Thinking about the Clive and Bill parallels again...
Both started with pretty average goals (gaining money / getting closure). Both became obsessed with said goals to the point of going through with their plans no matter the cost. Both became consumed by the desire to pursue a goal that isn't actually achievable (You can get more money but it will never feel like it's enough. You can lash out in anger but it won't make the anger go away). Both ended up killing innocents.
And yet.
Bill getting rid of his humanity in the hopes of getting money. Clive getting rid of his money in the hopes of getting his humanity back. Bill claiming he despises people like Clive when he has himself killed innocents for his own selfish plans. Clive claiming he hates politicians and scientists but still using science to build a mecha and politics to justify its use. Bill hiding everything, hiding from Claire that the machine isn't ready, hiding his crime from everyone. Clive exposing everything, exposing his secret base to Layton, exposing Bill and Dimitri's crime by his staging. Bill covering up the incident while Clive broadcasted his crime inside the fortress.
I don't know where I was going with this. Maybe that prime minister Bill looks like a honest citizen, just your regular Londoner really, while Clive is so obviously violent and destructive : and yet, Clive is the dove and Bill the hawk. Funny.

Chivetiger joined the clan long ago under the lead of Pinestar, but his life as a loner isn’t even a distant memory now. Though he spends much of his time alone, thinking up dialogues and stories in his head that fill his chest with pounding excitement, he is often the cat others in the clan turn to with their problems, as he always seems to have a hypothetical on how to handle everything. He’s happy to spit out his opinion on the matter, and then be left alone, no other conversation necessary. He can often be found in a shady corner, off to himself, sorting his collection of shiny rocks and mumbling softly to himself in little voices.

The scenarios(tm)#He’s so good at coming up with stories and scenarios and thinking about how things are solved. That when people ask him#He’s like oh yeah i figured that out for this story i came up with one time. Here’s your answer#And they’re like woah you’re so smart… advice prodigy…#And he IS. But not by intuition. By many years of accrued knowledge#His gender description is also directly inspired by my relationship with gender#I am me. I like some girl stuff and some boy stuff. i really like mona. it's like. well. he's a little guy...!!!
he does the whole "non human party member discovers their place in the world/with their friends" thing that the series has done before (though he's not teddie and he's definitely not aigis!) but goes hard every time.
it's neat that in a game that's so much about outcasts we have morgana who is literally a cat (or appears as one at least) who most people can't understand who doesn't even know what his own deal is. i haven't gotten to that one part of the game yet in my replay where they discuss this so no screenshots but you know what i mean!! he's like i don't fit in with you guys... and they're like bud you definitely do! (i believe this is the post-madarame hot pot scene)
the pipeline of being like hmph well im just using you that's all -> i wanna stay! this is where i belong! is cute also. maybe the real best friend is the cat we carried in our bag everywhere we met along the way
(also i don't blame ppl for being annoyed with the "lady ann" thing (persona is really weird about women!!) but it's always read as like. a silly little-brother type crush. to me. and also a joke on the whole "she's cat themed" thing. it's kind of lame/silly but shrug. bro marinated in the collective unconscious for too long so now he thinks a proper gentleman thief means having a lady friend. lmao)

ill say it again im a firm believer that ed’s (all versions of him) default state is relaxed, happy, and friendly (as opposed to grumpy, off-putting, jerky, etc). we just see him at his worst/reacting to worst case scenarios. but even 03 ed, who is Depressed Supreme, in his day to day life where we don’t see him as viewers, i firmly believe embodies that kid with a gigantic grin we see in so much official art and occasionally onscreen. and its not just a smile through the pain kind of grin. for a kid who suffers so much, i think it’s nice to headcanon him as a generally happy and optimistic person. he just gets in his moods sometimes that are the result of trauma and being a rebellious snot nosed teenager that give him Bad Mental Health Days. And of course, his hair trigger temper. But default state=happy and energetic and nice to people and quick to bounce back from bad things that happen to him because that’s just life and he likes living it
#also its easier to be a grump around ppl youre closest to so hes more inclined to let himself be in a bad mood around al or winry#sometimes ed has bad mental health days and thats not unusual to al or winry but its not his whole life#that should be obvious i feel but i wanted to state it outright because yeah lets mention that just because#03 ed has the shittiest most traumatic life hes not just miserable all the time because thats not how life is or how people are#and ed of all people knows how to bounce back from a bad mental health day with a good attitude#how else would he be able to keep going#ed is n extravert so of course the times where hes being intriverted is when hes being depressed and grumpy but thats not really him#thats the depression talking#hes an extravert! hes excitable and friendly and chatty on the average day#we just always catch him in a bad mood fkejjcje and i think thats actually a funny thought#like the other soldiers know when to stay away but then like hughes or mustang just approach him anywah#and everyone else is like ‘wow hes approaching fullmetal when hes in one of his MOODS? ok its theyre funeral. teenagers are scary’’

Hehe I was super excited to do this one but sadly I do things in order of oldest to newest BUT none the less, here you go, our favorite stupid bastards
New Jersey and New York-
Jersey likes to cuddle and York likes receiving cuddles, so it isn’t uncommon to find the two together in the North living room
Jersey = Jer-bear, York = Yorka-doodle, they never call each other these in front of others
They go skating a ton, early morning public skate and public hockey are mainly what they do
Always fighting when it comes to certain foods, specifically pizza and bagels, otherwise they are perfect with each other in the kitchen
Jersey sends York stupid stuff from Tumblr, York does the same but with Twitter
Impromptu sleepovers in York's room happen a lot, York has sleep problems and as said before, Jersey cuddles, win win sitch
They fight, a lot, technically it’s just arguments but to pretty much everyone except the NE, it sounds like fighting (granted the NE sometimes thinks they are genuinely fighting but shh)
“Murder is illegal” “You can’t murder people it’s rude” etc. are said whenever they are in the city
Despite not talking to each other for about 40ish years, they went right back to how they were before, if just a bit closer
They both fake hate each other, for no reason other than seeing the shocked faces of the other states while they simply cook breakfast together
Just Dance Night (the other states get flashbacks when ever they hear the Just Dance intro)
They like to just exist in the same space, doesn’t matter if they are doing two completely different things, they’ll continue to hang out VIRGINIA
They bet on everything, who will get to the table faster, who will make breakfast the quickest without messing up, everything
They always think to message the other first when something is happening, doesn’t matter if the sitch doesn’t really need the other, they still will
Since Jersey still speaks fluent Dutch and York has his broken messed up Dutch that Jersey understands, they will ‘gossip’ to each other in front of the other states
When they do that, they are really just talking about dinner plans and what movies they should see, but in the most condescending and judgmental tone they can
Movie dates, any movie whether they think it’ll be good or not
They sometimes come of as very big and little brother coded, York being the older while Jerseys the younger, when in reality it’s switched
Jersey finds it hilarious whenever people think he and York are dating, they aren’t, they consider each other brothers and technically are, York always wants to kill the people who do think they are dating, “Murder is Illegal Yorkie” he doesn’t care
Family dinners are once a month with Jersey’s moms and occasionally not, father, father, and York's grandparents
They have so much dirt on each other that if one says something so will the other, you know the nuclear deal between America and Russia? Yeah it’s basically that but with blackmail
If one’s sick the others clingy, if one's sad the others clingy, if one-
They like to dance with each other, even if there’s no music (it’s mainly spinning without music though)
Jersey has bad English days sometimes, so York will translate, on those days they tend to just haul up in York's room and put on a random Hockey game
