I’m sure this has already been pointed out (though not by any of the blogs I follow), since Supernatural episodes air in the US ages before they hit Australia, but ...
HOW IS IT OK THAT JOSHUA WAS CAST AS A BLACK MAN WHEN HE WAS A GARDENER, BUT CHANGED TO A WHITE DUDE WHEN HE BECAME LEADER OF THEY ANGELS?!?!?! HOW?!
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION OF THE OUTRAGE?!?!
(And while I don’t usually see female deaths on TV as “problematic” the way other feminists do, I know there’s an unusually graphic one coming up of a fan favourite that seems wholly unnecessary for emotional impact and storytelling as well. If a certain angel dies at the end of this season, I am so done).

Soooo, SPN is still a badly written pile of crap this season, no surprises there, but I did love the return of the Dean/Cas subtext.
Because of course Dean made him a mixtape. That’s exactly the kind of outdated romantic gesture he’d love and Cas would only half-understand but still know means a lot. Just... d’awww.
