Caught up this morning on making Star Trek: Discovery posters for the current season. Here are my retro posters for episodes 1-5 of the show’s stellar Season 5. Looking forward to episode 6 dropping later this week!

I hope Rayner buys Reno that Vesper martini he owes her from the alt timeline. And probably make her go "sir, you know I'm a lesbian, right?" xD. But then they bond over being salty bitches. Reno can teach him how to be a better functioning salty bitch that isn't disliked by everyone.

Here’s my days late submission for day 5 of Celebrate Disco!! I went for more what I’d like to see than any actual predictions:

1) JOLA CANON!!!!!!!!

2) there’s been some talk about adira being ace - not only would I love for that to be mentioned, it would be so so cool if they had ace adults to look up to in Saru and T’Rina! Plus aroace Linus!!

3) continuing the theme of being as queer as possible for the final season (as a final “fuck you!!!” to the homophobic/transphobic trek “fans”), Michael and Tilly vibing about both being bi :))

4) LAST BUT NOT LEAST, HUGH AND PAUL GET A FUCKING BREAK!!!!!

with star trek discovery coming to an end this year, i wondered whether anyone would be interested in a big bang event? it would start in june, after the finale, with the bulk of the schedule over the summer.

Star Trek Discovery: Season 5 Thoughts

I have a lot of thoughts about Season 5 of Discovery being its last...

But the overwhelming feeling is this: grief at losing this little gem of a show, which boldly went where no Trek had gone before and paved the way for an entire constellation of other Treks, from Lower Decks to Strange New Worlds, from Picard to Prodigy and even Short Treks.

Of course I'm happy because it lasted 5 years. It did what no Trek before it had done: it main-charactered Michael Burnham as much as a Star Trek show can main-character anyone. Sure, there's the ensemble. You have Saru and Stamets and Dr. Culber and now we have Adira Tal and Gray Tal and it's wonderful. We have an entire bridge crew, but is there any doubt that Michael is, ultimately, who the show revolves around? Like her or hate her; her struggle to find her humanity across space and time is what has kept Discovery going this long.

Do I wish we'd gotten 7 seasons? Or more? Absolutely. Discovery is and remains my favorite Trek. It's beautiful and tragic and everything that I want or need in a show. Sure, it has its flaws, but what show doesn't?

I suppose that looking back at it all, we need to be grateful for the time we did get with Michael and crew - and write copious amounts of fanfic to make up for Season 5 being Discovery's swan song.

I need this miniseries ASAP.

15 episodes of seeing Michael and Book's adventures during her first year in the 32nd century.

Sidenote: I think Michael's gap year should've been 3 years.

I would KILL for a short trek of owosekun and detmer on the iss enterprise alone having the time of their life. I need this so badly.
