Testing a few different things with this one

it’s been four months since December 2022 and I’m still not over the fact that Reigen was apparently so haunted by guilt from that one time in S2E2 where he scolded Mob for eating too many french fries that it showed up in the super emotionally charged eyecatcher montage during the series finale.

I wonder if reigen will ever find the closure he needs to free himself from the poltergeist of regret that obviously follows him around as a result of this incident. the confession incident really had reigen re-evaluating everything from the past three years.

#okay but this is such an ‘emotionally repressed but also sensitive and doting family member’ thing #it’s hard to explain #but my dad is a gruff and rough-n-tumble farmer man #but he’s also very sensitive and doting #so sometimes he will say something kind of blunt or tease me or scold me over something #and it really won’t even be that bad #but he will sit there for the next couple of hours and stew over whether or not he hurt my feelings #like that shit will haunt him until eventually he calls me and apologizes #bc he’s sensitive but also not super in touch with emotions so he’s not sure where the boundaries are sometimes #and by that point i will have mostly forgotten what even happened in the first place #but i always get the post-joke/scolding regret call #especially bc i was always a kid who was very sensitive to rejection #i dunno if this makes any fucking sense #it’s just very ‘emotionally repressed family member’ core #the girls who know will know #mp100 #mob psycho 100 #shigeo kageyama #reigen arataka

"You remind me of my little brother sometimes, Kageyama."

"Huh?"

"Yup! He's still in middle school, but he's only a year younger than you. He's *also* a little prodigy." Sugawara's chuckle was warm. Kageyama was going to miss it. He couldn't *really* say that he made friends with all his teammates, but as a senpai, he secretly considered Sugawara his favorite.

"Though, my brother is into debate, rather than volleyball. Our parents are already planning his political future. They're aiming for Prime Minister, of course."

"... That doesn't sound like me at all?" The unsaid question was punctuated with the *bap* of the ball against his arms. His mouth and brows pinched, trying to piece together whatever puzzle Sugawara had presented him.

"Well, two are more different than similar. Like, I think I took all the tall genes before he could get them. He's still so small, it makes me feel really nice coming home to him after spending all day with you giants. I hope he never grows up, he's really cute!"

"Suga-san."

"Dang it, lost the lead again," Sugawara had the decency to at least sound apologetic, even if he was still smiling, after a year, Kageyama still hadn't figured out why Sugawara had so many different kinds of smiles. "You and my brother, you both work so hard, you know? And you inspire me to work hard, to be braver and fight for what I want."

Kageyama's cheeks felt warm. He decided to blame the setting sun, and not the praise. "Ah."

"I fully believe that the both of you can go anywhere you want in life." Sugawara caught the ball and turned his full attention to Kageyama. "I also want you both to remember me once your famous! When you get interviewed, remember to tell them Suga-senpai taught you all you know!"

Sugawara was winking at him. He was pretty sure he was being teased, but in the way meant to show affection rather than disdain. His mind couldn't help but compare the way Sugawara called him cute or made fun of him as a backwards way of praising him, to the way Oikawa would compliment him as a way of antagonizing him.

"You didn't though."

"Cheeky!!"

"Yeah," because he was. He was absolutely being cheeky. Somehow, Sugawara got him in a headlock and was giving him a noogie in retaliation. It wasn't painful, but he's *seen* bruises on Azumane's sides in the clubroom. He wasn't sure Sugawara knew how strong he was.

"Brat! You're such a brat! Just like my brother this way too!" But Sugawara didn't sound angry. It was nothing like the intense scolding he witnessed on the court. This was like when he'd complain to Daichi-san about being lumped with the trouble makers or calling Azumane a coward.

The assault didn't last long. They take a seat in the grass, by a tree. The shadows are growing longer. "You didn't teach me everything. But..." Sugawara's head is tilted toward him, attentive. "...You taught me a lot of very important things. How to communicate and pay attention to the spikers.H-how to earn their trust." Kageyama looked to the ball in his lap. "You didn't have to. We were competing for the same position. And... You made me better. Even though I'm the reason you didn't get to play a lot your third year. I'm sor-"

"Don't you dare apologize, Kageyama."

He felt himself stiffen. He was stuck in Sugawara's furious gaze. Eyes that usually felt so gentle burned him. He didn't shrink away, but he felt a little smaller.

"I got to play. Period. I got to see my team make the national stage, and maybe it wasn't exactly how I wanted it, but you guys... We were there. I've been asked why I stuck around, since I guess from an outside perspective, there was nothing in it for me. But let me assure you, Kageyama, I got *so much* out of this year. Indescribable as it is. So don't you apologize for that. Don't you apologize for your skill, for what you were able to help *our* team achieve. "

Kageyama exhaled. "You know, Sugawara-san... You remind me of someone too."

#Wow. Okay ♡#I love this episode. The animation is flawless. The drawings quality is out of the world for real.#I love this episode so much I'm so grateful so much care and dedication went to this sskk centered episode.#(Refraining to talk about what 5x03 could have been)#Sorry for repeating myself but seriously the illustrations this episode are so so pretty.#I rarely appreciate how Akutagawa is drawn in the anime but when it comes with this episode I really like how he looks too.#And Atsushi that I already like a lot in the anime on average‚ this episode is just fabulous. Handsome even.#Seriously I don't know who the animators are but I want to kiss them. This art style is one I dare say I like even more than Dead Apple–#that although is obviously more detailed is just... In comparison too rough for my personal taste?#The art style for this episode is very delicate and soft and I love it tons #And the directing is just great. No weird pacing or awkward ost choice. It's neat.#The reiterated placing ss/kk on opposite sides is neat. The lightening is likeable and especially the purple scene is super pretty.#The “don't compare me to him” scene is neat. The ss/kk final scene is AMAZING. It's gorgeous and stunning and awestriking and every other–#epitome in the world. It's like the only scene I believe turned out better in the anime that it is in the manga which is saying SO MUCH.#But it's really that good!!!!! My favourite anime ss/kk scene ever.#Aaaaaahhh please let me talk about it forever it's sooo pretty and especially poignant...#The heaven-like soft yellow light and how it contrasts with the bleak stormy background. But especially their softening features...#Man that scene. okay. Akutagawa's quiet surprise!!!! That scene is. Idk. Unfortunately chapter 88 exists–#but it's nearly the most romantic thing ever.#I'll leave it at this. It's not like the bsd animation suddenly became a masterpiece and this is still an episode–#I would say I like less than my least liked k/l/k episode (Trigger animation my beloved). I am so glad emergency vets are a thing

#tw for dog injury and mention of blood #Obi my dad's cattle dog cut himself super bad on some scrap metal in the neighbor's yard #Obi just barreled through it without any hesitation #i think my dad is going to ask the neighbor to clean it up bc it's right next to our yard #but anyway Obi was in bad shape #he was bleeding more than ive ever seen anyone bleed #he hit a vain in his back leg and i had to hold pressure the whole way to the vet #which was about a half hour (which was the closest one)#Obi is okay now #he's still at the Vet under observation #they had to sedate him so they could sew him up but I'm pretty sure he's going to be fine #he'll just have to take it super easy for the next few weeks :(#but god there was so much blood guys #i was covered in it by the time we got to the vet #i had my hand wrapped around his leg pinching the artery as tight as i could #which poor Obi did not enjoy #mind u i used to rick climb so my grip strength is above average #he also had a bad cut on his front leg and my mom was holding that #i didnt even have shoes on we rushed out the door so quickly #at the vet i left a bigger blood trail than obi did bc it was on my socks and clothes #my hands were coated in blood too :(#we grabbed a towel but i wasn't able to get it on the wound bc i was basically using my hands as a shitty tourniquet #my husband got left at home and he ended up cleaning all of the blood off the floor and he's surprised he was able to without feeling faint #my youngest brother was with him and he did almost pass out #my dad is in rough shape he just wants Obi to be okay #my dad said “i dont care how much it costs please save my dog”#which like same but also we're not exactly well off x_x or even okay financially #so it's gonna be a hard few months as we work to pay it off #so anyway how was ur Saturday night? x_x

every 3-6 months my opinon on nick locarno does a complete 180. it’s like hey buddy ✌️😁

#and that false friend kept his back turned….#here’s what it boils down to #1) pilots and esp young hotshot jet pilots are supposed to be reckless and fun and dangerous. read the right stuff #and if they get killed it’s just cuz ‘they didn’t have what it takes’ you constantly have to prove yourself. READ THE RIGHT STUFF #2) this in general is demonstrated in starfleet cuz the officers that take big risks are the ones who get rewarded for it. we see that in tn #except none of the ‘heros’ ever die or get reprimanded for their choices. cuz they always end up okay #2) nick is like 21-22 and it seems unfair to judge him super hardly for the accident #because it’s DEMONSTRATED that starfleet actively encourages this type of behavior in officers and that definetly bleeds over to the cadets #3) and well. we’ve gotten to the biggest one. even if rationally he should be a sympathie character that i can forgive.#the thing is. that you look up to your cadet officers like they are your whole entire world. they’re your leaders you’d do anything for them #but they’re also your friends. and even if nick is in the clear. i cannot for the life of me imagine being betrayed like that #BY specifically your squad leader. like with officers it’s impartial they don’t realllyyyy care about you. BUT A CADET OFFICER.#YOURE SUPPOSED TO TRUST THEM THWYRE SUPPOSED TO STAND BY YOU NO MATTER WHAT!!!! ugh #which is why first duty is sooo rough for me cuz like. man you can’t not empathize with wesley there i can’t imagine if that happened to me #i would kill myself for real. anyway. moral of this is i’m a nick hater again hashtag hater

i haven't gotten too far in the actual writing process, but i do have the basic storyline plotted, the world built (sort of), and character arcs vaguely planned (... sort of). it's coming together in my own way! this has definitely been a learning process, though -- getting up each day and choosing to write and create is HARD AS FUCK bro it's not even funny.

anyway enough of that, here is a little blurb of PROJECT AVIANCRY:

I will continue being gone for a few days, sadly my original al plan of releasing the newest chapter of The Consequence Of Imagination's Fear has also been delayed. My apologies

Can't go into detail because its hush hush not-legally-mentionable stuff but today is my fifth 12 hour no-break work day. I'm also packing to move too in a fortnight (which is a Big Yahoo!! Yippee!! I'll finally have access to a kitchen!! And no more mold others keep growing!!! So exciting!!!)
