Favorite part of sock knitting, especially if im knitting around someone else. 10 spikes no clear fabric and everything looks like it's about to fall out. It literally scares people so bad when I tell them I'm just knitting a sock lol

#pattering on the roof #I got the socks for Christmas and I wear them religiously now ngl they’re like #this rlly stretchy knit and made for plus-size girlies so they’re super comfy #but I keep like putting on a sweatshirt n shorts bc it’s like 80 here #and then I get too chilly anyway so I just throw on the socks #and I think I look kinda silly but also hot LMFAOOOOOO #this is a fit that would drive tomura crazy specifically I think

you are wise and knowledgeable in the ways of looking cute and alt. when wearing fishnets with boots, do you wear socks? under or over the fishnets?

depends on the boot and if i am being responsible, because sometimes i am lazy and will skip a sock and regret it

with a standard big clonky pair of docs i will usually throw some very short socks on over my fishnets. they are invisible but keep my feets from getting gross.

HOWEVER. you can also wear a pair of stretchy nylon knee or thigh highs underneath the fishnets. which i used to do a lot with a floral pair of blue knee highs.

#original #black fishnets over bright stretchy nylon socks is very fun okay #i actually used to have a pair of fishnet knee highs that came with a matched pair of trouser socks #and i bought it in black and blue #so i would wear one blue sock with a black fishnet over it and one black sock with a blue fishnet #i was VERY proud of myself for this and clearly still am #they got wrecked eventually and i could not find them again alas

my german short row heel is a bit wonky, and my refusal to test gauge means it's a little big, but it's done--the first thing I've knit since middle school.

We designed these Extraordinary Gossamer Stripes thigh highs with alternating mesh panels so that they can be comfortable even during the warm summer months. They're delicate going on, but are pretty sturdy when worn, and have lots of comfortable stretch. The daffodil/white and navy/black varieties are on sale til they're gone. Oh boy oh yippee! My yarn arrives tomorrow! I can knit a sock and then unravel it!

sage ⇢ what ‘medium’ of art (poetry, music, fiction, paintings, statues etc.) is the most touching to you? why do you think that is?

as someone who can't really wrap their head around music (at least... haven't really TRIED yet, but maybe i will in the future.) i think that would be the kicker for me. i guess it moves me more since i can almost absolutely wrap and conceptualize my mind around forms of writing, and ive tried almost all forms of art in some respect...

i used to play flute a lot and i was jarred that i could even read music. it still seems foreign to me? sorta. i can also play by ear and stuff but i guess the idea of decorating time with words and music that can invoke some serious responses appeals to me the most since that concept escapes me.

chamomile ⇢ what kind of things do you like receiving as gifts?

ART!! doesn't matter what kind. you can buy it from someone else, you can make it yourself, ect. if its some type of thing that you at least looked at a creator and thought 'hey they may like that' i am REALLY keen on it.

the best gifts i've ever gotten are stuff people have drawn of my characters or got because it reminded them of me. i hold onto those for life. anyways. posts the christmas gift i got last year from my best friend.

artist doesn't have any socials i can link since i believe they work exclusively through discord and is a personal friend of my bestie!! i don't wanna leak their disc....

but otherwise i LOVE stuff like this. this is my peak gift giving fav.

i only cleaned my bag out just last month to make sure i didn’t get flagged at a concert and somehow it’s heavy again

#i usually keep a change of clothes with me at all times but that was a old habit so idk why i even still do it #like i am not in anyone elses bed anymore i do not need to have it in there all the time #but then it became about anxiety like. what if i NEED a change of clothes and i look in my bag and IT’S NOT THERE #i would at LEAST have to keep a clean pair of undies and fresh socks #because of period surprises and also being a person who jumps in puddles #but i guess i don’t need a whole outfit. this is probably female socialization.#its usually just like a tshirt and a pair of those like stretchy baggy pants with the elephants on em that i got in thailand #it’s not an Outfit outfit but still i should probably break the habit. but on the other hand my bag is gigantic

I love tunisian crochet so much. I hope I find the rest of my hooks soon, I'd love to tunisian crochet a blanket or a sweater some day

#wouldn't wanna do socks bc it isn't very stretchy.#bc i have a knitting machine and also knit by hand I don't really have an interest in crocheting socks #unless they're slippers then I'll crochet a sock.#but not the kind that go in shoes. there's just better options for that imo #n i also dont love the crochet texture I think I'd hate it for socks
