"Under My Umbrella" Sebastian X Y/N (AFAB)

hey yall so this is out of the ordinary (sorry tf2 fans) but I wanted to write a little fic for my beloved cousin @nerdiifan ! I love her very much and this is a tribute to her (and mine) fav stardew character <33 I would really love to branch out and create more fics about other fandoms so pls tell me if you'd love more.

Around 9:30 in the evening, the rain stopped pouring down from the sky. As a result, Y/N's crops were left covered in a layer of dew, and the soil was left damp. Slowly opening the door, she couldn't resist the urge to gaze outside and appreciate the stunning beauty of the moon. Its bright and radiant light illuminated the surroundings, creating a peaceful ambiance that was soothing to the soul. It was a moment worth cherishing. With each step she took, the floorboards creaked. She stepped her foot onto the dirt, her shoes sinking in slightly. As Y/N strolled through the town, the gentle hum of the street lamp and the rhythmic "sploosh" of her feet splashing through puddles provided an audible company to her walk. She soon found herself walking over to the dock, Y/N had always loved it for the peaceful sounds of the waves, she knew it was the best way to experience a full moon. Walking into the entrance of the beach she smelled something, the scent of nicotine. "Someone else is out here at this time...?" pondering to herself for a moment.

As she strolled along the sandy shore, her attention was abruptly drawn to a distant figure. Her eyes adjusted to find a familiar man smoking, his face being shown by the glow of his cigarette.

Sebastian.

Her heart fluttered, her stomach was in knots and nervousness took hold of her. Y/N had always prayed for this day to come but she never thought her prayers would be answered. Anxiety struck caused by thoughts of embarrassing herself or being obnoxious.

"This is your chance, Y/N! You've been waiting for this day ever since he introduced himself. You can't back out now, you just can't!" She felt sick. "You can do this, Y/N! Don't be afraid to take a chance!" "He probably won't mind either way." "It's not a big deal, just go for it!" As she approached him, her mind stated a firm rule. "Don't. Screw. It. Up."

Y/N was behind Sebastian's shoulder "H-Hi Sebastian." With her face turning red, she asked, "Why are you out here so late?" Sebastian remained silent for a few seconds before asking, "Why are you out so late?" puffing the smoke from his cigarette and looking over at her. Y/N was taken aback. "W-well. Uhm...I always enjoyed this type of weather and the moon is full. I wanted to enjoy it before I couldn't." Sebastian's face broke into a small grin, the kind that appears when you're appreciating something.

"Nice." Y/N broke into a smile. They both faced the sky and listened to the waves crash against the dock.

"But you didn't answer my question," Y/N said. "Why are you here?" Sebastian maintained his silence, taking the final draw from his cigarette before putting it out and crushing it beneath his foot on the ground. "Smoke break." He said softly. "Mom doesn't like the smell and she doesn't want it in the house." "But why so late?"

"I like the weather. Makes everyone disappear." Y/N stayed quiet. Although he provided an answer, she remained dissatisfied and longed for deeper engagement with him. She had an intense craving to genuinely understand him. "Disappear? So you're..more reserved to yourself?" "You can say that, I guess. I just don't like the engagement." Before Y/N could respond he continued his rant "Needless conversations, repetitive talk it's all numbing.. that's why I spend most of my time with only Sam and Abigail. Everyone can just be so..overwhelming." She faced Sebastian "I understand that. That's why I spend so much time alone on my farm." Sebastian's demeanor warmed up as he felt a connection with Y/N. His facial expression softened and his eyes looked at her empathetically. "We must have a lot in common."

Y/N felt accomplished. Finally, the conversation is moved beyond just small talk. "Well..I would love to know more sometime. If that's okay..you know with the 'Don't like engagement' thing." As Sebastian gazed at her, he let out a gentle chuckle. "there can be exceptions."

As Y/N opened her mouth to speak, a drop of water rolled down her cheek followed by several others, dripping onto her hair. She gazed up at the dark, thundering clouds above. As the rain began to pour heavily, Y/N couldn't help but feel anxious. "Oh no," she uttered, placing her hands on her head. "It's probably best that I head back home."

And then...It stopped. Although the rain didn't continue to pour onto her she still heard it surround her. She opened her eyes and looked back at Sebastian who was holding an umbrella over the both of them. His smile was sweet and his eyes reassured comfort and safety. The way he looked at her was comforting, like a cozy blanket shielding her from the cold.

"I can walk you back."

I am filled with immense joy im so happy you asked.

So!!! If you like viddy games, especially first person shooters- you can easily download the game off of steam for absolutely free. The matchmaking isn't entirely intuitive, and the game is full of destructive aim-bots making it hard to get new people into the game, but it's worth it :3. I'm more than happy to play the game with you if you'd like, i can show you around and tell you what servers to avoid etc etc.

If you don't like playing viddy games or shooters or simply aren't interested- there are tons of fun official content letting you get to know the characters and plot! A lot of tf2 fans dont even play the game lol.

There's a meet-the-team series that consists of short videos about every single playable character (and one extra) and they are so fun and also cinematic masterpieces. There's also a few fun promotional videos like Expiration Date that's a story driven short that everyone should watch because its just sooo much fun. And a few trailers that are great like the Mann vs Machine trailer that's just very badass and cool and has sick music.

There are official COMICS!!!! and they're DELIGHTFUL! There's a main comic series that unfortunately never got finished and ends on a cliffhanger, but i reccomend it with all my heart. Of course there are some side comics that are just as great and let you get to know the characters even better.

If you do get into tf2- tell me EVERYTHING!! tell me what you think and tell me your favourite characters pleasepleasepleaseplease it will make me so happy i will die. And i will forever talk to you about my blorbos because i actually cannot shut up ever.

I mean, the most popular ship out there in the TF2 Freak fandom is CBS x CPS / CBS x Gentlespy.

But, I'm not big fan of those two ships (But i's ok)... And I'm pretty sure some people do ship other freaks that aren't just these three lmao (/looks at my mutuals like "6 6").

My Waifu is Trash Day 6: Tracer (Overwatch)

As a huge Overwatch fan, I’m really excited to knock the series mascot off my waifu wheel. Tracer was my main for the first 25 hours of my Overwatch experience and I literally played ONLY Tracer for those 25 hours. Since then, I’ve been into other heroes, like D.Va, McCree or Mercy, but Tracer is still a fun hero to play and an attention grabbing hero for all the ads. But should we call her Tracer or Trasher? Let’s dig in.

I wish I had Tracer’s powers when talking about Tracer. I wish I could turn back time to when she was a character that really inspired awe in me. I wish I could go back to before Overwatch was released, to that original trailer at blizzcon that I watched live and relive the moment when Reaper was trying to steal the Doomfist Gauntlet and Tracer teleports in spouting her big memorable lines like “Cheers love, the cavalry’s here” or “The world could always use more heroes!”

Unfortunately, I don’t have Tracers powers, so if you haven’t been a fan since before beta, I’ll have to tell you a little secret: Tracer is a let down. They pumped her up and kept pumping with a new cinematic featuring Tracer and Widowmaker that was jawdropping, but in the end, they pumped her up until she exploded and ended up like torn bits of a balloon scattered across the ground: a bit of showbutt here and a bit of controversy there.

Currently, I’d say 9/10ths of what I think about when I think of Tracer is her butt. Her old controversial butt pose really got annoying to hear about every time people brought up Overwatch on youtube and the giant crevasse in the behind of her suit still doesn’t help… But can I be real with you for a second?

A ton of Overwatch heroes have crazy butts.

Somehow, even though quite a few well known heroes have accentuated behinds, most of the internet memes about Genji, D.Va or Widow are stereotypes about their mains (”I need healing!” “widow pls switch”) or about how D.Va is a little chibi gamer.

Let’s look at widow specifically since I think she makes the best comparison to Tracer: they both had feature roles in cinematics before the release of the game and they both have ridiculous cracks. The original Overwatch cinematics showed Widowmaker as agile, smart, and cool. Not only could she spiderman across buildings, but she could outwit tracer, kill her mark, and escape. A year later, we have Sombra’s Cinematic where she shows off her wallhacking skills and where she nearly kills her target despite Sombra’s deception.

A real testament to how Widowmaker lives up to her hype is that an entire character’s design was used to show her sniping skills. The elder sniper, Ana, who’s talents are legendary among Overwatch’s veterans wears an eyepatch because Widowmaker’s resolve beat her own. What does tracer have? More skins than TF2 has hats.

C’mon Blizzard. If you’re gonna make a character who you hype up in cinematics, stick in your MOBA, and dedicate plenty of skins, at least continue her development as a powerful character that’s worthy of the hype in the first place! A little bit of backstory is “nice” with the comic story that revealed she’s a lesbian, but we want to see her use her skills in a way that really sells us on her character. So far all we have is that Sombra hacked her technology to make a teleporter and we know that she participated in Uprising. We didn’t really get anything interesting out of uprising other than yet another skin.

Until we get some substantial update to Tracer’s story that fulfills the hype built during Overwatch’s release,
