Flufftober: Up against the wall kiss
Just a silly little thing for LAST YEAR’S flufftober.

“Nineteen…twenty…twenty-one…”
TK lets out an impatient sigh. “We should really tell her that she doesn’t actually have to count to 100 every time.”
Carlos huffs out a laugh and feels TK shiver as the puff of air tickles his neck. He loves having this effect on his husband - but that’s not what he’s focusing on now. “She’s practicing her numbers, TK. Besides, the longer she counts, the longer she’ll be distracted. And the longer she’s distracted…” Carlos lets his voice trail off as he trails a finger down TK’s cheek, hooks it under his chin, and tips his head back for a gentle kiss.
When he pulls back slowly, TK leans forward, chasing his lips.
“Forty… forty-one… forty-two…”
“Think we can get her to bed early?”
“TK, it’s three in the afternoon.”
“So, no?”
“No.”
“So… maybe we can pawn her off on her grandpa? And we can have a date night?”
“Considering Buttercup still has some purple fur from the last time he babysat,” Carlos replies with a soft chuckle, “No, I don’t think Grandpa Owen is in a babysitting mood.”
“Damn.”
“Fifty-eight…fifty-nine…”
Carlos grins and leans forward again, capturing TK’s lips with his. TK makes a surprised noise but relaxes into the kiss as Carlos pins him against the wall. He lets out a soft giggle, and Carlos instantly shushes him. It’s been ages since they had made out like teenagers, trying not to get caught.
“Ninety-nine…one hundred. Ready or not, here I come!”
Carlos moves back again, as much as the small space allows, and together they wait to be found.
They can hear Mari open doors and slam cabinets, both listening carefully to ensure she doesn’t open any external doors. She approaches the closet and pauses but then runs past towards the bedrooms.
“Hmmm,” TK mutters. “Okay, then.”
Tiny footsteps approach the closet again, and Carlos is sure the game is over, but just as quickly she changes direction, going back the way she came.
“What is she doing?” TK asks quietly.
Shrugging, Carlos says, “I have no idea. She might be confused because she hasn’t found either of us yet? We don’t usually hide together.”
“Yeah, well, you always have the best hiding spot.”
Carlos rolls his eyes. “No, it’s just that I can stay quiet. You always make too much noise.”
“Do not!” he protests, but Carlos sushes him right away, proving his point. TK is simply incorrigible. And he even has the audacity to roll his eyes before he continues in a hushed voice. “And anyway, I-”
But Carlos dives forward, sealing his lips over TK’s and pressing TK against the door. They kiss for a moment until Carlos breaks it, visibly leaving TK breathless as he rests their foreheads together. Good. That means his husband is distracted enough…
“So, about me having the best hiding spot…” Carlos begins.
“Yes?” TK breathes out.
“I’m not quite ready to give up my title as hide-and-seek champion yet,” Carlos says. In one swift move, he opens the closet door and pushes. TK looks shocked as he stumbles into the hallway and with a silent laugh, Carlos yanks the door shut again.
He hears Mari squeal with delight as she finds TK in the hallway. He wonders how long his husband will hold himself back – but it’s only a few seconds later that the closet door opens again, and TK is standing there with Mari settled on his hip.
“Found you!” their daughter exclaims.
“Yeah, found you!” TK echoes, sticking his tongue out.
“Well yeah, but I was found last!” Carlos points out with a grin.
“That’s ‘cause you’re the hide-and-seek king!” Mari kicks to be let down and Carlos shoots TK a smug look as he sets her on the ground. “Your turn to count!” Mari demands, poking at TK, before turning on her heel and running down the hallway.
“I’m sorry!” Carlos gives TK a wink and leans in close. “But I promise I’ll make it up to you tonight.”
“You better,” TK mutters. He closes his eyes and begins to count.

Danny heaved a sigh, wincing at Ahe before responding to Steve. “Just… Just have Duke process him. I don’t wanna deal with that. We’re supposed to be off today.”
“One, we’re never ‘off’. Two, I do want to deal with him. He shot my fucking husband,” Steve said pointedly.
“And got shot in return by a very nice Texan with a gun.”
“I’m an officer with Austin PD in Texas and I alerted HPD that I’d be here and carrying concealed,” Carlos assured, helping TK wipe his hands off with the patience of a saint. He started removing TK’s ring to clean it, the other man snatching his hand back.

Carlos sighed with an exasperated little smile. “It’s got blood on it.”
“And I’ll take it off to clean it. The only time you’re allowed to take my ring off me is if I’m unconscious and swelling.”
Carlos raised his hands in surrender. “Okay, okay. I’m sorry. I will never remove your ring unless you’re unconscious and swelling. You’re unconscious more than the average bear, though.”
TK pulled his ring off unhappily, offering it to Carlos to clean. “Swelling only.”

The party was at the Mclaren driver’s house and you were invited. Lando and you had been childhood best friends and he always invited you to watch his races which to everyone’s surprise, they figured you were both dating which made Charles’s blood boil.
“You alright, mate?” Charles snaps out of his trance when he heard Carlos’s voice, turning around to see him handing a glass of champagne.
“M’ fine.” Charles grumps as he downs his champagne, keeping his sharp gaze on you when Lando comes from behind, placing a palm on your back.
Carlos shrugs at his grumpiness before heading off for another glass of champagne. Charles was left in his thoughts, wondering if he should make a move.
You could feel Charles’s gaze burning a hole through you, little did he know. Lando knew that he had a thing for you but he never says anything about it. You excuse yourself from the conversation as you head to the restroom and Charles took that opportunity to follow you.
Your heart slightly jumps when you see Charles leaning against the wall, straightening his back when he sees you come out of the bathroom.
He clears his throat, “Sorry, i didn’t mean to scare you. I was just-”
“Following me?”
Charles’s cheek burn with embarrassment, quickly denying the fact that he was following and watching you. You smile at his expression, ‘cute’ you thought.
“I just need to use to restroom as well.” What a shit lie, Charles. He mentally curses in French, making you giggle. “At the women’s bathroom?”
“N-No, I um. I wanted to ask if you’d join me for dinner tomorrow night.” Charles was nervous, it might seem a little rushed, considering he followed you to the bathroom just to ask you out, he could’ve waited till the night ended but he didn’t.
Your heart flutters in surprise and so did your answer.
“I’d love to, Charles.” Charles couldn’t help but let out a sheepish smile, his heart feeling giddy.
“I’ll see you tomorrow night then.” He smiles before you give him a nod, walking back to the crowd as he watches the way your body moves.

It was the night you were having dinner with Charles. You liked Charles, more than you expected. Those sneaky glances he gave when he thought you wouldn’t notice, those nice gestures he made whenever he tried to impress you.

He left it for you in the Mclaren garage, a small apology note that wrote,

Reading that note instantly made you fell for him. You never told anyone, not even Lando.
You arrive at the restaurant Charles insisted on going, walking inside as you glance around to look for him. There he was.
The sight of him wearing a suit with those glasses made your clit throb, you kept a straight face before walking over to him. He sees you and his smile beams, he gets up from his seat, pulling your chair out for you to sit.
You smile, giving him a small thanks as he sits down as well.

Ruby was a little girl, she didn’t really listen to anything Charles had said until he mentioned the word ice cream. So when the family made it to the paddock, the girl was impatient. All she wanted was to wander around, but her mom wouldn’t let her.
“Okay, I have to go. I’ll see you two after. I love you.” Charles kissed his wife’s lips then crouched down to his daughters level. “Remember stay with your mother.”

“Yes, Ruby, ice cream after.” Charles kissed ruby on the cheek then waved goodbye to his family.
y/n waved goodbye, but squinted her eyes since the bright sun was blinding her. “Where are my sunglasses? Ruby, come here so mama can put sunscreen on you.” y/n opened her bag to find her sunglasses then the bottle of sunscreen for Ruby. But the thing with ruby was that she was easily distracted so before she could even make it to Pierre, she saw a woman walk by wearing her orange mclaren shirt that reminded her of the one she had seen her uncle Daniel wear several times on tv so she followed the woman just to tell her that her uncle Daniel had the exact same shirt.
“So Daniel, any pre race rituals for today?”
Ruby didn’t know where she was. All she heard was some woman talking to Daniel. Her uncle Daniel.
“Just same old rituals…”
“Uncle Daniel!” Ruby yelled, but the Aussie driver couldn’t hear her little yells over all the commotion in the paddock.

“Ruby Jules Louise Leclerc. I think.” Ruby replied which got a laugh from Christian and the rest of the Red Bull team.
“You think?” The team principal asked.
“I can’t remember which one goes first, but my dad and mom call me ruby. But I like Jules better. It sounds pretty.” Ruby admitted.
“It is pretty. You’ve got a very pretty name. And where’s your mother?” Christian questioned. he had met the girl’s mom before, but he couldn’t spot her anywhere.
“I don’t know. I saw uncle Pierre and i wanted to say hi to him but then I saw a lady with the same shirt uncle Daniel has and then I saw uncle Daniel but he didn’t see me and now I’m here talking to you.” The girl explained.
“Ah, I see. Your mother must be looking for you. Come on.” Christian took the girl’s hand and led her out the Red Bull garage.
“Where are we going?” Ruby asked.
“To get you back to your parents.”
“Can we get ice cream first?”
And that’s how Christian Horner ended up in the Ferrari garage.
“I believe I caught one of your tiny spies in my garage, Leclerc.” Christian announced as he brought the young girl to her dad, who was talking with his teammate.
“He gave me ice cream!” Ruby showed her dad the ice cream cone that Christian bought her.
“Where where you been?” Charles picked up his daughter.
Ruby shrugged and continued eating her ice cream. “My guess is that the little one ran off so y/n is probably freaking out looking for her. Kelly was with me when I bought her the ice cream. She told me she would text y/n that Ruby was found and that I was bringing her back to you.” Christian explained.
“I made a friend, daddy, her name is Penelope but her mama calls her P. We got ice cream together.” Ruby said.
“Ruby, you shouldn’t run off like that. What did I tell you?” Charles asked.
“That we would get ice cream.”
“Wow, Perceval.” Carlos laughed. “I mean, no ruby listen to your dad.”
“I said to stay with maman and you didn’t.” Charles frowned.
