I guess I’ve felt a bit off from the rest of the kääryleet the last few days and I am not liking it very much.
I want to be in agreement with you guys and get excited like you do ... it has just been a bit harder this weekend which sucks since there’s a new song and cool new MV theories and I am here like: slow down would you for the old man? (me)
this doesn’t make any sense possibly but I guess I’ll just say sorry for not being up to speed and for being a bit moody/unamused.

it’s time for the JOblr census results 🧡🙌
before we start i want to thank everyone who took their time to answer this silly little project, gathering responses from 203 baby boos!! it’s my first time doing this so hopefully i can bring some excitement with the results <3
so buckle up and let’s get into it
general questions
Which continent are you from?
Tumblr media
Unsurprisingly, the majority is European with a total of 80.8% but it’s amazing to see that they’ve crossed the continent’s border and we also have 9.9% people from North America, 3.9% from Australia & Oceania, 3.4% from Asia and 2% from South America. No person chose the Africa option.
Which country are you from? (optional)
With this being an optional question, 162 respondents out of 203 opted to answer it. Let’s take a look at the top countries by number of people in JOblr (small note: I counted the few people who wrote England or Scotland as part of the UK answer)
Drumrolls 🥁…..
Finland - 29
UK & USA - 15
Germany - 11
Poland - 9
Italy - 8
Australia - 7
Sweden - 6
Austria, Spain, The Netherlands - 5
Croatia, Slovenia - 4
Czechia, France, Romania - 3
Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Hungary, Lithuania, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Ukraine - 2
Bolivia, Brazil, China, Estonia, Greece, Iceland, India, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Russia, Switzerland - 1
How old are you?
Tumblr media
45.8% of us are between 18-25, following by 23.6% between 26-30, 18.2% between 31-45, 10.8% under 18 and two people who are over 45 years old.
Are you part of the LGBTQ+ community?
Remember when they said Joker Out are for the girls and gays? 🏳️‍🌈
Tumblr media
Well that was absolutely not wrong since 77.3% baby boos answered that yes they are part of the community, while 11.8% are questioning and 10.8% have answered no
tumblr activity questions
How do you participate on JOblr?
Tumblr media
a majority of 98 people are mostly reblogging posts in the fandom but sometimes making posts of their own, 38 are only reblogging while 36 lurkers have stepped out of the shadow and made themselves known. The least amount of people (31) said to be active posters
Do you post any of the following?
Tumblr media
It’s already known this fandom is mad talented and entertaining!! It’s always a joy seeing everyone’s creations and posts no matter the type. And the people who are only enjoying and supporting the content are just as important 🫶
Do you also post about Käärijä?
Since these two fandoms are basically overlapping, sometimes even seen as one fandom, I was curious just how much
Tumblr media
50.7% also post about Käärijä outside of Joker Out, while 35% don’t post about him at all (or perhaps very rarely). 14.3% are mainly coming from Käärijä’s fandom
joker out questions
How did you find out about Joker Out?
Tumblr media
Another unsurprising result, with 89.7% of us finding out about them through Eurovision. But it was really cool to see that there are people who discovered them differently. Ten people found out about them through Tumblr or other social media, to four they were recommended by someone and one through a music platform. The “other” option was chosen as well and included:
finding out about JO through Käärijä
through a music blog review
on slovenian radio
Who from the current members is your favorite?
One of the hardest questions but it had to be done
Tumblr media
So Tumblr’s top favorite members areee:
Bojan - 69 votes
Jan - 42 votes
Kris - 40 votes
Nace - 35 votes
Jure - 17 votes
Have you been to a Joker Out concert?
Tumblr media
I did not expect this one to be so balanced but I am pleasantly surprised! 104 people have been to a JO concert, while 99 haven’t. It often feels like you’re the only person who hasn’t seen them live yet but it’s nice to see that you’re not alone, so if anyone feels the same don’t worry our time will come too 🥹
If you answered yes, have you seen them multiple times?
Tumblr media
Out of the 104 people who previously answered yes, there’s still a balance between those who have been to only one concert and those who have been to multiple
If you’re into RPF, which one of the most popular ships (according to AO3) is your favorite?
Another optional question where 181 out of 203 opted to respond to.
Oh boy, ooooh boy this was a tough battle. It felt like I was watching a horse race. I can tell you that all three ships have been at some point in the first place, or even equal. Are you ready to see the most interesting result yet?
Drumrolls again 🥁…….
Tumblr media
BoJere - 58 votes
BoKris - 57 votes
Jance - 56 votes
The “other” option was also chosen and the following ships were included:
BoMartin
Jan/Jure
Kris/Jure
Nace/Kris
Nace/Jere
poly!JO
aaaand that’s it, you made it to the end 🫶 hope you enjoyed and why not see you on the next census!!

Found the seller online who sells these Käärijä earrings, which Käärijä himself wore through the whole Eurovision competition. She’s called Päivi Aronen. She accepts email orders anywhere in the world (just got a confirmation from her). She accepts payments via Paypal.
Nickel free silver earrings made from wood.
If you want a pair, send email to solja76[a]gmail.com Finnish people can order the earrings from Tori (username Puusormi). Link is in the comment section.

Just a thought after a hard day:
I feel like Käärijä would be the best person to be silly and goofy around, but also to have deep conversations at 2 am about life and the struggles of the past.
I feel like he would be able to cheer you up in an instant just by being there, and the language barrier would be no problem at all.
We're used to see him playing around and being the "funny guy" (and I love him for that) but I feel like there's much, much more behind those blue eyes and I love how he's not afraid to express who he is.
I'm so grateful to have found out about him and his music through Eurovision and it's incredible how music really unites thoughts, feelings and experiences without needing to speak the same language (I'm Italian, I don't speak a word of Finnish, but I still connect so deeply with his lyrics).
Getting emotional now. I just needed to express how amazing of a person I think Käärijä is 💚

What a year, huh? We all know I have to be emotional on tumblr.com whenever the opportunity arises because that's one way I allow myself to have an emotional catharsis (for legal reasons this a joke)
In all seriousness though, this year has been a lot for me. Both in a good and bad sense, but Käärijä and Joker Out improved it significantly. And more importantly, their fandoms. (More inder the cut bc this is long af)
I have never really been someone who knows anything about the artists' whose music I listened to. Before this, I don't think I ever listened to a full album of someone, just random songs that I liked. Finding stuff from personal life of bands/musicians I liked usually made me depressed so I didn't bother.
Then, ESC 2023. happened. I frankly have no idea what flipped the switch in my head. Bojere interactions? The way people on tumblr were so welcoming even back when I was mostly posting about Let 3 and Käärijä only? I don't know, I only know that we are here now, regardless.
Another thing about me is that I used to be very pessimistic person. Likez genuinely. I have been "unofficially"(long story) diagnosed with depression and anxiety since I was 11, which is over a decade now. I always had a lot of bad experiences with people and really awful trust issues. I have been doing better for some time now, but it is very hard to let go of the feeling of pessimism and helplessness. In a world where awful things happen every second, what can I possibly do that would change anything?
Then ESC happened. Käärijä lost and I thought "another injustice that will never be corrected". Except, instead of feeling defeated, everyone just loved him more. In those weeks after and later on months, all I have seen had been unrelenting love and acceptance of Jere. Reminding him that despite not winning Eurovision, he is our winner and we'll forever think of him as such. Jere who has a wonderfully belly and strong thighs and is short and by no means is he conventional in any sense. And people loved him not despite all that but because all that. Because we all found ways to relate to him, or to what he went through.
His story of almost dying and still getting where he did only served to highlight that more. Because of he did it, why can't we get to what we want? Why can't I? It shifted my whole perspective.
Then, Joker Out. It is so, so funny to me how I barely paid any attention to them during ESC, except for bojere interactions and was dragged in it by the shared fandom, when now I post most about them.
But yes, JO. A band from Slovenia that while tehnically isn't Balkan, felt so close to me. Like they could understand all the things I kept to myself because of where I was. And then they showed me there is still hope.
I have never seen a band from around here take a pride flag on the stage. Never. I know it's a thing, especially abroad, but God I have never seen that happen here. And with how much love they always took it! That's...wow. It gave me hope that not only is it possible for injustices to be corrected, but that ot's possible to do it even in the environment I'm in.
And then...the Virtual Letters Project happened. Or well positive confessions that @spockowhales turned into Virtual Letters Project.
That's when I knew it's truly possible. I have seen tumblr posts, yes. But getting stuff so directly addressed about or to JO made me realize how much of a "wave" they all created. So many people said they helped them with their depression, with viewing their world differentky with meeting new peoplez with daring to do something new.
I have no words to describe how much that meant to me and I really hope that when they read those letters, they understood the impact they had.
But even that aside, I want to thank everyone in this fandom. People I have talked to, people I have interacted with it any way, through replies, reblogs, likes, anon asks. I appreciate every single one of you for helping create such a wonderful space. We had our ups and downs in the fandom, but we are all here because we love these fandoms, these people so much to keep talking about it even months after.
Thank you and I wish everyone here a wonderful New Year with even more laugh, love and positivity ❤️ have a good one

on christmas day i saw what you guys wrote on my christmas tree decorations and it got me so emotional and then i saw everyone else also getting sappy and writing something and so i started writing this back then but the post got too long and i was tired so instead i decided to finish this later and post it today on new year’s eve!
from telling my friend at the beginning of the year that i could never imagine myself going to see an artist multiple times in a short amount of time to literally seeing joker out twice in three days in september, this year has been full of unexpected events. finland almost won esc??? i found a new favorite band and traveled all the way to prague to see them??? i’ve found myself in some situations this year that i could’ve never imagined possible and it’s all thanks to this green rapper from finland and five slovenian guys in an indie rock band
i also want to say thank you to all of you. all of the people i’ve gotten to know in this fandom have been so nice! when i bought my tickets to the nordic tour, i didn’t have any friends in the fandom. but then i started using tumblr again and honestly you guys are the sweetest people ever and i feel so lucky to have you in my life 🩷 and not to forget all the friends i’ve made while queueing for the gigs (also the ones not on tumblr)! i couldn’t have asked for a better company for any of the gigs i’ve been to 🩷 i also hope that i’ll get to meet as many of you as i can next year!
this is getting long so i’m gonna ramble some more under a read more and sum up my year. have a safe new year everyone 🩷
i don’t remember much from the beginning of the year. i was heartbroken and after being a fan of esc for like 10 years i felt like i could never ever enjoy esc again (dramatic, i know). i did check the umk contestants when they were announced but didn’t really dig further into it. but it all changed when i woke up on the morning of january 18th and saw literally everyone talking about this green guy named käärijä and the song cha cha cha. of course that also made me check kuumaa’s song when it got released the next day and i immediately fell in love with ylivoimainen. even though ylivoimainen was my number one fave umk song this year, i do remember telling my friends that ccc is our only choice if we want to win eurovision.
in march i was going to my first käärijä gig. it was a esc themed student party and they had a esc song quiz before and we got to the finals but the other group was faster so we ended up second 🥲 for the concert we did end up in the front row (with less than an hour of queueing and we had time to actually sit down at a table before the gig??) but i ended up giving my spot to a nice fan because i could see from behind my friends just fine and i wasn’t really there for käärijä 😅
april 7th 2023. my 25th birthday. käärijä's first pre-party and so the first pre-party i followed this year. the day bojan and käärijä met. the next day i was watching the livestream of the concert and patiently waiting for käärijä's performance (jodelissa kaarinan lapsuuskuvat nevö foget <3) and that's also when my joker out brainrot actually began. it followed me all the way through esc and made me buy a ticket to the nordic tour and i feel like the rest is history so i'm just gonna do a quick recap
i joined tumblr again in july after getting tired of only using jodel. i had a busy summer at work but did go to one käärijä gig but other than that i feel like nothing else really happened until the nordic tour.
then the nordic tour came around and i just had the best time. i’ve already written gig reports from these so i’m not gonna go into detail but i got good spots both at tavastia and olympia, i talked to so many nice people and i sang umazane misli at tavastia. the most surreal moment though was when i found myself singing in a karaoke bar in tampere after the gig and i see the same people who i’d just watched perform singing along to me
after the nordic tour i really wanted to go see them again and so i booked tickets to prague and even though the queue was a mess and honestly i’m not gonna lie and say that i’m not still salty about it, but other than that i had such a good time! hanging out with my dear mutuals, seeing both lps and joker out and finally hearing the songs we hadn’t heard at the nordic tour and seeing the new outfits! i also got to hug both jan and bojan 🩷
i got to end my year of concerts the way i started it, by going to a käärijä gig, but this time it felt so much different compared to the one in march. i actually knew other songs than ccc this time 😅
personally 2023 was a year of growth and healing for me and i hope to have as much fun next year as i had this year. i have so much planned for next year, umk in february, joker out in march in helsinki and maybe somewhere else too so see you there 🩷

10 Eurovision 2023 Songs as...Taylor Swift Albums?
Yes. You heard that right. It was just a silly little idea that came into my head as we say goodbye to the 2023 songs (or not since a lot of them have found homes on our playlists!) and get ready for the 2024 season. It's still early (no songs, and only 2 artists have been announced), so if I do it now, it won't interfere with all the 2024 content we will be prepping for come the new year! So, I've picked 10 songs from the 2023 list and assigned them to a Taylor Swift album (solely based on my opinion, and I just choose the songs without thinking of my personal ranking).
Debut: So...the first album...the hardest one for me to come up with one for. But then, I thought that "What They Say" by Victor Vernicos from Greece kinda fits the bill. Aside from both Taylor and Victor being 16 when they released their respective pieces, "What They Say" gives me some minor "Tied Together With A Smile" vibes, which match the first album rather well.
Fearless: With a song like "Mr. Perfectly Fine" being such a sassy breakup song, I feel that the United Kingdom fits the Fearless bill here. "I Wrote A Song" by Mae Muller would fit onto Fearless perfectly. With the lyrical clapbacks (that could also work on Speak Now), it fits on an album with songs like "Mr. Perfectly Fine" or even the confessional NOT breakup song that is "You Belong With Me"
Speak Now: Speak Now is probably as close as Taylor has gotten to a rock album. With songs like "Better Than Revenge", "Haunted", and even the recently freed from the vault "Electric Touch" have these rock elements...kinda like how "Promise" by Voyager from Australia has those elements too...plus it's one of my mom's winners with her favorite Taylor album.*also taking this moment to wish Danny a speedy recovery!*
Red: I've thought of a couple of songs that would match this album. As Eurovision has as many heartbreak songs as they do love songs. And what's better than Cyprus' "Break A Broken Heart" by Andrew Lambrou for the heartbreak album? I mean, it just works! Right?
1989: I spent some time thinking about this one with it being my favorite Taylor album. And while I almost picked Finland's song, I decided to go for Käärijä's friends over in Slovenia. Joker Out's "Carpe Diem" is fun. It's parties with friends. It's perfect for big cities. What else is those? 1989.
reputation: For this one, it was probably the one that inspired this blog. I chose Serbia's "Samo Mi Se Spava" by Luke Black for reputation. Aside from the specific animal imagery that both the album and the song have (the lobster for the song and snakes for the album), the electro elements are similar to me. Plus, I've called "Samo Mi Se Spava" by villain song and people say you go into your "reputation Era" when you're in your villain era.
Lover: This one was another easy pick. Armenia's entry has the album title in the name! Brunette's "Future Lover" fits the overall theme the Lover album has of...well...love! It also qualifies because a song for your future lover can 100% count....I've written a piece to mine in my vault!
folklore: It's no Eurovision 2023 post without me mentioning Latvia's "Aijā" by Sudden Lights. While the soft rock elements would be better suited for something like Speak Now or Red, I chose folklore for one reason and one reason only. folklore is my favorite album to write to. Sudden Lights has three albums of songs, plus Aijā, plus a couple of post-Eurovision releases that are literally perfect writing music. I've tried it, and their album "Miljards vasaru" ranks up there as a favorite writing album.
evermore: Yeah...I've thought it through. And Moldova's "Soarele Si Luna" by Pasha Parfeni just gives me evermore vibes. Plus, it's kinda cool that I put my winner and my sister's winner as the sister albums. It's just cute.
Midnights: This is gonna sound like a bad joke but hear me out, The Netherlands' "Burning Daylight" by Mia and Dion would fit on Midnights. It sounds and feels reflective, which matches the theme that Midnights was trying to portray. And yeah...the title works too...
So, that's only 10 songs. If a favorite of yours didn't make it, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to assess it! In fact, I'd be willing to do a song not from 2023 if you're dying to know about one of those!

Thought it’d be fun reading through the unpopular opinions asks but damn the stuff you & other people said about fans on twitter was so nasty & unnecessary. I agree with the point about fandom hierarchies being cringe, but the other stuff just makes you sound bitter. Jere is an almost 30 year old man, he can & has refused to take photos with people. He posted about this walk thing on his story so it’s hardly like these fans were stalking him by attending a public event that hundreds of other people also went to. If i remember correctly some of the same fans went to the Eurovision cruise merch booth to buy something & Jere just happened to be there, when he found out they weren’t going to the gig he asked to take photos with them. He also seems to respond to & repost their IG stories fairly regularly, not to mention the way he interacts with them at his gigs, which apart from the one joke about the front row are all positive. If he really hated these people would he really be interacting with them in the ways that he does? You’re really shitting on them for going to too many gigs? Or being passionate enough to line up to get front row (which others could do if they wanted)? Also there’s no way we’d have the amount of A+ Käärijä gig content we do if it wasn’t for these people.  For someone that seems to know Jere’s inner most thoughts how do you think he’d feel about people saying this cruel shit, & anonymously too, considering him doing something similar one time was a mental health wake up call for him. Hope if feels good to give a reality check to people making the most out of their summer & supporting an artist that brings them happiness. Sure some of the stuff they do/post is a bit too parasocial but I haven’t seen them do anything that would warrant this kind of mean ass shit, especially as some of the people you’re talking about are minors and you’re 24 years old.
I’m not reading that lmao, thank you for messaging me after I have literally not mentioned it the whole day ❤️ I just simply don’t care, please next time tell them to send you while it’s still a topic, bye ❤️

Tumblr media
Dni List:
Lgtqia+-phobe. Seriously. Go away.
anti-fiction/otherkin. I'm otherkin, so piss off.
Anti-recovery. let us be happy. get help. /gen
Rad-inclus/exclus.
Ableist, sanist, racist, ageist. I'll admit, i have internalized sanism, but i never react on it and am trying to get rid of it. don't be a shithead.
Pro-life. it's okay if you want to argue with me about this. as long as you try to help me keep it civil and see my side of it.
Fascist. i am a socialist, kiss my tits about it.
Nft-bro. go fuck yourself lmao.
Porn blog. this includes kinks, and other suggestive things. I am a minor, and while kink is completely chill, i feel uncomfortable with such things.
Non-traumagenic/supporters. i know systems, and i don't want to make them uncomfortable. i choose not to take a stance on non-traumagenic systems, seeing as i am a singlet and don't know as much about OSDDID as others do.
Trigger warnings:
I use Queer completely untagged. it isn't a slur; it's been completely reclaimed by the lgbtq community.
I am a casual member of the Dream SMP community, and i absolutely understand if you have had bad interactions with the fandom, but if you feel comfortable enough giving me a chance i hope you'll feel safe here. the dream smp had been a big part of my recovery from depression, and they mean a lot to me.
i rarely forget to tag things like gore, but it happens, so be careful.
i will talk about past trauma on here, and it might trigger you, so block the tag Blue Is Feeling Blue to be safe.
Tumblr media
that's kind of it! I'm going to update this from time to time, and this took longer than i expected, so there's definitely some errors here and there. but i hope this gives an insight to what i post/reblog here! have a great day :D

June 6 2023 Okay, this is sort of a collab between this blog and my mainblog so no sign limits today.
Today’s headline is: Trans joy, gender euphoria and hyping up your fellow trans tumblr user through your tags
I feel like it is a somewhat well-known fact that rambling in the tags of a reblogged post is more than welcome. Heck I do it all the time, half because I cannot keep my mouth shut and half because I know how happy these tags can make me myself when getting the notifications. And it is the latter I will focus on here because you guys have no idea how much your tags have meant to me recently.
On June 15 I took a gamble by posting some pictures of me trying out outfits that reminded me of my Eurovision babies (Käärijä and Bojan). I’d felt amazing about quite a few of the pictures and seeing how well they were received by you guys made me want to share even more of my face and then started a spiral. A good spiral for once.
Since then I’ve found myself sharing more and more pictures, videos and silly thoughts from my daily life on my mainblog and reading your replies and tags in the reblogs have filled this trans masc heart with so much trans joy it has heighten whatever gender euphoria I felt at the moment.
So I want to showcase all those wonderful reblog tags I’ve gotten the past four weeks (and a few compliments in my ask box for my diary blog) to show you all what trans joy/gender euphoria can look like: sometimes it is something as simple as being hyped up by your fellow tumblr users. Thank you all so much <3
Tumblr media
I never know how to respond to reblogs with tags like this because believe me I want to let you know I appreciate it more than you might know – so hopefully this will suffice <3
June 15 - Dressing room selfies
Tumblr media Tumblr media
June 23 - Singing Cha Cha Cha

June 25 - Käärijä song

July 4 - Cutting my hair pt 2

Thank you for cheering me on and for letting me share not only the troublesome trans experience but also the moments of trans joy. Micah out <3

i stopped rlly paying attention to käärijä a while ago but still followed that tag
which is how i found how that the dude was at eurovision and dancing with the israeli entry
and i found that out from a post trying to defend him because he's naive and doesn't know better
babes, he's a grown ass man, i think you can't just defend him like he's a baby
anyway, looking through the tag my fav shitty defence for his is that he probably doesn't even know the definition for genocide

Screaming right now 💚
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Can I say that this man is an absolute sweetheart? I was NOT expecting him to see my insta story, I tagged him in it because I said to myself "worth a shot", but I wasn't expecting someone as famous as Käärijä to take the time to see my story with his song and liking it. This definitely made my day 💚
He treats all his fans from all over the world (I'm not Finnish) with care and respect, even taking the time to see their stories and liking them. I'm so happy to have found out about him and his music through Eurovision 💚
Ps: definitely boyfriend material
