When my time comes — and it's coming, like I said — I'll be surrounded by people who love me for who I am. Without any judgment or asterisks, or any of that awful shit that you put on me. And, you know, I get it. It's how you were raised and these beliefs you hold on to. I get it. And while I'd love to have a relationship with you, Mom, like a real one, well, you all raised me in the church, raised me to be a strong man, built in God's image and not to have to beg for love. So, I'm not going to do that, but... I'm also not going to lie about who I am. Whether that embarrasses you, or offends your idea of God, or whatever, you do what you will.

the friendship between spencer and sandra on the midnight club really gets to me there is just so much softness and love between them and the part that kills me is how hard both of them fight to keep the softness there and you can just tell the impact they have on each other when spence is talking to his mom and when sandra shows up in the basement and it makes me so emotional they love each other so much

Spence has it right.
When we are surrounded by our friends, by people who love us for WHO we are, not WHAT we are, we can die knowing we have love. We have given and shared love.
I love this show, and I know its based on a Christopher Pike book. I kinda want to read it but I think it wouldnt be the same.

I am probably the only one, but i ship Mark and Spencer so badly 🥺 I think that age gap isn’t that big (maybe 4 years) since Mark is a trainee nurse and if i remember correctly Spencer is out of high school (just like Ilonka).
I just think it would be nice seeing them getting together. Spencer is such a great man with a big sense of humor, smart and so kind. And Mark is so helpfull, so lovely and he cares so much (this moment when he takes Spencer to meet his friends and when he talked with him about Interview with Vampire touched me).
They would be an awesome couple 🥺 just like Dani and Jamie from The Haunting of Bly Manor rwhom i love dearly.
