You know what's something that I have been thinking about

in between being mad about how my girl was treated in story mode

How her life is going to finally take a new meaning that isn't necessarily being a tool for an ending. Guarding the tomb and protecting the world from Azazel is all she's known since she became an assassin for her people, like that's what she was supposed to only do and she accepted her fate no matter what that meant. But I really wonder if they prepared her for a fate that didn't ended in death and nothingness, if they ever explored the possibility of a success that involved surviving it all.

What life is supposed to be for her now that all her priorities have been taken care of? Of course, she needs to rest and recover. I assume something like being a literal half containment vessel and having that powerful being stripped from your soul is going to be very damaging to the body and the mind, and Zafina needs and deserves nothing more than a break. Bed rest, warm sheets, fluffly pillows, the works. She will need to recover before she even dares to think what's next, but when that moment comes?

Returning home to her people and her village, or whatever's left of that? Or finding a new home, a new place to settle for a little? Or traveling to areas and places she's never been before because of how dedicated and delicated her life purpose is?

Doing things she didn’t had time to even think about. Meaningful friendships with those she found herself allied to? Romance and love and relationships? Or is she too used to being alone because of where her focus had to be?

Her powers as a seer came before Azazel being an active threat so she could continue being a psychic in the market. Would she be ready to get up and run to save humanity again if another threat appears through visions?

There’s so many things I wanna explore for her future I just can’t wait

About Leroy and Feng, I agree. I don't mind Leroy getting more relevance. I think he's neat. But I feel like he's replacing Wang, is that just me? He even has interactions with Xiao. Hell, even Lili knows him. Kind of seems they wanted to make a connection to the Bloodline anime.

I like Leroy's character just fine. But not only does he have interactions with Xiao, but it's implied that he's trained her in the past or something iirc???? Which I thought was weird. Namely because of Wang's existence, and you know... The school she went to.

But either way, I don't really mind that. What I did mind was the Feng fight could've definitely been given to Asuka instead to make her feel a little more relevant as well as tie up loose ends.

Whilst I'm still pretty certain Bloodline is noncanon, I do think they did take some inspiration from it which is what Harada said. (but you know, Harada lies often, especially if it's to hype up their new thing.) Both with Leroy and Jin, Jin being good again, Jin using Kazama style moves at one point, yada yada.

e8,,, i have,,, i really can't get over that opening scene honestly. i just think that it was unnecessarily cruel and really unfunny. jihyun and aeri being petty is a thing we root for when the person deserves it or it's harmless and that was honestly neither.

yes obviously their classmate was Also being petty and awful after but like. that's a character choice. and i am talking about a meta choice. we cannot ignore the drag elephant in the room right? there is a clear 'this is supposed to be funny because this man is in a wig and makeup and heels' that i am very much not making up. especially not with that itaewon comment (and.... like..... the comment on its own aside and that is a big ask, i don't know if 'halloween party reject' combined with 'itaewon' is really the combination of insults you want to be going with if i am 100% honest. i don't know how long ago this was filmed and i sincerely doubt that's intentional but. it's just not,,,,, great,,,,) it really. i don't know if i'm the person to express this properly bc i keep fighting off the urge to soften the statement. but. i'm disappointed, really and honestly

i like jihyun's character direction. i really do, i think it suits him and he deserves it. i like it, that sarcasm and being kind of a bitch (affectionate) was something he wanted to do before but didnt feel comfortable about

jihyun's boss continues to be the best character

ahhh seo jaewon. yeah i think we all predicted 'i have to get out of his life' coming but it pains me. i think jihyunnie said it for all of us, that he's trying to be understanding of him, but. really. baby you owe him at least more than what you gave. i… i get it though. i do. :(

sigh. i.... i really did sour on it after that e8 opening. i don't think i'm overreacting i think that was beneath this show and it really. upset me

i've still got the episodes downloaded, i just.... i just really feel gross about that

omg i hate being negative and nitpicky and whitsun is my favorite seasonal event, but i can't say i really understand why we needed a new augment category with ONLY weapons... which is already the second most bloated equipment category after companions (although companions obviously have a much bigger bloat. because of festivals like whitsun.).

what i loved about the sartorial augment items is that they offer useful and stylish options for equipment slots that are otherwise really underserved, like the boots and furcoat that are both useful AND can just be fun on an rp outfit (or as insp for your character's outfit in art or writing, even if you don't maintain an actual rp outfit slot). so getting nothing but goofy weapons feels kind of like a step back when that category already HAS a ton of weird and funny objects available. ok i'm done complaining.
