Idk what you guys are thinking, but in my head it is obvious, clear as day, that Eddie Munson is a baby gay... in the sense he's never even kissed a guy at 20/21 (whatever canon age he is). He knows what he wants, he isn't a child, but this man is gay in a tiny tiny town in butt-fuck Indiana, he has not had a chance to act on it. The dating pool is not exactly Olympic sized.

So when Steve has his bi awakening and kisses Eddie first, he would do it easy, hard, fast... And Eddie is a bit of a mess. His kisses are sloppy, too wet, too much, because he Has Not Done This Before. Of course Steve would just think he's being too eager, or a bad kisser, and not even guess at the truth, but keep kissing him anyway (because he makes pretty sounds at the back of his throat every time Steve kisses him, and he bites at his lips all the time).

But then Eddie casually drops it in conversation like "hey Harrington, how does it feel to go down in history as Eddie the freak Munson's first kiss?" and Steve would lose his cool for a second and then proceed to give Eddie the sweet, slow, no-tongue, not-overwhelming-first-kiss Eddie actually deserved.

And Eddie might not be a natural but he's a quick learner and Steve will sometimes very gently tell him to slow it down, or cool it with the tongue, and in no time Eddie's giving as well as he's getting and they make out a lot. A lot.

After the world finally stops threatening to end, sometime in late 1989, Steve quietly gets a tattoo across his ribs. It’s something personal and private, something he just needs etched into his skin because to not have it there would feel like a lie. He feels disconnected from himself, he feels alone, he feels like bullshit. Going into Indianapolis for the weekend and shoving the handwritten line at a tattoo artist is the most human Steve has felt in forever. The sharp pain of the needle followed by the dull ache of the healing process finally grounds him.

No one but Robin hears about this, though. And turns out outside of saving the world, now that he doesn’t swim as much, Steve doesn’t have that many excuses to take his shirt off anymore. So, the tattoo is a secret by omission, and Steve is fine with that. It’s his thing, and it doesn’t have to be exposed for it to mean as much as it does.

And it does mean a lot. It’s a mark of a new beginning, something physical to prove to Steve he is still around and kicking.

And after that, life feels livable again. He has his friends, his only real family. He is managing Family Video now, after the owner had moved out of town due to world-almost-ending experiences. He is finally settling into being someone he actually wants to be.

Most importantly, Steve keeps in touch with Eddie as much as he can. They’re hanging out on and off all the time, falling into an easy routine without either of them meaning to. And by 1990, before either of them knows what hits them, they’re fumbling in the backroom at Family Video, making out against a shelf, VHS tapes raining down on them like falling in love: fast, hard, unexpected.

It’s all a blur of finally expressing things they had been keeping hidden for too long. Sharing secrets at midnight, back and forth with the pass of a joint or two or five. And after they start, they couldn't stop even if they had wanted to. They need this good thing. And they both know too well how fast the shit hits the fan around them. So, they don’t care for taking things slow, not after years of dancing around each other. All this to say, it doesn’t take long at all for Eddie to find himself in Steve Harrington's bedroom.

He’s sitting against the headboard, watching as Steve gets rid of his clothes. He had been expecting an almost childish awkwardness from Steve, because Eddie knows he hadn't done this before, not with a man. Not that Eddie has that much experience to speak of himself, but he had come to terms with it way earlier. It doesn’t matter what he had expected though, because in truth Steve is smooth, sexy even. He removes his clothes with purpose and devastating eye contact. He gets rid of his pants, and then his shirt is coming off – finally, finally messing up that amazing head of hair of his.

Eddie almost gets too distracted by Steve's intensity to notice the tattoo. When he comes closer, though, Eddie places his hand over his ribs. Instinctively, he just has to look and see what his skin looks like against Steve's skin. And there it is, right by his fingers. Pitch black ink, already healed over, already fully Steve. The words are stark against his pale skin. I want to be adored. Eddie has the air knocked out of him.

Steve looks down, confused for a moment. "Wha-?" he starts to ask, but then his brain catches on. Steve feels self-conscious, kisses Eddie to distract him from what he'd found. He hadn't known this is how he would feel, had never felt ashamed or embarrassed of much about his appearance before. And this isn’t quite shame. But this is Steve, bared, naked, in ways that go above a state of undress.

Eddie breaks the kiss, hand splayed over Steve's chest. "Fuck, Steve. When did you get that?"

"A while back. It's nothing." It is everything. It means so much to Steve, he'd never have the words.

Eddie's eyes soften, skimming the words again and again. The smile that graces his lips is tiny, a kind little thing Steve usually only sees on his face whenever he is around the nuggets, Max or Dustin usually.

"I can make that happen," Eddie says, honesty dripping from his words. It isn’t his usual, larger than life rambling. This is Eddie seeing him, really seeing him.

"What?" Steve asks, to diffuse the tension. A self-sabotaging little jab at their clear connection, because he actually thinks he knows exactly what Eddie means.

"I can adore you, big boy," Eddie says, and his playful spark was back. He winks, pulling Steve close by the shoulders. He gets both of them on Steve's bed. Steve's chest aches.

"Shut up," he says, because he doesn’t know how to accept something like this. Doesn’t know how to process that anyone would care, that anyone would pay attention.

Eddie rolls his eyes at him, flips them on the bed so he can straddle Steve's hips. Eddie traces the ink on his skin like it is precious. He kisses Steve hard, kisses his love into his lips, pushes it into his mouth like he does his tongue.

"I do adore you," Eddie says later, after they're both tired and spent and sated. After sex has made things fuzzier. It feels so simple now. It is so true.

"Eddie," Steve starts, ready to tell Eddie about all the ways in which he, Steve, is fucked up. Instead: "Thank you."

"Hey, I got you."

And Eddie does, he really does.

My #1 post of 2022

Eddie's Vecna song would be something completely unexpected. Even though he's not cursed, he'd leave a cassette ready, just in case. He would hand it to Steve, tell him to keep it in his back pocket.

When they save the world and all that horror is in their rearview, Steve finds his bloody pants in a pile under his bed, one week forgotten. Eddie's beat up cassette is tangled in the mess, and he's glad he checked the pockets.

He puts the tape on at a low volume, expecting heavy metal, deafening and loud.

Instead, the tape is a loop of All Of Me by Billie Holiday. At the end of the song, over the last chorus, a woman's voice crackles through, louder than the singing. "Hey, goodnight, baby. Mama loves you all the time."

Turns out the only recording Eddie has of his mother has been sitting in Steve Harrington's room. Eddie's been in hospital, hasn't had the chance to remember it with all the sleeping he's been doing (who knew extreme blood loss would really knock a guy out). But he trusted Steve with this precious thing, and the realization is all it takes for Steve to know once and for all he's in love.

Steve brings Eddie a walkman and earphones, and he sits by Eddie's bed while he listens. Eddie pauses the tape. They hold hands over the edge of his hospital bed, comfortable silence falling between them like a warm blanket over the room.

Due to quarantine, I’ve been feeling pretty touch starved due to to the lack of hugs my friends and I would usually give each other.

Covid is a curse for naturally affectionate people like me :/

So enjoy some headcanons I wrote for some of our boys who had finally achieved the role of boyfriend!

Sweet home as types of boyfriends (M)

Hyun Cha

Hyun as a boyfriend gives me very chill/tired boyfriend vibes.

As in, he’s the kind of boyfriend who loves you softly. Someone who appreciates you in their own discreet way. Whether it be soft forehead kisses, or just very tight hugs.

Very relaxed dates. These dates would include laying on the couch cuddling, with rain pouring in the background.

Another date Idea would be just watching your favorite movies together in bed, eating your favorite snacks and candies.

His nicknames would include

Babe, babygirl/boy, love of my life, My light, Angel

His kisses are very hesitant and gentle, almost as if you’ll break or you’ll run away from him. Once you kiss him, and he knows you’re not going anywhere, his kisses become desperate, like you’ll disappear. Soon though, his kisses show how much he truly feels with you around :)

PDA doesn’t include a whole lot, mainly because he feels self conscious when he’s around someone as amazing as you. He feels like you deserve someone a lot better. Most likely just hand holding in public. However, in closed doors you bet you can get as many hugs and kisses as you want, whenever you want, 25/8

Now, at 18, you OBVIOUSLY don’t have a lot of money unless you’re rich. When it comes to gifts, I think he’d pay attention to your favorite foods, or maybe your current obsession, and base his gifts off that.

He LOVES to rant to you about Maria In The Sky!! Or just his hyperfixations in general when it isn’t Maria. Which isn’t likely. He gets this certain spark in his eyes when he talks about the things he’s interested in, which brings a certain life to him.

Now, depression DOES take a toll on people. This can leave a strain on relationships especially. If you’re willing to put in the extra effort, he would greatly appreciate it. He makes sure to show you his appreciation by making sure he ate a little extra more that day, made sure to change out into a new set of clothes, and overall just ways to show that he’s taking care of himself.

Overall, he loves you dearly, and greatly appreciates the love and support you give him. Trust me, he’s not letting you go any time soon.

Hyuk Lee

Hyuk as a boyfriend gives me very CHAOTIC vibes!!

He’s the kind of boyfriend to show his love by joking A LOT with you, with lots of teasing, playful name calling, and overall just rough housing.

There was definitely a moment where yall took roughhousing too far and you got bopped in the nose. Hyuk couldn’t bare to look you in the face after the many times you said you were fine.

Hyuk’s nicknames would include

Lemon cardboard Homie, Baby, Babe, Big head, DEFINITELY Megatron just to fuck with you

Hyuk’s kisses would be goofy and just kind of smiley, and maybe even a little sloppy. As in, he would be gently holding your face in his hands, but would be smiling or laughing as he tries to kiss you because he is just so unbelievably happy. This causes the kisses to definitely not be perfect, but they’re just filled with so much happiness that you can’t help but smile or laugh with him.

Just like Hyun, there isn’t a lot of PDA. Not because he’s self-conscious, mainly because he feels like you know how much he actually loves you without having to be too touchy in front of everyone. If you just so happen to want a kiss or maybe just hold hands, he’s all up for it. Just make sure to ask otherwise he will have no clue what you want.

Dates would include going to the arcade!! DEFINITELY would drag you over to that dancing game just to have an excuse to be closer to you!

Another date idea would just be 1 am trips to 7/11 and grabbing a slushee and your favorite snack, and maybe going to a remote area and laying on the hood of your car and go stargazing.

When it comes to dating Hyuk, you also gotta care for his sister. They are a PACKAGE DEAL. He understands that it’s a big responsibility to dump onto someone, but he’s responsible for her well-being. So if you don’t like her, that’s the ultimate deal breaker for Hyuk. If that’s not the case, he’ll be happy to see you two getting along.

Being a surrogate father for someone who was so young really puts a damper on your mentality. So just show your support for him, whether it be big or small. If you are quick to befriend Eun, his heart will warm at the sight of the two people he loves most enjoying each other’s company.

Ihyun Jo

Ihyun gives me very flirty/romantic boyfriend vibes. I say this due to his two personalities, which include his chaotic and more gentler side. I can see him being very flirty with an SO, that showers them in pick up lines that could make your face go red while also being sincerely romantic, enough to make you swoon from how sweet he’s being.

He’s the kind of boyfriend to hold your face in his hands, and gently cover your face in kisses or just stare lovingly into your eyes. This would also include whispering flirtatious comments in your ear, just to see you embarrassed from his words and make you blush.

With his flirty side, I can definitely see him as bit possessive, which can include possessive touches such as putting his hand on your waist or gently grabbing your chin to look at him when you look away.

Ihyun’s nicknames would include

Baby, hot stuff, princess/prince, Angel, wifey/hubby

Ihyun’s kisses can go two different ways depending on his current mood. The 1st way is sweet and sincere, where his kisses are soft and filled with such warmth and love. This creates such a loving feeling, where he carefully holds your face in his hands and treats you with gentleness. The 2nd way is his kisses feeling lustful, and a little rough. Though, this only means his kisses are firey and more passionate, holding you close by your waist as you wrap your arms around his neck.

DEFINITELY PDA. He is VERY touchy. Not in a way to make others around you uncomfortable, but more like he always has to be touching you in some way to ground himself. This includes hand holding, putting a hand on your waist or around your neck. When it’s just you two, it’s almost like he’s a second shadow, always carding a hand through your hair or just hugging you and resting his chin atop your head.

In more normal settings, I can definitely see him taking you out on the classic amusement park date. I’m talking rollercoasters, obviously rigged carnival games, cotton candy, and of course, the classic Ferris wheel ride.

Of course, I gotta throw in a classic beach date too. He is DEFINITELY the type of boyfriend to throw you into the sea, ONLY IF YOU ARE OKAY WITH IT AND CAN SWIM THO. If not, he is totally cool with just annoying you by splashing, or just overall being a general nuisance. Definitely has a soft spot for building sand castles with you :)

He may have the occasional sarcastic comment to share or just be annoying just to bug you, but he really does love you. He knows having MPD makes things harder in a relationship, but he appreciates you helping him when it comes to medication, episodes, and other ailments that occur. If there are types when he feels sad, he would love nothing more than to just lay on the couch, and rest his head in your lap as you run your hand through his hair.

Jayhun

Jayhun DEFINITELY strikes me as a SOFT BOYFRIEND. An ANGEL BOYFRIEND. A man you can DEPEND on. HUSBAND MATERIAL.

When I say soft, I mean he just absolutely SHOWERS you in love. You NEVER go a day without at least one hug or kiss, because he wants you to know how much he truly loves you. He’s the kind of boyfriend to do classic, gentlemanly things such as open doors for you, sit you down and scoot your chair in for you, and overall just be a sweetheart.

His dates would most likely be more domestic. I could definitely see him as doing the classic at home dinner date, being in the kitchen and cooking your favorite food, or if you like going out to eat more, definitely a restaurant on the nicer side. Being a teacher can leave him a bit busy sometimes, so he’s not opposed to just ordering take out, putting on a movie, and just enjoying your company as you lean against him. :)

Jayhun’s nicknames include

Sweetheart, honey, darling, love, angel

Jayhun’s kisses are the epitome of sweet and warm. Of course, he would only kiss you if he asked and made sure you were okay with it. If you said yes, he would make sure to hold you close, whether it be gently holding your face in his hands, or just placing his hands on your hips, he makes sure to put all his love into each kiss.

When it comes to PDA, he definitely strikes me as old fashioned. You know those elderly couples that have been married for 50+ years and STILL act like they’re in their honeymoon phase? That’s you and Jayhun. Kisses on the cheek, hand holding, brushing hair out of your face, and just staring at you with so much love that catching him can make you feel how strong his love is for you.

There are times when he’s forgotten to take lunch, so being the greatest SO ever, you make sure to bring it to him at school. His students LOVE YOU. They can’t believe their teacher bagged someone as great as you, and constantly bug Jayhun about you and when you’ll come visit again. They have a bet on how long it will take to get him to propose.

A bouquet of your favorite flowers, your favorite candies, and even just writing little sticky notes in places you see them before he goes to work, he just wants you to know he will always love and appreciate you no matter what.

I want to say that because of his religion, he kinda hopes you share the same beliefs as him. However, he is not opposed if you don’t, he still loves you all the same. In fact, if you follow a totally different religion, I feel like he would be interested in learning what your practices are, and how he could make you feel more welcomed during your relationship. 💕

Wook Pyeon

“My boyfriend can kick your ass” HELLA vibes from this man.

When I say this, I mean he’s very protective of you, and is even afraid to be in your presence half the time due to his height and build. He’s the kind of boyfriend to benchpress you for a work out, but also the kind of boyfriend to get flustered when you kiss his forehead.

There’s no fuckin way you could reach his height unless you’re THAT TALL, but if you do, he’s more likely to be less careful around you, and be more willing to hold you close to him and not be afraid of accidentally hurting you. If you’re a SHORTY?? Like me then this poor man is on pins and needles. Even if you’re tough, this man is afraid of hurting you and will never forgive himself if his elbow whacked you in the forehead.

Shorty protector

Dates with Wook Pyeon consist of constantly patching him up when he’s injured. Seriously, does this man never have a bruise on his body? If he’s not injured, he’s definitely stressed or very tense, and would not be opposed to taking a warm bath with you. Not even to have sex, but more just to make your hair into a giant spike with soap, or have bubble beards that leave you holding your stomachs from laughter. Just wholesome goofing off. :)

Wook’s nicknames would include

Honey, baby, babe, sweetheart, *shorter rendition of your name*, little shit (If you’re a menace to him constantly)

I feel like this man’s kisses can vary. Though the one thing they have in common, is that he makes sure that you know that he loves you. They can range from quick “Gotta go to work” kisses, to kisses that make you melt from the amount of love you feel from them. Even if maybe that moment you two have fought and he suddenly has to go, and if you’ll let him of course, he’ll make sure to give you the sweetest kiss he can muster. Dealing with criminals can be dangerous, and he would never want to go to work and have something happen, knowing you both left angry at one another.

PDA for him is hesitant. It’s not that he doesn’t like it, but he gets very shy and flustered about it. If you hold his hand while he’s talking to someone, his brain will start to malfunction and his face will slowly turn a shade of pink. This includes kisses anywhere on his face, or just a small kiss to his knuckles while holding his hand. In other words, for a big guy like himself, he is quite timid when it comes to initiating PDA.

He may be a little rough around the edges, but he tries his best to be romantic. Though, he tends to do it in more smaller ways. Working in the police force has unreasonable hours, so lots of little sticky notes around the house with cute love notes, little heart doodles, and just overall tiny reminders are his love language, or just making you a quick breakfast and storing it for later before leaving to work.

When he gets laid off, please do your best not to be angry with him. If it turns out he was the only one to be bringing money on the table for your own reasons, he would be so disappointed in himself for not being able to support you. If it turns out he now has to rely on you and your job, he would feel as if he’s a leech while you work harder until he can find a new source of income, so please reassure him that everything will be alright.

He of course, will do his own fair share of chores around the house in order to relieve the work load off of you.

When it comes to smoking, that is definitely a problem. Even if you don’t mind it, secondhand smoking can greatly affect your health as well. If you are an asthmatic, he definitely will try to quit for you. Even if you aren’t, it eventually dawns on him that his smoking is slowly hurting you, and doesn’t want you to be breathing that gunk in. It will be a hard journey, but just support him and keep him in check for the transition, and he’ll do his best to keep you happy and out of harm’s way.

You’ve been working with Kwon Jiyong for 2 years now. 23 months to be specific. One day, you received a phone call from a ‘headhunter’ asking you to join an emerging company. All you knew at the moment of the interview was that the working conditions were excellent. It was well paid with flexible hours and working days. The only problem was: it was in South Korea. The company stated in the job offer that an all-included luxurious loft would be waiting for you near your work place and a translator would follow you until you are capable to speak korean fluently. Ready to take on new challenges, you flew to Seoul and start a new life there. You agreed for the loft but declined to have a translator following you 24/7, you need your space and it would have annoyed you. After all, with google translate, you can always be understood.

Never in your life you would have imagined that the said company was Peaceminusone owned by the one and only G-Dragon. Even in your country, Bigbang and GD were popular. You knew about it mostly because of their leader, he was a well known fashion icon. You have met him from time to time at the Paris fashion week or other social events hosted by Chanel, your previous employer. He was introduced to you by a common friend one night and that was it. Your relation was nothing less and nothing more than polite exchanges of formalities.

But there you are, working for him now. At the beginning, you were simply a colorist but as time spent by, you became one of the fashion designer of the company, working under the CEO’s order meaning Kwon Jiyong himself. After all this time working late hours together with other creators and staff members as well, you can say that you became ‘close’ to him. Well, not close enough to meet after work hours but inside the 4 walls of the office, the relation between you was smooth and enjoyable. He knew you enough to buy your favorites when he was paying drinks (or food) for the staff and instead of the «virgin» latte with sugar on the side for people to put it according to their taste, you would receive your «soy milk latte with a hint of cinnamon and honey» with your name written on it. Other employees laughed and called you, Jiyong and his manager (the only one with their name written on the drinks) ‘the trio’. You knew it was because you’re the only one who drinks your latte with soy milk but people would continue to tease you for that. It never bothered you and you don’t pay attention to it knowing their mockery are not malicious.

Working at Peaceminusone is very nice, you get along with other employees and to create streetwear clothes on your own was a dream job. Kwon Jiyong is a very strict boss. Even though he’s an idol, maybe even because of that, he’s working twice as hard as all your previous employers and he knows exactly what he wants and he wants it to be deliver at a specific time. His personality is calm, kind and charming though. He don’t need to raise his voice or threaten his employees for them to obey his orders. He just have to ask for something. He don’t care how you do it, he don’t mind the way you use to obtain the result he’s asking for. He is calm, sweet, polite and respectful. He can also be bubbly and play along with the staff. Specifically when he is with his hyung Seunghyun, or with his noona stylist that comes to the office sometimes when it’s the only time he had to have his hair dyed or cut. Really, you are happy. Well, at least, your life was under control. Until that night…

It all started with that conversation you had with your best friend from your home country. You were working late on a new idea you had and knowing you, if you don’t take the pens immediately, you would forget it the day after. So, alone in the office with only the maintenance employees in the building somewhere, not even on the same floor cause they had already cleaned the ateliers and emptied the garbage. He didn’t add anything and neither did you. You were excited and thrilled to see what he had planned. What’s on his mind? You know for sure that he planned it when you were face to face in your atelier. You know it because you saw the light in his eyes, the playful sparkles. This couldn’t have been caused by the idea of buying you flowers or chocolates… Well, you will have to wait and see.

You spent your saturday afternoon shopping with a friend. You have bought a lot of pretty clothes and jewelry. You surprised yourself a couple of times when you had found yourself admiring a piece of clothing, thinking it would fit perfectly on Jiyong. You were halfway scared and amused by your thoughts.

You come home at about 17h00 that night. You needed time to take your underwear from the rack in the middle of the living room and fold them carefully. You clear out your stuff and fastly sweep the broom. You don’t want Jiyong to see your messy side tonight. You take a not so long bath, shave every part of your body. You wash your hair and carefully apply a treatment on them, always receiving compliments from your friends or your co-workers when you use this product. Apparently, your hair looks soft and they smell good when you use it. You wanted to be perfect for Jiyong because you have no idea what he has in mind.

Jiyong never made it on time for meetings or for planned phone calls. But tonight, he knocks on your door precisely at 7h00. Surprise that he didn’t had to ask the janitor to call you (they don’t play with security in your building), you open the door with a question mark on your face. Jiyong look above his shoulder to check if there something bothering you behind him. That’s when it hit you, he don’t have his winter clothes on neither his boots.

«Jiyong, where is your coat»

«Aren’t you gonna let me in first?» He laughs. You move back and gesture him to enter your loft. He’s concerned because he doesn’t see a smile on your face yet.

«Are you scared that I might get cold?» He tease «You are so thoughtful, it’s cute». That’s when it appeared in the corner of your mouth, a little, unsure smile.

«No… Sorry but I was more concerned on how you passed the security guard without having problems».

He laughs, flashing his gums.

«I see, you don’t know… y/n, I live in this building, I even own it» .

«You own the building?» You asked, shocked for no good reason. You know he’s multimillionaire already. «I see, that’s why the company provided me a loft here, since it all belongs to you, the company and the building».

«Yes, you’re a smart cookie». He teased but inside, he was shaking. He don’t want you to reject him because you get scared of his money… He can’t lose you for some banal consideration like that. Trying to lighten the atmosphere he add «I can come and visit you in my pajama if I want… see how practical it is?» You smile and reply «Well, not really since you said in an interview that you sleep naked».

Why in hell did you have to say this? You are such an idiot sometimes.

«Touché...» he muttered, his smile wide and his eyes disappeared. God dammit with those smile eyes, it always seduce you and makes you weak.

You notice that he has flowers in his hands. «Ooooh, it’s for me?»

«Yes, it’s for you». He hands you the flowers, bows at you and immediately cross his arms behind his back, mysteriously hiding a gift bag from your gaze.

At that very moment, he’s scared that he went too far. He’s not so certain that his idea was good. Not at all. But since he’s here…It was a perfect idea, funny and hopefully practical but now, with you in front of him, he’s not sure anymore. He needs to gain courage.

«You look beautiful tonight» he said timidly. Feeling he was really shy, you wanted to tease him, but just a little.

«Tonight only? Ouch, that hurts Jiyong» you say but your smile tells him you’re not mad at all.

«No, no, no! I didn’t mean it like that» He was embarrassed anyway. He was so cute, you regret saying it right away.

«Jiyong, I am playing with you»

«I know, but still… I didn’t mean it that way» He answers, sheepfully. You have no idea what he has in mind but it’s certainly not sexual, he’s a fluffy ball of cuteness. «You are beautiful. End of the sentence. Just beautiful. And I am glad that you opened the door for me”.

He was so cute, it was indescriptible. He had his hair dyed and cut again since the last time you have seen him, now in a light shade of blond but not platinum. He was gorgeous.

“Thank you so much for the flowers, they are beautiful. They are my favorites”. You say as you smell the flowers.

“Yes, I remember”

“You remember? Have I told you what my favorite flowers are?” you ask, intrigued.

“Not to me but to secretary Min at the office. You were talking about girly stuff and I remember you said those were your favorites”

“Amazing! Thank you, I love them. I think it’s the first time someone gives me flowers”.

“Really? Wow! I am glad to be the first one”

«Come, I will put it in a vase» You walked towards the kitchen counter followed by him. He found it hard not to fix your booty as you’re walking. He never saw you before in that kit. A pair of “mom style jeans” and a fit black shirt that zip in the back all the way down the shirt. It was so short, if you lift your arms up, he might actually see the skin on your stomach.

«You made yourself comfortable in here?» he wanted to focus on something else than your skin.

«Yeah, it’s amazing. We don’t see or hear the neighbors, the view is spectacular, the furniture is modern, design and practical. There is a problem tho” you said looking at him with a pout “in my contract it’s written that I can’t own animals. I might have to negotiate that close with the owner of the building. I want a cat”.

He laughs, relieved you’re not having a real problem in the loft. He don’t want you to move out.

“What a coincidence, I know him very well. Let me see what I can do”. His eyes are almost just a thin line as his smile widen.

“Oh! My! God! Jiyong, really? May I have one?”

He was delighted to see your excitement. You seemed on a defensive or more accurately on a anxious mode since he came in.

“Yes, of course. I have one myself”.

Summery: Over 100 years ago, before the walls were formed, the Thedal Empire were allies with the Eldians. But when Marley took over and the Walls Of Paradis were built, the Thedalians made a peace treaty with Marley, a mutual agreement that dictated neither would attack and both sides would leave Paradis in peace, never to militarize the island. But when Marley breaks the treaty by sending the warriors, Thedal sends their elite, a group of soldiers know as the Erinyes, six individuals with powers of their own, the sole reason Marley never fought them. Caught between the warriors and the Eldian’s own distrust, can they survive the island and save their own kingdom?

Part 2: Forty-five Percent

The tavern was a warm cozy place, known for its great music and food. The bartender and owner, Mrs.Johanna Ward, was a former soldier, who served under my mother until her daughter Emily was born. But today, the tavern was empty, a bottle of wine and a pitcher of beer was left on the bar with a note.

“For Realan.” I sighed and took the wine and beer and set it on the table. There were four people there already, Leo and I took the last, “Erinyes, I’ve called this meeting for one reason. There has been an order given, we are to go to Paradis Island, and stop them from laying claim to the Founding Titan. Yes, it’s real, Paradis isn’t just a penal colony for Marley, it houses the descendants of the Eldian empire from 100 years ago.”

“When do we leave?” Jasper, my closest friend smiled.

“Jasper, Elain, Clare, and Zackary, this mission will be dangerous, more so than any we’ve pulled off before, the second we land on that shore, we may not come back, we may not make it to the walls.”

“So how much?”

“Seriously, you’re asking for money, Clare?” Jasper snapped. “Percentage, dipshit. Death rate.”

“Greater than 45%, I don’t know all the facts.” I admitted, “We’re going in essentially blind. Which brings me to this, if any one of you chooses not to go, no repercussions will happen.” “You’ll be going into a death trap. Blind. With little to no backup.” Elain snapped, “That is a repercussion. We’d lose our friend, commander, princess. Our sister. Do not sit there and say we’d have no repercussions. I’m in.”

“Same.” Clare smiled. Jasper stood and saluted, so did Zackary.

“You won’t be able to come home. We’d be violating a treaty with Marley, starting a war.” Zackary smiled and poured a mug of beer, so did Leo and Jasper. Care fixed a glass of wine for her, me, and Elain.

“So, starting a war, going into a titan-infested island with no backup and no real plan, facing certain death...Sláinte!” he laughed and clashed mugs with the guys. Clare and Elain laughed and we clinked wine glasses as we all down the alcohol, “Rue, we’d follow you into hell, no titan, Marleyen or demon would change that.”

"There's a banquet tonight. A farewell dinner." I said setting the glass of wine aside.

"If it is okay, I'd prefer to spend tonight with my wife, commander." I squeezed his shoulder, "Thank you."

"Anyone else?" No one else spoke, "Fine. Here's an order from me. Spend tonight with your loved ones." They smiled and we stood, "First light tomorrow, we meet at Bellesea Castle."

"Till tomorrow, Commander." Clare led them out and I was left standing in the empty pub. I sat back down and began drinking what was left of the wine.

My mind began working over the probabilities and plans. And none of it was certain all save for one thing, I was leading my friends to death. A decent plan has a 90% success, a half-ass plan around 70 to 50%. I don't have either one which leaves me with a fatal less than 45%.

I sat the wine down and closed my eyes, thinking through everything. Neither Marley nor Paradis knows we are coming, but Marley has those fucking shifters. And while we have some power of our own, they are a force to reckon. Plus Paradis has the Founder, this is a good thing, but we need them to trust us and we're from the outside, and if in battle, the Erinyes look demonic.

"From 45 to 50% as good as I'm getting tonight," I muttered to myself and laid the cash on the table and left for the castle. I sent word to cancel the banquet, that the others will spend tonight with their families.

"You canceled the banquet?!" My father burst into my office, an expected reaction as I continued to finish my half-thought plan.

"Yes. Because tomorrow we leave with just us to an island with titans and Marley troops. This is a potential death sentence so I gave them an order to spend their remaining time with their loved ones. Something I can't do because I have to think of some way to win the trust of the people in the walls while also thinking of ways to prepare for Marley's titans." I vented and I saw the look of understanding dawn on my father's face as he took the pen from my hand, replacing it with his own hand, he led me from around the desk and into his arms.

"Babygirl...I forget sometimes, the burdens of being a commander." I sighed as he kissed my head

"They trust me enough to follow me, even when I confessed to having no real plan or information."

"You know what that means? They know you'll do what is right and what is best for all of us. Your people and your squad."

"I forget sometimes, that you're a wise old man."

"55 isn't old." He grumbled as I laughed, "Come on. Dinner is ready and I'll have plates delivered to the Erinyes."

157. Ever dyed your hair? yeah ive dyed it reddish, darker brown, fire ombre (look it up it was awesome), blonde, ash blonde, blonde with purple tips and then now i just dyed it back to brown which is its natural colour. i like it blonde but im starting to like it back at its natural state.
