I just want to remind everyone that Wallace is canonically the worse one to sleep in the same bed with.

Scott can be a bad roommate in every other aspect but GUYS Wallace is the one that canonically snores and kicks in his sleep.

Scott sleeps like a princess with his back against the sheet lying perfectly straight (and also taking all the covers) and Wallace sleeps semi-on-his-side and apparently just fucking punting Scott in the leg every so often (not to mention he talked in his sleep too) and I don’t know why this is important to me but it is.

Because when people draw them cuddling in their sleep it’s always Wallace being normal and Scott turning and snoring and shit but you’re missing out on sleepy-cuddly Wallace turning and snoring on Scott. Let that cringe-fail 25 year old be annoying. Istg.

I’m talking to the Mobillace people too btw. Not that I’ve seen anyone draw them cuddling in bed (which is a CRIME btw. Draw that. Karen has four older brothers and this is Ross! He's the second oldest and he looks rather polite and smiles a lot and when he's at work he can behave most of the time... but he really has such a foul mouth it puts Right to shame.

And Karen when she was a kid couldn't pronounce S's and they sounded like Z's. So when her brothers would be leaving for school she would say "enjoy zool" and just. Could NEVER say Ross's name correctly so he told her to just call him Oz. And it stuck but only with Karen. She's the only one to use it and no one else is allowed.

So I got covid and the flu a few days ago, and I’ve never gotten either before! But the worst part about it is that, obviously, I need to drink a lot of fluids. My throat will get more painful and feel like it does when it’s dry but worse. So I’ll drink a lot of water. But then I pee crystal clear water in 30 minutes. It’s ridiculous.

watched the musical demon show (don't wanna name it so this post isn't in the tags) at the behest of an IRL friend and i can already tell this is going to be a piece of media where i absolutely cannot stop thinking about it, not because i really love the show as-is, but because it has so many individual components i really like and find incredibly fun or compelling, and i'm so frustrated that it doesn't come together for me

i think the main thing i can say about it as a show, setting aside some of the insensitive choices that were made that i really don't feel qualified to tackle or talk about, is that the entire thing sort of gives off this vibe of someone really excited to show you every single oc they made in high school and college and i very genuinely mean that in both the best and worst ways possible

there are some good hooks for season two though so i will absolutely give them that

#the vibe is just like... they are just soooo excited to get all their ideas out that it becomes... messy and badly paced #like there are so many moments that are cool or fun or emotional in a vaccuum but they don't connect fully y'know #because this arc or character was JUST introduced so there isn't proper build up. everything moves too quick #and it's frustrating because you can TELL that the people making this show love their ideas and characters #and i more than get thta! i am also someone with a lotta ocs i love to blab about #but i think they have been working with them so long that they #a. assume we are already just as attached to them as they are without always doing that work #b. assume we've seen all the supplemental material which. i have not #and i don't think that a professional show is the type of thing where there should be a barrier of entry that involves like #podcasts and comics and twitter threads and IC instagram posts about characters to do that emotional/lore legwork y'know #i love lore and supplemental stuff obviously but this should still be like #a satisfying experience for me a person who saw the pilot however many years ago and then has not interacted with the show or fandom since #idk man stuff felt rushed and messy and i wish i liked it more #it needed more slow moments i think. the two scenes where the group all drinks together (minus one awful joke in the bar scene) are like #the best in the show to me becase i actually believe these guys are FRIENDS. i wanna see them hang out more!#i wanna see them actually really grow to like each other organically!!! i wanna see them build connections and grow better slowly!!!#songs absolutely slap though. soundtrack is probably gonna be in my spotify unwrapped 2024 #i love me a musical and that inspiration is on its sleeve which i love #also imo the humor isn't great usually. it's very juvenile imo and sometime that works but it often doesn't #(for me at least humor is obviously SUPER subjective)#also tonally they have this 'have your cake and eat it too' issue which bugs me. it's exemplified by the v's (one in particular)#actually i could go on a whole rant about the v's if anyone is interested because god i have some Thoughts #and i think my issues with the v's (namely one v) encapsulates many issues i have with the show #despite all this rambling i actually did enjoy a lot of my time with it. i just don't think it was well-written if that makes sense

It really bothers me to see fanfiction writers discussing how to/how not to write certain characters. because I'm like, my dudes. we are on tumblr dot com. we are writing stories about our favourite characters like they're dolls in the dollhouses of our mind.

you can't be sitting there on some kind of fanfiction high horse preaching out that everyone "can't" write this certain character in the way you've decided that you, personally, don't like.

i don't care how many hits your fics have got - like that makes you valid?

filter out the tags you don't enjoy on ao3 by all means, but you can't turn around and say that the way you dislike them being written is 'wrong' - that's your opinion and that's great but it doesn't affect how someone else writes them.

who are you that your opinion matters more? who are you to be the judge and jury on what is in or out of character when you didn't even create them in the first place? sound confident and condescending all you want, doesn't make your opinion any more or less valid than any other fan in the fandom.

Write characters any way you want to. fanfiction is supposed to be fun. if another fan tries to police you about the way you've portrayed a certain character tell them that you hope their toast always burns. and that they need a new hobby.

#i saw a bunch of fans discussing the 'correct' way to write a character and it makes me. so. mad.#advice on how to write a character is fine! it's welcome! it's great to discuss!#but to say that there is a right and wrong way to depict a character really raises my hackles #for context there's a bunch of fans who have high view counts on their fics and they're preaching out this garbage #of how to write [character]#and they're doing it to these fans who are drinking up their opinions because they're the 'cool popular writers'#and they're not at all saying that all of this is their opinion - that they are welcome to write this character whoever they want #they're saying 'writing this character any other way is wrong'#THIS is their personality and THIS is the way they speak #because they've got lots of hits and these are the things they like to see in the fics they write and read #so who's going to disagree with them??#i think this is the most tags I've ever written #ANYWAY - WRITE CHARACTERS IN FANFICTION HOWEVER TF YOU WANT #DO IT! but whenever they both were just strapped on cash, they’d pull together whatever change they did have on them and share whatever fast food/convenience store they could afford 🥺

one thing that always made me doubt my autism self diagnosis is special interests. my life has always been dictated by my very strong hyperfixations (since i was a baby!), but those are different from SI and i felt like nothing that i had matched the description of special interests. but i just fucking realized. that my special interest is English

#im still a bit confused on what a special interest is exactly #but from my understanding its ''kind of like a hyperfixation but way more long term and not as obsessive''#like hyperfixations are something that youre extremely obsessed and focused on for a period of time (from my experience ranging from a few #weeks to a couple of years) and during that period your entire life revolves around the thing youre hyperfixated on #its all you can think about all you can talk about all you can do it literally like possesses you and takes you over. you forget to eat and #drink and sleep and go to the bathroom because You Cant Stop Doing The Thing #eventually tho they fizzle out and tou move on #special interests however Dont fizzle out. theyre forever or at least for a really really long time. and theyre something you love and enjoy #learning all about but its not an overwhelming obsession like a hyperfixation is #my longest ever hyperfixations lasted from a year to almost two years #ive been consistently interested/in love/extremely excited about learning and speaking english since i was at least Six. couldve been #even younger i dont remember #ive Always enjoyed and seeked out learning english and ive always been advanced compared to other ppl my age because of how much #i like it #its shaped my whole life i mean i just wrote this whole ass thing in english #i love speaking in english and reading in english etc etc. always have. this is so eye opening for me #cool!!!!!
