Yngsjömordet (1966)

Based on the infamous Yngsjö murder case where Per Nilsson and his mother Anna Månsdotter murdered Per's wife, Hanna Johansdotter. Mother and son had carried on an incestuous relationship, and Per married Hanna Johansdotter to cover it up, but jealously ensued. The circumstances around the crime are not entirely clear. They were both sentenced to death, although Per's sentence was later converted to life imprisonment and penal labour due to the incestuous abuse he'd suffered from his mother. Anna was the last woman to be executed in Sweden.
