Interesting to me that the one anon said mcd was serious all the time? Like that certainly started to become a problem into season 3 but even then I thought eating cookies in hyria's house when they were having a conversation was funny just because the Minecraft eating noises.

(I didn't like that episode but that's besides the point). Doesn't Laurence say Candenza looks like a walking garbage can? Tablemau is really the only one that gets memed but are we forgetting the Neapolitan villages where there was literally a trio of villages named strawberry chocolate and vanilla? "Oh I'll have Raven deliver this" "oh cool you have a delivery Raven?" "Huh? No, I'm talking about my dragon named Raven" The entire character of the chicken shaman? Even Chad?

Once again, in season 3 and even late season 2 it does start taking itself WAY too seriously for its own good and it loses a lot of the charm and humor. But honestly I'd say early to mid season one has too many jokes and the tone is too light for its own good. There are so so many PATENTLY ridiculous things in mcd did I just misread that ask or something?

when I first watched mcd aaron got on my nerves for some reason?? and in the other series, he just annoyed me

but now the thing I dislike about him is the jason-effect I guess. as long as I remove him, I'm pretty okay with asrons character like the trauma stuff is interesting and heartbreaking but as long as I put on my like horse blinders I'm fine

that's it, it's boring af! The fan art is cool, the aesthetic is fun but it's SOOOO dang serious like ALL the time, that one tablemau joke is the only one I can remember ever happening. And mcd is what got me into aphmau! The side stories are the only ones I regularly rewatch. Also at least while mystreet and her other roleplays are cringe they are also camp and rewatchable!

You know, I think I've figured out why I used to dislike shipping so much.

As with other things that I've gotten used to, I would feel really uncomfortable with the idea of it, although not as much whenever the people being shipped acknowledged it in a non-negative light. Possibly, my lack of experience (other than talking once or twice about tablemau after watching MCD) with shipping is why I didn't really like it.

I'm not even sure how to say it, but to put it in short (yeah right, whenever I actually get onto a topic, I'll write so many paragraphs worth of it), I probably didn't like shipping 'cause it was something I wasn't used to (cue song "I can't handle change" by ROAR), but after subjecting myself to it over and over again for months, I guess I could handle it better than just muting people doing scarian on twitter.

You know, I'm not even sure why I'm writing this.

Maybe I just wanted to say something.
