Okay, so there's one thing as clear as Japan's water bodies :

Fate decided to stick up their middle finger and shove it to your faces. The thankful fact was that the volleyball didn't end up on your face because the spike or serve would've definitely cracked your or anyone's nose. Confused? Let me take you back.

You lightly chatted with your bestie and she joked,"what if another volleyball crashes at us?", to which you played along,"please don't jinx us", but as always, fate is definitely not in your favor and you two just happen to walk in front of the gym where the volleyball club held their after school practice.

Only one metre separated you and the gym, a volleyball came at a rapid pace, it might have hit Kashikoi and she might be laying unconscious on the ground but her fast instincts saved her as she ducked right in time for the volleyball to miss her head.

The volleyball crashed with a somewhat loud sound against a tree that you didn't noticed till now.

"What the hell? I would have died", Kashikoi looked around to spot the person who almost unintentionally killed her. A boy with light brownish hair and swirly bangs seemed to come their way with his hand slightly waving in the air, he bowed towards the black haired female and apologized, " Sumimasen! Are you fine?", "Well, I almost got killed so, of course-", You quickly placed your hand on your overdramatic best friend's shoulder and said, "She's okay, thank you for your concern".

You recognised the boy, Yahaba Shigeru, second year, setter. "I'm [Name] Kashima and this idiot here's Kashikoi Kamitani. Pleasure to meet you", you stated in a hurried voice, truth to be told, you didn't want to get involved with the volleyball club, you didn't wanted to be involved with any of the characters in this universe.

If wasn't like all of them were annoying, it's quite the opposite, Aoba Johsai were one of your favourite teams in Haikyuu!!

You were just scared, maybe it was the multiple fanfics you read in the middle of the night when you were back in your real 3-D world. You knew what some obsessive girls (yanderes, your otaku mind jokingly referred them as) were capable of. But, as for know, maybe maintaining your distance from Oikawa was the best option.

Your mind had another reason to avoid them, as silly as it sounds, you don't wanted to fall in love with them (little did you know, your heart wanted to) because it will become even more painful when you realize your anime husbando is now within your reach and still you can't grab them.

"Let's go, Koi-cchi".
