TAWOG SEASON SEVEN CONFIRMED AT THE ANNECY FESTIVAL??? APPARENTLY??

With the announcement of a seventh season a while back, I've been wondering how TAWOG will handle picking up where The Inquisition left off or if it'll completely ignore it and just go on as if nothing happened, though before that was the announcement of a movie and a follow-up series, which just makes things more confusing

Oh god, I don't even know what is going on with this show anymore. First we were left with that cliffhanger, then the movie was announced in 2021, along with a new series. Then the movie was canceled thanks to the infinite wisdom of David Zaslav and HBO Max. They said that they were "shopping it around to other outlets" but they announced this back in September of last year and we haven't heard anything about it being picked up anywhere else so that's probably not a good sign. However, some of the Gumball team made an appearance at Annacy Animation Festival in June. No word on the movie but they did say something about a seventh season, like you mentioned. I have no idea what they're going to do with the cliffhanger dude, I don't know if they're going to address the cliffhanger or not, I don't know if season seven is going to replace the movie or if we're going to get both, I don't know if the original creator is going to be involved, I don't know anything. I'm as confused as you are. Oh well, there is a reason I wrote my own version of the finale as "It's Over When It's Over" So I'm going to treat that as if it were the finale until someone official says otherwise.

so in early 2020 i was part of a now very dead gumball centric server.

one day we just got really bored and for reasons beyond my compreshion, created a whole fake season in which the whole point was to throw all logic out the window. and also the joke was to focus on minor characters

and we jokingly talked about it with the same level of fandom enthusiam we would a with a real show.

here is a brief summary of said events that took place in this fictional season seven

-rocky saved everyone from the void as a heroic gesture

-everyone got sent to space jail

-sussie is a space pirate who speaks 16 alien langugaes

-gumball is dating hector

-peter pepperoni and ocho are a thing

-idaho rap battles in a massive space tourament

-the queen of darkness possessed lesile, who became a cannibal known as dirty Alex

-she was defeated but still lives on in william

-richard died as the cottontailed calivar

-tobias died

-fuzzy came back as a villain and became a tumblr sexyman with a shit ton of apologists.

-clayton became the king of mars
