OH BOY.

At first, Yuri fucking hated Niram. The feeling was mutual, as Niram thought of Yuri as a stupid, uncivilized jerk and Yuri thought Niram was a stuffy intellectual. Yuri actually punched Niram at first when the drow insulted him (amazing art by @owlpellet )

Niram had paired off with another character at first who served as his boyfriend protector, but when that character was suddenly blasted off to the moon (the person had to leave game), Niram was suddenly alone.

It started slow at first, the two bonded over shared trauma and Yuri realized Niram wasn't some unfeeling dickhead with privilege, he was a literal experiment (slave), while Niram realized Yuri was smart and capable, just traumatized. After a while, they became boyfriends, and it's been them lovey dovey ever since!

As for Yuris arm tattoos -- he's pretty much reclaimed those, as they were marks of success, not a brand displaying his allegiance to an abusive ass. That's his reasoning for keeping them. They're his, not Ismo's.

And god yes does he have insecurities. Hes the only one of his friends that doesn't naturally have powers, his is gifted by a patron. He feels stupid and useless despite being skilled. He blames himself for his parents dying even though he was seven years old. Even though they're resurrected, he still blames himself and wonders if they feel the same. So much trauma and insecurity in one boy...
