A/N: eee ! Okay so this took me a minute because my motivation flip flipped a lot but it was fun! this fic is kinda mostly angsty fighting but it's also soft and a little sweet! I did not touch on the powers much at all in this honestly I wasn't sure how to include it so it's kinda thrown in at the end, sorry about that. I hope you enjoy this either way though !!

Warnings: arguing, fighting, slight-betrayal ? lying, etc. but all of it comes to a positive/happy conclusion and forgiveness. self esteem is kinda touched in this just because it's luther and I might have added it and let me know if anything else!!

"I have to tell you something."

Luther looks up from the dining table, his plate of food in front of him. His fork dangling loosely from his hand and his eyes so full of love and trust that it shatters your heart.

"What's going on? You alright?" Luther asks, squinting up at you. You start to fidget with your hands.

You knew this day would come. You knew that eventually the Handler would come back to business and reach for what she wanted. Lila was her way of doing that. She realized either your part in this was unimportant or she realized you'd tell her no in the end, but either way Lila is involved, and Five's about to come back to this decade, and you know that now is the time you have to tell him or else… You might never be able to. Or it might hurt worse.

"I don't know how to say this, I don't know-" You sigh and sit at the table in front of him, your head in your hands. You feel tears come to your eyes. Luthers silent for a minute.

"Are you… Is this a break-up?"

You look up at him with unshed tears and laugh bitterly.

"I hope not." You say, but all It does is make him look more confused.

"Y/N, what's going on?" Luther asks, putting his fork down and trying to meet your eyes. You look away from him and take a deep breath.

"I lied to you."

Luther looks at you for a minute, confused. His looks slowly morphs from confusion to concern and anxiety. He reaches across the table to gently put his hand on yours.

"I bet it's not as bad as you think, I mean-"

"Yes, it is!" You say, moving your hand from under his and standing up, pacing for a minute. Luther flinches a bit, his eyebrows furrowing. He's never seen you like this, so high-strung. Even when in the past in your small fights you've had it's never been like this.

"What, it's not like you have some secret family." Luther jokes, trying to lighten the mood. You look at him, unblinking for a second and his face drops, going a bit pale. "Oh."

You hurry to explain, trying to make this sound less bad than it does, but also knowing the explanation might make it worse.

"No, no! It's not like that-"

"Are you cheating on me?" Luther asks, his voice rising a bit. He tries to keep his cool but when the partner he's had for over two years now is hinting at the fact they've been keeping something, especially something as big as a secret family, from him… He can't hold that in forever. "Y/N."

"No, okay! I'm not- Ugh." You sit down in the seat across from him again and look down at the table. "My mother… She runs the commission."

Luther stares at you for a minute, his mind blanking before bringing back old conversations with Five.

"You- Your mother leads the time police?" Luther says, not knowing how else to describe the commission. Five's talks can only stick so much in his brain considering how… Advanced some of it can be. So other-worldly its hard to grasp it, but here's his partner telling him they're a part of it?

"Yeah." You say, shaking your head. Any other time you'd laugh at him calling them the time police but right now… You feel a sense of dread fill in your chest. "She… Sent me here."

Luther looks at you for a few seconds before looking away. He gets up and sniffs, obviously emotional but not letting it out. He steps away and walks over to the sink, avoiding your eyes.

"I'm your mission?" Luther asks, gripping the sides of the counter. You can tell he's emotional because his voice is deeper than usual, quieter. You know what that means, the sadness and anger that's buried within him that he rarely lets out.

"I- Luther, you're more than that-"

"Am I your mission?" Luther asks again, his voice rising.

"Yes. I was- I was supposed to get close to you. So that I could get into the family and-" You sigh, crossing your arms and looking down. "I couldn't do it anymore."

"… So it was your job to love me?"

You look up at him and see that he has deflated, his shoulders low and his head bowed. He's now fidgeting with his black gloves, probably with the string on it that's loose that neither of you have gotten around to cutting off yet. It breaks your heart.

"It was but-"

"Was any of it real?" Luther asks, his voice cracking. You walk around the table and stand behind him. You bring your hand up to his shoulder and gently run it down his arm. You feel that he's shaking a bit like he's scared of your answer.

"Of course it was. Luther, I love you. That's why I'm telling you this because I- I fell in love with you and I can't keep deceiving you like this." You say, moving to his side. You try to grab his hand and to catch his eyes but he's avoiding you. "You're more than a mission to me."

Luther looks up at you and you see the unshed tears.

"I love you too," Luther says, and you can tell he means it. He takes your hand and shakes his head. “More than anything.”

“I know that this is… A big lie. I know that it’ll probably be hard to trust me now, but I want this to work. She wanted me to get close to you so I could infiltrate the family. So that when it came down to it and she needed me to do something I’d already be here to do it but I… I know that I wouldn’t be able to bring myself to hurt you like that.” You explain, bringing your hand up and running your thumb over his cheek to wipe away a run-away tear.

“Why is she trying to do this? I- I don’t understand. What is so wrong about us just existing?” Luther says, frustrated.

“You screwed up time. You aren’t supposed to be here. All of you, you jumped through time and messed it up and now my mother is tired of it. She wants the timeline restored to how it should be.” You explain, sighing. You lean against the counter and shake your head. “I used to agree with her. I used to agree that time shouldn’t be messed with but then you…”

“I what?”

“You made me fall in love. With you. With life. You made me fall in love with love. I… Maybe my mom's right. Maybe the timeline shouldn’t be messed with! Maybe we should just get rid of you all before more bad can happen, but screw that and screw her because I love you and maybe that makes me selfish but I don’t care.”

Luther pulls you into a hug and kisses the top of your head. His arms are tight around you but not too much so. It’s what youve always loved about his hug. He’s conscious about is strength so he never hugs you too tight but its always just tight enough to feel safe. He takes a deep breath and lets it out.

“Thank you for telling me.” Luther says before pulling back and tilting your head to look into your eyes. “Let’s figure this out, okay? Together. Whatever you need. Whatever happens next, and I mean whatever happens, I’m here, okay?”

You nod and hug him again, tighter this time.

“I’m sorry.” You say, feeling the guilt of lying to him all this time hit you.

“I know. I know, Y/N. It’s okay. We’ll figure it out.” Luther says, sighing softly. He knows he can’t let you go, even if you had been cheating on him he probably would have forgiven you. He loves you too much to lose you.

“And uh, Lu?” You say, pulling back sheepishly. You have a little smile on your face, close to a cringe. Luther raises an eyebrow at you and sighs. “I may also… Have… Powers?”

Luther sighs again and hangs his head, shaking it. Then a laugh bubbles out of his chest and he looks back at you with the most exasperated smile. Your nerves melt away and you laugh with him.

“Well, don’t leave me in suspense,” Luther jokes, his eyes filled with love.

A lot is going to happen in the next week or so, and a lot has already happened, but what matters is you have this guy with you. And you think that’s pretty great.

Clown school (yes I actually mean clown school) ends for me tomorrow, so here's what I think each of the main six's clowns would look like!

(For clarity's sake, I'm not talking about circus clowns. This is clowning based on Jacques Lecoq's theories of acting, in which the clown nose acts as a mask to give the performer permission to lose their inhibitions. This action, putting on the nose, allows that performer's clown to manifest and take control.)

Gov's Clown- Red White Blue

Red White Blue (usually shortened to just Red) is one of the most relaxed clowns out of everyone in the statehouse. Red frequently moves around without a care in the world, including what is expected of him. Gov will let his clown out whenever he's feeling overwhelmed by all that's happening around him. Red isn't much of a troublemaker, and can usually be trusted to be left to his own devices. However, he cannot be trusted with a secret. He has very loose lips and will tell anyone anything that he knows. Red wears the simplest costume, just a T-shirt and sweatpants. His favorite activities include sleeping, lounging in Gov's desk chair, and eating other people's food.

Texas's Clown- Bluebonnet

Bluebonnet is, surprisingly, the nicest and friendliest of the clowns. The true embodiment of "southern hospitality", Bluebonnet will often give random items to other people and clowns as presents (my clown does this a lot with plastic silverware). They don't get into much trouble on their own, but can be persuaded to by other clowns. Texas doesn't like letting his clown out and deeply dislikes Bluebonnet, though Austin really like him and does his best to persuade Texas to get him out more (I might make a post about Austin's clown later). Bluebonnet's favorite activities include

California's Clown- Hollywood

Hollywood is a very energetic clown, quite literally bouncing off the walls if he's left alone for too long. He's very artistic, though this can lead to some minor property damage when they use walls, floors, and furniture as "canvases". Like Red, Hollywood doesn't really care about what other people think of them, but they love attention being on them. It's for this reason that California usually doesn't bring them out without an audience present. Hollywood loves interacting with an audience, sometimes bringing members up during sets. They are also highly emotional and easily upset. They love putting hats, jackets, and other costume pieces on others, and if you don't let them, they will cry. Hollywood's favorite activities include singing, painting, and making outfits for people.

New York's Clown- Rat

Rat is almost the complete opposite of New York. Sweet, aloof, and easygoing, Rat gets along well with most people and clowns and rarely holds a grudge. He is more of a follower than a leader, content to follow the lead of other clowns and the clown handler (a clown handler is someone who keeps an eye on the clown and keeps them on target. They also make sure that the clown doesn't get hurt or accidentally hurts anyone else). He's one of the calmest clowns in the statehouse, as not much can cause him to lose his cool. Having said that, when Rat does get upset, he will get very quiet and develop a thousand-yard stare. This side of Rat makes him potentially one of the scariest clowns in the statehouse. While New York will never admit it, he loves clowning and is very fond of Rat. Rat's favorite activities include being around people, playing with animals, and lounging on the couch.

Florida's Clown- Gator

Gator is very similar to Florida, as Florida doesn't have many inhibitions to lose. However, there is one major difference between Gator and Florida, in that Gator can be somewhat controlled. While it takes a very specific person, someone who is direct, assertive, and friendly towards Gator, Gator is willing to listen to his clown handler and stop. Gator has by far caused the most damage, often intentionally breaking things just to see them break. Florida adores Gator, and often wishes that he and Gator could get into trouble together. His favorite activities include hiding behind corners to scare people, cartwheeling down long hallways, and inacting long-winded plans to cause chaos.

Louisiana's Clown- Daiquiri

Like Florida and Gator, Louisiana and Daiquiri are very similar. Daiquiri has somewhat of a calming effect on Gator, though not to the point where a clown handler isn't an absolute necessity. Daiquiri himself is pretty laid-back, usually not worried about anything other than where he can get his next drink. While Daiquiri loves drinking, he can't actually tell what is and isn't alcohol. Giving Daiquiri many glasses of water and telling him it's alcohol is the only known way to get Louisiana sober. Despite this, Louisiana likes letting Daiquiri out as Daiquiri makes friends easily. Daiquiri's favorite activities include drinking, drinking, and more drinking.

The "Wolves" of Teen Wolf

Let's talk about wolves. No, not werewolves, much as I love to talk about them, but wolves. More under the cut, because this is going to be a long post.

Teen Wolf is no stranger to using real wolves for filming. In this 2013 article by Hypable (unfortunately the super-helpful videos within about this subject are no longer available), the author describes a video of how animal handler and trainer Chris Edrington (his IMDb page), previously working with Paws for Effect and now Working Wildlife, brought two wolves, Shadow and Frankie, to the set of Teen Wolf for shots of Shadow baring his teeth in the "This Might Hurt" Season 3a promo. The video within the article, which would be really cool to watch if it was still available, allegedly features Edrington describing how Shadow was trained to bare his teeth for TV.

Why use real wolves for TV instead of CGI? Well, back in ye olden times, or 2013, it cost a lot less to hire a real wolf for a day than to CGI one. Nowadays, CGI animals are a dime a dozen (mostly because CGI artists aren't unionized the way set artists and animal handlers in Hollywood are, as touched upon by this Guardian article). This Wall Street Journal article about filming with real wolves for HBO's True Blood asserts that, "The cost of live wolves varies, but they typically rent for under $500 a day, plus the cost of trainers." But also: "Since the animals prefer to travel in packs, six or seven additional wolves may accompany a wolf actor, but producers don't have to pay for the rest of the entourage."

Of course, having real wolves on set poses a problem: wolves are not dogs. And wolves do not act like dogs. They're very cute and fluffy, but try to pet one, and they may just take your arm off. The WSJ article linked above also describes some of Steve Martin's (owner of Working Wildlife) usual suspects for TV wolves, and how they differ greatly in personality and are better suited to different filming locations and different types of scenes. It also describes times on set where actors were stopped from eating food before the wolves were due for filming, because of the safety hazard to both actor and handler.

So what do real wolves act like? Well, citing my experience working at an animal shelter (2 years handling dogs/cats, coordinating/working events, facilitating adoptions) and my experience volunteering at a wolfdog sanctuary (1 year working with mostly mid-content and few high-content wolfdogs, after extensive training about safe handling), wolves are like large Spitz breeds (Huskies, Malamutes, Akitas, etc., the Pomeranian and some other small, fluffy dogs also fall within that category), but on steroids.

You may know people describing their Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes as many things -- beautiful, majestic, energetic, intelligent, mischievous, and often, destructive. The AKC page for Siberian Huskies actually specifies that owners should never let their Husky off-lead, because of their strong desire to run at any given opportunity, but they are animals that can be friendly and good with children if well-socialized.

Wolves do not do that. They are not friendly with people, and they are certainly not safe around children. Many people keep wolf/dog hybrids (and many keep them poorly, but that's a different subject), most of them rescues from irresponsible breeders or people who thought they were getting a regular domestic dog. While some wolfdogs are incredibly well-trained, able to go on pleasant off-leash walks, and attend educational events about wolfdogs, most require an outdoor habitat with extremely specific fencing, a lot of space, and diligent attention to their mental and physical exercise needs, and may never be affectionate with their handlers.

As the WSJ article describes, Working Wildlife also keeps wolfdogs on retainer, usually high content (a high percentage of wolf DNA compared to dogs, in the 75%+ range), for scenes where wolves may not be able to tolerate actors and their movements. However, even hybrids can be unpredictable and snappy. The article also describes a time when Brit Morgan (who plays werewolf Debbie Pelt on True Blood), shot a scene with two wolfdogs, and one got too excited and snapped at her (the actress was fine, and says it's one of her favorite scenes).

From my own personal experience, wolves and wolfdogs are very skittish, generally afraid of humans, and like to communicate with your teeth. If you've ever tried to take something out of a large dog's mouth (which is incorrect, instead offer something else to pick up and redirect the dog's attention so you keep all of your fingers), well, imagine doing that but the dog is 150lbs (about 68kg) and the something is your arm. If you don't keep your mouth closed, it will quickly be investigated by a wolfdog's tongue, and the only time you should have food near anything even part wolf is when you are carefully feeding it large chunks of raw meat, which, to a wolfdog waiting impatiently for dinner, is not terribly different from the hand that's holding it.

Wolves are fascinating creatures, and generally poorly understood by both TV and by the general population. Dr. David Mech, author of the study that started the theory of "alpha wolves" and eventually was adapted into the "alpha male", has renounced that research (and begged the publisher to stop printing his outdated 1968 book), rejecting the idea of "alpha" wolves in favor of the "adult male" and "adult female", because wolves in the wild actually group into packs by family, not by some constantly fighting hierarchy of pure male dominance. You can read more about his research on his website.

So Teen Wolf doesn't have a very accurate impression of the social hierarchy of wolves. Ok, it was an MTV show that started airing in 2011, what do you expect, but! Let's bring together Hollywood wolves and Dr. Mech's research to further discuss the "wolves" of Teen Wolf.

Why do I keep putting "wolves" in quotations? Well, because the black "wolf" we start seeing in season 4, Derek's "evolved wolf form" (and is the same canine actor in season 5 when we see Theo's wolf form, and also Talia Hale in 3x08 "Visionary"), is most certainly not a wolf. It looks to me like an all-black German Shepherd or similar breed (GSDs have a good profile for playing a wolf, but the coloring tends to give them away, which is why a lot of "wolves" on TV are solid black or white -- similarly, many horses on the screen are black or white, because it's easier to paint over markings and match colors than with chestnuts or bays, which are astronomically more common colors). However, I was unable to find any information about the doggy actor, and no handler or organization was listed in Teen Wolf's credits for the appropriate episodes, so the actual stats of the dog in question are unknown. If you do have any information, please feel free to share!

Why not use a real wolf for these scenes, when Teen Wolf hired real wolves for the season 3a promo? Well, for the behavioral reasons listed above, it wouldn't be possible for a real wolf or a wolfdog to safely tackle Jill Wagner in 4x12 when the cue is that Derek, in wolf form, leaps up and attacks her, which is why a doggy actor is used, and Jill Wagner does a convincing job of pretending she's not playing with a well-trained dog. Again, CGI was still expensive, so sizing it up or CGI-ing the entire "wolf" would have been a lot of work, when most audiences wouldn't be able to immediately tell a large dog from a wolf.

But most audiences are not me. And I can tell the difference between a wolf and a wolfdog and a dog pretty well, mostly from my experience working with wolfdogs, and coordinating with shelters who believed they had been handed a wolfdog and couldn't adopt it out to the public. For reference, here's a wolf (Romeo, beloved local wolf of Juneau, Alaska, known 2003-2009, est. at least 8yo at time of death) next to a large dog (left), medium dog (center), and several dogs (right). So how big would real wolves have been? Well, setting aside anything about Theo, because he's a chimera and who knows whether he's supposed to have a wolf form or a coyote form or a coywolf form, here's my rendition of a size chart containing a real wolf, the "wolf" on Teen Wolf, and Jill Wagner.

In summary:

There's no such thing as "alpha wolves".

Wolves are big. Very big. Much, much bigger than you think they are.

The "wolves" on Teen Wolf are only a little more than half the size of real wolves. They are very small.

Some other trivia for Teen Wolf viewers: The correct amount of whiskey to pour is 2oz (59mL) or about 1/5 to 1/4 of an average scotch glass.

Ricochet by Taylor Moore is an action-adventure thriller. The story is fast-paced and has non-stop action along with treachery, redemption, and family.  It explores the interpersonal relationships between the characters: the father/son relationship, male/female dynamics, and learning how to handle bullies. 

The plot opens with an intense scene where the main character, Garrett Kohl, hunts down a CIA traitor and brings him to justice.  Now that he has paid his debt to the Agency, he thinks he can settle down on his Texas ranch with the love of his life, Lacey, and his Afghani adopted son, Asadi.  Learning that Asadi is being bullied, Garett takes his fatherly role seriously and teaches him ways to defend himself. 

“Kohl’s handler, Kim Manning is highly intelligent, highly motivated, and small in size but big in impact. Throughout her intelligence career she has been underestimated.  She is softer than she lets on, lonely, and believes in the call to duty. Maybe she wants more from life than just the mission, a person who depends on her. I thought it was perfect to put in this book quote about her, ‘So this is the Death Star?  Always wondered where Darth Vader hung her helmet when she wasn’t traveling around with her storm troopers making trouble.” She responds, “Pretty sure that if I’m Vader, you’re the Emperor.’ Star Wars is a huge influence in my life.  Realistically those going into CIA Operations are said to be ‘going over to the dark side.’”

Unfortunately, Kohl is unable to just be a rancher after he is approached by an engineer, Liam, at the nearby nuclear weapons plan, Pantex.  Liam is being extorted by Iranian operatives who want classified information in exchange for his father being set free from an Iranian prison. Knowing this is wrong he asks Kohl to help him get his father home safely from Iran and overtake the Iranian operatives in Texas. Kohl goes to Kim, his CIA handler, and together they devise a plan to bring the Iranians down.  As the plan is unfolding, they realize that the Iranians plan on assassinating the US Secretary of Defense and to hijack a train containing five nuclear weapons.

“Here in Amarillo Texas, where I live, Pantex is a real nuclear weapons facility. It generates a lot of interest and activity within the local community. Although we have not seen any Chinese balloons flying over.  LOL. For me, it was a natural place to set a domestic spy thriller. I wanted to build off what they did and do with Pantex to create a thriller story. I put in a classic tit for tat with the Iranians who wanted to get revenge for something the US did to them. Pantex is a secretive place.  This is the only assembly and disassembly place in the US for nuclear weapons. They used the “White Train” until the 1980s.  It had soldiers, guards, and machine guns.  For me, it was a natural to bring back the White Train hauling these nuclear weapons since I write modern day westerns. If someone tried to hijack the train, what would it look like in the modern era.”

The Texas setting is also a key to the plot.  It feels as if the lone-star state is its own character.  Readers will be educated about this Cowboy state which is appropriate since these stories are modern day westerns with Kohl a cowboy version of James Bond.

The story has high speed chases, gun battles, flash foods, a would-be assassin, and fist fights.  Yet, it also delves into how the characters interact with each other.

Texas Food Manager

Tennessee, Our New Home

During the whole road trip to Tennessee, me and Josh stopped in Sun City, AZ to visit his parents for a day. It was always pleasant to be with them and spending time with them. We left California on Mar. 15 evening and went straight to Arizona. We left the very next morning after spending a day there, and drove none stop through New Mexico & Texas until we reached Louisiana. We stopped by to see his biological dad and grandparents for a night. Joshua hasn't seen his grandparents for a decade and his grandma has not really been doing too well with her health, so it was best to see her while she's still around. I was amazed by how beautiful the land they lived on was. It was so beautiful and so foresty there. Of course that's why there's going to be tons of bugs and animals you got to watch out for, but I wouldn't mind living over there. The town of Benton is a very small town so there ain't much going on with live shows or nothing. Bossier City was pretty nice to drive through as we were in that town getting food to eat and getting some necessities from a pharmacy store.

We left the very next morning and continued our drive down through Mississippi. We stopped by Elvis' birthplace and museum in Tupelo as well as the park nearby where he originally played one of his concerts in 1956. Mississippi is beautiful, too. After checking out those historical sites and having lunch at a small burger joint, we continued our road trip through Alabama until we finally reached Tennessee.

The night we arrived in Nashville was on a Saturday night. I'll share my review that I left for the hotel that we originally was suppose to stay at as things got fucked up when we didn't get a chance to check in our rooms that we reserved a month in advance for.

I already began writing a negative review for the Drake Inn motel since this is the place we are currently staying at until we get to a better place. I'm not going to post it until we know for sure we will not have to end up back at this motel because I am currently having mail sent here. This motel is kinda bad as the conditions of the place is not well kept at all, it's entirely outdated and dirty or disgusting to anybody that is staying in this very room we are at.

Josh applied for jobs at 3 places and got a job at the Johnny Cash museum in Downtown. They were paying the same rate and there's some cool perks with his job that probably Graceland wouldn't be able to give. Graceland is where Josh really wanted to work for, but it's not realistic for us as we are currently sharing 1 car and my job right now is here in Nashville. It's only 12 minutes away from the Drake Inn.

I started my new bid with my company just last week. It took almost the whole week for me to get my ID badge. The night I received it, it wasn't activated so I wasn't able to use it for the doors until the next day. I haven't received my time card yet, but I'm happy that I have my ID badge so that I don't have to bug people to help me come in or out of the building. I'm assigned at the RCS 2 machine so this facility still uses these robots. They have talked about it at my old facility as it being ancient and outdated technology. Here in Nashville, they still use them and it's old as hell, but it's kept up in good condition. I dunno how much longer they will be able to continue to use these machines, because there's so much cons to them. They got their LCUS work areas which is where I would rather work. I hate working this machine because the trays of mail will jam easily such as when trays are properly strapped down, or overloaded with letters and the letters will come out or spill out or fall over, the 1/2 trays will turn sideways or the wrong way and won't be read correctly, and I would have to keep watch on the top rolls where trays travel and to make sure to clear any jams up there if they are not moving.

Mail Handlers here are able to use scanners. I have to make sure the labels are scanned and closed out when we dispatch the outgoing mail by 2:30am. People normally take their 30 min lunch break by 3am. Since i'm on this machine, I can't take my break like I use to. I'm pretty much stuck on the machine majority of the time and I don't use my head set for music since I have to be fully alert for the sounds from the machine when there are jams that I gotta fix or clear. The place is pretty regular sized and not huge like what I was use to. I know where to go to get a scanner, I know that the main break room is right by the entrance/exit doors. I still need to find out where the union office is. The guy never answered me back about whethere there is a union rep on tour 1 available. They post up bids on their wall monthly so that's where I'm gonna start looking for better bids so I can bid out of the machine area. It's really boring and miserable and I prefer to work manually like what I was use to. I can stay more busy that way and time can go by quicker. I can get the job done faster by myself wasting time to unjam and set up machines. I need to do what makes me happy. I dread going back to work having to deal with the stupid machine every night now, but at least now I know what to do around the machine.

There's a one day rule where me and Joshua will have to check out for one day after staying at the motel for a month. If we decide to check in a different weekly hotel, we will do it because this place is just in horrible condition. The place we want to stay at is closer to my job, so if Josh ends up having to use my car for a job or what not, I will be able to get to work by walking there because that's how close it is to it's location. I'm currently focused on finding the next best bid and bidding out of my current position and do something I can be a bit more happier with.

And unlike Five, Ben actually tells his siblings about the apocalypse and how he was a super powered assassin that acted as the kidnapper and lookout. When the Hargreaves were 13, Ben had tried to talk to Five out of time traveling because logically, he may not know where he would end up, but Five wouldn’t listen to him and started arguing with him. The fighting got so loud that Vanya and Klaus eventually got pulled into the argument as well and it turned into a fistfight with all 4 of them. All of them ended up with scratches and bruises on their faces, a few chunks of their hair missing, and cleaning the mansion floors and ceilings from top to bottom and every single room without using their powers as a punishment for fighting by Reginald. At 2 am, Ben woke up after a nightmare and felt bad about getting Vanya and Klaus into trouble when they didn’t even started the fight in the first place and tried to go to their rooms to apologize, but he never did because the Horror became restless and angry that it didn’t get anything to eat and wanted to make Ben feel how trapped they felt when Reginald always had them kill people, so Ben’s tentacles grabbed him and opened the portal to their world, which was the apocalypse, and trapped him there for 10 years until the Handler came and recruited him and was never seen after that day again. Because of Ben’s disappearance, Vanya and Klaus blamed Five and his ambition for time travel since it was him who argued with Ben in the first place and Five had never forgotten it. Ben hopes that Klaus and Vanya would forgive Five in time. Ben read Klaus’s book about what happened to his family when he disappeared, he read about Luther running away to Dallas to forget about the Umbrella Academy, about Diego staying at the Academy to keep fighting crime, about Allison’s death and how she’s now mute, how Klaus is trying to get sober and stabling himself, how Five became a professor at a prestigious university and a vigilante, and how Vanya took a dark path into alcoholism.

• Five became a lowly-paid physics professor at community college after he was fired for punching a colleague at prestigious university and he’s also a vigilante, but his fiancé Delores doesn’t like it though. Five met Delores at a professor’s conference in Canada where she was presenting her findings on the science of gems and geodes since she’s a mineralogy professor (someone who teaches the study of rocks and crystals) and where he was discussing the possibility of time travel. Those two immediately hit it off and are now engaged, Five proposed to her by using different types of gems to spell it out. Five uses his powers of teleportation to be a mysterious assassin and hero.

• Klaus is a dancer at a local theater and he has somewhat control over his powers, but if the ghosts get too loud, he smokes cigarettes instead of weed so he wouldn’t be high at a recital. He became friends with Leonard Peabody aka Harold Jenkins when Klaus was 23 after his family abandoned him for writing an auto-biography about him having a power that traumatizes him and what the Umbrella Academy was really like behind the scenes, it’s called “The Ghosts Inside the Umbrella Academy: the life of Klaus Hargreaves”. Harold makes him more isolated by threatening to kill himself and haunting Klaus for the rest of his life if Klaus tries to leave him. Since Klaus never had someone ,besides Ben, care for him and give him a home and food since he was living at a homeless shelter when he met Leonard, Klaus thinks that this type of friendship is normal and doesn’t think twice about it. In his book, Klaus portrays his remaining siblings as people who knew about his drug abuse, but didn’t do anything about it; he portrayed Luther as a hotheaded daddy’s boy who was treated like the Golden child, Diego as a momma’s boy with daddy issues always trying to compete with Luther for everything, Allison as his favorite sister who was taken too soon, who’s death was the final straw that tore apart their family, and who acts as a silent ghost mother since she’s mute (no one believes him that he can see her though), he portrays Five as the cause of Ben’s disappearance and as a heartless gremlin who doesn’t care about his siblings enough to see that his siblings are hurting and have real problems of their own, he portrays Ben as his kind-hearted and favorite brother who was the glue that hold their family together and who’s disappearance drove a wedge between the family, and he portrays Vanya as his ordinary violin playing sister that desperately wanted to belong with their family in any way she could, but turned to alcohol when she learned that her dream of being in the Umbrella Academy was crushed by Reginald and who had the easy life of not being exploited by their father for her powers like he was. Vanya actually confronted him about her portrayal in the book and they said some things that they shouldn’t have, but they eventually forgave each other and Vanya moved in with him and Leonard a month later. Klaus didn’t mind that Vanya and Leonard were dating, but saw a striking difference between Vanya and Leonard’s relationship and Vanya and Sissy’s relationship when Vanya came back from the 60s. With Leonard, Vanya was walking on eggshells and isolated from her brothers and couldn’t be herself around him, but with Sissy, Klaus saw that Vanya was happier and could be herself around Sissy and loves Harlan like her own son. Klaus was the one to kill Leonard with his powers by having Allison choke him to death when he badly hurt Harlan with a gun and tried to drown Sissy.

• Allison dies at the age of 17 when her throat was slit by a serial killer on a mission and now acts like Klaus’s mother by always keeping him sober enough to conjure her and giving him healthy advice, but ultimately going along with almost every crazy idea Klaus has. Since she has a slit throat she can’t talk, but she does sign language instead and like Ben, she ages like Klaus, but still wears the same outfit she was buried in: a yellow and green striped dress with a blue flora printed jacket with red heels and a pair of black leggings. She HATES Leonard Peabody because he’s manipulating Klaus into isolation from their family and she tries to get Klaus out of their toxic friendship, but Klaus always denies Leonard’s abuse. She misses her siblings so much that she’s deeply hurt that she had ignored their problems for so long.

• Diego stayed at the Umbrella Academy because he didn’t know how to be anything else but a hero, he also didn’t want to Mom behind, so he began reading and writing code to free Grace from her restrictive rules that Reginald put on her, but after his accident that had him have scars all over his body and face to the point where he lost his left eye and his face is almost beyond recognition, Diego left the Academy when he realized that there was no point in staying and became a recluse in his good friend, Eudora’s house. Unlike Luther, Diego doesn’t have the monkey body because I just couldn’t see that type of body build on David Castaneda. Diego met Eudora at a local boxing gym, Eudora was impressed Diego’s fight skilled and was shocked to know that he was Diego “The Kraken” Hargreaves because Reginald told the whole world including their city and Luther, Klaus, Five, and Vanya that Diego died in an explosion a year ago when he had his accident. Diego ,of course, was pissed that his own father told everyone and his siblings that he was dead instead of saying that he survived the mission and was just scarred for the rest of his life, but he wasn’t surprised that Reginald did that to keep up his reputation. Him and Eudora immediately became fast friends and roommates at her house since Diego had nowhere to go when he left the Academy 6 months ago and was living at an run-down and moldy apartment. They actually tried dating at one point, but because of their conflicted personalities, they decided to just stay friends and roommates.

• 3 months after Allison’s funeral, Luther ran away to escape his father’s tight gripped and cold stare and the house that reminded him of his lovely yet dead Allison when he was 18 years old. He ended up in Dallas, Texas where he became a famous boxer named King Kong since he’s so huge and muscular, met and married a successful TV salesman named Elliott Gussman, and they adopted an African American baby girl who they named Claire Allison Gussman. Luther decided to take Elliott’s last name ,even though it was Luther who proposed to him, to cut his ties off from the Umbrella Academy and the man who turned 6 children into soldiers and who blamed the death of an innocent 17 year old girl that happened to be his adopted daughter on his 4 sons and 1 daughter instead of the person who killed her in the first place. Luther and Elliott had a happy marriage for 3 years until Klaus’s book came out that exposed the secrets of Luther’s past and made him into a hotheaded bully with daddy issues who followed Reginald around like a eager puppy trying to get a reward and a coward ran away from his problems instead of facing them. Elliott was furious at Luther because when Luther came to Dallas he lied about being from a mob family that did all types of shady businesses and that he ran away because his “family” couldn’t understand and accept him being bisexual instead of telling him truth about his abusive father who raised them to be child soldiers, how his brother Diego would always tried to be better than him to their father’s approval, how his brother Five was too smart for his own good, how he loved his sister Allison more than he should, how he tried to forget about Ben’s disappearance, how he ignored Klaus’s drug abuse, and how he denied Vanya’s problem with alcohol for so long. When Elliott read Klaus’s book about what Luther did and who he was, Elliott immediately started arguing with him about his true identity. Luther tried to deny it, but couldn’t because he loves Elliott too much to even hurt him in a way. Elliott actually threatened to separate from Luther when their arguments gotten too much, but he didn’t and instead drove Luther and him to see a marriage counselor so that they could actually talk to each other instead of just arguing. Luther and Elliott eventually made up, but because of the book, Luther is the one that’s more pissed about it and at Klaus for almost making Elliott lose his marriage to him. Btw, Claire is 6 years old in 2019 and was adopted as a baby in 2013 by the Gussman family when Luther was 24 and Elliott was 30, a year after Klaus’s book was published.

• Vanya was introduced to alcohol at 13 years old when Five and Klaus were drinking 2 cases of beer that Five stole, Klaus persuaded her to take a sip of his beer and she hasn’t stop drinking since. Besides the violin and her pills, alcohol was the thing that defined Vanya and her personality. Vanya thought that no one would care about what happened to her since she was so ordinary and isolated that she dumped all of her pills in the garbage disposal and drinks her problems away. With her new coping mechanism, Vanya’s personality changed from quiet and meek to sarcastic and drunk. Five and Vanya left the Academy for college together, but ended up separated by the time they were 20 because Vanya kept drinking her tutition away. By the age of 22, Vanya ended up being homeless because she got kicked out of her apartment for not paying her rent with the money she used to buy alcohol. She still plays her violin, but only for cash instead of at The Icarus Theatre. She also read Klaus’s book and was upset about her portrayal as his alcoholic sister who had an easy life of being ordinary and never going on missions because she doesn’t have a power that can’t be turned off willingly or that can kill somebody; she cried and drank her misery away for 3 weeks until she confronted Klaus about the book, they both admittedly said things that they regretted, but ended up apologizing to each other in the end. She also meets and dates Leonard like in the show and instead of Allison finding the truth about Leonard, it’s Five and Delores who both tried to convince Klaus and Vanya that Leonard is a snake, but they both denied it. Vanya ends up living with Klaus and Leonard when her and Klaus made up when she’s 23. In my first draft I made it Five and Delores that Vanya ended up rooming with, but I wanted to make Vanya and Klaus isolated further by Leonard manipulating both of them. When the house is attacked by Hazel and Cha-Cha, Vanya is the one that’s kidnapped and tortured by them for 2 days and is rescued by Eudora who arrives with back up this time, but is injured in the spine by Cha-Cha. Vanya takes the briefcase and time travels to October 12, 1963 where she ends up falling in love with a woman named Sissy Cooper, a widowed housewife who accidentally ran Vanya over with her car, and becoming a nanny/second mother to Sissy’s 5 year old autistic son named Harlan. Vanya stayed with them until 1966 when a neighbor reported their “unholy” relationship to the police, so to keep them safe Vanya used the briefcase to go back to 2019 with Sissy and Harlan.

—When Vanya gets back to 2019 with Sissy and Harlan, no one believes her story except for Klaus, who promises to her relationship with Sissy a secret from Leonard, and Ben, who was the only one that was worried about her whereabouts in the first place besides Klaus. Vanya tries to become sober for the sake of Harlan not being afraid of her when she gets drunk and for Sissy and her’s relationship since her late husband was an abusive alcoholic, instead of conjuring the one she loves’s ghost like Klaus did in the show. When Vanya was dating Leonard, he would constantly have her and Klaus practice their music and dance at 12am-6am to train them more and if one of them mess up, he’ll have them locked up in a dark and tiny closet with only one dimly lit lightbulb and they would have to balance on a stool on one leg for the duration of their training. Leonard would also take his anger out on Klaus and Vanya if he had a bad day at his shop, which would leave Klaus with bruises on his arms and a black eye and Vanya with scratches on her back and bruises on her neck. (Trigger Warning for those who can’t handle stories with domestic violence) When the 3 of them were 27, Leonard gotten pissed at how independent and successful Klaus and Vanya were getting in their lives by Klaus getting paid more from his dance recitals and Vanya going to AA meetings more to the point of being sober for 3 weeks that he took his frustrations about losing his control out on them by punching and slapping Klaus and choking and scratching Vanya, but thankfully a neighbor called the police after hearing their screams and Klaus and Vanya were taken to the hospital and Leonard was arrested, but unfortunately Klaus and Vanya bailed Leonard out due to dropping charges against him as an apologize.

Here are the things that I changed

• Klaus and Vanya both cause the apocalypse by combining their powers at Klaus’s dance recital with Vanya’s violin because Leonard isolated them from everyone, manipulated them to the point of denying the abuse he put them through, and because of him trying to kill Sissy and Harlan for taking Vanya away from him.

• Five and Delores tries to explain to Vanya and Klaus that Leonard only liked them to get revenge on the Umbrella Academy and it was him that kidnapped Sissy and Harlan to get them to come back to him, but Five gets stabbed in the stomach by Klaus’s new found telekinesis and Vanya makes Five and Delores’s apartment collapsed after knocking Delores out. When the apartment collapses, Allison , who’s coperal at the moment, immediately grabs both a bleeding Five and an unconscious Delores and saves them from death and takes them to the Academy to be treated by Grace. Delores unfortunately loses her right arm to a huge piece of shrapnel lodged into it that’s cutting the circulation.

• When Ben goes to the apocalypse for the first time, he finds Luther with the eye clutched in his hand, Diego wrapped in black bandages holding a woman with a long black ponytail (Eudora), Five in an Armani suit with his eyes opened, and a red headed woman in a polka dotted blouse and a black skirt holding one of Five’s hand (Delores). All of them are dead and Ben finds out that they’re his brothers by the faded black umbrella tattoo on Luther’s wrist when Ben was inspecting the bodies. The bodies that Ben couldn’t find were Allison, Vanya, and Klaus’s, but after learning about Allison’s death from Klaus’s book, Ben kept looking for Vanya and Klaus.

• Vanya gets her burst of powers when Harlan almost drown in the summer of ‘64 in the lake 10 miles away from the farm. Harlan was playing with a beach ball when it got away from him and he tried to get it while Vanya and Sissy were cuddling in the sand and a wave pulled him under the water. Sissy started crying and panicking when Vanya couldn’t get Harlan to the surface, but after a minute of silence she was shocked and relieved to see Vanya holding Harlan in her arms while she’s floating in the lake with glowing white eyes. As soon as they get to shore, Vanya gives Harlan cpr which transfers her newly found powers to him like in the canon.

• Diego doesn’t show himself to his siblings until episode 3 when Hazel and Cha-Cha attack the house because everyone thinks he’s dead and he’s a recluse. He finds out about the attack from Grace (mom) when she calls him from her bedroom phone since they talk every day so that he can know what’s going on and because of these calls, Diego knows about Ben being back, how the funeral went, and how much each of his siblings changed over the years.

• In episode 1, since the siblings’ lives are switched around, the way they found out that Reginald died is slightly different from canon. Luther finds out from the press badgering him after he won a fight, Diego finds out from Eudora when she comes home after work and turns on the Tv in a flash, Klaus finds out during rehearsal on the radio that him and his group are listening to to practice the recital while Allison is dancing in the shadows behind him when the news suddenly comes on, Five finds out from his phone on social media when one of his students sent him the news link after Five teleports to his apartment after saving a 12 year old boy from being abducted by a creep and almost killing said creep by beating him senseless, and Vanya finds out from a bar Tv when she and Leonard are on a date. She immediately calls Klaus who was immediately going to call her to tell her the same thing when he was done rehearsals.

• Just to clarify, since Vanya spent 3 years with Sissy and Harlan in Dallas from 1963-1966, she is 33 years old and Harlan is 8 years old because he was 5 when he and his mom met Vanya. Even though Vanya spent 3 years in the ‘60s, she was only gone for 2 days with Klaus, Five, Delores, Ben, and Leonard searching for her.

• When the Hargreeves all come back for the funeral, the introduction of them to each other are very different. Diego doesn’t show up to the funeral to keep up the reputation of him being dead. Vanya and Klaus show up together, but immediately split up when Vanya goes straight to the bar making drinks for her and her brothers (mostly for her though) and Klaus goes to his old room to reminisce about his past. Five checks their father’s room and office for evidence of something other than a heart attack, he is the one that thinks that Reginald was murdered by someone, and he also greets Vanya and Klaus with Delores who went with him to meet his family. Luther is trying to get through the funeral as possible by almost avoiding his siblings, but that backfires when Five calls a family meeting to talk about their father’s death and Luther sees a tipsy Vanya holding a mix of vodka and rum, Klaus talking to Delores who is laughing at a funny story Klaus is telling, and Five lecturing the remaining siblings on how their father might’ve been murdered.

• Eudora is more present in the show since she survives the gunshot wound in her spine by Cha-Cha, but she ends up being paralyzed from the waist down in a wheelchair. She helps Five with discovering how Reginald actually died and Diego with stepping out into the world and seeing his family for the first time in years. Like in canon, she is the first one to find Vanya at the motel after finding the message that Hazel and Cha-Cha left on the van when they burned down the prosthetic factory after they got drunk off of Vanya’s “special lemonade” which is just lemonade mixed with wine and vodka. Unlike in the show, Delores and Ben go with Eudora as back up in case something goes wrong and it does end up going wrong with Cha-Cha and Eudora having a shoot out with each other in the parking lot that ultimately ends up Eudora becoming paralyzed by Cha-Cha’s bullet ricocheting off a lamppost and lodging into Eudora’s spine with her laser gunand Ben wrestling with his former partner Hazel in the motel room while Vanya is escaping through the vent with the briefcase in her arms and Delores in tow.

Ben breaks Hazel’s wrist and almost beats him to a bloody pulp for kidnapping Vanya, but he stops when he hears Eudora’s screams from outside and sees her on the ground behind her car and he immediately drives her to the hospital while Hazel and Cha-Cha get away before the police show up. Delores and Vanya get on a nearby bus to escape the chaos and they talk about what’s going on in their lives and Delores talks about how Leonard treats Klaus when they’re alone, but Vanya denies any abuse and opens the briefcase. The last thing Vanya hears is Delores screaming.

• The episode “The Day that Wasn’t” doesn’t exist in my AU and is instead replaced with an episode called “Welcome to the 60’s” where Five interrogates Sissy and Harlan about the past while working on the beat up briefcase to learn more about how to time travel. Eudora and Diego talk about how their long time friendship has become into a sibling relationship and about how Diego can reconnect with his siblings again. Luther and Delores discuss how they both want a normal and ordinary life with their husband and fiancé respectively, but fail to see that things can never go back to way they were. Ben goes off on his own to find the truth about Leonard Peabody, but finds himself at Griddy’s where he sees Hazel kissing Agnes and talks to them about his problems. Agnes gives Ben advice about how he can reconcile with his family by actually giving them time to process him being a time traveling assassin and him telling Five to not feel guilty about causing a rift between him and Vanya and Klaus because it wasn’t Five’s fault that Ben “ran away”.

I’ll continue the rest of the story when I have the time. Right now I just want to post this.

my thoughts on TUA season 2

(spoilers, obviously)

- opened with Klaus and Ben, my kings. Klaus’s hair looks so weird straightened while short 

- AWESOME opening soundtrack 

- seeing all their powers so controlled makes me wonder how they leveled up to that skill in the alternate timeline. like the only time we saw Klaus use the powers of other ghosts in the correct timeline was when two of them caught him falling out of the sky. however Diego did end up controlling bullets and Allison used her voice to technically kill one of the Swedes

- the homeless man screaming Allison’s name alongside Luther... funny shit

- big teddy bear Hazel

- Elliot was fucking awesome i think he was a great addition as a side character. rip tho :(

- honestly i don’t understand why Diego would WANT to save JFK. like it’s not that big of a deal. does he not understand what messing with the timeline can do??

- Lila... impeccable

- Sissy and Vanya... impeccable <3

- yeah and fuck u Carl

- Ben and Klaus definitely act like they should be, given that they’ve been stuck with each other for over a decade. i’ve seen some people calling Klaus an asshole for not telling his siblings about Ben, which is completely understandable (cause he was an asshole), but I’m guessing it was because he was afraid? that sharing Ben with his siblings would mean that he would lose him to them, or his siblings would find him selfish, or they would ask something of him that he couldn’t give. if that makes sense

- that ghost bitch comment was funny tho 

- to the guy who called Klaus pretty boy at the bar: sir you don’t know what you’re getting into

- Raymond!! he’s such a sweetheart, i really liked him in the show. i’m really happy that Allison has found a bit of normalcy (as normal as the 1960s Civil Rights movement could be). it shows how passionate she is about what she believes in: even though she knows the movement is far from over, even back in 2019, she’s not gonna abandon it

- Allison staring at the moon every night: either thinking about Luther or how the moon blows them all up. maybe both

- of course Luther would be working for Jack Ruby

- awesome cinematography during the mental asylum escape 

- yeah it makes sense that the Handler would still be alive. she was a cool villain. although it would’ve been awesome to see how evil a fish could be

- Diego’s plan was pretty stupid. that’s my boy

- honestly they revealed how Klaus started a cult really well by having one of his followers find him at jail. Klaus, ever the musical aficionado, of course writes his scripture based off of pop songs

- Raymond and Klaus meeting!! that was cool to see how their paths connected

- Lila painting Elliot’s toenails green. ugh i love that crazy bitch

- i LOVE how they incorporated the umbrella man!! tbh i’ve always believed he was the one behind the assassination. Lee Harvey Oswald was framed 

- honestly a bit understandable that Luther was planning on killing Vanya? cause he had no idea who she is now, but them reuniting was actually really sweet. he’s grown up so much

- the Swedes and their cats.

- the Umbrella company building with the nuclear family mannequins... creepy, awesome shit

- did anyone else get vibes from Klaus’s episode opening that he was an escort to the old woman? like how he was being shown off at her arm or something and getting out of jail from a call from the governor. idk maybe the lady was just very taken with him, as anyone would be

- Allison and Klaus’s reunion was so sweet!! i’m so glad they got to interact so much more in this season 

- Ben getting Raymond out through a haunting... hilarious

- sweet intimate moment between Lila and Diego

- Ray meeting Luther was hilarious, but i do feel for the poor guy. i mean i’m not in love with my adoptive sister but still

- the sit-in was really well done and beautiful while terrible. the ‘riot’ that ensued was very appropriate for today’s setting

- honestly i was scared that Klaus was gonna be overly attracted to him or whatever, which would be weird cause he’s years younger than Klaus, but honestly, at the core he just wanted to save Dave’s life. even if it means never meeting him in a different timeline. he truly loved Dave. and that ptsd flashback was done so well

- i knew Lila wasn’t trustworthy but i didn’t REALLY expect that! 

- Vanya and Luther talking with each other, Luther admitting the apocalypse wasn’t all her fault. beautiful

- the Majestic 12 reminds me of the conspiracy theory that only a few families control basically everything in the world. the Majestic 12 may be based off of that, idk

- idk about everyone else but Klaus’s scorpion and the frog story made total sense to me! frogs ARE bitches

- the diner scene.... ugh. it really shows that the two of them did fall in love and they did stupid in love things, like talking about their family, about why Dave wanted to join, favorite colors, favorite foods, etc. however that’s seen later on when Dave visits the compound

- yes it’s very disheartening when Klaus is attacked, but honestly i think it had to happen, just like the riot had to happen. the 60s weren’t a fun time for lgbt people and poc. it was only going to be a matter of time before the show HAD to acknowledge the consequences of Klaus’s ‘flamboyancy’ in 1963 Texas. it doesn’t make it right or easy to see, but it’s realistic. 

- it also makes sense that Klaus fell off the wagon after experiencing something like that. yes we all would’ve liked him to stay sober, but sobriety and recovery aren’t linear. 

- Allison is so happy with Ray can we please drop this pseudo-incest plotline let’s MOVE ON 

- Texas Grace ! who is not actually Grace rip (i think? i was a bit confused lol)

- the scene with Harlan running off was really upsetting but we got to see those weird light particles that we saw in the first season

- Pogo Pogo Pogo Pogo

- Klaus being a dick to Ben again, as brothers do. i do feel bad for Ben though it must be sooo frustrating. that scene with him and Allison was really sweet and funny tho

- i just have to say that Luther and Diego are so fucking funny this season it’s awesome. like there are a LOT of good lines overall by everyone but they’re hilarious. “At least he didn’t shank my ass” “no bro, he shanked your heart”“Dads part of a sinister CABAL that’s plotting on killing the president.” “a caBAL?”“You two still a thing? *leans in* do we need to talk?” “No, she’s married.” “Woah dude... that’s rough.” and countless others

- the sibling reunion!! 

- Klaus really does get left out of everything tbh

- sisters and Klaus!! that was so awesome to see. and Klaus’s hairpins, Vanya saying she’s gonna tell Sissy she loves her, their dance sequence, Klaus calling Allison out on that incest. beautiful

- the fucking Swedish cover of Hello was PERFECT i mean i was sad for the Swedes but it was hilarious. there were a couple beautiful shots of the boat on fire though

- god it must’ve been so traumatizing for Allison to be thrust into such a hostile place with no voice and no way to contact her family

-  idk about you guys but long live Team Zero

- calling Ben that he was becoming their father was a bit uncalled for 

- the fact that Klaus didn’t help Dave’s chances, and in fact escalated Dave’s own timeline.. his trembling hands... robert sheehan is an amazing actor

- the Black president bit lmaoo loved it

- the way Reginald spoke to Diego.. i’m gonna throw hands with an old man

- Klaus LITERALLY looked like he was having a seizure and they all just... played it off?? 

- poor, poor Carl. nah fuck him lol

- that bloody opening scene was awesome! and thank god Five got to say fuck. the fact that it was about a candy bar makes too much sense

- Robert Sheehan acting as Ben: amazing showstopping spectacular he’s so talented

- the whole multiple Fives and Luther bit was honestly really funny, and i immensely respect smaller Five over bigger Five. 

- yes Klaus, you survived a family of seven. you got this

- not sad about Carl dying one bit!

- Ben... that was such a beautiful scene. not just the content of the scene, but the cinematography. Ben fading away... Vanya hugging him... ugh. the main takeaway i had from that scene is that at the core of it all, Ben and Klaus love each other immensely. they have a weird, dysfunctional, fucked up relationship, where Klaus is an asshole and Ben definitely shouldn’t of possessed him without his consent, but they’re still brothers, and Ben forgives him. 

- oof Ben’s funeral was hard. also was it just me or did Klaus’s kid actor sound weird? like it sounded like Robert was dubbing his lines 

- all the siblings back together again!!!! Klaus going with Vanya to save Harlan!! Vanya telling him Ben forgives him and that it wasn’t Klaus’s fault Ben got stuck with him!! everyone in the car!!! be still my beating heart

- yeah didn’t see Lila having powers coming tbh. i really feel bad for her she’s had such a rough and traumatic life, especially with the Handler as her only parental figure

- the Swede brother and Five putting down their weapons: “enough.” the Swede wanted revenge for his brothers - an eye for an eye, but there was a mutual understanding between the two of them: they would do anything for their family. if the Swede hurts one of the Hargreeves, Five would never stop coming after him. i thought it was very beautiful 

- mmm Reggie’s foreshadowing coming into play. proud of u Five

- the ending was so beautiful. everyone got closure in some type of way. except now Klaus is alone with nothing but his dog tags :(

- EMO BEN HAHAHA WTFFF?? is Lila in the sparrow academy? why was Ben’s portrait over the mantle piece? did Five disappear?? is the sparrow academy just older versions of the siblings who stuck around?? so many questions

FINAL THOUGHTS

- Ellen Page’s acting consistently blows me away. she is amazing 

- beautiful cinematography, funny writing, pretty good acting. i didn’t like the soundtrack as much as i did the first season’s, but some of it wasn’t bad.

- i’m glad ben got peace, but i’m also glad justin min isn’t gone for good. his social media presence is too vital for us

- i swear to god if they keep treating klaus as a joke and don’t let him get any actual development like everyone else had (he barely got closure with Dave, he reconciled with Ben through a second party) next season, i’m gonna riot. PLEASE i want to learn more about his powers now that Ben is gone. what happened to seeing tons of ghosts when he’s sober??

- Luther and Diego were probably my favorite duo of the season, I’m so happy that they’ve reconciled and are bonding more. 

- just seeing Vanya grow and be happy was amazing 

all in all, really wonderful season. i probably liked it better than the first one. now it’s time to consume fanfiction and maybe finish my own (check out “god doesn’t want him and neither does the devil” on ao3!)

Hey hey, I woke up early cause my cat decided it would lick my face for a good 10 minutes, but she gave me an idea for chapter one so here it is! Now I'd like to let you all know that this story takes a few weeks ahead of the main story for season 2. The reason being that I want the story to focus on the reader and the boys. I might add some interaction with the hargreeves, but I'm not sure yet.Also please go read the prologue if you havent. This all would make o much more sense if you read it. Anyways enjoy!

Chapter 1:

A cat, a Diner, and a camera

Something wet was on your face. More specifically something was licking your face.

Opening your eyes you realized a small tabby cat had decided to lick you. Probably trying to wake you up to see if you had food. Brushing the small cat off your chest, which it didn’t appreciate, you got up with a groan of pain. Leaning against the wall, you looked down to see your ankle swollen and forming a big bruise. Great, now you’re injured, just what you needed.

Pulling your head back up you took in your surroundings. Looks like you tumbled into an alleyway. Upon further inspection, you realized the briefcase is gone. Slightly panicked, you started to hobble around looking for it.

That was your only way out and now it’s gone. Deciding to exit the alleyway you had spotted what looked like the briefcase. Though it was just your luck that what looked like a homeless guy had taken it. With a slight puff and a deep breath you decide to call out to him.

“Hey, mister! That’s my briefcase, give it back!” Pointing at the perpetrator you quickly, well as quick as you could with an injured ankle, made your way to the man. He stopped to turn around and look at you before replying back.

“Sorry, but this here briefcase mine now. Maybe you shouldn’t have fallen asleep in that alleyway back there”. With a crooked grin and a small wave, he ran away. Knowing The Commission would want that briefcase back, you assumed they’ll probably kill him for it.

Pouting slightly, you made your way over to a bench. Now you’ve really done it. You’re a traitor to the commission and now you’re lost with no way to escape. Guess the first thing you can do is figure out where and when the hell you’re at.

Spotting what looked like the morning newspaper in a trash bin you got up. After making your way over to it, you took the newspaper and looked at the date.

“Dallas Texas, 1963.” Great, now you knew where you’re at and which decade, but it still didn’t make you feel any better. A loud grumble had made it to your ears and looking down you realized it was your stomach.

Ahead of you was a diner. Deciding to go there seemed like a good idea. “Ding” had sounded, alerting the staff and patrons to your arrival. With an awkward smile and small wave you sat down at the bar.

“Umm, excuse me, but you can’t be here”, a server, who you assume was an ass from the way he looked, had said to you giving you a nasty glare.

“And why not?” You said crossing your arms on the countertop.

“Well because look at you! You tracked mud and dirt all over our clean floor and now you’re putting it on our clean countertops!” With a loud angry puff he pointed at the door signaling you to get out. Looking up at the man, and then looking at the sign that read “whites only”, you quickly realized that proper social etiquette and racism was a thing here in the sixties.

The man, who was still glaring at you, had walked over and yanked you out of the chair. “I said get out! You are causing a scene in front of the costumers!”.

You hated people pushing you around. After getting up off the floor you turned to the man. Smiling softly you grabbed a salt shaker, confusing everyone who was watching, and unscrewed the lid. “Now, sir, if anyone is causing a scene, it’s you”, with that you popped the lid off, threw the salt in his face and ran out.

Laughing, while also grunting in pain, you made it back to the alleyway. So much for food, you thought.

“Meow”, the cat from earlier came out from behind the dumpster, rubbing itself on your legs.

“Hey. little guy. You're hungry too?”

“Meow”

“Hmmm, that’s what I thought.” Petting the cat, who you now decided to name Stinky, because he stank, you leaned against the wall sitting down. Guess I’ll be here a while, might as well rest up some before I figure out what to do.

Closing your eyes with a sigh you were finally able to rest up. Sadly your slumber was interrupted by the shutter of a camera. Shooting your head up you looked around, spotting a figure in the window above moving behind the curtain. “Hmm now, why would someone take a picture of me?”

Coming up with the idea that it might be someone from The Commission, you decided to check it out. Not really a smart decision, but maybe you’d be lucky and they won't put up a fight when you try to take their briefcase.

“Come on Stinky, let’s go check that out.” Picking up the cat, you made your way to the entrance.

Axel, Otto, and Oscar were called to the Handler’s office. After looking at security footage, the Handler saw that they had confronted you. She wanted to do some questioning.

Arriving right on time, the three Swedish men entered her office.

“Well hello there, boys. I do thank you for coming in.” She gestured to the chair in front of her desk. “Please sit”.

They all looked at her not bothering to sit down. They just wanted to get out of there. All three of them just wanted to go home and eat dinner.

“Okay, well, I’m sure you’re all wondering why you’re here, but I assume you’re all smart enough to figure that part out yourselves”, looking at them from the corner of her eye she gave a little smirk.

Of course they knew. Axel wasn’t stupid and he knew his brothers weren’t either. They were here because you had run away. You’re a traitor now and the Handler wants them to kill you.

Not receiving a reply, which didn’t surprise the Handler, she carried on.

"As you know, our dear Y/N has run away. I’d like you boys to track them down since it was you three who let them go, okay?“ Though she didn’t mean it as a question. It was a demand and they knew that.

“I have intel that they’re somewhere in Dallas, Texas, 1963. I want you three to go a kill them", and with that she dismissed them, waving them out her office and closing the door on them.

Axel, Otto, and Oscar looked at the paper that had their assignment on it. A picture of what you looked like and your location was the only information they got. Grunting, the brothers headed to where the briefcases were, hoping they could get this done soon so they can go home and eat their dinner. With a look at each other, and a nod of the head, Axel pressed down on the briefcase, all three of them heading your way.
