This scene would have been too powerful if the showrunners left it as it was intended. We were so robbed :")
Still, this is HUGE. How much was Aemond supposed to regret Lucaerys' death at Storm's End, and how much of it did we just overinterpret?
Was what we saw on screen, during those last moments, even regret? Or was it more shock of the situation he'd created, and realisation of what's to come?
I love this. This is amazing and I won't be shutting up about this.
rewatching my vids… *explodes* here is the manch riff [at the start he was talking about a security guy at the airport thinking his hair was a wig so he wouldnt get recognised]
Aemond: cackling maniacally and taunting Lucerys on the back of godzilla-granny while he chases his nephew in a 0 visibility storm
Lucerys: dies
Aemond:
“Robert was the true steel. Stannis is pure iron, black and hard and strong, yes, but brittle, the way iron gets. He'll break before he bends. And Renly, that one, he's copper, bright and shiny, pretty to look at but not worth all that much at the end of the day.“ - Donal Noye, A Clash of Kings, Jon I
Donal Noye is wrong in his description of Stannis. Stannis is more like Valyrian Steel, he always has an edge to him where iron can dull or rust. Like iron Valyrian Steel does not bend, mere men cannot change how it is shaped.
I wonder 🤔... If the Egg Bosses ever got infected by the Metal Virus and so were cured, would the bombs/countermeasures from their cybernetics be deactivated/destroyed too? Or am I just wanting believe they had any chance of being free?
I swear to ward the Queen with all my strength, and give my blood for hers. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall guard her secrets, obey her commands, ride at her side, and defend her name and honor.
All hail Her Grace, Rhaenyra Targaryen , the rightful QUEEN of the Seven Kingdoms!
Directions to my local grippy-sock jail are pulled up on google maps. But my mom sent me a message saying she loves me. So I think I'll make it through the night
i really should not have started rereading fire and blood while watching hotd because now i do things like lie in bed in the morning before my alarm goes off thinking about how i am not going to survive a live-action adaptation of the battle of the gullet.
