Just two minutes with her and he’s already regretting making his presence known. “How are things with Erik?”

“Terrible.” Kimara mutters.

“Elaborate.”

She wipes her face, crossing her arms. “You know he can be such a damn idiot sometimes.”

“Specifically?” T’Challa draws out.

Kimara tuts at him, throwing up her hands. “I thought you didn’t want details on our shit. TMI and whatever.”

“I want details on what is going on with you. Good or bad.” T’Challa says softly, waiting patiently for her response.

Kimara drops her attitude, playing with her nails anxiously. “I had a doctor’s appointment today with Erik. Nothing’s wrong with him.”

“That is good, right?”

She lays back on the headrest, looking out the window. “It is, health is always good. Just...what else could it be now? I thought that would give me my answer.”

“Does Erik know you are here?”

Kimara shakes her head. “I left him at a Korean spot. He was picking up his car anyway but I was tired of him too.”

“Did you like that place?” T’Challa voice rises an octave in anticipation.

She nods, smirking. “It was very nice. Erik told me you picked it.” Kimara looks over at T’Challa. “Thank you for having good taste.”

T’Challa smiles softly. “It is not something one can learn, I told you.”

Kimara tuts at him before looking away wordlessly.

“But why are you crying alone from your husband?”

“I don’t know. I’m regretting what I said, or at least how I said it. But Erik started off blaming the doctor and not taking the positive notes she gave us. The whole appointment it was like he was stewing, ready for a fight or something. I don’t know what came over him then but he flipped out.”

“That may be his way of accepting the news himself. He is probably just as over the process as you are.” T’Challa says.

“I know, I know. But it’s like...what does he know? How can he come in here blaming anybody for this when he’s barely wanted to follow instructions on how to better our chances. He flip flops so much, then there’s work. I’ve seen him act like this before. When he wants something, he goes for it. But this? He’s in a whole other world. And I’m this close to done, I cant take his childish behavior anymore.”

“Have you told him?”

“No, this just happened.”

“I mean from before. Your shame: did you tell him?”

Kimara goes quiet. That said everything.

“Kimara-”

“I know! I should. But this isn’t the time. Not when we’re rocky like this.”

T’Challa grows impatient with her. “It has to be now! You are not over that time in life and if he does not know you are harboring, your emotional duress appears out of the blue. He will feel attacked.”

“Well he should! I gave up a huge part of me for him and I don’t know if he could do the same. He hasn’t proven that yet!”

T’Challa grabs Kimara’s hand. “Give him a little credit for what he’s been through. Look. Until you talk with him this is all speculative.”

“Well I have a right.”

“Do not be stubborn. Remember this situation before? I knew where Erik was, but you were not ready to let go of your anger to let clarity come through. You must seek him out on this, be truthful. If you do not, I cannot see this ending well, Bast forbid.”

Kimara holds his hand tightly before resting in his shoulder. “I remember...I get that. I don’t wanna leave him like that. He doesn’t deserve that if he doesn’t know. I’ll...trust the process.”

T’challa nods. “That sounds familiar. So you were listening to me. You are a special woman, I just hate to see you go through this without all of the facts being known on his side. The only way I can comfort you is because I know everything. Whether I like it or not.”

They chuckle a moment as they held it together quietly, grazing their knuckles in small circles with their thumbs. Kimara remember a lot about those times when Erik recovered from his combat brainwashing, how much coaxing it took T’Challa to see him through a new lens. T’Challa never let Kimara down. His word is always his truth and she appreciated that. She didn’t give it a serious thought until just now.

T’Challa kisses the top of her head with a small peck, making her look up at him with a faint smile. His eyes draw her into the features of his face, different from Erik’s but just as handsome. She felt a dip in the pit of her stomach as her eyes fell over the bow of his top lip-

*brrrring! brrrrring!*

Kimara’s phone breaks the trance as she nearly hops out of herself to stop the maddening noise.

“Hey Erik? Yeah, I’m just over by the shops on 48th? I needed some...I know…..It’s ok, really. We’ll talk when I get home, don’t worry. I’ll be there soon. Love you too.”

She hangs up, growing timid. “Sooo if you’re good I’m gonna head home. Talk to this boy about stuff.”

T’Challa has his elbow on the passenger window, balling his fist up but with a calm expression. His face reads a multitude of words just hanging from the cliff of his mind but his jaw is too tight to speak them.

“T’Challa?”

He nods, snapping out of his mind to give a tight smile. “Of course. Drive safely.”

Erik’s been working with his team at Boeing for a few weeks now trying to get some ideas off the ground. He prides himself on being a superstar of the company, earning them easily millions and it’s all lightwork for his IQ. But they were turning more commercial driven, and that doesn’t vibe with him. And now that he works with Bryan, being the son of his boss, his wings are nubs at this point.

“Listen. We have competition out there that are able to carry more passengers on longer flights. We gotta keep up or we will be left in the dust!” Edward exclaims.

Erik rubs his eyes as he leans back in the conference room chair. “I’m not going rounds with you over this. That’s the last thing we need to be focusing on right now.”

“Profits? Profitability is never last Erik, it scares me how often I have to remind you of that.”

“Hey guys?” Bryan says.

Erik tunes him out. “When profit hunting cuts into innovation, TRUE innovation, that betters the product in the long run and sets an example for others in the industry, we fail! And in your case we already are! The Russians landed on the moon first bruh!”

“Guys!” Bryan interjects.

Edward holds up a finger. “One second son. Listen here, I’ve been in this business for 30 years now, you think-”

“I think your father shoulda taught you better than this, yeah.” Erik quips.

“GUYS! I have a fucking idea, can you stop to hear it?”

Erik and Edward fume, looking at one another before going back to their respective corners.

“Sure son, and please speak with common sense.” Edward says rolling his eyes as he sips some bourbon.

“How about we just knock out on engine on each side of the aircraft, so that gives room for the extra passenger space to be added?”

Erik’s face screws up “BOY THAT’S THE DUMBEST-”

Edward stops Erik. “Hang on. There are no wrong answers here. Keep talking, what do you mean by that?”

Erik is incredulous. “There are literally very wrong answers that can be given when discussing the composition of an aircraft!”

Bryan clears his throat. “Well, of course we have to map out the logistics of it all. But that’s the difference between us and our competitors. They have constructed their aircrafts to be able to accommodate the extra passenger space by having the bodymore elevated from the ground. The only thing blocking ours is the extra engines.”

“There are so many things wrong with what you just said, it’s hilarious honestly. But you have a good time figuring it out.” Erik gets up to leave.

“Oh actually, if you have space in your schedule, we need you to help with this one. I really wanna get the ball rolling on this so we can be prepared to roll out by next spring at the latest.”

“Why the fuck would I work on something that ain’t my damn idea? Your boy said it, let him handle it. I don’t need no credit for this.”

Edward scoffs. “That’s fine. You can do the work and get none of the credit. How’s that?”

“What?”

He pats Erik’s shoulder. “We have a father son golf tournament we wanna get some practice in for anyhow. Erik, I trust you. You’re my most senior person in this department, and at your age, that is incredible. I’d love to see you running this place one day, but to do that, you have-”

“I don’t like sports, I don’t do teams, and the only player I am has nothing to do with this company.”

Edward smiles amused at Erik’s tenacity. “That is good! I love that enthusiasm. So I need something, anything crossing my office floor by month’s end or you know, we’ll talk.”

“That’s some bullshit, you know it.”

“Oh, don’t worry. I did get you some help to soften the blow. They should be waiting in your office.”

Erik rolls his eyes. If he has to see one more white person giving him orders, he was gonna make the 5 o’clock news in no time. He makes his way down the hall and around the corner to trudge his way to his office, checking his pockets for his phone. He sees a text from Kimara and starts to open it as he walks in.

“Well how you, handsome?”

Erik’s feet make tracks on the tiles as he screeches to a halt. Looking up he starts to turn warm, eyes widening as he catches a glimpse of a familiar figure.

“My, my. I guess you do recognize me. I’m a lot different outside my work clothes.” She says, rubbing the back of her neck as she clutches her leather satchel. She does look a lot different than their first encounter, but the curves can’t hide under her tailor navy blazer with gold piping along the collar and sides, with matching pencil skirt to boot. The only thing that didn’t change is the heels, that had to be flirting with workplace dress code etiquette for height.

Erik tucks his phone in his pocket. “Uh, you, uh…Chanel, right?”

She rolls her eyes, fighting an embarrassed smile. “Whatever I told you that night was a lie. I never tell dudes I barely know my real name. It’s Alaina.”

Erik walks across the way offering a hand. “You didn’t seem too bothered with me being a stranger though.”

She shakes his hand firmly, still smiling slyly. “Well, that was then. And I was off the clock. I can’t be held responsible for what happens after hours.”

“Mhm, if I wasn’t with my boy, you would’ve given me some trouble. That wasn’t a meat market ma’am, I wasn’t lookin to cut either.”

She raises her hands. “Hey, I get it. Especially now. You have my word I will behave myself. God blockedt it!”

Erik takes a seat behind his desk as Alaina sits in the chair across from him. “So you are the secret weapon to getting this bullshit idea off the ground, huh?”

Alaina shrugs. “I’m here to get a paycheck and possibly a promotion. I’m here on contract, I gotta make my moves while I can.”

“Ok, that’s cool. It’s funny how he got all the Black folks working this together for him, but I won’t get into that today.”

She rubs her forehead. “Please, refrain. I don’t need a lecture on corporate politics from Brother Erik today.”

Erik chuckles, impressed with her wittiness. Chanel, or Alaina, was more than just a fat ass in some FashionNova, but a brain on top to boot.

“You right Listen, Edward got you here close to my clock out time, so I was gonna go to my bar spot up the street, let off some steam.”

“The Magnolia? Ooh, I love their martinis at happy hour!”

“And it just started too.” Erik pulls out his keys and gets up to leave. “So that’s where I’m headed. We can pick this up tomorrow, if you not up for martinis.”

“When am I not up for a martini, is the real question. One drink can’t hurt, I’ll treat you. And don’t worry about what I said earlier. I’ll be on my best behavior after hours too.”

Kimara comes home to the house dark and empty yet again. Erik has been taking a lot of time to work after hours and it’s been killing her vibe lately. When she comes home from the studio, she’d love to see her man welcome her home, but he hasn’t been available.

Phone calls from the fertility specialist urging her to start considering IVF as an option is stressing her out. Erik isn’t getting the calls, nor is he there when they come. The most he can give is a hurried, ‘oh what’d they say? What you wanna do then? Look I gotta go!’

Kimara was not keen on even thinking about trying to get fertility treatments yet. One day she invited Lia over, a friend she’s gained from her recent sessions at the studio.

Over a bottle of wine and junk food, Kimara opened up about her situation as of lately. It’s hard to avoid as a topic since it’s been consuming her all this time.

“Sheesh, it’s been that long?” She exclaims taking a strong sip of her glass.

Kimara nods emphatically. “I wish I was lying but yeah. We are closing in on a year pretty soon, and I’m not getting any younger, so I may have to look into this pretty soon. It’s not like we are having a whole lot of sex these days anyway. He’s at work constantly.”

“Girl, fix that ASAP! Nothing makes me more jaded than not busting one every so often.”

“No one said I wasn’t busting, I would like to have my man in on it too, every once in a while. I need a new charge cord for my shit now!”

Lia guffaws. “So who’s ignoring who though in this situation? I know he can’t resist our fine ass.”

Kimara scratches her head. “Well…”

“Oh! Now we don’t have much to say!”

“I mean! He comes in late as hell. I’m in my bonnet, got on my mask, knee deep in Blue Bell watching my shows when he comes in. By the time I’m in bed and he takes a shower, he tries to get handsy. But I don’t wanna just be devoured and tossed aside, I want some damn communication!”

“Well at least you know he wants it still.”

“Yeah yeah, but when I call him on the bullshit he turns his ass back over real quick. He won’t talk to me and I’m getting so damn tired of trying.”

Lia looks at her phone. “Shit, I gotta go girl. The sitter won’t hesitate to charge me extra for being late. But girl, just take some deep breaths.”

Kimara does. “Will air give me a baby and my hot and horny relationship back?”

“No but it’ll give some blood flow to that crowded ass brain of yours so you don't get to talking foolish.”

Kimara hugs her and walks her out the door when she sees some headlights pull into the driveway. Lia looks back.

“Be nice, but stand your ground.” She winks before walking on, waving wildly at Erik’s car. He waves back nonchalantly as he walks in after you.

“Who was that?” Erik asks.

“A friend from the studio. Just keeping me company.” You say, discarding you glasses.

Erik tosses his keys on the counter, taking his shoes off.

“You want something to eat?” You ask at the kitchen sink.

“Nah, you good. I already ate.”

“This late? So work came with dinner today?”

“You could say that.” Erik sas in a monotone as he takes his jacket off.

Kimara stans there tapping her foot impatiently. “Well, what do you say?”

“...you forgot to clean the dishes again?”

“Erik!”

He laughs. “I’m just kidding! Damn, how’s your day? Love you. Thanks for everything. I’m takin a shower.”He kisses a fuming Kimara quickly sensing his job being done.

Erik heads upstairs to the master bathroom as she loads the dishwasher, which has become like a part time job for her. Erik used to try and pull doing the ‘traditional’ household tasks mess on her. But Kimara snapped him up quick with some facts, ultimatums, and peppered threats to get her point across that that was not how things would go down. But he’s fallen off the wagon this month. Kimara sets the washer on and rinses her hands with fury before bounding up stairs. She hears the water running and open the door. Erik’s silhouette is frosted and murky behind the foggy glass of the shower door. The scent of his body wash fills her nostrils, lighting up her senses. Kimara loves the soap he uses and can’t resist when he’s cleaned up to get him dirty all over again. But like she told Lia, she hasn’t been in the mood as of late he didn’t earn that ass yet.

Kimara sits on the toilet lid. “Erik, what’s been going on?”

Erik opens the door a crack and peeks his head out, sudsy bubbles speckle his skin as he grins. “Yo, what’s it look like I’m doin? You tryna join me?”

She shakes her head. “I wanna know where my husband has been spending his time.”

Erik’s smile fades as he closes the door again talking over the water. “I haven’t done nothing but work. And trust me, I don’t like it no more than you.”

Kimara makes face of frustration. “So what changed? This isn’t normal for you still.”

“I mean...there’s nothing to talk about now, but I got this project on my head that had a strict deadline and me and this partner have just been…..you know, hammering it out.”

Kimara sighs. “It’s not the same not having you here. I don’t like it, it’s not fair to me.”

Erik shuts off the shower, getting out with his body glistening wet and clean, grabbing a towel across the way to dry off. “I ain’t no fan either, but I’m tryna do some big things here that will hopefully make some history and that takes a lotta time and energy.”

“So does a relationship! I been having dinner by myself, sleeping by myself. I get calls from the doctor asking for us when there is no US to consider.”

Erik peaks from behind the towel on his face. “Hey hey! We still us, don’t trip! Like I said, I-”

“BUSY! Sure Erik, whatever fits your conscience. This project better have a break time, cuz WE have things to do too, remember? So you and your boy, whoever your project partner is are gonna have to work something out.”

Erik wraps his towel around his waist before kneeling in front of Kimara. “I know you think I forgot but I haven’t.”

Kimara’s eyes shift from him. “What?”

Erik smirks. “Now you gonna hurt my feelings if you forgot. Tomorrow…..our anniversary?”

Kimara tears well up instantly. Of course she thought he had forgotten. He hasn’t said a damn thing leading up to today, what else would she think.

“I don’t want you crying on the happiest day of my life, you hear me? We in that year three, third times the charm right?”

Kimara really starts to ugly cry now. “Why you makin me cry if you don’t want me too?”

Erik kisses her hands. “You are my life. My one, my baby. One thing we learned together no matter how far I go, we come back together as one, you know?”

Kimara sniffles, leaning her forehead against Erik’s thinking over their years together. That statement didn’t always ring true to her, but in a small way he has been right.

“No decision I make goes without thinking of you, our family. I got us reservations tomorrow, and tickets to that comic you love on the Boulevard. We got the whole day to do what we wanna do, don’t trip.”

“Don’t scare me like this.” Kimara says with an exhausted tone. “Even for surprises, don’t.”

Erik’s eyes met hers. “Nothing is keeping me from you. Tomorrow let’s make that appointment with the doctor too. I’m feeling pretty lucky right now, we are gonna get our shot.”

“You feelin lucky to get lucky?” Kimara says stifling a laugh.

Erik pulls her closer to him by her hips. “No lottery better in the world.”

They kissed sweetly at first, feeling a familiar urge that makes her legs tighten up. Kimara pulls away first. “I thought about something you said though before, about a different doctor. My friend knows a fertility specialist that may be worth looking into, maybe we can them next.”

Erik nods, looking lost in her face, running his thumb along her cheek. “Sure, I’m up for whatever.”

“Also, while you been busy, I’ve been looking at spots for a vacation. I’m; narrowing it down to the DR, PR, Turks and Caicos, or Belize.”

Erik buries his face in her chest, kissing the softness of her skin. “I trust your judgement.”

Kimara defends herself against his ticklish lips. “But I want your opinion too! And since things been going good with T’Challa and his lady, they should join us officially. We can have dinner with them next week to get acquainted and start talking about it.”

“Ok! You gonna help me cook?”

Erik scoffs. “Who said that? We cookin now? Why don’t we do like them damn Koreans and just say bring your meat and here’s the stove. Ge to it!”

She rolls her eyes. “I’m am so sick and damn tired of that smart mouth of yours.”

He cocks an eyebrow, giving your thighs a squeeze. “It knows what to do when you need it to.”

“Oh?”

They smile into each others mouth as their lips come together in an embrace. Kimara’s hands play in Erik’s locs, carefully rubbing his scalp as he moans under the sensation. Her knees rub around him causing his towel to fall.

Erik picks her up, kissing at her neck with neediness. “I know you not tryna fuck on this toilet?”

Kimara sighs erotically rolling her head back to take in his mouth. “Like I give a shit where I get it right now…”

Eight Years Ago

Kimara sits in the studio after hours, playing around with the keys on a keyboard. The day was done but she had plans to meet with someone so she was just biding her time. In the distance she could hear the bells jingle on the front door of the studio as someone walks in. She checks her phone for an ‘on the way’ text but there is none, and curses herself for forgetting to lock the door.

She slowly comes out from the back room. “Uh, sorry but we’re clo-”

The jean jacket he loves, little locs bound atop his head, and a pair of broad shoulders hunched looking through framed photos of musicians spanning decades in a display case told Kimara all she needed to know for identification. Her heart lurches into her throat, cutting off her breath to produce sound as Erik slowly turns to look at her.

“Wassup?” He says with a casual grin.

“H-hey. How did you-”

“Find you?” She shakes his head looking back at the photos. “It ain’t that hard to figure out. Not as hard as getting to Wakanda to see me I guess.”

Kimara folds her arms walking slowly towards him. “Erik, I couldn’t go all the way over there. For what? Your cousin told me you were safe, and frankly that’s all I was worried about.”

He nods, turning to face you with his hands in his pockets. You take a deep breath looking him over. Still as big as ever, and looking good to have gone through and done all T’Challa told her happened in Wakanda. And in a small way his eyes seemed different and familiar, not like the night he left. But like the friend she once knew.

“I’m glad he filled you in on that. Yeah, it took a lotta counselling with my demons, but...I figured out what I needed to let go and change for the better.”

“Good. I’m glad, really.” Silence comes between the both of them. Him just standing there looking at Kimara made her feel shy all of a sudden. She thought about this day often: what she would say or do if she caught him out here after all he put her through on her own. But now that spirit just isn’t in her. She felt stagnate, like her whole system shut down and is preparing for a reboot.

“How have you been?” He asks, scratching his beard humbly as his eyes drop a second from her face. “You look nice by the way.”

Kimara shrugs. “I haven’t been up to much recently. I teach music to school kids and...since you found me here maybe you heard I do backup for artists sometimes.”

Erik shakes his head. “Nah, I hadn’t heard that actually. Congratulations! You deserve that, your talent is outta this world, Mara.”

She gives him a weak smile. “And we’re closed now,so I mean if you want to meet up another time, I gotta-”

“Did you miss me?” Erik asks.

Kimara stammers. “Uh…”

Erik leans on the case hanging his head low. “I know I shouldn’t have come by your place that night. I don’t know what has gotten into me but I promise you I hadn’t planned for any of it.”

“I know that now. You came to me confused and left me just as such. I thought you were staying with me.”

“I know, and I was. I just wasn’t ready-”

“To be a man? To be grown enough to take responsibility head on?”

Erik shrugs looking slightly bewildered. “Possibly, I don’t know! I didn’t want to hurt you and leave you without me seeing you one more time but that night made it even harder for me to want to go.”

“Then why did you? Why did my body become your test of ‘should I stay or should I go?’ You were planning to leave regardless, you just said! So why weren’t you upfront with me?!”

“Because I love you and didn’t want you to get hurt!”

“But you hurt me Erik! You did! You came over feeling big and bold, I softened you up but a minute before you peaced out on me. Like that shit didn’t matter? Like that’s even something we did before.”

Erik’s eye hang low. “I didn’t mean for the first to be the last.”

“I don’t give a fuck about the sex Erik. I was just another in a line of females you wouldn’t look twice at. You ain’t my first to do that, I don’t give a shit. But if you weren’t interested in being my man, you could’ve at least been my friend and thought for one second how leaving to do a homicide suicide mission with who knows and where and leaving me high and dry! I was a MESS! I was inconsolable, Erik we practically grew up together and you just that easily forgot what all that shit meant?”

Erik shakes his head emphatically, walking slowly over to her with outstretched hands. “Mara I’m sorry.”

Kimara gulps for air between sobs, feeling herself go weak. “No! Don’t do that. I’m sick of you.”

Erik wipes his face eyes turning red, looking sorrowful. “I been sick of my damn self.”

Kimara grabs Erik by the collar of his jacket. “I’m so sick of you bringing this tye of shit outta me. I was over you, I swear I was.”

Erik’s arms wrap around Kimara tightly as she burrows her face into his chest. They shake with emotion together, swaying side to side and letting go on one another. Kimara hugs Erik as tightly as she can, feeling rubbing his back, caressing his head to make sure he isn’t a dream. But it’s real. Erik’s hads travel the length of your back before finding either side of your face to pull your gaze to his.

“I won’t put that pressure on you again. I’m not leaving your side either. I don’t even care if you got a nigga, I got your back when he fuck up.”

Kimara makes a noise that’s a combo of a sob and a laugh while holding the back of his hands in his. “You still a damn fool.”

When Erik’s eyes meet Kimara’s, there’s an energy that kept accelerating, building between the two of them. It was tortuous, almost irritating how lonely her lips felt when she looked at his, and Erik definitely felt the same.

God’s hand seemed to keep twirling around their heads, bringing them closer bit by bit until their mouths met. Kimara’s body felt like a whole piece again once connected with his. She had found a peaceful existence without him but she had no clue she missed him so much until he was right in front of him.

When they parted for air Kimara rested her forehead on his chin. “Erik, I can’t just jump into this. I’m still not there.”

Erik pats her head gently. “Mara, I ain’t worried bout that. You here, I’m here. I don’t need nothing else. Imma work on my situation, get myself stable. And you just live your life like you was. Just this time you can call me. For whatever.”

Kimara hugs Erik tightly, breathing him in when she feels a vibration in her back pocket.

“Sorry, hang on.” Kimara reaches for it, looking to see T’Challa’s name flashing as an incoming call. She declines it, texting him back to cancel their night together.

Oh my, sure!

This took longer than expected and is longer than expected sooo under the cut it goes!

1. How/why did your clan get it’s name?

Sylvhurst gets its name due to the large tree that the Rulers live in. It used to house the ‘soul’ or ‘essence’ of Queen Azraea until a spell went awry and she became a dragon. ‘Sylv’ and ‘hurst’ are both tree/forest words.

2. Are there any other clans living near by? Are they friendly or are they rivals? Tell us about their interactions with your clan.

The closest ‘clan’ would be the Seelie Court, which is about a day’s travel south. The Seelie Court and Sylvhurst are allies who trade and lend eachother support in times of need. Given that the Seelie Court has a hidden entrance and is generally not entirely open to outsiders, most of the interactions between the members of both clans happens within the boundaries of Sylvhurst, or in the unowned sections of the Tangled Wood.

3. What is your clan’s main source of income?

Probably the sale of magical goods and services. The Mage’s Quarter makes up a huge portion of the city, and there’s a good variety of magical beings each offering up their own unique type of magic.

4. What items does your clan have to import from other flights/clans/etc? Who is in charge of that?

The biggest import is building materials, despite the fact that Sylvhurst is in the middle of a forest. Because of Queen Azraea’s origin story, very few buildings in the town are made of wood, and it’s actually fairly difficult to get permission to build houses out of it. Instead, stone buildings are far more common (much to the joy of the magic users who find stone much more receptive to any spells they attempt to place on their residence).

5. Does your clan produce any sort of item coveted by other clans? Specialty items, services, food/drink?

Sorta in relation to #3, I’d say maybe Perseus’s enchanted items would be one of the more popular items for sale in Sylvhurst. They’re notoriously reliable and he has a myriad of spells that he can place on all sorts of items.

6. Is you clan independent or is it ruled by another governing body?

My clan is independent in the sense that Syvhurst is ruled by itself I guess?

7. Is your clan religious? Is there a single dominating religion or belief system in your clan or is it relaxed about different faiths?

All forms of religion are welcomed into Sylvhurst, though those who are fanatics may find some strange looks and whispers their way. For the festivals Sylvhurst dresses itself up and has a huge celebration for whichever God the festival is for.

8. What sort of superstitions do many in your clan believe? Is there any merit to it, or is it just wives tales?

There’s plenty of superstitions concerning the forest surrounding Sylvhurst, and most of it actually does have merit. There’s been plenty of legends about a mysterious young hatchling with glowing eyes who guides lost hatchlings back to their parents. Or about a ghost who seems to show up before deaths or disasters, wringing his hands in worry. Or even stories about a cheerful young man who can be helpful one second and a thief the next, and what to keep on hand to give him in return for his aid.

9. Any serious taboos?

Queen Azraea has been known to welcome all sorts of dragons into her clan, and even offer second chances to dragons who have done some fairly illegal things. The one crime that is expressly forbidden within Sylvhurst, however, is slavery or any form of trafficking. Any slavers moving through the territory are liable to be targeted and either killed or escorted out of the lands once their prisoners have been released.

10. How is your clan operated? Is there a single leader, a council, or something else?

Queen Azraea and King Arguim (technically) have final say on decisions made for the entirety of Sylvhurst, but they employ a fair number of advisors on different matters. Trickmurk is the tactician who is technically the immediate supervisor of the Guards. Iravat, while being the main advisor is also the leader of a smaller and more elite force that is targeted to more ‘high danger’ targets (Think Emperor level danger). Undine is another important person who oversees the docks to the west and enforces import and export restrictions. For the most part these advisors are able to rule over their own sectors without the Queen and King stepping in and overriding their rulings.

11. How is food stocked, stored and inventoried for rations during the lean times? Is there a specific dragon in charge of that?

Huh... I actually don’t have an answer for this. I would assume that the process would start with Undine at the docks, and she would begin to enforce export restrictions on anyone attempting to ship food out to make money. Then, she’d likely attempt to reach out to contacts and attempt to acquire more shipments of food. If it got really bad the treasurer, Aurelius, would most likely be brought in to sequester a portion of his vault for dried / salted portions of food.

12. How are your clans defenses operated?

Sylvhurst has a few defenses, but not many because of its somewhat secluded location and relatively few threats that they have dealt with so far. One of the largest defenses is a ‘shield’ that is controlled by Harlequin, which essentially ‘steers’ malicious people away from Sylvhurst and sends an alert of the location. It acts as a sort of suggestion -- and it is by no means going to turn someone around who is actively attempting to reach Sylvhurst. It’s more to try and prevent random people from stumbling into town and causing trouble.

Other than that, there are a number of guards who are stationed at the roads that enter and leave the city. This does leave the wooded areas without defenses, however, because there simply aren’t enough guards to actually surround the city.

13. How is waste removed from the clan?

Can I pull a JK Rowling and say it’s just magically vanished

I’m not sure! Waste such as packaging and trash is likely somewhat rare within Sylvhurst. Many things are reused and even bones from things like fish can be sold to vendors within the magical quarters for a small amount of money. Maybe any left over trash is incinerated?

14. Does your clan have livestock of any kind?

Not within the walls of the city itself, no. However there are a number of farms that have carved their way along the roads leading into town and while most of them are crop farms there are a few that also have various types of livestock.

15. How is water managed in the clan?

Water is collected for use in a number of ways. Almost every house in Sylvhurst has some form of a rain barrel (either for drinking water or for use in spells) which is the primary source for a number of people. There is a freshwater lake on the northern edge of the city which some people collect their water from as well. The ocean is another possibility, especially for those who live in the harbor area, as there are simple enchantments that can be used to turn the ocean water fresh and clean. Everyone handles their own water needs for the most part, barring of course businesses and inns which manage a much larger amount.

16. Is there a community hatchery/nursery, or do parents rear their young separately?

Parents rear young within their own homes, though there are nurseries which can look after hatchlings if something happens to their parents or if their parents cannot look after them all day long on their own.

17. Who teaches the younglings the basics?

The role of teaching is generally given to the parents, or, if they don’t feel comfortable it’s possible to find a mentor for the hatchling. The real basics of life are handled by the parents, but once they begin to branch out there are a number of tutors or mages that are happy to indulge the odd question from a child.

18. How does your clan view Exaltation? Is it an honor, banishment, something else?

Exaltation is more personal than anything. Most in Sylvhurst form their own opinions about it from their own experiences with family members and friends deciding on it. For most, exaltation is simply a journey a dragon takes when they decide that they wish to serve their god in any capacity. It’s definitely not a banishment, and it’s also not exactly an honor. It’s simply a different choice.

19. If your clan has a diverse number of dragons of different elements, how does that affect society? Are some dragons prejudiced against certain elements/breeds? How does the clan handle this?

Sylvhurst is a melting pot of every single element present on Sornieth. While Prejudice may occur behind the scenes, it is fairly obvious that overt prejudice will not be tolerated by the people of Sylvhurst or the King and Queen. Most of the conflicts seen in the clan are actually conflicts between dragons of the same element.

20. Are there Beast Clans near your clan? How does your clan interact with the Beast Clans?

Given the scope and mystery of the Tangled Wood I’d guess that there’s not-a-small amount of Beast Clans wandering near Sylvhurst. As of right now, no Beast Clans have taken up residence within the territory of the city, but they do stop by the marketplace or the docks more than occasionally.

21. Are there some Beast Clans that are allies and others that are enemies?

I don’t have any actual Beast Clan OCs or anything like that, but I like to think that Sylvhurst is a bit more friendly to Beast Clans than is regular for dragon clans. Many of them know the story of Azraea’s transformation and the dryads especially feel a kinship to her that they don’t feel towards dragons often.

22. Is your clan located near where the Emperor was sighted last? How is it preparing for that?

(I’m running on the assumption that the Emp was in Light territory because I don’t feel like looking it up lol). Sylvhurst is somewhat far from the border between Shadow and Light, so they’re not too concerned quite yet. The Queen and King aren’t doing many preparations other than the usual defenses. If it started moving closer, they might start taking preventative actions.

My AUs are a mess

So uhm... I should probably make an updated AU and tag system for this blog, there’s sooo much going on. This is all very specific for the Granblue Fantasy side of things, not for Dragalia, since... well, I’m very deep down the rabbit hole of self-insert nonsense for GBF and I’m a bit hesitant to go down that for Dragalia, especially since Euden is a proper character and replacing him seems kinda rude.

DRANG x STURM AU AND TAG LIST:

- Bloof Husbando: Art of Drang that someone else has made. -Moo Wife: Art of Sturm that someone else has made. - Mermaid AU: Self explanitory, Drang is a water elemental-y looking mermaid, and Sturm is a fisherwoman who gets stranded on a desert island, has both art and fics! - Fairy AU: Drang is a Fae, Ferry is an Archfae, Sturm is a Fairy, adventures abound, currently only has art but I want to write fics for it too. - Vampire AU: Sturm’s a bandit on the run from her previous boss after stealing an incredibly powerful relic from him, and she ends up in the castle of Drang the Vampire. Shenanigans ensues, currently only has arts. -Pocket Drang/ Pocket Sturm: Either one of the pair is an incredibly cute lil critter. Sturm is a little mini cow thing with a voracious appetite for meat, Drang is a little chinchilla thing who gets into trouble a lot. He also likes boobs. -Non-Canon: Stuff that’s plausible for the canon of the universe but haven’t happened as far as we know... Also includes angsty awful things. -Sanatorium: A short 8 page comic about Drang and Sturm in which it’s revealed that Drang is missing an eye and has anxiety over hospitals due to his past.

The entire blog needs a tag overhaul following this lmao. For reference, Captain Gretz is my self-insert OC who I use instead of Grandjeeta, any other characters are either my partner or friends.

(Her main is @ashesandrainbows ) Ash is a white-lilac haired Draph fighter, usually fire or earth element aligned. - Captain Coky: Tagged when he appears, the self-insert OC of my friend Coky (Ash’s partner, I have no idea if he has a tumblr). Coky is a black haired Erune mage, mostly wind element aligned. -The Turquoise Captain: Solo AU of Gretz, where she’s the Captain, no other self-insert characters except her exist in this AU. I will link a proper “Profile” of her with her story and what the heck is going on with her. She’s the Singularity, and daughter of an incredibly talented mage, she shares her body with an entity following her death on Zinkenstill, and is also tied to Lyria’s soul. She’s a mess. - The Amaranthine Captain: Solo AU of Niels, none of the other self-insert characters exist in that AU. Niels also died on Zinkenstill but doesn’t have that freaky soul tie to Lyria, and doesn’t have any crazy entities sharing his body. He’s very cute and pretty much the most chill Captain the Grandcypher could have. His living quarters are filled with rescued animals. - The Two Captains: AU in which Gretz and Niels are both captains of the Grandcypher at the same time. The Power Couple of the Skies, basically. - Divided AU: AU in which Gretz and Niels are both Captains of the Grandcypher, but in different universes. There have been several breaks in the realms that have allowed them to see each other but generally they cannot see each other and crossing the universes is very taxing magically, mentally and physically. Our answer to Star Crossed Lovers who were not meant to be but still want to be in love with each other. - Turquoise Crew: AU in which Niels is the captain, and Gretz joins the crew as a regular member without all that crazy bs happening in her solo AU. She’s just a talented Mage. They rescue ALL the animals and it’s also very slow burn. They’re two nerds who fall in love way too slowly for the rest of the crew to handle. - Amaranthine Crew: AU in which Gretz is the Captain and Niels joins the crew later on as a regular member. They have a rocky start and initially see the electric spark between them as a rivalry, but they both misinterpret it, they’re just REALLY into each other. -Captain Gang: AU in which Niels, Gretz, Ash and Coky are all the Captains of the Grandcypher at the same time. DOn’t ask me how that’s supposed to work it just does. The entire crew knows that the 4 split into pairs, but to everyone else looking to hire the Grandcypher crew, it seems like the 4 are in a polyamorous relationship (they’re not but people are fun to tease). A cuddle room exists, and the captains all sleep in a cuddle pile on many occasions.

i’m glad you enjoyed it! but as for the oc’s feelings for jimin, i wouldn’t necessarily say that she’s “trying.” she already feels a lot for him, and i wouldn’t say she only likes him bc he reminds her of jk. it was more so that he’s the only person that’s been able to make her even contemplate moving on. so her feelings are definitely muddled right now, but we’ll see where that takes us!

And yes, I really loved the way she handled Yoongi too - it truly was a silent battle haha ^^ In future chapters, there will be more backstory on the other Rogues, but it will go MORE in depth with Namjoon I suppose ^^ Those three are truly side-characters in this series, but Namjoon is the more dominant character of the three I think ^^ Thank you so much for reading and I hope you’ll enjoy the next one too!

I think everyone thinks they know a little bit about her (as in, the characters in the story), but ultimately, they are all missing pieces of information. But with Serrena’s knowledge, hopefully she can set the record straight!
