Sad Lovers & Giants have been on my distant radar for years and years. But I never really got around to listening to them. And I almost didn't again. I was listening to the very cool Sylvester album released by San Francisco based label Dark Entries. This label is so cool - anything from Blues Lawyer to Sylvester to Sad Lovers & Giants.
Sad Lovers & Giants (Watford, England) were a late 1970s early 1980s band - and they do have a sound from that era. Unmistakeable touchstones are The Cure, The Smiths and The Chameleons. But they also remind me of another great Dark Entries band reissue - Lives of Angels.
Honestly, do yourself a solid. Spend some time checking out the Dark Entries catalogue.

why is the version of Swamp Thing by The Chameleons on spotify fucking awful like the single version is an incredible song and that intro is fucking perfection but the one off This Never Ending Now is... eh. Far too acoustic and it's not even acoustic idk how else to describe it tho
