Station 19 6x15
What in the fanfiction just happened? Like damn, I was so not ready for that. Do you think I could focus on anything besides Maya and Carina?
We finally got a shower scene and Danielle and Stefania really made the best out of it. A couple of things gagged me during this.
1. When Carina took off her pants, and she didn't have underwear? She went on a date without panties? She is a menace.
2. The way Maya put Carina's hair to the side. That kiss was hot. I don't like when they put their hand on each other faces. But I'm not complaining.
Tumblr media
3. THAT KISS. Danielle really said let me upgrade that dearborn kiss to the wife version. It was too short, but no cuts, hair, aid cars, or walls. So no complaining.
4. Carina pinning Maya against the wall
Tumblr media
4. The Neck kiss. Stefania knew we needed a scene like she had with Arizona on Greys and decided to deliver a better, sexier, and hotter version. I know Maya went to heaven and came back.
Tumblr media
5. Three things are hot in this scene: 1. Carina's smile when Maya was going down. 2. Maya keeping eye contact 3. Both of those things.
But this is my favorite shot. All that was fun but the intensity in this The way they are were looking at each other. Damn!
Tumblr media
Now the scene after that was so needed. I can't believe they gave us an actual conversation about it. Carina expressed her fears, and Maya listened and apologized.
Tumblr media
And this shot. Paris, you are a genius.
Why did they put Carina in a towel tho? So she had something to do while saying all that? She could have said those lines pacing around the room. Because it was so silly the way she was putting her clothes, like she and Maya weren't devouring each other a couple minutes ago.
Other things about the episode:
Maya giggling when she realized what Carina meant by "hot shower" she is such a loser.
Everybody looked so pretty. Maya was glowing, and I didn't know if it was because in the first part of the season, she looked rough or what. But then Andy and Vic looked so pretty, but they are pretty, so.
Then Jack was looking pretty, too (That hasn't happened since season 3 for me). Even Sullivan was looking pretty (I do think Boris is handsome). I think this is a very hot cast, and the makeup department got a raise.
What was that scene with Theo and Alexa? To let us know he is stinky? We Know.
Jaina and Barrett were amazing in this episode. This cast is so talented. I hope they get better writing next season.
Zavier came through with the writing.
I love the slow burn and the pain, but I'm gonna need Carina to put her ring back. It's not funny anymore
Danielle is directing the next episode so I don't expect to have a lot of Maya scenes, but I can't wait to see what's next for them.
People complaining about the shower scene being edited that way, with a guy dying, but I get their vision. It's the parallels of someone dying in a fire and a new life being created in a shower, by Maya getting Carina pregnant.
I'm not complaining but if we could have gotten scenes like this and kisses like that. Why they were always interrupted, and their kisses were so safe.
This is the first time I get excited about Carina wanting a baby. When she was talking about her own practice.
I'm going to stay here until the next episode, btw.

Station 19 - What Are You Willing to Lose (6x15)
Tumblr media
Just gonna talk about this scene because I feel as it was very important for Maya and Carina to have "the talk". Carina talking about her own insecurities that it is so painful for her to be back into the apartment that she doesn't feel like to be back to their apartment because of the bad memories that she had lived in here with Maya and better part of the time that she had spend alone in their bed when Maya was away at station running away from Carina.
Carina : "I wasn't the person you run too, I was the person you run from"
Maya reassuring Carina and apologizing to her and you can feel how much Carina needed to hear that. Making amends is so important not only to the person who is making amends but also to the person whom the amends are made too and that's how the healing process is start and trust and relationships are build.
Maya : "But I'm willing to put the work to rebuild us. To make us stronger and better."
Tumblr media
This little detail of Maya and Carina feelings that has been captured through mirror showing their feeling at the same time is pure masterpiece. Hands down to the director who have taught about it. These little details makes scene from better to best.
Just a theory :
What if this whole Carina not want to be back to the apartment is a build up for Carina getting pregnant and they move to new bigger house because when Marina have kids they will need a bigger house as Carina has already mentioned in the same episode that she wants to start her own practice to have more flexible schedule for the kids(she said it in 'plural' from) in future, and there has been lots of hints about kids and babies in this whole season 6 and with Station 19 getting renewed for Season 7 there is a possibility that they end this season Marina getting pregnant.
What you guys think? please do share in comment and do share if you have your own theory.

Station 19 6x15
Le sigh. ❤️
I love how giddy and excited Maya was at planning their second attempt at a second first date. I really appreciated how, when Carina said how tired she was, Maya’s first response was to say she would drive her back to her hotel to sleep - she is continually doing the work and listening to Carina.
I love the throwback to their first date at Joe’s. Some interesting dialogue from Carina about starting her own practice, talking about flexibility for “our kids... one day, hopefully, maybe...  but not right now” - this felt different to me compared to how strongly she’s talked about having kids before. I liked it - the confirmation that she still sees having kids as something she’ll do with Maya, not wanting to rush into it right now while they’re still rebuilding their marriage.
The date was cute. I like that Helm was there. I thought the three drunk ladies would be really annoying but they were ok and I love how it led to Carina and Maya talking about each other and their wedding.
“It was just me and her against the world” ❤️❤️
The shower scene was beautiful. 🔥 The love and intimacy and desire and connection between them was so clear. THE NECK KISS. Also Carina’s smile when Maya kneels down in front of her? Le sigh.
Carina’s freak out about being back in the apartment was a good reminder that, for all the work that Maya is doing, Carina still has unresolved trauma from it. I’m glad she said it out loud - about spending all those months sleeping alone, about being the one Maya was running from, not to. Oof. It won’t be a surprise if they make the decision to move into somewhere new when they’re finally ready to live together again.
I absolutely adored Maya’s dialogue in that scene: the way she apologised, the way she acknowledged that who they were is gone. This isn’t about going back to who they were, it’s about rebuilding themselves in a different way, to be different, to be stronger and healthier. I love the way Carina falls into Maya’s arms, and the way Maya holds her. It’s such a lovely moment for them. ❤️
I love how they showed up at the station at the end because of Ben’s bad day. It was a really nice station family moment.
Going back to the scene between Maya, Andy and Chief Ross... “last time I tried to play an angle, it almost destroyed my life” - I really do want to know how much Ross is aware of everything that Maya has been through and the work she has done/is doing. Even with that line, Ross looked suspicious.
The scene between Ross and the Union was interesting - I’d love to see her acknowledge that the way they treated her compared to the men in the FD is not so dissimilar to the way Maya was treated when she was demoted. I feel like it’s wishful thinking at this point. (Where was the Union when Maya was demoted, huh?)
Andy seeing Ben fall through the roof... who didn’t think of Pruitt in that moment? Ouch. And I really felt for Theo. He made the only call he could when he ordered the retreat, but that must have been so hard. It’s not easy being Captain and I’m glad both Ross and Jack praised him for it. He still didn’t have to be an ass to Vic, though. Also: f*ck Bob.
I cannot wait to see Danielle’s S19 directoral debut next ep!

Happy one week until season 7!! Here’s a fic I’ve been working on since before 6x15 aired.
Hope you all enjoy!
Maya and Carina have been on a hell of a ride, but they’re finding their way back to one another, and this time, things will be better than before.

My version of their second first date in 6x15.

Another unpopular Station 19 opinion of mine-
Contrary to many who have taken a liking on Chief Ross, I still dislike her. Mostly for her “hypocritical” views on sexism and double standards within the SFD system. I loved seeing her handling the SPD in the police brutality episode, and what she said to the SFD union about “the boys club ways” was absolutely on point. But with how she treated Maya, especially what she said to Maya about being insubordinate yet praising Andy for the exact same quality… I’m just failing to understand that both Andy’s and Sullivan’s actions were clearly against the rule/protocol, but how come Ross was oaky with them but not with Maya breaking rules to save a child?! [Excuse me for going on a tangent here, but Maya freaking saved a child’s life and helped taking down a trafficking ring breaking the rules while Ross offering Andy the captaincy for leading a mutiny, and Sullivan, who she promoted, was a drug addict who overdosed on drugs he stole from the PRT. I’m not here disagreeing with Andy’s action, nor to say that drug addiction makes Sullivan a bad person and thus forever irredeemable. Absolutely not.]
I know Maya also went on blackmailing her, but to my knowledge, that happened long after she got shut down by Ross about her demotion hearing? Not defending Maya, that girl clearly went off the wagon, and I’m glad she’s finally getting some professional help. She acknowledged how she went about the issue wrong and it almost cost her her life. That is a character growths I love seeing.
Anyways, with all these previous records, I have a hard time truly believing that this current Ross is sincerely advocating for SFD systemic change about racism, sexism, etc. All I see is a person who uses these arguments to benefit herself. Clearly I am biased, and I’m not all that invested in Ross’ storyline, so I could be totally off on reading the character. However, I just started rewatching the show, so maybe I’ll change my view on her after the rewatch?!
As much as I can’t stand Ross talking about the double standards she faced from the SFD system [again, not discrediting her being treated unfairly by the system], I still hope this character sticks around on the show. Even though I don’t like her, I still want to see more imperfect characters, especially imperfect or hard to like complex female of color characters. In my eyes, Natasha Ross is someone who’s been in the unjust and unfair system for way too long. Even though she’s aware of herself being treated as less than an equal most of her career and wants to change the system because of it, she still has a hard time actually follow through with that when her personal interests weren’t on the line. She’s a victim of the unjust system, but in a way, she’s also an enforcer/subscriber to the said system. And on top of that, Ross is a proud & ambitious woman who will do what it takes to get what she wants. I so appreciate having this type of complex “grey” characters on television.
With how the story goes, I hope as she struggles to fight her own battle against the SFD patriarchy, she’d eventually come to the realization that how she treated Maya was also perpetuating the same toxic old ways. I hope to see them both apologizing, and reconcile to the point that Ross can stop being hostile to Maya. [I’m only saying this because in 6x15, Maya seems to know that she crossed a line blackmailing her and was nervous about seeing Ross while Ross still didn’t think much of Maya and was very harsh on her. Not blaming Ross because of Maya’s previous actions and Ross might not necessarily aware of Maya’s change of heart. But so far Maya has done all the apologizing and self loathing/guilt confessions, she deserves to have her being treated and bullied unfairly apologized or at least acknowledged by the enforcer/enabler.] I hope to see Ross reinstate Maya somehow. Maya was a good captain to be in such leadership positions. I also want her and Ross to become a healthy pair of nemeses. Their ambitious and disciplined natures are a lot alike, and seeing more women in leadership respecting while competing against each other in a healthy way on tv can never hurt. I’d like to think that Maya and Ross can keep each other on their toes on the job. And once in a while when they have to work together, they’d form a solid work partnership because of their no-bullshit/get-the-job-done work ethic.
[I didn’t include Andy in this conversation because the current writings of the show only focused on building up the drama and conflicts between Maya and Ross.]
