anyways. got tired of that whole "being sick" and "resting" thing so i made a tierlist! enstars characters and what i think their best/favourite style of competitive dance would be
explanations/notes under the cut if you're interested whatsoever in my thought process
ballet: starting with the obvious ones we've got izumi (canonically did ballet) and then the mfers who seem to have obvious ballet training (fushimi, shu). the other 4 i can't explain aside from like. vibes. look me in the eyes and tell me that adonis wouldn't absolutely kill it with the jumps expected of guys in ballet. hokuto has the prince vibes necessary for like every pas de deux ever! i think tomoya would get lifted a lot. and i think midori could do the lifts
jazz: there's like three threads of reasoning behind every character here. either 1) they aren't rigid enough for ballet but benefit from the structure and technique of jazz, 2) have the Energy for it. the Sass or 3) have the other kind of Energy for it (energetic/jumpy/etc.)
contemp/lyrical: i feel the need to point out that i accidentally put 4/5 of la mort here. Not On Purpose. (worth also noting that noir neige's choreo falls loosely in the vein of contemp/lyrical) kuro and tatsumi might be weird ones but hear me out i think they would both benefit from the looser amounts of freedom and ability to express yourself that contemp and lyrical have. how directly it is used to express emotion, particularly Sad or Upsetting ones
tap: now i'm biased because My favourite style is tap but i think everyone here either has the natural rhythm to understand tap from a musicality point of view or they would be able to make the rhythms of tap make sense to them in a logical way. (also i think tori did tap? in the fine vs. trickstar DDD match?? at least it sounded like it in the anime) specifically for hajime i think he would find it easier to just have to coordinate two of his limbs instead of his entire body at all times until he eventually gets better body control via dancing more because lord knows i was also like that,
hip hop/street: mostly self explanatory! tsumugi is there because of the brilliant smile music video are u kidding me. who taught him to fucking breakdance. i think shinobu would be surprisingly good at it because he's got good body control and would be good at picking up specific details of choreography! and i think aira just deserves to have cool moments
improv: barring the canonical one (leo tsukinaga ur insane) these are all guys i think have a lot of natural creativity and talent and would love to just fucking go at it with any song! they get to express themselves and their dance style and knowledge in arguably the most raw way possible on a competitive stage
musical theatre/variety: if you've never seen musical theatre/variety at a Dance Competition let me tell u this is some of the funniest most over the top shit ever. anyways. wataru is here bc he's the theatre bitch (otherwise he'd be in ballroom or jazz) and chiaki is here because he is so over the top (otherwise he'd be in jazz or hip hop)
ballroom: i can't see them doing any competitive styles and feeling comfortable in them. that is why this tier exists. they'd both do ballet tho if they HAD to choose one bc it has the necessary structure/similar expectations of elegance and poise

My vote is definitely for Okutama! I've had the worst luck getting to Daiko lately because it's constantly closed when I get there. I'll organize on my end and bring out a few different cars for him to see.

Tatsumi PA @ Shutoko Wangan - Part 3
There are no official or organized days or nights for Tatsumi congregations, except perhaps for the casual arrangements friends make. Though Friday and Saturday nights have in the past been popular, the recent warm weather seems to have Tatsumi filling up with interesting machines most nights of the week.
Recent nights have included GT-R collections, racing Porsche, and the regular appearance of gauche fire-spitting Lamborghini gilded with wraps and look-at-me neon lights.
The PA is designed to allow cars to stop for a rest break, and for the overnight truck drivers to sleep safely off the main expressway. Like the residents in the nearby apartment towers, the truck drivers often take exception to the Lamborghini narcissists, and often call the police on the noise makers.
On at least one occasion we’ve seen a truck nerf a car parked in the wrong space.
Like much too in Japan, no space is wasted, with the space under the PA being used to house Nexco service and emergency vehicles.

What happen with @stickydiljoe‘s The Chronicles Tokyo Night Meet Akihabara UDX? What is Daikoku PA and how do you get there? Part 5 will be about Joey Lee’s Chronicles Tokyo Night Meet and Daikoku PA.

So what happen with Joey Lee’s The Chronicles Akihabara UDX Meet? If you haven’t been following @stickydiljoe’s blogs, shame on you, but what had happened was… the meet was shut down before it even started. The Chronicles has a huge following in Japan so if there was a meet, you needed to be there early… The Akihabara UDX meet was set from 10PM to midnight on Saturday 1/14/17 and it didn’t help that the Super Street Fresh Tokyo Meet was on the local Tokyo news a few days before… (blaming Sam Du for this). I did happen to get a few photos from Akihabara UDX…
The LEVEL one guys have some of the cleanest and lowest rides I’ve seen like this Mazda RX7 FC3S…

White R34 GTR at Akihabara UDX…
I really would’ve liked to stay a bit longer at Akihabara UDX, but Evan, Enrique, and Joseph were waiting outside parked on the street trying to get into the garage. The garage had closed by 8:30 PM and the street had a bunch of cars parked to the side waiting to see where to go next. The police had actually started telling these parked cars to move and that’s when Evan drove us to Daikoku Futo…
Even though I’ve been to Japan a few times, I’ve never been able to hit up Daikoku PA because I didn’t really know anyone with a car or didn’t want to bother anyone…
The drive to the Daikoku PA is pretty cool if you’re a fan of Wangan Midnight… Check out a clip of the arcade game HERE…
To get to Daikoku Futo, you need to a.) drive there yourself b.) take a cab and risk getting stuck there c.) get a ride from someone in Tokyo. Personally, I would recommend getting a ride.
Luckily, Evan aka @wandering_texan was kind enough to take Enrique, Joseph, and I to Daikoku PA…
We finally arrived to Daikoku PA (Parking Area) and it was unusually packed, more than usual according to Evan…
Evan and his RB powered Stagea Wagon…
Daikoku PA is really dark, but you can get by with a fast prime lens. I’m using a 35mm f1.4 lens and it barely passes good image quality because of the high ISO I’m at. I’d recommend a camera and tripod setup but I like to shoot quick and travel light…
Maybe it’s the red color but this MK IV Supra JZA80 with Ridox kit on 20” Advan GT wheels caught my eye…
This JZA80 build is actually by Auto Garage HKY in Kanagawa Prefecture…
The problem with shooting shallow depth of field in low light is focusing… looks like my lens backfocused a bit here…

If you want to beat the terrible AF system on shallow DOF lenses, you can use any available light to focus on the subject like this R34 Sedan lowered on TE37’s…
Walking around you would see all types of stuff out of the norm… I honestly have no idea what this is but it looked like a sedan for important people…

If there’s one place you have to go, I’d really recommend going to Daikoku PA in the evening… I mean check out all those subs. They were playing some rad music at one point…
Then I found these guys with the LED strips…
Even though it was 30F or -1C , the atmosphere was really energetic thanks to the dancers, music, and lights…

Joseph got thirsty while taking in the Daikoku PA experience…
Imagine all these vans and kei cars in a row blasting with 10+ subs each… my ears were done…
I mean Daikoku PA can be a romantic place to go to, right?
Eventually, the patrol came by and asked for people to leave. This was around 11PM and it seemed any and all car related meet spots were shut down as well…
Evan dropped us off for the night in Odaiba where we barely made the last few trains back to our Airbnb… Thanks for the ride bro!
Summary for car meets in Tokyo, I’d recommend for you to go to:
1. RWB Meeting in Roppongi (Usually night before Tokyo Auto Salon)
2. Super Street x Hardcore Japan Fresh Tokyo Meet (Usually announced when staff is in Japan)
3. Joey Lee / Stickydiljoe’s The Chronicles meet (Randomly announced when he’s in Japan)
4. Akihabara UDX parking garage (Itasha and other nice random cars)
5. Daikoku PA / Umihotaru PA / Tatsumi PA (you will need rides to get here and there isn’t always a big turnout, but something interesting is always there)
