7 Worst Dragon Ball Characters (objective)

Honorable mention, Master Roshi. So here's the deal, I actually like Roshi. I actually like Roshi A LOT when he's being the offbeat martial arts master, but for the most part he's a serial sex offender, and the anime adds even more sexual assault for lulz.

Oolong

So y'know how I basically said there were aspects to Roshi's personality I really enjoyed, which is why he's not on the list proper? That's not the case with Oolong. There are definitely aspects to Oolong I like -- I like Piggy from Journey to the West and I think it's hilarious that Toriyama dressed him (and Mai, for some reason) like Chairman Mao. I also have to credit him with saving the world, although idk how Pilaf would have actually held onto his world empire with people like Goku around. Regardless, his character is another vehicle for sexual assault humor.

And yes, the English dub fucked up and made him sound like an adult. The joke is that he's a child that acts like a perverted adult, but because he's a child, he's just kidnapping girls to clean his house and be his mom, basically (Bulma pretty much even adopts him). Sexual assault humor is still sexual assault humor, though, so Oolong sucks

Bacterian

Garlic Jr.

Who stans a poser? In DBZ Abridged, they rip on Lord Slug for being EXACTLY King Piccolo, but the only difference between Slug and Garlic Jr. is that Lord Slug knew his place well enough to stay out of the anime.

Lemme start tho with the things I actually like about this guy. 1) he's a demon, I think. Toriyama introduced the concept with King Piccolo, backtracked, then reintroduced it with Dabura. Dragon Ball Xeno Heroes or w/e later realized this was free real estate and expanded on the idea to the point of nausea, but until then, Garlic and his henchmen and Dabura were your only demons, if that's something you found dope.

Other than this, Garlic Jr. steals Pilaf's design, but instead of remaining a lil' gremlin, he goes the filler route and beefs up like a Broly. He has a past connection with Kami like King Piccolo and successfully uses the Dragon Balls like King Piccolo. He then uses the Jr. like Piccolo. Get your own fucking thing. ALL YOU HAVE IS BEING THE SON OF KAMI'S RIVAL

And what really gets me is that he would be an okay filler villain if he wasn't just a chimera of better, actually canon characters, but as he is, the only things I like about his movie and arc have nothing to do with him.

Fwiw this is the only character on this list that's filler/not a part of Toriyama's original run. If this included GT, then there would be nothing but GT. As far as Super goes, I like the characters or at least their concepts (looking at you Zamasu), and the shit part is in the execution.

Spopovich

He and Yamu serve to showcase Babidi's power of mind control, but in doing so we're forced to witness the most pointlessly brutal, one-sided beatdown in all of Dragon Ball. I think the anime even devoted an entire episode to this ffs

We later learn that you have to already be a prat to fall under Babidi's powers, so there's nothing even tragic about his brainwashing and ultimate demise. He sucked before, he sucks now, he's a bad character.

Idasam

First off, it really doesn't make sense that a kid's division was introduced, does it? Most of the top fighters in the World Martial Arts Tournament were underage

Ok ok. As I made this list I began to realize there weren't a lot of characters in Dragon Ball that I actually hated. Some I definitely liked less than others, but few were so bad that I would remove them if I could. This chick is definitely one of them tho.

The Anti-Chi-Chi, Idasam raised two little brats that ig she loves and supports, which is the only thing she has that going for her. Besides that, she's mean to Bulma and even tried to physically assault her until the Mother of our Saviour Chi-Chi stepped in

Pirate Robot

Admit it, you thought he was filler. He looks like Third Form Frieza fucked some Saiyan armor. I've seen people try to salvage pirate robot by saying he's Android 2, but no, he's not, General Blue had no idea about this underwater pirate cave, and it doesn't make sense for Dr. Gero to squirrel away a dragon ball down here. Sometimes the things you love just disappoint you

Super Buu

I'm not sure this if this is a controversial opinion, but Super Buu is trash, his arc is trash, and everything he does will be done better later by Janemba in a fucking filler movie.

Before his introduction, Gohan failed, Vegeta failed and failed and failed, Gotenks fucked around and found out, and Goku wasted his time on a useless transformation like Future Trunks did in the Cell Saga (if he had been alive, Gohan would be trained and he would have realized SSJ3 wasn't a real transformation). Then Hercule came along and WON. The champ did it, he beat Majin Buu (with kindness). And that's great. If the Buu arc ended there, it would've still had several loose ends, but Z has loose ends as it is (imo another saga was needed to complete Gohan's character arc).

But then Toriyama (I'd rather blame his editors, but I've never seen anyone credit Super and Kid Buu to editorial interference) Ctrl-Z's Hercule's victory and we get Super Buu, a Perfect Cell wannabe that does nothing but crack his neck and murder Marin and everyone else too ig with his admittedly dope human extinction wave.

I have nothing but issues with this guy. His arc is way too long, his design is generically cool like a filler character, he steals Cell's powerset, he steals everybody's clothes, and he murders most of the cast while having little to no personality, so I can't even hate him for it

it was fine. better than bog and resurrection f, not as good as broly. i had a lot of fun watching it. the final battle fell off but i felt like that in the other dbs movies too. the animation was p good, lots of good shots. piccolo was lovely. i absolutely loved the gammas. now.

ooooh ive been waiting for this one. We watched this together on discord so you know my general feelings but Im happy i got this ask lol.

The new movie that everyone seems to love and adore.... that I dont. It was a pretty middle of the ground, meh overrated af movie. Not bad, just nothing special. I enjoyed watching it sure, but not something I have an inkling to return to anytime soon if ever. It was just ‘there’ for me. 

First, I’ll say the good stuff. The visuals looked really pretty. Nobody was THAT out of character of the existing cast (save for the ending), which i feel weird to have to even mention it as a positive, but nothing really stood out to me as a defining moment for the little cast we had besides Goku’s “youre not a bad guy, i can tell” or w/e. SUPER SAIYAN 1 IS STILL GOAT. It looked soooo good in this movie i wish we couldve kept it the whole time instead of Blue. But i will say, Blue looked much better in this movie than the series. The darker-blue with the lighter blue eyes was a nice change from instead of the ugly bluish-green the series did. Also the aura looked better. Backgrounds like the ice area and even Planet Vegeta were amazing. Action was great too. little Bulla was cute. The OST i liked (the chanting really grew on me) and Blizzard is a banger i love that song. Oh and the aritisic license they took for the fusion scene with the reds and blues spiraling together was great

Anyway thats all the positives I have lmaoo

This film includes Minus and I already went in depth on why I hate Minus with a passion and why it’s the worst thing to come out of modern Dragon so yeah moving on. But the fact that they devoted screentime to Gokus backstory which ultimately served no purpose to the story of the film and couldve been used more valuably elsewhere. 

I said the action was good, and it was, but it almost too good. At times it was so fast to tell that was going on and really lessened the impact for me. Like when they went into the other dimension or whatever, Gogeta went blue and Broly went LSSJ (idc if the name is different name, itll always be legendary SSJ to me lmao) so ast it was a blink and you miss it moment. like what? those moments shouldve been given even a little bit of focus. 

Next the cast. Goku and Vegeta. AGAIN. snorefest. no Gohan, Piccolo is just there to show them the fusion, Goten and Trunks are still kids and look like babies (and Pilaf gang is with them which is another can of worms), no Android 17, who the series established as one of the top 4 fighters on Earth. 

Do we get any of that? Nope. Just the two Blue and Bluer fucking again and again I. dont. care. anymore. Their dynamic is so boring and played out id rather watch paint dry. It was fun in Buu Saga, hell it was even fun in GT, but DBS constantly forcing this dynamic and Vegeta as the second Main Character needs to fucking STOOOP. Toei and Toriyama has no idea how to further Vegeta’s character because theyre stuck in this infinite loop. 

Vegeta doesnt want to help Goku, he mentions Bulma and/or Trunks, Vegeta blushes, and then he decides to help. THAT HAPPENED LIKE SIX TIMES IN DBS ALONE. It happened in Buu saga as well, but it organically worked cause it was the first time but Bulma and Trunks were ALREADY DEAD/ABSORBED. The look on his face wasnt blushy or pouting for a gag, dude was legit shocked. I rag on Vegeta but he had some legit great moments in the early arcs and later parts of Buu Saga. Anyway im off track. They repeat that same exact character moment OVER AND OVER. cant tell you how many times we had “my Bulma, my bulla, my Trunks, my cabba” in the Tournament of Power alone, and this movie is no different.

DO SOMETHING ELSE FFS

Then we have Broly. ohhhhhh boooy Broly. if you can even call this version of him Broly. His backstory is kinda the same as original movie 8/Broly LSSJ, but its more tragic becuase according to most fans, if youre background is a sobstory, that equals better character. NO. sure it could, but that trope was so worn out so long ago I hate it. “waaa his life was bad, hes not a bad guy” bruh i dont care thats not Broly. just make an OC if you wanna do that. but nope. gotta use the marketing! (More on that later)

People like to criticize Z Broly as “he hates Goku cause he cried” or “all he says is Kakarot” which both are false. On the first point, Broly is a psychopath. He was stabbed as an infant and left to die along with Paragus cause he was too powerful. Then that same day Planet Vegeta explodes practically on top of them. The rest of his life hes basically either being controlled or on a rampage. So that one moment of peace is “ruined” by Goku in a sense cause he subconsciously associates that with Goku. On the second point, Broly was already mentally unstable and then nearly dying, getting caught in the explosion of a SECOND PLANET and then being frozen for seven years will fuck anyone up in the head. Z Broly in the original movie was sadistic af and he had a lot of memorable moments and lines that werent just screaming Kakarot, that Second Coming made him infamous for. 

New Broly is legit a man-baby. People talk about old Broly having no personality and this new version having a deep character, but I dont see it. He acts like a child when hes with Cheelai and Lemo and then once the fighting starts he doesnt say a single word but yell. SOUND FAMILIAR?? But he gets a pass because the canon police says so right??? fuck off. New Broly is boring. Im tired of trying to make the Saiyans into ThEyRe noT aLl BaD sEe The SaIyAns ArE AcTuAlLy GoOd!!!11111 ugh i hate it. keep Broly a psycho and keep Bardock a prick. even that guy that went with Buzz Lightyear I mean Paragus was a sweet guy who couldnt fight because of course he was. At least they kept Paragus being a prick when he killed him. Tho his death was lame. 

Cheelai’s overrated af. Shes just green bulma lmao. and the fact that they included the “big soft-spoken man gets mad and saves girl from drunk lowkey-rapey pervert” trope just had me roll my eyes like dude stop. Lemo was fine? Nothing against him but didnt do much for me either.

FUCK. FREEZA. i went over this one before too so ill be quick with this as well. I hate hate hate the fact that they brought him back not once but twice in DBS, but even worse that they left him alive to do whatever tf he wants including going back to mass murdering people and expanding his army again. Goku and Vegeta just LET HIM LIVE. Why tf did they go all out and attack Broly, but not Freeza? when one of them was fighting Broly th other easily could have taken out freeza but nope we need a token villain like Joker or Skeletor cause unoriginality. Even at the end, Gogeta does a full power blast to wipe Broly tf out, but when Freeza tries to kill Cheelai and Lemo (two innocent people, feelings on them aside) Gogeta basically just shakes his finger like nuh-uh! dont do that! and then he flies off. Just let this mfer die already im sick of seeing his ass. FUCK I HATE IT SO MUCH GFGFFGFGFGF

Lastly this movie is legitimately Dragon Ball Fanservice The Movie. 

Gogeta vs Broly, which the games have been doing since fucking 2003, is the main point of this film. Theres no originality whatsoever. Minus is discount Father of Goku special, and then its a mashup of Broly LSSJ and Fusion Reborn (both of which are superior movies imo). This creatively banrkupt shell of a franchise cant think of anything new, so they legit remake an old movie, through in fusions because that sells like hotcakes, and make the animation pretty because thats all that matters.

Imo, this movie, like 99% of Super, is all flash and flair but no substance at all. At least this movie looked nice. unlike the show.

I got the chance to watch “Dragon Ball Super Broly” so this is my review for it.

“Dragon Ball Super Broly”

This movie man I tell you this movie was so freaking good, hands down the best Dragon ball movie I have ever seen imo. Everything about this movie was really good, The animation, the art, the voice acting everything was beautiful. They even did a fantastic job with the soundtrack. This movie starts off with having a freiza flashback to when he took over the Saiyan race. I really enjoyed this part because it added a lot more to the Dragon ball lore that was already there, it was extremely dope to see Bardock and Gine and how their relationship was. This Bardock is very very different from the Bardock from the original special that came out for years ago, he’s more loving and kind and we see how him and Gine sent Goku to Earth. Now on to Broly, Surprisingly enough Broly is the main character for this movie not Goku and Vegeta. This Broly is a lot more fleshed out and actually has Character compared to the original Broly. Hearing his back story it’s very good and I liked it a lot more than the previous back story he had where king Vegeta tried to kill him. Now when Freiza comes in contact with Broly and Paragus he pretty much uses them to get closer to Goku and Vegeta, when they arrive on earth he has Broly attack Vegeta. Now this fight right here was my absolute favorite fight in the whole entire movie, this fight was amazing man like the animation art everything was amazing, the choreography was phenomenal just a crazy good fight. Then it went to Goku vs Broly, This fight was good imo really good. While Goku is fight Broly you can tell he’s learning and adapting to it and he’s getting better it’s crazy. At one point Goku does a move on Broly and then a few seconds later Broly did the same move to him it was crazy. Now the last fight in the movie and the most anticipated was Gogeta vs Broly. Gogeta vs Broly was amazing the animation was super crazy and trippy at times, you can really tell that Toei went all out for this fight. And crazy enough even tho Goku and Vegeta were fussed together Broly was STILL able to keep up. There was one point in the movie where They had broke into a whole nother dimension. Now crazy enough Broly didn’t die at the end of this movie. shocker, but he was saved by the dragon balls and returned to his home planet. At the end of the movie Goku shows up on his planet offering to Train and spar with him. I love the way this movie ended.

Overall I would rate the movie a 9 out of 10 I would definitely go see this again such a great movie

Dragon Ball Super: Broly

IT’S REALLY FUCKING GOOD GO SEE IT

I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS

The first story segment felt more like Star Wars than like Dragon Ball, and I meant in a good way. It’s interesting to see people who aren’t QUITE so superhumanly powerful dealing with more ground-level threats.

Paragus is a stone-cold bitch. Straight up murdered that guy (Beets? Was he really just called Beets?) to conserve on supplies.

I’m glad that they addressed this as being like. An oddity for Bardock. He’s USUALLY a hardened Saiyan Warrior, so him going out of his way to be protective for once is weird, but sometimes people are weird. And that’s fine.

Gonna be real, I damn near cried at “Don’t forget us, Kakarot”. Like shit, u really gotta do it like that?

Now what’s REALLY weird is that when Frieza was dropping the Death Orb, Bardock’s armor was still all fukt up and he had a bunch of people behind him? So how’d that happen in the rectified timeline.

Nice that his final effort looked SLIGHTLY more valiant this time, rather than being comedically swallowed by Frieza’s attack.

The time skip forward was nice, and the sparring match between Goku and Vegeta was GORGEOUS. Like, just pulling out all the stops from the get-go.

I can’t believe Frieza has gone full Commander Red. Seriously dude. Have you sunk so low? I mean, it was hilarious, but STILL.

On a related note, Booberry has the biggest balls in the entire Frieza Force, holy shit.

Thank fucking GOD the vengeance boner is pointed squarely at VEGETA this time. It just makes more sense.

The Vengeance Boner belongs ENTIRELY to Paragus this time as well, which ALSO makes sense

Broly is a baby. baby boy. Like I know hes 41 but hes still my baby boy who i would die for. HE DOSNT EVEN KNO WHAT WATER IS

Paragus, regardless of canonicity, is a Bastard Hell Man. Rot Bitch.

I fucking love that there is like, a visible stylistic difference between Vegeta and Goku. Vegeta gets a lot of harder hits in on Broly, but Goku show a lot more skill in evasion, throws, and redirection of hits. Once they finally fuse, they’re skillsets are GORGEOUSLY merged, with parries following into devastating hits.

I also loved the fucking wrestling announcer-esque voiceover in the soundtrack.

Speaking of the OST, ALL OF IT WAS GREAT. THE WHOLE THING WAS FUCKIN AMAZING. DAMN SON.

They went HEAVY with the fakeout auras. I’m pretty sure both Goku’s and Vegeta’s turned green at some point, and Goku flashed white for a hard second to tease that good good Ultra Instinct. Glad they kept that one on the backburner tho.

Broly’s copycatting, though somewhat limited, makes him parallel with Goku even better.

Another really interesting note that I only realized while writing this: Paragus was killed to bring and more of Broly’s power. Fitting.

The way the fucking sicced Broly on Frieza was Fantastic. The fact that Frieza got his shit stomped for the better part of an hour (in-universe) is also Fantastic.

The fucking dimension break was REALLY weird, and though Gorgeous, I hope it gets elaborated on (perhaps in the anime version)

It was a VERY interesting choice to have both Gogeta Blue and Broly Full Beast Mode not get big transformation scenes. I would’ve expected either one to be a huge, show-stopping moment, but no, they just kinda happened while they were in Chaos Space.

What a fucking magnificent way to have tension in the climax. “Will the Good Guys beat the Bad Guys” doesn’t really sell too well, we already know the answer. But “Will the sideline character be able to save Broly’s ass before he gets brutally murdered by the ‘Good Guy’”? I DIDN’T FUCKIN KNOW! I was actually on the edge of my seat hoping for Broly to Survive, and when his pupils came back just before that Kamehameha I thought the twist was gonna be they restored his sanity just before Gogeta dealt the final blow.

Broly and Goku are fightin buddies! Yay!!!!!

I know why, metatextually, they had Goku say “call me Kakarot”, but from an in-character perspective it’s... interesting? Usually he’s pretty intent on people calling him is Earth Name, but maybe contact with more Saiyans has lead him to want to keep reminders of his Heritage a bit more.

The use of lighting and coloration throughout the film was AMAZING. One of the moments that stood out to me was when King Vegeta mentioned how Broly’s power could eventually drive him Insane, it cut over to a vividly green Stained Glass window, with Green of course representing the aura of the Legendary Super Saiyan form. I really want to watch this movie a few more times to do a more detailed analysis of color, but that’ll have to wait until it’s posted somewhere online released on DVD. I’m not MADE of money folks.

I can’t think of anything else to say at the moment but I’ll probably have more later.

Yo! Thanks for the ask anon! As for the question, well yea I'd say I gotta couple gripes with Super, tho I'll be talkin bout the anime only since the manga is a whole nother thing itself. P much everythin before the U6vsU7 arc wasn't all that great. A popular statement you'll hear a lot is "BOG/ROF were better in the movies" which I gotta agree with. Super had some pretty good moments in those arcs like Gotenks and Ginyu/Tagoma in ROF, Goku having more God form time, kid Vegeta with actual bangs and the first 5 minutes of ep1 but overall they weren't as enjoyable as the movies. Everythin beyond that is way better. Not perfect tho. But to be fair I wouldn't say any of DB is perfect, even if it is my most favorite series of all. A lotta people complain about Goku's character in Super is way too childish or naive and I can see why they say that, at points he does act a bit too dumb. Like never havin kissed or how he was in the BOG arc but other than that and some other moments, I don't think he's too far off. Admittedly tho, it is kinda hard to compare Super Goku to OG-Z Goku since those were written by Mr. Toriyama himself instead of multiple writers given a draft of what Mr. Toriyama gave for Super. Wow this is gunna be long aint it. Anyway Super had p bad pacing in the beginning too, the U6vsU7 arc was okay, GB was good in the beginnin but slowly began to pace too quick while the other main arcs had not too bad ones. The animation was horrendous in BOG an ROF, U6vsU7 was okay but the GB arc and forward was when the animation really started to get good. I saw a translated tweet by someone tho who said the studio at Toei wasn't in really good condition and weren't treated too well besides the occasional "do your best!" by a higher up employee. Which was why Broly looks so great, cuz they had a good and healthier workplace than regular Super did. Super also had some okay music, but not as good as Z. There's shinin moments where the music really pops out but for the most part it's not too memorable. I would talk about power-scalin but that's a can of worms I do NOT wanna open lmao. All I will say is that at this point, both Goku can definitely beat Beerus on a 1 on 1. Jiren isn't bad exactly, but he's very bland. Zamasu was good but I wish they coulda expanded upon his descent to madness. The Lesbiyains are great but I think we need more time with them to say they have great characters. The U6 warriors besides Cabba, Hit, and The Lesbiyains need way more uniqueness bout em (even tho I love Magetta). What was THAT in the ending to the GB arc. Most of the other univeres could have had good characters but they weren't too interestin besides a couple, but I'll let this nitpick slide since it's hard to make over 100 completely unique chars in sucha short time. The writin was mostly good imo in the U6vsU7 arc, the GB arc (for the most part), the TOP arc and the arc where Goku dies cuz of Hit arc but eveythin other than that was p lackluster. Thankfully those are the only arcs that really matter, besides the Hit arc. And lastly the lack of a serious threat did cause some lack of any real tension in the show. And that's pretty much all of my problems with Super, which is way too fuckin long. Yea it's gotta lotta probs but I'd still watch all of it over a LOT of things lol. I can't say for sure if I like it over Z/OG/GT. It's not exactly like I prefer any of them over each other, besides maybe over GT (which isn't as bad as everyone says to be tbh!). However! A very very VERY minor yet kinda big gripe I have with Super beyond the U6vsU7 arc, is that Goku and Vegeta didn't keep their new outfits!!! Like c'mon! Yall gave up cool new outfits for the sake of nostalgia!

They look great in these! These coulda been the standards for Super but Toei and possibly Toriyama himself chose to go back to Z's outfits. I love the old ones I do but why not use the super cool new ones?? I'd've love to see SSG Goku in this gī. Or Royal Blue Vegeta in this armor. Ah well. Anyways yup, Super isn't the best but neither is Z, OG or GT yet I still love em all the same. All of this is my own opinion of course!!! Unpopular Opinion

FighterZ is look great and all...but I’m seriously having worries about the roster.

80% of what we have is more or less altered stuff from Extreme Butoden.

Don’t get me wrong, I KNOW that it’s nowhere NEAR going to play EXACTLY like Ex. Butoden and that a fair amount of stuff will be changed around like how Ginyu has assists built into his moves with the Ginyu Force, and Yamcha and Tien are fully playable unlike in Ex. Butoden where they’re stuck to being boring throw-away assists. But then we have stuff like SSjBlue Goku/Vegeta playable. Aside from some different supers, I really don’t see how they are any different and why they couldn’t just be tied to transfomations on Goku and Vegeta themselves. They did that with Golden Freeza so why not SSjBlue? Also, is Nappa really needed? I mean, at least it’s not Radtiz then it’d REALLY feel like a waste of a slot, but idk. I just don’t see Nappa as that much needed and kinda out of place amongst the other characters.

I also just feel like the roster is lacking really big off-beat characters. Where’s Beerus and Whis? Caulifla and Kale? Where’s some movie representation? Tho please not just Broly for the five-millionth time, give me Gogeta, Janmeba, and Lord Slug instead, gimme Tapion. Hell, at LEAST let me see Android 21 in action to confirm my hopes that she’s a boss and at least playable.

The game is coming out in like two months and we’ve only just now gotten to the Buu Saga reps. Maybe I’m just used to a more larger roster with a much more diverse cast across ALL of Dragon Ball, but the characters thus far feel more like a really REALLY basic selection of pics from Z. The only other choices of note that AREN’T just Z thus far are SSJBlue Goku/Vegeta. Recolor characters, plus one that was already in Ex. Butoden (SSJBlue Goku) and I already wasn’t a fan of him in there.

I mean, don’t get me wrong, it still looks like it’ll be fun as all hell. (still better than everything Capcom’s been doing recently) I’m just kinda annoyed at the fact whenever we have a new series of Dragon Ball games we have to start ALL they way back from Basic Z picks before we can get some interesting choices in the next game or (what I’m half expecting sadly) DLC. It’s the same problem I had with the first Raging Blast and Burstlimit (even tho I did love Burstlimit, RB1, not so much)

Competitive or not, I just really don’t see the reason for it to not have a large roster. I mean, the likes of Tekken Tag 2, Tekken 6 and 7 have how many different characters?

[Do I have a favorite Vegeta moment? Canon wise? Uh. For badassery, his fight with 19. He finally became a Super Saiyan and obliterated that fucker. He worked hard for that moment and I was big proud of him...even if 20 minutes after he gets too cocky and gets his shit kicked in by 18 as is the Way of Vegeta. Plus it was his last decent sized win. I also really like when Goku trolls him on the lookout once he gets out of the time chamber. It's too funny.

Favorite like overall? Barring how Super kinda buries it and pretends it didn't happen and how fans misinterpret Buu Saga Vegeta entirely, I think overall favorite moment is him finally finally FINALLY conceding Goku is better than him at the end of the Buu Saga. That moment is him healing, him realizing he hadn't lived for himself or his own life as he obsessed over surpassing Goku, doing what Goku did to get stronger, instead of taking advantage of his freedom from Frieza and doing his own thing. It was supposed to be his moment of self-reckoning and actually moving forward with himself but...well, Super really likes to keep the obsessed with surpassing Goku thing alive. It's not as it could be, but they also continue to be wishy washy with Vegeta. But another convo that I'm sure I've rambled about before. Basically, i like this moment because it's him really healing for the first time and I love that. I disagree with the direction they go because I think that reckoning would bring about A LOT of shit that he never contended with and things he would question and want to change, but it's still a really great moment for him that I don't think gets talked about in the right way enough.

Least favorite. God can i just say 95% of the time he's on screen in Super? I'll pick something outside of Super, how about that? Hm...I'll keep the theme of character alone here. Going along with my favorite, I'll say Majin Vegeta because if you really dig in and think about it, for his character, it shows just how low and desperate he is. Is it badass and is the fight with Goku pretty badass? Sure. It was nice to see Vegeta be ruthless again to some degree. It was great to get to see him and Goku duke it out. However, there's always the looming OOF over the whole thing because a healthy Vegeta wouldn't have made that decision. A healthy Vegeta would have never allowed anyone to potentially control him, let alone give him a power boost. But he never healed from all his trauma, nor was he given space to, and his decision to do the Majin Vegeta thing shows it. Man was not happy or satisfied or content or anything else along those lines with his life and achieving his goals and it's honestly sad. So cool as the moment can be for shallow reasons, in depth, it's probably his saddest moment. And i guess that doesn't mean I dislike it, but looking at it from just as a character standpoint, that's his worst moment. Right up there with swearing off fighting after Cell. Hits hard.

Again sticking with the other response, I'll pick one that's more I hate it because it sucks. Trying to not pick from Super again uuuuh...God my first thought was letting Cell go perfect but I can't even hate that because it's so him 🤣🤣. Same reason why i can't hate getting his shit kicked in by 18; he deserved it. How is this one harder when the character was so shittily written lmao. I guess it's because so many of his moments I'm just like "welp that tracks" so I can't dislike it. I'll go with a Z movie. I hate how they wrote him in the Z Broly movie. Like I get he's feeling pretty down and out but damn. When has that stopped Vegeta? And I get this is saiyan legend coming to fruition and Broly is a monster but again I posit to you: when has that fucking stopped Vegeta? Man thought HE was the legendary Super Saiyan for a whole saga, you think he's gonna roll over and let someone ELSE take the title? Nah. Not today, Satan.
