“While they don't go for it in the extreme way like Eteri does (public weighing and stuff) many of figure skating coaches do still think that skaters need to watch their weight in order to be great skaters and champions. Raf does it, with pretty harsh comments. Sonoko and Mitsuko (Mai and Kaori's coaches) do it, up to causing Kaori some distress. It sucks but not many of the skaters seem to be secure of their body weight. It's also understandable because they are chasing jumps to win.“

ISML 2021: Rikka Takanashi On The Money, Takes Ruby Necklace
Longshot Sorata Kanda With Massive Upset, Wins Ruby Pendant
By Jo-Ryan Salazar
The Bedlam On Baltic Avenue
December 20, 2021
Match Day 6 of the 2021 International Saimoe League Ruby Period is history. An even money favorite, Rikka Takanashi defeated Kanade Tachibana 2687-2043 to win the Ruby Necklace. Mai Sakurajima was third with 1566 votes, Asuna Yuuki was fourth with 1170 votes, Emilia was fifth with 773 votes, Yui Yuigahama was sixth with 616 votes, Tsukasa Yuzaki was seventh with 482 votes and Utaha Kasumigaoka was last with 394 votes.
Tumblr media
Our Upset of the Round (and it's one of the biggest this season) takes place in the Male Division. Sorata Kanda came into the Ruby Pendant match as a 70-1 longshot and delivered a 2158-2024 scalp over even money favorite Kazuto Kirigaya. Taki Tachibana was third with 1243 votes, Kazuma Satou was fourth with 1012 votes, Tomoya Okazaki was fifth with 815 votes, Archer was sixth with 640 votes, Kiyotaka Ayanokouji was seventh with 582 votes and Subaru Natsuki was last with 496 votes.
Tumblr media
Another longshot, Megumin, took home the Ruby Bracelet with a 2559-2451 victory over Index Prohibitorum. Shiro was third with 1328 votes, favorite Kuroko Shirai was fourth with 1075 votes, Shouko Nishimiya was fifth with 800 votes, Misaku Shokuhou was sixth with 563 votes, Tooru was seventh with 507 votes and Schwi Dola was last with 390 votes. Vote splits between two sets of characters from different parties proved vital to this shock result.
Tumblr media
Dark horse Shidou Itsuki won the Ruby Ring with a 1872-1596 win over another dark horse in Joutarou Kuujou. Ryuuji Takasu was third with 1169 votes, Kyoujurou Rengoku was fourth with 1012 votes, Saika Totsuka was fifth with 837 votes, Kousei Arima was sixth with 741 votes, Satoshi Fukube was seventh with 586 votes and Edward Elric was last with 506 votes.
Tumblr media
With a score of 26068.1, Keke Tang is your Summer Seasonal champion, while Shiroha Naruse was right on the money to be namerd Visual Novel Champion with a 1951-1493 win over Atri. Ao Sorakado was third with a 1757-1438 win over Tsumugi Wenders.
Tumblr media
The Fall Seasonal Tournament is coming up. Making the cut were Ran Mouri (2194), Unmei (1571), Touko Sakurai (1309), Shouko Komi (1751), Futaba Igarashi (1364), Miko Yotsuya (1449), Dia Viekone (1448), Tomoyo Sakagami (1602), Sonoko Suzuki (1258), Jolyne Kuujou (1220), Chisato Arashi (1333), Tarte (1061), Ruti (1040), Kukuru Misakino (1096), Yuuna Yuuki (1052), Doki-chan (1043) and Eris Boreas Greyrat (1518). Mouri is tipped by the Bedlam to win the Fall Diadem, but Koumi and Greyrat will prove to be stiff opposition.
Tumblr media
Finally, the couples tournament kicked off. In Couples actio, Touma Kamijou and Mikoto Misaka routed Kanon Shibuya and Keke Tang 3401-1886, Emilia and Subaru Natsuki defeated Nishikata and Takagi 2618-2410, Gilbert Bougainvillea and Violet Evergarden thumped Conan Edogawa and Ai Haibara 3632-2071, Kazuto Kirigaya and Asuna Yuuki rolled past Hiro and Zero Two 3380-1660, Eru Chitanda and Houtarou Oreki dismantled Kurisu Makise and Rintarou Okabe 3820-1585, Yuu Otosaka and Nao Tomori prevailed over Nagisa Furukawa and Tomoya Okazaki 2439-2235, Elaina and Saya pummeled Mitsuha Miyamizu and Taki Tachibana 3202-2521, Hachiman Hikigaya and Yukino Yukinoshita overpowered Haruka and Sora Kasugano 3254-1990, Taiga Aisaka and Ryuuji Takasu roared past Tomoya Aki and Megumin Katou 2606-2032, Yui Hirasawa and Azusa Nakano rocked Homura Akemi and Madoka Kaname 2727-1941 and Sorata Kanda and Mashiro Shiina smashed Tamako Kitashirakawa and Mochizou Ouji 2744-2170. Finally, in one other result, Iris crushed Maria Takayama 2725-1058.
Tumblr media
With Yukino Yukinoshita's tenure as Saimoe Prime Minister concluding at midnight on January 1, 2022, Mikoto Misaka will be sworn in as interim Saimoe Prime Minister until the general election on January 25. The Bedlam on Baltic Avenue tips Misaka to win a historic reelection to the office. Should Misaka secure the ISML Heavenly Tiara, the interim tag will simply be dropped.
Match Day 1 of the 2021 International Saimoe League Diamond Period is scheduled for December 22, 2021. Vote for your favorite characters at InternationalSaimoe.com and join the ongoing debate. And keep it right here on the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue for continuing coverage of the International Saimoe League, the world's premier anime character competition!

XAI Song Tracks (Full List)
This is the entire musics from XAI. If all of you don't know who "XAI" is they made the Famous J-POP songs know as "WHITE OUT" and "THE SKY FALLS" they sound good like they should be for an Anime..... which it was, but for the albums with the entire soundtrack I like. So download and Enjoy it and tell me what you think of it and even tell me which ones are your favorite.
The music was composed and arranged by Masayuki Nakano, the lyrics were by Sonoko Aoyama, and the songs were sung by XAI who too me makes it that loving to enjoy it. :D
XAI: "From parents who love music, from childhood to classic like opera to fashionable pops, grow up in an environment full of various "songs". The more I talk about "I will die if not singing" "For me the song is the same as oxygen", I have always lived while facing my own singing voice. Such a singing voice of XAI also has a mystical expressive power that draws spectacular sound images freely with songs, and a warm compelling power that talks closely to the listener's heart."

The ladies of figure skating: heading into the 2017-2018 season
Here we are, we finally made it to the Olympic season and a lot of stuff has happened since Sochi. The Russian dominance started by Adelina Sotnikova and Yulia Lipnitskaya, continued by Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, Elena Radionova and Anna Pogorilaya and finally Evgenia Medvedeva and Alina Zagitova. The new generation of Japanese ladies led by Satoko Miyahara; later joined by Mai Mihara, Wakaba Higuchi and most recently Marin Honda. The new generation of South Korean ladies starting with So Youn Park, then Dabin Choi and the 3 junior phenoms Eunsoo Lim, Young You and Ye Lim Kim. The rise of the Canadian ladies Kaetlyn Osmond and Gabrielle Daleman. Basically it’s safe to say the PyeongChang Olympics will see the deepest field ever - dare I say not only in ladies, but overall in all disciplines and you’re all lucky to witness it. The ladies will have to deliver perfect programs because the slightest mistake could be enough to make the difference between #1 and #5. The 2016 World Championships was a good example of what happens when literally everyone in the house delivers; the top 7 ladies scored above 200. You read that right, top seven. The 2017 World Championships was the opposite example, only the top 3 ladies scored over 200 so the Olympics can really go either way. I’m hoping it’ll be more like 2016 and less like 2017. But until then, let’s see who are the ladies we should keep an eye on this season.  (the list is based on the order of the World Standings)
1. Evgenia MEDVEDEVA, RUS (#1 in the WS)
Tumblr media
2016, 2017 World Champion
2016, 2017 European Champion
2015, 2016 Grand Prix Final Champion
2016, 2017 Russian National Champion
Birthday: November 19, 1999
Nicknames: Zhenya, Janny, Medo-chan for the Japanese fans
Current record holder in the SP (80.85), FS (160.46) and combined total (241.31)
Trademarks: tanos (one arm above the head on jumps), rippons (two arms above the head), use of pantomime in her programs, throwing a 3T combo anywhere in her program, transitions galore, + 3 GOE, consistency, winning everything
Coached by Eteri Tutberidze, famous for coaching Olympic Team Champion Yulia Lipnitskaya but also for being the current overlord of ladies skating in seniors and juniors
Known for working with Russian choreographer Ilia Averbukh, whose dictionary does not feature the word “subtlety”
Averbukh has given her themes such as terrorist attacks and clinical death for her programs
First lady to win consecutive Worlds since Michelle Kwan

Translation: Kaori SAKAMOTO, Junior Worlds
Last month, Kaori SAKAMOTO had to withdraw from AWG (Feb 22) because of the flu. “I just kept crying. I was wondering, ‘why am I so unlucky?’” She was at a hotel in Sapporo, watching the stage she was supposed to be at on TV. “I was frustrated because I was supposed to be there.” She stayed away from the ice and kept studying. Maybe thanks to that, she got a surprisingly good grade on her literature exam at her high school. A month after tears of frustration, she was crying of happiness. She finished 3rd place at Junior Worlds, in which she was 6th in 2015. In the SP (March 17), she skated clean, updating her personal best with a score of 67.78: “I threw away my shyness and gave my all.” In the FS, she didn’t lose to the fact that she was skating last and landed a 3F-3T. Her total score of 195.54 is also a personal best. “One mistake and I would’ve been off podium. I was very nervous but I thought that if I do my best, the results with come with it. I’m glad I was able to give these results.” She trains under Sonoko Nakano, who also coaches Mai MIHARA who won 4CC last month. Her first practice in Taipei wasn’t satisfying and she said “I messed up~!”. She also laughed about her having a heavy stomach after eating xiaolongbao: “Not eating it anymore!” When she was told that she beat Zagitova in PCS in the SP, she seemed very surprised: “Eh? Oh! Ehh!?” The cheerful 16 years old is going to be a senior next season. “I might not have as much experience as the skaters already in the senior field, but I want to be a candidate (for the Olympic team.)” Becoming confident with the junior world medal, she will stand out in the fight for Pyeongchang. Satoko Miyahara (JPN) has moved her training base to Toronto, Canada. She will be coached by Lee Barkell, but is still going to be mainly a Mie Hamada student.
(Source)
This is a very intriguing move. Her main goal is to improve her jumps, which to me makes a lot of sense. One of the big criticisms that Satoko has faced over the years are her jumps and her tendency of underrotation. Lee’s skaters have typically excelled at jumping, so I’m excited to see how Satoko will fare!
Like Russia, it’s rare to see a Japanese skater move outside Japan nowadays. It used to be commonplace with skaters like Mao Asada, Miki Ando, and Shizuka Arakawa all having foreign coaches. But lately, the trend has been to stay in Japan, as there are many great coaches like Mie Hamada, Sonoko Nakano, Yukina Ota, and others. I think the trend is now reversing again, with Marin Honda still Training under Rafael Artunian, and now Satoko with Lee. For me, a move abroad means a skater is really taking their career in their own hands, and is making decisions that would best benefit them. I think Evgenia improved as soon as she moved to Canada. So hopefully Satoko will have similar results.
