(hi!) I found an old draft of the price of freedom (the one at the D23 expo) and for the moment I only read parts of it, and I found out that when Jack was called to visit Christophe on his cell, originally Teague was meant to accompany him instead of the jailor, and that's... Wow??? In the end Jack went alone (and freed Christophe immediately) because he went late to the jail and Teague had to make preparations for the gallows, but can you imagine what would happen if he actually joined him?? Christophe probably wouldn't dare to lie/gaslight Jack into freeing him and even if he did, Teague would be like "hold up there, little shit, shut up, only I do that to Jackie and NOT to make him a Code-breaker" and end the visit (and probably guard Jack until the execution is done, lol)
(and that being said, I understand why Crispin wrote it the way she did in the end)

Teague would definitely do like you said and make sure both he and Jack see the dead body of that man //and then there will be no book anymore// but even if Jack knew Teague was meant to go with him; he'd still find a way to go before Teague got the chance to visit the cell because he knows Teague will disagree with him anyway/ not listen to his innocent verdict* about Christophe, despite Jack being in the wrong about that manipulative jerk, like, I still think Jack breaking the code was meant to happen and there would have been a way for it to happen because of Christophe :0

Again, another favourite bts;
Jack casually conversing with his crew members, he rightfully earned the title of a captain but he doesn't let that stop him from behaving like any other deckhand; he'll do whatever work required when manning (the/his) ship, yet his interpretation of a good captain makes him willing to lend an ear to his crew, be on their level and listen to their life experiences..
He earns their loyalty from respecting them, not from instilling fear into them or treating them in an awful manner like other pirate captains, like Barbossa :/
---> this does not dismiss the fact that he's keeping things close to the vest or wtv, totally valid+ reasonable+ he was victim to mutiny before so uh it's okay if he doesn't share stuff about himself, also Jack is attentive; so he'll care to know what the crew is feeling for his own safety as well....

UPDATE: More Vegetables!
Today, Hussam and his team in Rafah were busy sorting and packaging vegetables. They managed to put 200 packages, each with 10kilo of vegetables (potatoes, eggplants, lemon, jalapeños, tomatoes, and cucumber) and 3 packs of feta cheese for each family.
A few days ago, Hussam also bought diapers, soaps, and buckets to distribute to families with babies. All your donations go directly to Hussam. He still is able to withdraw cash from limited money sources but with high fees due to shortage of cash throughout Gaza. He now pays 15% in fees, which might increase in time. Please keep up the good work in spreading the word and donating.

UPDATE: Frozen Chicken for Ramadan!
Hussam managed to secure and buy 100 frozen 1.3kg chicken to the camps on his land and will work on another chicken run for the next camp! This is great news because people are lacking a lot of nutrients and protein so these will help them get a bit of their energy back!
Also, food cans are always available to everyone who needs them. People come to request food cans of meat and other things. But Hussam's team managed to distribute 1000 cans 2 days ago.
And! Diapers when available are also purchased and distributed on the spot to those who needs them.

There's this line in SoF where Jack goes on and says "the man who's been raising you is plotting some way to overthrow the current patriarch and secure the family inheritance of plundered treasure for himself" idk sth like that,the thing is;;;
---> I'm fine with overthrowing the patriarch thing but it's the treasure on that's interesting to me, like Teague does own one of the biggest mansions in Libertalia and it's design seems to be extravagant per description :/ but it didn't appear (to me) that he was influenced by the need to accumulate wealth; like in the movies he seems only focused on the Code/ the order and keeping of it and enforcing it upon other pirates and that applies to tPoF as well,
.... Sure he must raid enemy ships or hunt down merchant, treasure- laden vessels cuz ofc he's a pirate+ pirate lord+ pirate captain and has an "esteemed position" in the pirate society, and yeah he is a blood thirsty murdered too as per Jack in LotBC, but I thought he'd do what he does to preserve his image/ reputation/ keep crew satisfied and ultimately acquire more authority to enforce his decisions over others, but idk that sentence in SoF makes it seem like he likes treasure just for the sake of it and I don't like the idea of it being an inherited one either, didn't think he'd be interested in family belongings and thought he'd rather leave these matters to his other relatives :/, he just seems too educated and above that kind of thing :/
