what's the funniest possible way to show my OCs relative heights and appearances and also give a small glimpse into their personalities?
make them weezer
Tumblr media
god this is stupid
okay these are four of my characters in this story called The Price of Freedom, a lesbian prison love story that I've had floating around in my head for like ever. I actually posted like four chapters a while back, but I didn't like how the story was going so I'm actually gonna start it over. new chapter 1 coming soonish
from left to right, the characters are Avelyn O'Neil, Abigail Price, Mercy Jackson, and Tiffany Rodgers
I spent like 3 hours on this. any more and the joke wouldn't be worth it.

Canonically Jack call Teague's dog "doggy"
The image of him as a kid playing with his doggy is just 🥹
Also the fact that all of Teague's men call him Jacky/Jacky boy. I mean they saw him grow up, its so sweet

(hi!) I found an old draft of the price of freedom (the one at the D23 expo) and for the moment I only read parts of it, and I found out that when Jack was called to visit Christophe on his cell, originally Teague was meant to accompany him instead of the jailor, and that's... Wow??? In the end Jack went alone (and freed Christophe immediately) because he went late to the jail and Teague had to make preparations for the gallows, but can you imagine what would happen if he actually joined him?? Christophe probably wouldn't dare to lie/gaslight Jack into freeing him and even if he did, Teague would be like "hold up there, little shit, shut up, only I do that to Jackie and NOT to make him a Code-breaker" and end the visit (and probably guard Jack until the execution is done, lol)
(and that being said, I understand why Crispin wrote it the way she did in the end)
Omg (Hi to you too :D!) I never knew this that's just???????? Teague would definitely do like you said and make sure both he and Jack see the dead body of that man //and then there will be no book anymore// but even if Jack knew Teague was meant to go with him; he'd still find a way to go before Teague got the chance to visit the cell because he knows Teague will disagree with him anyway/ not listen to his innocent verdict* about Christophe, despite Jack being in the wrong about that manipulative jerk, like, I still think Jack breaking the code was meant to happen and there would have been a way for it to happen because of Christophe :0

Hey, so, why didn't anybody tell me that The Price Of Freedom, the prequel book to Pirates Of The Caribbean, is not only more than 600 pages long, but is actually longer than Moby Dick?

Crispin Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings Relationships: Jack Sparrow & Elizabeth Swann Characters: Elizabeth Swann, Jack Sparrow, Gentleman Jocard (mentioned), Cutler Beckett (mentioned), Edward Teague (mentioned), Hector Barbossa (mentioned), Will Turner (mentioned) Additional Tags: Slavery, Ignores Canon Post-Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Canon-Typical Violence, Jack Sparrow needs a hug, Jack Sparrow-centric, POV Elizabeth Swann, Pirate King Elizabeth Swann Summary:
Alongside her sails the Black Pearl, once again recently re-acquired by her rightful captain; while Elizabeth is uncertain of Barbossa’s fate, she doesn’t doubt that Jack Sparrow would have killed the man a second time for daring to steal his prized vessel again.
The eccentric captain seems untroubled where he stands at the Pearl’s helm, aside from the grim set of his jaw at the idea of more bloodshed. Really, Elizabeth’s not sure why a man so opposed to violence even agreed to embark on such a mission. Surely, he knows that they could lose the day? Whatever the case, she is glad to have him along. He is her oldest friend in the world of piracy, after all; there’s a certain comfort in his presence, knowing what may lay ahead. Despite what little she truly knows of him.
Following Lord Beckett’s demise, Elizabeth Turner leads the Brethren Court in a series of raids against the scattered East India Trading Company. At first, it’s the smaller outposts. And then she leads them against a rather large establishment in West Africa. There, she finally learns how one Jack Sparrow wound up a pirate.

Was Jack and Angelica's relationship a rebound?
If we get more depths of Jack and Angelica's relationship in OST movie, It'll be like 10th doctor and Martha Jones
My theory that their relationship is a rebound relationship
Before he met Angelica, Jack had relationship with a Mexican name Esmeralda (a character from The Price of Freedom) and betrayed her but he cannot get off about her and fantasizing about. Besides, his true love was the sea but he cannot get over Esmeralda (and Elizabeth too)
In psychology, it's normal to fantasizing about your ex but Jack gone way too far
In OST movie, Angelica wore historically inaccurate outfit
This had me thinking of Jack fantasizing about Esmeralda from the past and pushes Esmeralda's image over Angelica as a person
My OST musical concept will cover this

Pirates? Davy Jones? East India what? What are you talking about, this is totally what happened
---
This has got to be one of my most niche pieces. Also the first drawing I wrestled with Rebelle for because I wanted to give it a kind of watercolor picture-book-illustration feel but alas I did not know how to watercolor

back on my bullshit (drawing my inmate OCs again)
the girl on the left is Abby, nicknamed "Ginger" by a lot of the other inmates because of her hair. the girl on the right, MJ, is a tutor for the prison's ged program. MJ is also trying to drop hints that she has a crush on Abby, but Abby's a bit too oblivious to notice.
also, decided to change their designs slightly since the last time I drew my girls. I gave Abby slightly darker hair, and also gave MJ a different colored uniform.
I swear I'm gonna actually write about these dykes eventually. I'm just distracted by a bunch of stuff and somehow end up drawing them again and again.

do you remember when Christophe left Jack to die on that little boat and then Robby joined him and they spent 5 days on that boat before they found land?
This is what I think happened on that boat in those 5 days

And, also, I know Jack was cautious, but imagine if Teague found him by accident when Jack returned to the Caribbean to find Christophe (or even worse, when he was working WITH Christophe) or when he was a mere EITC sailor in Africa? Teague was Pirate Lord of the Madagascar after all. Its possible that he was sailing in Africa a lot, in his "territory", isn't it?
Tbh I have to opposing opinions about this : one where Teague finds out and attempts to get Jack back and the other where he simply lets him be ;
I think if eventually Teague found out the whereabouts of Jack , I imagine it like you mentioned; Teague would have his own spies/ informants who'll report to him the typical dealings of the EITC and I think if someone thought they'd seen Jack they'd tell Teague right away and ask about a suitable course of action against Jack cuz he is still a runaway from the Code's justice and yet to pay for the damage,, so finding out Jack works for the EITC is like double betrayal to Teague's heritage+ status + pirates community in general;;;;; Jack did say he can never go back because Teague will kill him if he found out about him ; so Teague going out of his way to "kidnap" Jack from his position as a merchant and get him back to the cove and Jack assuming the worst to happen - with good reason- doesn't seem unlikely per Jack's thoughs on the topic ://
...Then there's also sth in SoF where Jack was still trying to figure out if he wanted pirating for a life and Teague saying he does have the knack for it but thought he wasn't ready yet (( not sure if I remember this correctly)), so maybe seeing Jack doing sth different and rising to ranks ( he made captain at last!) might make him reconsider whether pirating was actually the best choice for Jack or not,,, - even if this meant Jack was lying to himself that a normal life was his calling and even if it meant he can no longer see Teague but from the opposite sharp end of a sword ,,, so maybe Teague won't purposely cross paths with Jack until his son does first and it won't be on familial terms .....so maybe Teague let's Jack be in this case and tries to move on with things back in the cove without acknowledging Jack's part in it ..
But also there's this silly hope in me that even if Teague found out about Jack and wanted to confront him about all the mess , he'd still side with his son to loosen up his judgement despite his betrayal ; whether the rouges or the EITC , he's still his father and he did save him many times (despite that being conditional/ not allowing Jack to live those times down) idk tbh but I'd like to believe he's still got some good in him to care for his son and I kinda imagine sth like that happened at the ending of the book to allow for Jack to earn a place and a position back in the pirate community. ://
