the one where remy from rattatuille is proved to be trans, which i think it might've been the same as the one where everyone quesitons why the rats have american accents and everyone else (execpt linguine) have french accents. i mgiht be mistaken tho so im so sorry

trackin' down this one was relatively easy. and it helped havin' already seen it before. i went on over to the Search Bar and asked my ol' pal, Google, for some help. i asked for "tumblr remy is trans" and was quickly handed the exact post i needed, makin' this case rather open and shut.

not that i even include any of the nina project canon on this blog, but what really annoyed me about it all (i mean, basically everything to do with the storyline lmao) is that jane continued to call brenner papa. he claims they're “father and daughter” and offers his hand to her, and she takes it, in order to continue the work. she confirms he is her papa. by calling him that, it continues to implement that he is some kind of role model or positive figure in her life. the fact that she didn't confront him about her childhood until he physically stopped her from leaving and put the shock collar around her neck, is wild to me. all of jane’s development from the very first episode is amazing. in just the end of season one she associates “bad” to brenner, after spending one week with the boys. yes she did try running away from him the moment she saw him, and she was only thinking about helping her friends in working with nina, but she would not have put up with his behaviour towards her. she knew who he was at that point, and if not just to her, then to her friends: he faked will’s death, threatened to kill the boys, destroyed her mothers life. anyway. the point of this post, is that after season two, and her experience with kali, the man who hurt terry, and brenner’s vision, she only refers to him as brenner. there is no more papa. she is not giving him that credit, or allowing him to have that possession over her. if he were to ever come up in conversation, he is brenner, and that’s it.

okay im still annoyed i didnt meet my 'finish ch42 by the end of march' deadline so ive given myself a new one of just 'ASAP' which is. not the best with adhd but IM MAKING IT WORK. i think im just gonna churn the entire thing out tomorrow. first few days of april is practically the end of march anyway

I had a dream that it was moving day and I hadn't packed anything, my parents were in the city to help me move and I wasn't prepared at all, and it didn't inspire me to work on cleaning and packing but it did make me super anxious so. That's something.

I guess this confirms to me doied is for sure a different person, I kind of thought maybe he was something roier's brain was making up to cope with the situation he's in?

You ever think about how there was a clear allegory of comp het Dan was going through for the entire movie.

Like he had the choice of getting his degree, marrying Meg, and living a “normal” life or throwing away basically everything to be with Herbert.

And how this also extends to why he keeps denying his own agency in the choices he makes, always blaming Herbert because if he doesn’t he has to accept something about himself, that he didn’t want what he had with Meg and that he does want what he has with Herbert, despite literally all the negatives that come with that.
