Autism gives me the ability to love and respect the practice of, not only cleaning; but folding and putting away my laundry also.

jesus fucking christ I think I've heard Cardiacs through every combination of musical medium, music playing device, headphone socket type and headphone this evening. I mean, I haven't gone as far as finding out what it sounds like to listen to them on vinyl record through these headphones but I very much COULD have if I WANTED to (turns out the amp in the living room has the right socket for these things, and the record player runs via that amp, and we have multiple Cardiacs vinyl records). anyway the conclusion is yeah it is the adapter fucking up these headphones so another night I'm gonna have to look into that shit

This is your sign (if you're financially able to) to buy that support need you've been considering. If you've been thinking of getting a cane, just get one. If you've been wondering whether to invest in stuff for any sensory needs you might have, get it! If you think that fidget toy might help with your mental health issues, just take the leap. You literally never know until you try and the worst thing that can happen is that you just keep that item for rare occasions when you do need it or sell it on to someone you know does need it. Please don't suffer in silence because you're guilting yourself out of something that could drastically improve your quality of life <33

God fucking dammit! when my sensory issues get to me, because we are at a family party and there is music and people talking and to much to much to much, it's my problem and I need to deal with it, and no you can't leave or wear visible headphones, no they won't turn the music off -- please don't even ask, but when I make noise at inopportune times, like listening to music in my room, or talking on the phone or anything, suddenly I need to stop and accompany everyone else's needs.
Why does everyone get to have their needs acknowledged except me??? Why is me getting disrupted by others okay, but other people being disrupted by me not okay???

I finally got around to treating myself to a congratulatory gift after my promotion at work at end of December so I decided to bite the bullet and buy the sony M5 headphones and tbh — I love them so much already even though it was a very spendy purchase
