Thought dumping again LOL.

hey peeps. It’s me, Oracle. Just wanting to dump some of my random thoughts okay.

I would obviously need a blessing but, could I possibly make a Vegans Saturday? Or Sunday? Whichever works. I want to appreciate them too as I’m sort of in my 60s era.

I have a feeling Ellody swears if she’s stressed. Like perhaps during a hugely difficult exam. Then she’s dropping F bombs, S bombs and the word Hell. (Basically how Paul from Petscop would swear LOL.)

Miles discovered a song she liked once. “The Sign” by Ace of Base. Laurie tried getting Miles to stick to 60s stuff, but it was no use.

So far, I’ve been into a couple fandoms. Not sure if you’ve heard of a couple of these:

Interland (Yes, the google game.)

Petscop (Partially.)

Spheriks (that 2002 world cup cartoon.)

TDRR (Full-Time, for now.)

The Hunger Games.

Would animatronic versions of The Vegans and Geniuses work? I’ve been into animatronics as I’m deeply interested in the inner workings and the complicated processes of programming them. Moreover, would mascot suits of them work? Or should it stick to just cosplaying?

You know, now that I think about it, why can’t The Vegans and Geniuses get their own show? Then they truly can have time to develop that way. Moreover, I had a thought they could start a singing quartet. “Brainteezer”

My current favorite WDW hotels are currently Wilderness Lodge and Pop Century. I personally never went to any of these places, but I watch videos. They look cool to me (shruggie.)

I associate The Vegans and Geniuses with lots of things. Here’s just a bit of a list LOL.

The Vegans:

The Songs “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles), Rockin’ Robin, I’ll Never Find Another You, and Puff, The Magic Dragon.)

A Toco Toucan and a Pine Marten.

The 60s era entirely. You probably can guess why. XD

The Absolute Good in Humans. Such as our willingness to do kind things.

The Geniuses:

The Bert the Turtle PSA (Otherwise known as Duck and Cover)

The Elements Song by Tom Lehrer.

River Otters

The Early 2000s era. Y2K.

The Intelligence in Human Beings. Such as our vast knowledge of Math, Science, ans History.

The Big Bang Theory. Specifically Bernadette and Amy.

One final thought drop that probably will get me cancelled:

In TDRR, is it bad I do not like The Sisters? Part of me just didn’t feel right watching them, and I don’t know why. That, and some parts of the fandom contributed to my disliking of this particular team. Some other teams I ended up disliking were The Dater-Haters, The Best Friends, The Surfers, and The Mom and Daughter. (Notice how they’re partially relationship based?)

On the Contrary, some teams I DID like were:

The Vegans and Geniuses (It’s obvious LOL. They’re tied for first place on my tierlist of TDRR. I also love them for personal reasons, such as how Ellody’s behavior mimics that of mine IRL. I cannot wing things, and I need someone to anchor me down. I also like how The Vegans were possibly a nod to the 60s counterculture, and tried to explore what it would be like to have those kinds of ideals in the ridonculous race in a way… Please correct me if I’m wrong.)

The Police Cadets were fun too. :) I watched The Heat, and I can safely say I appreciate MacArthur and Sanders a whole ton more.

The Ice Dancers were pretty nice villains too! I have an odd love for ice dancing myself, mostly watching it though. But a school field trip to the skating rink helped me appreciate it a ton.

#well okay there were 2/3 mediocre/bad seasons that came before tdrr but pfff forget about that #i love the ice dancers they're my favs #and KITTY OMG #and the police cadets!#i think i loved every single character in rr #i was disappointed during almost every single elimination ceremony #this hasn't happened since the first three seasons

my opinion on td finalists

spoiler alert, im not a fan of most

TDI: Owen & Gwen

uh I personally don’t like either of these guys for finalists. gwen did do a lot but there were so many times where she just acted so apathetic I was like why?? are you still here?? and as for owen... I didnt like him as a character for a Long Time and he's growing on me but he just doesnt seem like finale material

I think a duncan versus leshawna finale would've been super fun to watch. especially if they teamed up to take down heather in the semifinal. those two had such a fun dynamic, especially in the triathlon episode, that I think taking it to the finale would've been fantastic. also leshawna deserved to win that season and you cannot change my mind

TDA: Duncan & Beth

duncan, while not my first choice, I can see making it through to the finale this season. but beth?? no. im sorry but shes just too much of a side character and is canonically fake nice and annoys everyone else so it doesn’t really make sense

an interesting finale would’ve been duncan versus courtney considering how volatile their relationship was this season. however, bc courtney was kinda awful to duncan, I dont think she deserves to win this season. it would be cool if there was one ending where their votes tied and they made up and decided to split the money but that just feels too tame, both for a finale and for their dynamic

harold versus duncan could be interesting, but because duncan tends to bully harold, I dont think his win would be fair in this situation. I think lindsay versus harold would be the best, as this season is about lindsay learning to take charge and come up with strategies, and while he can be off-putting and occasionally condescending, I think harold has a lot of useful skills that could really flourish in the finale

TDWT: Heather & Alejandro

while I dont ship them at all, I truly dont think there could've been a more satisfying final two. we’ve had their rivalry build up from day one, they have a ton of good songs together, it really completes heather’s arc of antagonist to antihero to protagonist. heather winning is the best ending in my mind, but I like alejandro winning too. the only problem I have with his ending is that it only happened because heather threw in the wrong dummy-- I think it would’ve been more clever for him to have switched them or something like that

ive been thinking about some other final twos that I think would be interesting, though unable to top the canon one imo. gwen versus courtney would be really cool because of the friends turned enemies thing-- I think it would be interesting for courtney to be put in danger and gwen has a choice of saving her or going for the money and she save courtney before apologizing again (maybe dumping duncan) and the two make up and split the money.

though I don’t really enjoy either as characters mostly due to their writing, cody and sierra would be an interesting final two. maybe cody finally stands up to sierra, or sierra struggles with wanting to be the winner of total drama or helping the boy she likes win. it definitely wouldn't be as good as the canon two but there would be a lot of clashing dynamics at play that'd be fun to explore

TDROTI: Lightning & Cameron

admittedly, I don’t remember too much from this season, but it really felt like these two kind of coasted by. I never found lightning to be a particularly compelling character and thought it weird how he suddenly went from dumb jock to evil jock in the last episode or two. cameron really felt like he was just carried through the season, similarly to beth, though I dont have as much as an issue with him winning. I dont think it was a bad finale, per se, I just think if those were the final two they should've been written better from the start

seeing as how jo really played the game and went all in, I think she would’ve been a great finalist. it would’ve been interesting to see her versus (commando?) zoey though im not the biggest zoey fan. I think a jo versus lightning finale could actually work (or brick) though if there was a jo versus cameron finale, I couldn't see him logically winning bc jo would just destroy him

TDAS: Mike & Zoey

*BIG FUCKING INHALE* no. just no. im probably not gonna say anything that’s not already been said so ill keep it short. bland, mal writing bad, have someone who's been in the game for 3 previous seasons instead of 1 make it to the ALL STARS FINALE. jfc.

you know what would’ve been an interesting finale? gwen versus courtney. they both said they wanted to reach the final two with the other one, so maybe they do! maybe they start to struggle with their friendship because of courtney’s competitive streak! maybe one of their helpers is duncan and that causes strife between them! maybe they become enemies again and don’t make up until the finale! maybe they decide to split the money! idk! it would've had a hell of a lot more flavor than what we got

TDPI: Shawn & Sky

I don’t really have an issue with either of these characters making it to the finale. they’re compelling, worked hard, and have distinct goals. I would’ve liked to see jasmine in the finale but I'd be cool replacing either one with her: jasmine and shawn having to compete against one another would be an interesting relationship hurdle and sky versus jasmine would've been cool because they’re both very athletic and it would’ve been the first f vs f total drama finale (we've had m vs f and m vs m but no all-girl finales...)

TDRR: Surfer Dudes & Police Cadets

Again, I don’t really have an issue with this finale. I really like how Sanders and MacArthur both work hard in their own ways and have to learn how to work together (MacArthur breaking Sanders’ arm and realizing that she can negatively affect her partner and also that Sanders is super tough was a GREAT arc). I know there’s been some contention about the Surfer Dudes being eliminated and then coming back so late in the game, but it made sense to me. They chose to lose because they felt that they owed it to Devin and Carrie, and that choice paid off when Devin and Carrie called in a replacement team. I doubt the surfers expected that to happen, they were just trying to be fair, but that kindness was rewarded in a big way which I think was sweet, especially considering how much of a hot mess this show can be.

I gotta say, this does kinda remind me of the TDI finale, with the villain (heather/ice dancers) getting eliminated third, and their rival (gwen/police cadets) making it to the finale with the fun guy (owen/surfer dudes). The reason I like the Surfer Dudes as finalists more than Owen is that I felt they put in more effort during challenges and had more of an arc (with Josee’s mind games ending up bonding them as a team after strife, choosing to be eliminated for the sake of fairness, etc).

Speaking of Owen, it’s kind of ironic that if I had to replace a team in the finale, I would replace the surfer dudes with the reality tv pros. they’re my favorite team and I think it wouldve been great for them to really live up to their name. I think it also would've been funny for the ice dancers to be so focused on their rivalry with the cadets that the pros just completely go under their radar until its the final three and the ice dancers are like “oh crap they’re PROS why haven't we been trying to destroy them??”

I also wouldn't mind replacing the surfer dudes with the sisters. I know emma gets a lot of hate (mostly because of nemma which I only like platonically) but I actually like her as a character (when she wasn’t being obsessive) and I think she and kitty were a great team that had a good arc of learning to work together. I also think it would be really interesting because for the final three they would all have rivalries with one another: the police cadets and the ice dancers (obvious) the ice dancers and the sisters (josee messed with them in at least 2 challenges) and the sister and the police cadets (kitty and macarthur’s game/road rage was hilarious)

my slowly deteriorating hot takes on total drama finalists (spoiler, im not a fan of most)

TDI

Owen - nah. I mean, he’s one of the nicest characters, but he just wasn’t finale material for this season to me. I think there are more interesting/deserving characters that could have been put in his place

Gwen - this may be controversial, but... also no. while she did win several challenges, she was always pretty apathetic and it felt like a lot of her personality was wrapped up in her relationships with heather and trent (though I haven't watched the second half of the season in a while so I may be remembering wrong). definitely not the worse choice, but there are some other girls (*cough*leshawna*cough*courtney*) that I would've rather seen win

TDA

Beth - she’s just a really odd choice. she felt like a filler character for the whole season and it didn't feel like she added much in terms of character interactions/drama. she had her whole fake boyfriend schtick, and the “nice girl” thing but I feel like she really wasn't an important/compelling enough character to make it to the finale

Duncan - one of the better choices so far, but still not great, in my opinion. the chemistry for this finale is just wonky, I feel like duncan has some great finalist potential but it wasn't it

TDWT

Alejandro & Heather

probably the only final 2 I dont have any complaints about. this rivalry was great. world tour had iffy writing, but there was some good buildup between these two, and it’s nice to see heather come so far. the volcano scene where heather tricked him?? iconic. not a huge fan of the 3rd-6thish place choices but we got where we needed to be with this final two. wish heather got to keep the money though

TDROTI

Cameron & Lightning

dont remember anything ab the finale including who won when I watched it. but im not really a fan of cameron making it this far when it feels like a lot more tougher/more dynamic characters easily could've beat him. didn’t like lightning initially but im warming up to him. this season overall is really forgettable to me so idk what conclusion to draw here

TDAS

Mike & Zoey

ughhhhhhhh. these two were kept on for way too long, fresh, your favoritism is showing. this whole finale was whack. would've been great to see a courtney v. scott or courtney v. gwen finale (okay maybe im the one with favoritism but I want courtney to make it to a finale pleaseeee)

TDPI

Sky - dont remember the second half of this season too well, but I do like how motivated sky’s character is, and I definitely think she deserved her spot at the finale

Shawn - dont get me wrong, i like shawn. I think he was written well for having such a huge zombie gag going on, he’s still a likable and compelling character, at least in my opinion. but... I think jasmine shouldve had this spot in the finale. I dont remember how she was eliminated but I think her v. sky would've been really interesting

TDRR

Police Cadets - absolutely. I love them. macarthur can be annoying half the time but she’s still lovable, and they balance each other out, especially after macarthur realizes how badly her choices can hurt sanders and is more aware. idgaf ab those random lines with brody, these two are lesbian coded and theres nothing you can do about it. “we were already partners”?? beautiful. I think they worked hard and really deserved this. the only downside is that they’re training to be cops

Surfer Dudes - I have... mixed feelings. there could have been a lot worse choices. what really gets my noggin going is them coming back to the game so late. it feels like they didn’t quite earn their spot. but then again, they were only able to come back because they purposefully lost to be fair to the best friends in that cave challenge. while the timing is not my favorite, I like that the guys who were always kind to others and played by the rules no matter how their competition treated them won. I just think it’s a good message to send

Worst Total Drama character per season?

oof that’s a hefty question haha... it’s hard cause typically I enjoy each character to some degree or at least for what they bring to the table/dynamic of the season? let me think....

TDI: I would say Courtney cause she was the character I disliked the most but then again she still HAS character so I’d have to say Beth is the worst cause I just.... find her so bland and uninteresting?

TDA: would say the same as above honestly tho Courtney did a 180 for me and became a character I enjoyed when she was playing more the antagonist role for the later half of the season lol I know a lot of people who liked her hated that but it only made me actually like her idk something about her being insufferably whiny was entertaining to me. Beth is only worse this season and she really should have been outed instead of Lindsey (still very salty Beth made it all the way to the final when it should have been Lindsey >://// )

TDWT: this was a good season and def my fav overall so it’s hard to pick who was “worst” out of it? Harold maybe?? he’s always been lower on my list of characters I like so I wasn’t torn up seeing him go pretty early on *shrug* I’d also maybe say Duncan? he’s entertaining enough but I’ve never overly cared for him in any season (so the ending portion of TDA wasn’t great for me since it was p much all characters I didn’t care for ffff)

TDRotI: egh it’s probably easier to list the people I liked lol.. this season didn’t have many good characters in my opinion... like I can’t say I dislike them but I don’t find them as good as the original cast? I loved Sam and Dakota and enjoyed Scott being the worst at trying to be a villain lol everyone else was just very meh to me...

All Stars/Pahkitew: I actually....didn’t finish either of these season haha.... AS I know is garbage but I was having fun watching Pahkitew but fell out of it at some point... no one really sticks out as really bad but also no one really sticks out as someone I loved either??

TDRR: this was the season they finally got their groove back I think and I really enjoy all the characters to some degree at least. I feel like they all at least brought something to the show that was interesting/entertaining. I do wish the show had more like down time?? we didn’t get to see the characters interact much across teams it felt like so I don’t feel as connected to them as we got to be in past seasons. I do feel the finale was kinda weak unfortunately which sucks when the rest of the season felt very strong... which leading back to the original question might be because I didn’t care much for The Police Cadets? like they weren’t bad but *shrug* idk who I would have put in the final over them but would have preferred a different team I think...

(sorry I could only give a straight forward answer for like the 1st two seasons really ffff like I said I do like most of the characters to some degree at the very least)

I had a dream there was another season of Total Drama that was pretty much All Stars two, but it had, like, three teams and some cast members from TDPI and TDRR. I remember Zoey, Gwen, Courtney, Heather, Izzy, Eva, Tyler, Leshawna, Alejandro, Scarlett, the police cadets, the sisters, Jasmine, the goths, the ice skaters, Sky, DJ, Lightning, Jo, Cameron, and Lindsay, which wasn’t all of them but a lot considering it was a dream.

Chris hosted it but Blainely and Don were also there just to criticize his hosting skills? Also Geoff and Bridgette still did aftermath.

Excluding Carrie and Devin’s brief cameo in the “DramaRama” episode “Invasion of the Booger Snatchers”, I have one thing on my mind about “The Ridonculous Race” and “DramaRama”. While the race focused on the Police Cadets (MacArthur and Sanders) rivalry with Ice Dancers (Jacques and Josee), MacArthur was the only one from the four to appear (as of now) on “Total DramaRama”. Neither Sanders nor the Ice Dancers have appeared at all on “DramaRama”.

This reminds me of how Geoff was the only Killer Bass to appear and compete on “The Ridonculous Race”. Knowing how they are like a clique (referring to how close DJ, Duncan, Geoff, Bridgette, and Courtney were), Geoff would be the only person from that team to be on TDRR. Bridgette was intended to be on TDRR as the season’s returning female, but she was on a surfing tour at the time.

TDRR Winner Predictions

I just realized that I’m about a third of the way through my blind liveblogs of The Ridonculous Race! To celebrate, I’m going to take a moment to predict (based on the remaining cast) the top three teams I think are most likely to win at this point.

3. Jacques and Josee, the Ice Dancers

They’re one of the teams with the most personality and a diverse range of skills stemming from their gymnastics training, making them a viable duo for victory. However, their main antagonist vibes -- especially from Josee -- put them at the bottom of this list.

While it’s not unheard of for the main antagonist to win a season of Total Drama (Alejandro’s ending of World Tour), most of the time they last late into the game, get kicked off within the final four with a side order of karma, and don’t get an ending (Heather in Island, Courtney in Action, Scott in Revenge of the Island, Sugar in Pahkitew Island). Based on this trend, I feel like the same thing will happen to the ice dancers. That said, I’d like to repeat: the ice dancers winning is not impossible, and their skills give them a good chance at the gold. It would be interesting to see them pull an Alejandro.

Then again... with how they’ve been doing, I can’t imagine a more karmic way for them to go than in third or fourth place if the road to Hell is paved in bronze....

2. MacArthur and Sanders, the Police Cadets

I’m sure it’s pretty obvious I have a bias for the cadets at this point, and that’s partly because I love their duality and personalities (especially MacArthur and her over-the-top awesomeness). That said, I genuinely think -- even without my bias -- that these two stand a good chance of winning this thing. Their police training gives them a physical edge, they’re a pretty tight team in spite of their differences, and they certainly have the chops to pull through to the end.

I think -- if they could just become a little bit tighter and more understanding of one another -- they could absolutely be deserving of the win. Character development would definitely need to take place, but with so much of the season left, I think it could happen!

And yet, MacArthur is reckless -- very, very reckless -- and that may end up costing them towards the end.

1. Jay and Mickey, the Adversity Twins

Underdog victory, anyone? With how these two have been set up, I can see their team at the very least pulling a Cody and getting so much farther than anyone would expect.

...But, more than that, I can see them going farther and pulling a Cameron for the win!

They’re a sweet pair of boys and, while they may not be the strongest or smartest team and have many -- many -- many issues, they A. have cool, unexpected skillsets (such as Mickey’s immunity to venom) and B. and more importantly, their team is stable. Unlike the ice dancers or the police cadets or even the best friends (which I would have put on here if I extended this to a top five), Jay and Mickey don’t have prospective tension that could tear their team apart. They’re extremely supportive of one another and have yet to let arguments or misunderstandings cause them their concentration.

Perhaps when I’m about another third of the way through the season (episode 17 or 18 or so), I’ll reblog this post with an updated list and/or thoughts.
