HMMKAY YOU OPENED PANDORAS BOX CAUSE I. NEED. TO. TALK. ABOUT. MY. CHILDREN. 

Rhi: A genetically modified thylacine with the ability to shapeshift into a human form due to genetic gifts from her creation. She is a fixer (basically a bounty hunter type person if you will) that lives in a post-apocalyptic city in Australia where most things are extinct and humanity is circling the drain due to global warming and various environmental wars caused by said global warming. Rhi is the main character in my novel Ravage that I have been working on. 

Charlie: A carnotaurus that is female-bodied but has plumage that confuses the other carnos in her herd. She gets misgendered as male, female and both when she’s nonbinary. Charlie is basically more or less my dino sona. I’m planning on using her in a comic series where she basically is me in dino form interacting with the modern times and issues. Her colorings and such are based off of the cassowary cause I love those fruit-eating velociraptor mother fuckers. 

Zhey-Zhey: A velociraptor species of dinosaur that has similar plumage to a California scrub jay. Again, like Charlie, she’s got a lot of my personality but is more of the zippity one compared to the carnotaurus and suffers from existential dread. She’s going to be featured in the dino comic too at some point once I develop her further. 

Oracle: A wendigo oc I’ve been developing for a long time for a potential horror novel involving some twenty-somethings and a small town. Oracle is a primal being that doesn’t behave in human mannerisms. Compared to Rhi who blends in with humans to adapt, Oracle doesn’t give a flying a fuck. They are not about that life. They mostly go off animal instinct and behave animal-like. Oracle got their name from the humans in the story based on the guttural growls they make when chasing down prey. 

Zen: Basically satan aka the devil aka Lucifer. I’m developing a story based on one of my favorite songs by Bush-Everything Zen. I take the whole religious concepts about satan, Hinduism, Christianity and flip them in the novel. When he fell, Zen didn’t get imprisoned in hell but in the form, he hated most: to live and die and reincarnate as a human over and over again for eternity. With every life he lives, he’s constantly looking for his horns that his father cut off that created his halo. Over the eons monsters, humans, and other creatures have abused the powers his horns provided. He hopes that by collecting all 14 (each horn represents the 7 sins and 7 virtues and each gives powers based on it) he can break the cycle, take his vengeance on his father, and not have to reincarnate again. Zen is his current human cycles name that he goes by. He has also been reincarnated as male, female, intersex etc. and is asexual. 

Quinn: A butch lesbian in her late 20s that bumps into Zen and ends up going on a road trip with the devil to help him find his horns. They have an odd connection to each other as Zen finds out that he’s able to tap into some old powers when he is around Quinn. Quinn is a college dropout and is on the run from her old life. She’s basically going through a quarter-life crisis and then some when she meets Zen and decides to help him in order to find some purpose. She’s very serious compared to Zen who is more mischevious and a bit of a ditz. 

Emoh: A cyborg. I haven’t yet developed her enough to really gives much detail, but she’s important. 

When you are in your drage form how tall are you?

"I've tried explaining this a lot, especially to folks who haven't seen real me yet. As much as I despise being called a dinosaur, I think this visual will suffice to give one the idea."

What are some things you do that is different from humans?

"Lots of things. I can name a few for ya. Scent and touch is far more powerful than kissing when getting affection from me. Kissing is dandy in my human form, but it's more of a garnish compared to the feelings I get from nuzzling and smelling the other. I can pee standing up in both my forms despite being female bodied, the pipes work slightly different. My tongue is like having a third arm or another nose cause I can sense heat like a snake with it and grasp things. There's more than I can say."

Can you dance?

"I like to move it move it."

Can you form romantic attachments to humans?

"Again, complicated. I have dated some but it never felt right if you know what I mean. Most were a means to end to get pleasure if you catch my drift. It's kind of weird though sleeping with a species you see as a prey item most times. You gotta do what you gotta do. Full pun intended."

Would you genetically modify yourself further if you had the choice?

"No. I like the way I turned out for better or worse. If I could find a way to make living in a human body not as painful however I'd pursue that."

Rhi lives about one hundred years after the Resource Wars where water and the rest of earth’s animals and environment had been near eradicated. In Australia, the continent has been split off into different tribal cities. Rhi lives in the tribal city Ravage as a fixer, the equivalent to a bounty hunter, to make her living along with her partner Yorgi and her associate Benny Walter Morales. 

Ravage is primarily ruled by three cults: the Clubbers who have unhealthy worship of the 80s and 90s period. Dingo Snake Exy is a cult that centers around the worship of the environment, or what it used to be before the Resource Wars. Finally, there is the Dreamers or those who practice the beliefs of the Aboriginals. Most people fall in line with the Clubbers due to their eccentric lifestyle, retro fashion, and the fact that they enjoy taking a drug called genie, which temporarily gives users animal traits and a high. The culture of Ravage is much like Roman nihilism; people know their lives are fucked by wars and global warming, but they are going to have a great time going down. 

Ravage is home to one of two facility bases of Rikers Enterprises. In a way, they are the true rulers of Ravage as they genetically modify animals such as dogs and cats to be used for farming, along with trying to create creatures that can adapt to the harsh environment of the planet. Even though they are allowed such power, there are certain rules they have to follow due to what occurred during the Resource Wars, although there are individuals who have broken many policies for their own gains.

In the novel, Rhi is given a regular fixing job by someone associated with the Clubbers. Being a fixer, she remains neutral with every client unless she is paid to take them out. In taking this job she ends up dealing with the colorful and deadly characters that are in the various cults of the city and comes to find out more about her origins and where she truly stands, either being human or animal. Rhi also is faced with the difficult decision of helping to save Ravage and the people in it or let them be wiped out.
