Elliott’s Immersive Wedding Mod v.2.0.0 is now up and ready to play!

Explore 3 new wedding day events with Elliott, including a wedding reception hosted at the Stardrop Saloon, as well as 2 intimate events with Elliott at home (PG - PG 13) in between events, and much more!

This new update also features new sprites and portraits based off my other mod, Elliott Scottish Wedding Kilt, as well as edited marriage dialogue with a little Scottish Gaelic affection sprinkled in.

Your choices in-game will affect your relationship with Elliott, as well as open up different opportunities for new events, revealing vanilla-based character growth for Elliott throughout your time together in Pelican Town.

Elliott is an ISFP who is quirky, grandiose, and romantic but also largely misunderstood by others. In the beginning, his superficial traits tend to rub people the wrong way (melodramatic, vain, and “life-is-a-stage” type attitude) but getting to know and befriend him over the course of the game, we come to see him as a deeply passionate and highly motivated person, who is unapologetically true to himself and his values, despite the odds and adversity. Throughout your friendship, you see Elliott come out of his shell more and engage with the others around him, despite his history of rejection and discouragement.

Though much of his personal growth can be seen through heart events, dialogue, (and stalking him around town), I wanted to delve deeper into his character and explore how his choice to move to Pelican Town has shaped his personal growth, including his relationship with others in town - and most importantly - his relationship with the farmer, from friendship to marriage.

things i think the vyotous can do / have :

always know if they are at sea level or above / below it . like to think its a biological thing

three hearts , you stabbed one ? but did you stab the other two ????

like squids always know which direction is up even in the darkest parts of the ocean , they always know which way is north .

can handle below freezing temperatures . but too cold they will go into more of a hibernation state .

alpha / nobles horns will keep growing and must be sawed down or clipped to not get too large . if they don’t they run the risk of snapping painfully or curling into your skull . gods handmaid , valtiel , never cut her horns as a sign of her devotion to god but her horns turned into her skull and through her eyes but vahymn keeps her alive .

disorders / conditions and illnesses show different in vyotous . some won’t affect them all

vitiligo within a vyotous the skin would turn a blueish black rather than white . instead under pigmentation they seem to gain over pigmentation .

albinism still affects the eyes , but instead of pinkish / red they are blue . hair would be purplish / blue rather than white as well . skin would be pale , but ofc blue undertone .

sicknesses that are passed by bodily fluids ( blood , sexual fluids , spit , ect ) do not affect the vyotous, as they have a different chemical make up .

there is a plague in varule created by a mage in effort to directly kill out the deformed . it failed , but now a plague sweeps through varule’s districts . more so in lower class districts . it functions much like the black plague , turning skin black .

culture shit .

i don’t think they bury their dead ? i think sending them off to sea / feeding them to whales would work better as whales eat squids and another important symbol in their culture is whales ? something something circle of life something something return from where you came from .

that being said one friend told me it would be fucked up in the deformed were turned into chum when they died based on a fucked up mod from stardew valley ajsdkll

when getting married , the one partner would not be allowed to touch the earth for three days and would have to be carried everywhere by the person they are marring until their wedding day where they are carried to the sea / a pool of ocean water .

no wedding rings -- but two vyotous getting married they would carve each others initials into each others horns . if they are marrying someone who has no horns than tattoos would be used for both parties .

Sebastian’s Immersive Wedding mod is now officially launched and ready to play!

Explore 2 new wedding-based events with Sebastian, including unique wedding décor options, as well as an intimate (optional) pre-wedding event (**CW**) with Sebastian the night before your wedding ceremony.

(**CONTENT WARNING**) This mod contains references to neglect/abuse, parental abandonment, depression, toxic family dynamics, trauma, substance abuse, and coarse language. User discretion is advised. See Mod Description on Nexus for more details.

This mod is based off of my previous wedding outfits mod for Sebastian, Sebastian Dutch-Romanian/Dutch-Vietnamese Wedding Outfits (which as of v1.0.0 is optional). However, the décor is available regardless of whether you have the mod installed or what outfit Sebastian is configured to wear to the ceremony.

More about this mod:

Sebastian is an INTP who is reserved, morose, and blunt, but also incredibly pensive, thoughtful, and – despite his best efforts to hide it- sensitive and caring. In the beginning, Sebastian comes across as your typical Emo/goth boy who enjoys darkness, isolation, and cryptic communication. But, as we spend more time with Sebastian throughout the game, we see that his ‘loner’ lifestyle isn’t necessarily something he chose for himself – but rather, it was a self-preservation tactic he adopted to survive his family’s toxic dynamic. Throughout your friendship, we see Sebastian reveal more about his family, his life, and past childhood experiences. Once you’re married to him, we do get to see Sebastian slightly more affectionate with the farmer in his dialogue; however, we don’t get to see how Sebastian’s relationship with the farmer influenced any significant (positive) change in his life or see him open up to the farmer in a meaningfully emotional or vulnerable way.

And because we don’t get to see that transformation in-game, unfortunately, the relationship Sebastian has with the farmer often comes across as a co-dependent partnership rather than a healthy, mutually beneficial one. With this mod, I wanted to delve deeper into Sebastian’s character and explore his journey of self-discovery and personal growth throughout his relationship with the farmer (regardless of whether you decided to marry him or not). Though this mod does go into some dark territory, I believe Sebastian’s story is something a lot of people can relate to and have experienced to some degree in their lives [myself included]. There is no magic fix for the complex family problems many of us were born into, and it can be discouraging when (well-meaning) friends or acquaintances insist that there is. It can often feel like we’re alone in our suffering or that no one can understand what we’re going through.

But we’re not alone. And we don’t have to go through our healing journey alone, either.

We may not get to choose our parents or our childhoods, but we can choose how we respond to them. When we do, start taking control of our own lives, find empowerment and responsibility in our own choices, and develop the support network that we need, so that we can create the kind of life we want and deserve for ourselves. It's never an easy journey, but it is a worthwhile one.

And for Sebastian, facing his painful childhood and upbringing, including the absence of his biological father, is a hard but necessary step in creating the kind of life he wants for himself – one with the farmer by his side, forever.

(Viewing Music: Sunflower- Harry Styles) A portrait of Haley from Stardew Valley with sunflowers. Based on my cultural wedding mod for Haley on Nexus. I’ve been wanting to paint this portrait for a while, and was super excited when the timing worked out to do it.

Emily’s and Haley’s family is Russian-Ukrainian in my mod cannon, and I didn’t realize this at the time, but not only are sunflowers one of Haley’s favourite gifts, but they’re also the national flower of Ukraine.

So I wanted to paint this picture depicting Haley’s pride in both sides of her family, as well as her own personal love of sunflowers.

“Paisley’s Bridal Boutique” adds a temporary shop to the Town Square after the first farmhouse upgrade, and provides as variety of different formal and cultural outfits for players to wear at the Wedding ceremony or the Flower Dance.

This mod is the first in a series called “The Grampleton Maker’s Market”, which will feature other shops, NPC’s, heart events, CC bundle packs, and more!

Another Stardew Valley mod is available!

This one changes Elliott’s wedding sprite to a traditional Scottish wedding kilt, giving Elliott’s heritage/cultural background a little more depth and making your wedding day much more interesting!

This was one of the first sprite edits I ever did, starting back in early 2020. My .json coding skills were very new at the time, so this idea got pushed to the backburner for almost 2 years until I could figure out what to do. Digging through my old work this past Christmas, I decided it was finally time to finish it up this year :)
