Sad Songs in a Hotel Room has my entire heart. Sure it's now broken and shattered but it's there. Literally started streaming right as 12 (est) hit and I just started bawling almost immediately. I mean??? The lyrics!! He came after me I feel like. Then Lifeline 💔💔💔 he was told he had 12 hours to live?! I didn't know it was that bad and it's crazy to imagine a world without him in it. I couldn't stop crying and then seeing HIM cry in the music video. Nah I lost. Sad Songs in a Hotel Room and All in Due Time hit a little too close to home. "We checked in together, I never checked out" may genuinely be the most relatable song lyric I've ever heard. Like the metaphors. How things aren't said but you know. Just. Ahhh. And then "Just cause it's over don't mean I'm over it now" is also like just. Ahhh. Go listen to this EP guys you will probably cry, but it's ok because it's a masterpiece ❤️❤️❤️

Oh absolutely agree. I’m amazed at these projects these newer/younger artists are coming out with. The album as a whole tells a story and feels fluent and complete. Like every piece of the album blends seamlessly together and the musical themes sound similar throughout. Lifeline (the music video) had me sobbing. The emotion in that (+the whole album) is so real and raw, it would be hard not to feel it.

I was listening to an interview by Mac Miller (before he passed) where he talked about how artistry is difficult because he (and other artists) make their best work from their suffering. Honestly, for the most part, I can agree. It’s so sad knowing Josh went through so much that he was able to have an inspired album and the fact that he was able to make something so simplistically beautiful out of it is an amazing accomplishment.
