Day 5 of Welfare Food Challenge

Day 5, just two more days!! I'm so excited to finish this challenge. I dreamt last night that I got the most delicious subway sandwich. This is something I will reward myself with once I am all finished with this challenge. Subway would say s my favourite fast-food chain, and the majority of my friends in college love to go for dinner out since it's easy and cheaper. That makes me wonder once again, are we surprised? We know basically, college students prefer to eat out ore based on budgeting, and it's more convenient since making meals every day is time-consuming, in my opinion. Apparently, I am not the only one. The majority of why college students eat out more is the lack of cooking skills, laziness, and constant social life (Acosta, 2017). Being in college is meant for students to go out, make friends, and make life-lasting memories throughout their life, but when you are on a budget, that can be difficult. You want to go out and do all the same things your friends are doing, but you will have to stay smart about it since you want to have a fun memory for your next meal (Acosta, 2017). That can be difficult for people to accept since having a social life is essential for emotional wellness. Without it, It can cause a lot of emotions and make college life, not as fun. After reading this article, yes, I love to hang out with people and go out to get coffee with my friends. IS it worth the spending? That makes me realize adulthood is more complicated than I thought, and it is essential to find budget-friendly things, so I can still be a part of memory-making instead of a drained bank account. For the rest of the day, I went to hang out with friends and just drove around catching up, which was a memory-making moment! I gave myself a little break from school to allow myself to display self-care for the rest of the afternoon. After that, I went home and made two rice cakes with cheese. And… that's mainly it!!
