After listening to both Sabrina Carpenter and Joshua Bassett's side of thing (via songs and interviews) I still hold the same conclusion that they did nothing wrong and olivia is trash (yes, trash) for not speaking up when these two people were getting death threats and harrassed over drama she made.
I may be a little biased but i can still say without a doubt, that olivia was the toxic one in all this, say what you will its true.
Olivia definitely could have stoped at least half of the people harassing both josh and sabrina. She had a voice and influence and rather than use it to help, she refused and instead used the drama to further her own mediocre career (yes mediocre. Her songs are okay at best, and even then her best songs were plagiarized from actual good song writers).
The enter internet (especially twitter) owes both Joshua and Sabrina a big fucking apology because, and say it with me, they did nothing wrong! Josh got cheated on and sabrina dated josh when he and olivia were over. Olivia cheated and is the one who broke up with josh so who he dates is no longer a concern of hers and yet she fed into the drama of it all. She is the villain of the story

So, did they make up? Is this a publicity stunt and they're just being civil? I need answers.
Did she make up with Sabrina?
Did it take an EP, an album and many passive aggressive songs for her to be like "y'know, I should check up on them? Maybe make a few apologies?"
I need answers.

The way everyone is being like
“Happy 1 year to dl it changed my life”
And I’m like yah mine too
It made me see the cruel side of social media and how people are gonna say anything to defend a woman because they consider it “feminism” and how in every story the guy only has to be the bad person.
Honestly I hope every one of you who hated Joshua and Sabrina burn in hell😗

Gorgeous gorgeous girls love and respect Joshua Bassett and don’t think that shitting on him is some sort of righteous girl power move. And I am in fact a gorgeous gorgeous girl.

Ur 22 don’t speak on olivia. She has never said the song is about joshua
????????? it's not like she's a minor, i'm allowed to comment on the situation. yeah, i know she never confirmed the song is about josh, but it's clearly common belief that it is. at the very least, she should have seen what was happening with the hate he was getting because of the song and come out to confirm it's not about him to quiet her fans that were targeting him. by staying quiet, she was just stirring the pot.

also I just need to say — the way last year went for Joshua and the absence of support from a lot of the cast during some of his lowest moments / important releases really has me feeling certain feelings about them and I’m hoping I can enjoy this season despite said feeeeeelings 👀

Sabrina talks about how amazing their relationship was when it was just between them. On her album, she talks about how back and forth their relationship became once DL came out and people online were after them. It seems like he ended things because everything going on was too much, but then they kept going back to each other & it’s over now. The back and forth wasn’t healthy for either of them but calling it “toxic” is a bit extreme in my opinion…toxic is such an overused word nowadays. According to Sabrina, her and Josh were “two kids going through it.” They both were. No matter how their relationship ended, there is solidarity there. And if someone’s only takeaway from Sabrina’s album was “Olivia was right, he’s toxic” then they weren’t listening imo.
Thank you anon, their relationship wasn't toxic. People look for any reason to hate on Joshua (and sabrina), even if it means doing more mental gymnastics than the Olympics to find new ways when everything else has been debunked.
Josh and Sabrina deserve so much more than what they got.

My God...
No hate to the child; God help her even, she'll need a lot of help in life if those are the adults raising her.
BUT, to create a fucking pinata based on a real life human, who suffered death threats and depression because of this very artist and album, is beyond cruel and is setting your kid up to believe that it's okay to hurt whoever you want because of your feelings.

“i think a lot of times people will be like "well don't blame artists, blame their fans", but i think we should really look at how much you are responsible as an artist for what conversations go on around your art. obviously you can't control all of it, but the people who look up to you and are supporting you respect you hopefully, so that shouldn't be underestimated.”
