CONCEPT ART TIME!!!

Ok so, theres a lil info abt my canon and concept art! Idk if they will change, but there they are for now.

Now, facts about this canon:

Steven is alive. His gem preserves his organic matter.

Earth is still dying, so Steven moved to Homeworld permanently.

Due to toxic ocean waters, it was decided that humans in Beach City should evacuate to the safety of the zoomans ship.

Those humans live in one of Yellow’s moons now.

White sugested to start a Kindergarden on Earth to at least preserve its life through gems, the authority hasnt decided what to do yet.

Spinel is part of the Diamond Authority now, decided after a few hundred years of training.

As expected, Connie is dead, but Lars occasionally stops on Homeworld to visit Steven. (Lion lives in HW)

They still ‘colonize’ planets, but preserve their lives as it’s important for the echo system.

Since their physical forms are just a reflection of light, every species sees them differently. (Steven sees them as humans from time to time and na’vi see them as na’vi)

Blue Pearl is always, and by that I mean ALWAYS seen by Blue Diamonds side.

Their Na’vi names were given to them by the Metkayina.

not reblogging cause this is that white girl that caused all that discourse around the sayhername hash tag, but I wanted to make a response. like obviously she ra and su are for kids but if you're gonna tackle heavy subjects like war and colonialism which all these shows do explicitly, it's a little jarring when the end result is...singing songs and open arms. Like atla had a lotta problems in regards to the narrative views of actions by victims of said colonialism (hama, jet, etc.) But at least in the end ozai was unquestionably the bad guy and treated as such. aang didn't kill him but he was in the end dethroned and imprisoned for his numerous war crimes (high key iroh should've been too, but that would've required an entire story rewrite). In su, the diamonds killed their own kind for eons and even planned to destroy earth. Blue Diamond had a human zoo and this was supposed to be seen as 'cute'. They were literally called Zoomans! Like no Steven himself shouldn't have shattered the diamonds cause no kid should have blood on their hands but idk why in the entire episode of Bismuth's introduction we were suppose to be scared of her and view her as incorrect when the Diamonds literally killed all of her comrades save for the crystal gems. like the diamonds were reformed and now use their powers for 'good' but whose to say that can't change.

I'm assuming this is meant in an abstract sense, not that you have received one personally

I'm not especially opposed to them. The main problem is that they're effective at making people afraid, and in a free society, making people afraid of one another just because they're made of human beings is not a good thing. So it's a good idea to make it as hard as possible to make people afraid of one another in this way.

That said, it's also a good idea to make it as hard as possible to blow people up with bombs. So the presence of bombs is a balance between two (not-necessarily-commensurable) goods. Every restriction on bombs has a tradeoff.

I don't know what that tradeoff looks like. It probably depends on a number of things, like how many bombs are being produced, how deadly they are, etc. If the new restrictions manage to push down their production while also making it easier to blow people up with them, they're a bad idea. The current restrictions, on the other hand, are way more effective at preventing people from making bombs than they are at preventing people from actually blowing stuff up, and I think the new restrictions are at least as good at preventing people from blowing things up.

A lot of the resentment I see towards this news story is from people who are lumping the "preventing people from making bombs" part in with the "preventing people from blowing stuff up" part. TSA agents, etc. are not infallible and it's easy to find people who have gotten past them. I don't know how the new restrictions will work in practice, and I'm not sure anyone else does, but they seem like they're at least as good as what was there before, and they may even be better.

the most unrealistic part of steven universe is that the zoomans speak and understand modernized english.

I wasn't really impressed with some of the footage we've seen before, but the trailer from today actually has me interested!

I hope I'll be able to take more pictures and videos in the new game, too. We'll see if I'm motivated enough to do that! :)

A quick side note: I actually started playing botw again over the past couple of months when I'm bored and don't really wanna play any of my other games on my switch! I've been slowly recording some new stuff, which I hope to eventually post again. Not sure when that'll happen, but I'm hoping to collect a bunch of footage before I upload it all so I can have the queue going for a few weeks rather than it just running out after a few days. So keep an eye out for that in the future!

S-8x4 the horned hybrid child

Going back to this old post, I've decided to revamp her entirely.

one thing; I'm scrapping the name "Samantha" from her entirely. for obvious reasons. instead, she goes by "little S".

but! I'm keeping to the other info: S-8x4 is still a small 10-11 year old child, and is the daughter of a formerly corrupt gem and a former "Zooman" (hence her number-esc name)

her father named her after her mother's gem cut.

Should go without saying, but the horns are a result of her mother's post corruption scars. they are mildly inconvenient, but she doesn't want to get rid of them due to them being her mother's and it wouldn't feel right.

Her cheerful, happy nature stems from her Zooman heritage, but she is capable of acknowledging when things are serious.

She likes to give flowers to others to new friends and just other people in general. to her flowers are the best cure to feeling "not good".

her tail stems from a shape-shift malfunction; she once tried to shape-shift into a bull [in the honor of her gemstone's zodiac: Taurus], but due experiencing a large amount of pain trying to do so, she was only able to form the tail. (and refuses to shape shift it away, due to fearing the pain.)

once again. people mock the concept of steven unive debating and discourse but look at what was fucking happening in the god damn show dude
