In the admittedly-niche genre of “songs sung from the perspective of 8-bit video game villains,” Dr. Wily honestly got the biggest win possible between The Megas’s “Gamma Unchained” and The Protomen’s “The Hounds.”
Cos in the former you get an impassioned anthem from someone who knows they have gone too far in their pursuit of their goal, knows that their current state of mind has been damaged by the things they’ve done, but has no choice put to press on, caught in an endless loop of crossing more and more boundaries while trying to build a future that is good enough to justify each transgression in an ultimately doomed attempt to salvage the whole of his life’s work
And the other is Dr. Wily going “Can’t help being a gemini ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (frames someone else for a horrific murder and then proceeds to sing the mother of all bops about it)“

having megaman as a first hyperfix/fandom spoiled the hell out of me because every time i get interested in something, im disappointed there's not multiple rock bands making original music about the thing

listening to the megas is a fucking experience because you'll hear the most emotionally devastating song ever written and then the song was about this fucking guy

Well. Huh. Okay. This is gonna be a journey. We start with a song I just think is awesome. And then go into a high energy song about protecting yourself from heartbreak. And then we just get increasingly thirsty for a bit.
"Also there is a very horny sapphic song on here. Anyway." - this quote from a few weeks ago is also true. Except maybe more so.
Then we switch gears completely. Energy. A low key observational singer/songwriter thing. A ska song. Ending with a song from what I'm pretty sure is the Mega Man rock opera.
Yup.

More character design!!! This time with Megas!Shadow Man :000
I hc him as originally alien-built so his design is the odd one out in comparison to the other Wilybots. Magnet Man and Proto Man for scale (7′ and 5′7″ respectively)
Bonus, he’s got a fun mouth/jaw :) (warning for lots of teeth/gaping jaw)
The mask is to keep it all tucked neatly away and make him look slightly more approachable, and he doesn’t often use the jaw for anything
