So season 10 of Death Battle was bonkers...
so bonkers that I want to share my opinions on each and every episode (In one or a few sentences each)
Tumblr media
16: Killua vs Misaka [This was probably the middest episode to ever mid. So mid that my best buddy TJ has forgotten that it even exists on more than one occasion. 5/10
15: Darth Vader vs Obito Uchiha [neat choreography and somber ending, but the analysis and result just feel... "iffy" in a a way I can't describe. 6/10
14: Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer [While the Surfer's ending monologue was chillingly thought-provoking, this episode doesn't have much else going for it. 6.5/10
13: Dark Souls vs Skyrim [Neat and all, but I'd probably like it more if the animation was a tad less jank and all Fromsoft games didn't look the flippin' same. 7/10
12: Gojo vs Makima [This episode was pretty alright, at least if you're not a salty simp (Thankfully, I'm not) 7/10
11: Frieza vs Megatron [The fight was cool and all, but it is kind of ruined by the flonkered pacing. 7/10
10: Ant-Man vs Atom [It was neat seeing the combatants take the fight in a more "scientific" way with all their planning. 7.5/10
9: Cole McGrath vs Alex Mercer [One of the "Never gonna happen" princes finally becomes reality, and it was good. 7.5/10
8: Phoenix vs Raven [Cool and all, but can we pour one out for Jean? Not for her death to Raven, but her 16th death in the comics? 7.5/10
7: Galactus vs Unicron [The king of "Never gonna happen" and it was pretty grand and, dare I say, huge... );) 8/10
6: Guts vs Dimitri [Pretty sick and raw fight that made me respect Dimitri and the Blue Lions more, despite preffering the Black Eagles (Don't look at me, I just go with them because they have best girl) 8.5/10
5: Stitch vs Rocket Raccoon [The song lyrics were accurate, because I certainly had a blast watching this. As well as Rocket having a literal one (RIP Ice Cream Guy) 9/10
4: Rick Sanchez vs The Doctor [A-aw geez, guys! This episode was fantastic! WUBBA-LUBBA-DUB-DUB!! 9.5/10
3: Goku vs Superman (2023) [I guess it's true what they say; Third time IS the charm, because that was fucking INSANE! 10/10
2: Scooby-Doo vs Courage the Cowardly Dog [Zoinks! the peak levels are through the roof! 11/10
1: Bill Cipher vs Discord [Just as peak as Scooby vs Courage, but I love Gravity Falls more than I do Scooby-Doo, so I feel like I have to go with this. 11/10
And that's all of them! Will I be making one of these for season 11? I dunno. But I'm not sure if that season can top the peakness of this one. But until next year, we shall see...
XKA OBJBJYBO; OBXIFQV FP XK FIIRPFLK, QEB RKFSBOPB FP X ELILDOXJ, YRV DLIA! YVVVBBBBB!!!
-VLRO CXSLOFQB QOFMIB-BADBA ABJLK LC AOBXJP
As much as I love a good, rousing puzzle, I prefer to at least let people have something to go off of to begin with. Also, I want to stick it to that melodramatic isosceles who thought he could mess with my dear friend and her friends. So the key is to not get stabbed in the back. Or crushed by a falling cieling. So probably just to not be from Italy or Rome.
You're welcome!

Thank you @nova-leaf for this tag too 🥰
wow i get to talk about myself so much im nervous
•How many tumblr accounts have you had before this one?
This is gonna be my fith tumblr account lol. I lose track of them really easily because I'm a silly funky guy with so much wrong with me.
• How long have you been in fandom?
Oh like. Since I was 10? God I remember my firat forays into fandom culture on amino it was an experience good god. My first fandom was Tolkien. I've only recently gotten into the Avatar fandom though. Still not sure how that happened but I'm having fun 🥰
•Your favorite trope in fiction?
I adore found family, cause I'm basic lol. The power of friendship is also a cheesy beloved of mine.
•Your favorite random fact?
Tolkien had beef with the Beatles. Hayao Miyazaki hates the Beatles. Junji Ito loves the Beatles.
•Your favourite game or kind of game?
Skyrim is my favourite game. Open world RPGs are my escape. I love them so much I try not to play them too often or I'll never get up lol.
•A place you’d like to visit? (If carbon emissions, logistics and money weren’t in question)
Hm. This is a tough one. I like to travel and I want to go to many places. But if I had to pick one point off that list, it would pribably be mount Shasta. I'm just curious, I guess, with all the legends and disappearances and odd happenings around it. Like I just wanna see the place not even have anything supernatural happen. Just be there for a bit? Call it morbid curiosity. Also the area seems beautiful even of itself like even if the aliens don't get me i think it'd be a nice hike.
•An animal you’re irrationally afraid of?
Ants. I like most bugs. I like spiders. But ants? Ants give me straight up panic attacks? I don't know why. There's just something very terrifying aout them.
Also. Swans. But that's not an irrational fear. Geese and swans are in my opinion the true successors of dinosaurs. If you haven't been a girl scout cowering in a flimsy tent with your three other girl scout friends, in the middle of a thunderstorm, while a pair of feral swans is trying to peck their way into your tent you do not know true fear.
Their pecks hurt like a bitch too. Their beaks are serrated like a fucking saw.
•What’s your favourite season?
Autumn. In Poland we divide Autumn into two mini seasons. Golden Autumn, which is early autumn, when the freshly fallen leaves are all crispy and beautiful. And then we have Rainy Autumn, which is when it has rained and gotten much colder. I love both.
•A smell that brings you nice memories?
Tea. I started drinking tea when I was very young. My dad is an Englishman and the moment i stopped drinking breastmilk i was immediately given tea with milk.
I think I associate tea very strongly with my family and feeling loved by them. When I was younger, my parents would often wake up before me, so they would often make me tea and wake me up with it.
Making tea for someone is still a huge gesture of affection to me and there's nothing quite like the smell of a nice hot cup of tea.
(If you’re ok talking about food. If not, delete this part)
•What’s your favorite food from where you were born? And what’s your favorite food from some place else?
My favourite food from Poland, huh? I love a lot of Polish foods, but I if I had to pick something it'd probably be krówki [which translates to 'little cows']. They're fudgelike candies, similair to Scottish Tablets and White Rabbit Creamy Candy. They're delicious.
Tumblr media
For food from a different country? @nova-leaf has put the idea of Shortbread into my head now so that's all ill be thinking about I have to see if I have the stuff to make some at home or I'll go insane.
•What’s your favorite drink (if you drink alcohol, alcoholic and non-alcoholic)?
Alcoholic: Salty Caramel flavoured Krupnik. It is very difficult to explain what a Krupnik is? Its kind of like a liqueur.
Non Alcoholic: Orange Juice. It used to be diet coke but my addiction got so bad i had to quit cold turkey lest I completely wreck my health.
•Do you give your pets random table scraps?
Not random table scraps, but if I have any extra of whatever I'm cooking, and if they can eat it, I'll sometimes give them some as a snack or as an incentive while training them.
Thanks for the tag honey!

Honestly, all the talk about building for raw power in most TTRPGs just baffles me. Don't get me wrong, I've theorycrafted some optimized builds just for the fun of a math puzzle, but power only matters in relation to what you're against. You all did the super cool thing from reddit and made level 5 characters that function like level 9? Ok? Have fun doing just as well against my encounters that're now built for a level 8 or 9 character instead of level 5. If you'd just played something you like and were all underpowered, I'd just underpower the encounters and you'd have the same exact difficulty curve. Like, I might give the power gamer a little edge at times, but that's because I understand what you're wanting from the game. I'm being a good DM and giving you what you sought. You didn't "beat me," I just didn't prep for weeks of my free time with the intention of giving you a bad time. And that's what really gets me, what I'm noticing is that as the percentage of adversarial DMs seems to have decreased, the rate of adversarial PLAYERS seem to be increasing. There was always a section fighting against the DM, and they were sometimes justified, but the movement to counteract that has grown so large and gotten so much consideration in design I honestly feel like the reverse is becoming an issue. Hiding things from the DM so they can't touch it, or to later outsmart/undermine them. Telling the DM your plan in a 10-part series of questions to back them into agreeing before you say what you want to do, often a thing I would've just let you do anyway but am tempted to say no now out of spite. Intentionally breaking the game or ignoring plothooks and calling them out for being bad. Making broken builds specifically to fight the DM. and I'm like, ok? Are you after power fantasy, because I could've just given that to you? Or something else, tell me and give me time to make it. Right now, at best I'll see what you want and give it to you, at worst I won't and just throw stronger things at you. If you're constantly planning for doom, I'll give you doom, because I assume you wouldn't put that much effort preparing for a scenario unless you wanted it to happen. Just...talk to your DM. If you want something we'll at least work with you. Might make you work for it, but we're not your enemies, we're other players at the table. And yes, I know, "write a book." Counterpoint, if you want to just smash everything with no thought to those around you, "go play skyrim." because this a team game, a cooperative game. If you aren't there to have a good time with EVERYONE at the table, go do something by yourself. We both need to give and take here. I gave you a huge custom world with an entire story about how your OC and friends are the coolest and best, you can at least treat it with some respect. Because unless you're paying me, it's not the DM's "job" to do anything. I'm doing this out of the kindness of my heart and the [[Ant-sized]] [[Rapidly-shrinking]] amount of respect I have for you. Idk, I just feel like people came in like a flood, heard old horror stories about tyrannical DMs, and prepared for them...not realizing those were actually pretty rare, and the adversarial ways were just making people not want to DM. Good DnD is born of mutual respect and communication, like every other social relationship.

So I’ve recently been replaying New Vegas and I’ve admittedly got a bit bored of it for the time being. Don’t get me wrong, it is a game I love but I have been playing it a lot lately.
Interesting random fact though, before starting HRT I used to game like constantly. Like it was really hard to get me to be bored of a game. I could play the same game for days or weeks on end and not get bored. When I started HRT though, I stopped being able to do that. Like I still love video games but my interest shifted more towards reading books and watching TV. Not sure if anyone else who is trans has a similar experience to this when they started HRT?
But yeah, that was a bit of a tangent. I was basically writing this post with the intent of saying, I always play Fallout and The Elder Scrolls on the normal difficulty setting. Survival which was first introduced in New Vegas just always scared me. Which brings me onto something, I should tell you how I got into Fallout.
So basically, back in 2008 I wanted a PS3 with GTA IV for Christmas. GTA is one of my favourite video game franchises and as a kid it was pretty much the only thing I’d play. I never really strayed away from the games I knew and loved. And that was GTA. I did get The Sims eventually but that was kinda one of those rare exceptions. My Mum couldn’t find a game bundle that contained GTA IV though, so she got me a PS3 that came with Little Big Planet, Fallout 3 and Resistance. Her plan was, I trade the 3 games in to get GTA IV. I’d been brought up not to trade in presents though, so gave each game its fair shot. I hated Resistance so that went in the trade pile, Little Big Planet was fun so I kept it and well Fallout 3. Here’s the story.
Basically, I set up my character and quite enjoyed the character customisation. Beyond The Sims, i hadn’t really experienced something like that and loved that aspect. I loved the dialogue options and feeling like I had a say in the conversations and then I left the vault and things went downhill.
The compass confused me so I got instantly lost and had no idea where I was going, I got attacked by a giant ant and well I just ran. I stumbled on those train tunnels the vampire people who’s name escapes me lived in. I hung there for a bit but then ventured back out and bumped into Lucky Harry. I spent like several in real life days following this dude round the map. I then ended up at Big Town and hung there a bit too scared to leave the place.
I did in time get the hang of playing Fallout and honestly, playing a game where I was terrified due to my lack of skill was actually pretty immersive to the point it was kinda fun.
The point I am laying out here is I wasn’t that good and it took me a while to find my feet in Fallout, so the survival modes scared me cos it would mean finding my feet all over again. I also found Fallout New Vegas way more challenging than I did Fallout 3.
I got Fallout 76 back in 2018 though and with it being a multiplayer game, you don’t get to select your difficulty level and you are playing in what is effectively Survival Mode. It took me some time, but I did begin to get rather good at playing Fallout 76 and it changed my play style. On my replay of New Vegas, even though I’m doing normal mode, I noticed I am using some of what I picked up in 76 in that and I have found this play through far easier. Like I can pretty much 2 shot deathclaws in New Vegas now. Last time I played I was a lot of shotting deathclaws 😂 It took me so long to kill them 😭
It’s taken 14 years but I think I am finally ready to make the games more difficult for me. So tomorrow, I’m gonna boot up Skyrim starting a new game where I play in Survival Mode and I’ll likely do the same with Fallout 4 and New Vegas at some point 😊
I don’t know if anyone will be interested in any of this but hey, enjoy 😊

Miraak becomes Vyrthaal's like........Distant-But-Loving uncle type guy. Like he watches after Vyrthaal and teaches him ant Dragonborn stuff and, being a slightly more healthy and less fucked up adult than Serana, sort of becomes his proper adult supervision while he's a traumatized teenager going on adventures thru Skyrim to save the world. Like Miraak is absolutely traumatized and fucked up, both by Mora but Also from having been raised in the Dragon Cult but like. I feel like he can recover decently on his own. And also take care of these 2 awful gremlins.
He meets Kili and is like "why are you so normal and well adjusted to life" n Vyr and Serana r like "He grew up in a loving community that supported and cared for him instead of emotionally neglectful and abusive parents that kind of hated him" n Miraak is like. "Kids What The Hell."
Sina likes him. Make no mistake she has a moment of terror and disgust hearing he was once a Dragon Priest but then realizes "wait Vyrthaal said he rescued him from Apocrypha, he can definitely take care of this fucker if he tries anything. Wait. VYRTHAAL WHY WERE YOU IN APOCRYPHA!!!!!??????"one of Vyrthaal and Serana's aunties DEFINITELY challenges him to a brawl. Idk. Thinking About this man.

I don't think I'm good any more or important, if I ever was.
Its not okie but it's what I deserve.
I'm exhausted and have another two days for the weeks course stuff, unless I get a bunch of things to do over the weekend.
It's a short course thankfully.
Playing Grounded to pass the time and maybe some other games, I'm not sure I could play fallout or skyrim because they're reminders.
I guess not being able to ramble to someone, I'll just spout it here, I've built a silly base which has taken quite a while and begun to upgrade and explore, taking the fight to the giant spiders and stopped two hopeless invasions from the red ants >.<
I've largely done it solo to allow the others to join in without having to help build the boring stuff.
Time with friends is nice but tiring, I miss the person I would hope calls me bestfriend, but I'm not missed I think and I'm certainly not very entertaining or good to have around... that sort of feeling hurts most, being something unloved, unimportant and not worth having around.
There is no value to my presence, it wasn't long ago that I was being told we should talk and spend time, but that quickly disappeared.
I wish I could disappear, I'm a burden, just a bother who can occasionally give something nicer than myself.
I'm a little too tired to fight the bad thoughts tonight, I apologise deeply... I should pass out, it's been two days now >.<

- I’ve beaten Mega Man Battle Network 2. I’ve talked about how MMBN1 shared a lot in common with Digimon World 3 - something significant in the endgame of MMBN2 seemed as if it were ripped straight out of Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth. I like coincidental similarities with other games I like.
- AFL 23 hasn’t arrived for me yet (it was $15 cheaper including postage to order it from a specific store that isn’t in my home town), but it really seems like it needs patches urgently. Big Ant had the same problem with AO Tennis, which I bought at launch and was terrible initially, but it got tons of patches and after a month or so it was legitimately good. I hope the same thing happens with AFL 23.
- I’ve been trying to work out why I sometimes - if not often - prefer the gameplay of some games to others when it’s more “limited” or “restrictive” (for lack of a better term). For instance, I prefer SMT4/4A’s overworld gameplay to SMT5′s despite the latter’s movement being less restrictive, it’s world being more open and having a handful of QoL improvements such as fast travel. My theories are that: -More restrictive gameplay tends to create a more unique experience - the SMT examples would be that SMT4/4A have non-combat gameplay that’s quite unique while SMT5 has non-combat gameplay that’s quite similar to a lot of open-world(esque) games. -Maybe I prefer to play more “structured” games, which is harder to make when the game’s world is larger - and the more modern a game is, the more likely it is to have a larger world. There are a lot of exceptions to this though in terms of what I enjoy (such as Skyrim being one of my favourite games of all time), so I don’t know about this one. -Maybe it’s just nostalgia, or a sense of familiarity. This wouldn’t explain my enjoyment of MMBN (the remaster was my first experience with it) or why the newest entries of Smash Bros always end up being my favourite.

Y domingo editar y tengo algunos planes interesantes. Espero que la semana que viene no sea tan caotica y almenos solo me de por llorar menos.

I have Stray, it’s just 🤌🏻🤌🏻
I literally never stop meowing 😭✋🏻 I’m currently binge-playing Century: Age of Ashes which is a free-to-play game on steam and I think on most consoles as well?
Basically you play as like a dragon rider and you fight against other dragons in a couple different game modes. There’re four (4) playable classes right now, and it’s very fun. Kind of battle royale-y but also not quite? If you wanna see some gameplay before installing there’re a couple of videos and there are videos on the steam store as well hehe
I was stuck on Skyrim for a while, xd. Wanted very badly to be a werewolf 😭✋🏻 still such a great game 😔🤌🏻
Other games I enjoy are Dead By Daylight (horror survival thing, available on steam for pc and most if not all consoles), Empires of The Undergrowth (an ant colony game type thing, more tactical than anything) and WolfQuest (the newest edition)!
P.s: I’ve loved all your work so far :(( I have yet to read lacuna just because I’ve been putting it off ㅠㅠ but I’m sure I’ll be freaking out the moment I finish it 😭😭
Might pop in again later but enjoy the rest of your day!!
- <3
OOOH i’m adding these to my list - esp. the one with an ant colony because that concept has me cackling.
re: stray - my favorite thing of all time is getting a paper bag stuck on my head 😫 whoever made this game perfectly captured cat behavior; it’s wild.
re: p.s. - tysm 🥹 lacuna is my favorite child (don’t tell the others) so i’d love to hear your thoughts when you do read it! tissues may be necessary; it’s v angsty lol.
have a good afternoon and/or evening (i think? lol) !!!

Fallout 76 Live-Action Film Looks Like It Was Made by Bethesda
Tumblr media
The world of the Bethesda RPG game is so perfectly captured in a new Fallout 76 live-action film trailer that it appears as though Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Starfield studio produced the movie itself. Details like the Pip-Boy and the Vault suits, weapons, and holotapes help to create an impression of what the Amazon Fallout show might look like. Available to watch now, the Fallout 76 live-action concept trailer is created by YouTube channel Infectious Designer, and the team has seemingly gone to enormous lengths to reproduce the world and style of our beloved apocalypse shooter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_vhnMEt-ns It opens with a bright-red Nuka Cola truck, arriving at a suburban house staffed by a Codsworth-style Mr. Handy robot. From there, things go drastically downhill, as the bombs drop and we cut to various survivors carrying laser rifles and wearing Vault suits, scrounging through the Appalachian wasteland. Power armour, plasma rifles, the dull-green glow of the Pip-Boy screen – Infectious Designer has done a fantastic job of making the movie look faithful to the Fallout universe, and there are stacks of little visual easter eggs buried throughout the trailer. I wdon’t ant to spoil them all, but I especially like the Blast Radius board game, tucked behind the TV in the opening sequence. The film comes four years after the initially troubled launch of Fallout 76, with Infectious Designer dedicating the movie to “the bloodied wanderers who found beauty in a broken world”. “I get it,” the channel says. “Fallout 76 had a rough launch, but it doesn’t discount the memorable experience of stepping out of Vault 76 for the first time and exploring the Appalachian wasteland with friends. Exploring, building and pausing to take an epic photo amongst the chaos was fun. The world was beautiful and the adventures were abundant if you were willing to look for it. There’s definitely something S.P.E.C.I.A.L about this game. This video is the manifestation of the inspiration I found.” There’s no mention of whether the trailer might get expanded into a full-length film project, but it certainly gives a glimpse of what the Fallout Amazon series may look like when it supposedly launches in mid 2023. Until then, get your ghoulish, irradiated teeth into some of the other best open-world games. You might also want to keep updated on the next Bethesda opus, and everything we know about the Starfield release date. There are also lots of details on Starfield ship building, to get you thinking and planning ahead of your giant leap. Read the full article

It’s the End of the World as we Know It- Inspirations for Hell’s New Management
Hell’s New Management was not the first game I thought up for this project, originally I was going to have a go at an RPG like Skyrim or a Looter Shooter on line with Destiny, but through some knew lenses, I instead focused on a Rogue-Like/Lite based on some of my personal favourite games such as Enter The Gungeon and Risk of Rain Two, such inspirations I went over in the earlier slides with other inspirations, however this Slide is to go further into depth onto some that were less developed on the original page, such as my musical inspirations.
Lemon Demon: One of my favourite artists, Niel Cicirega, A.K.A, Lemon Demon, is an Indi artist that is well known for his bizarre themeing and interesting use of unconventional music techniques. Lemon Demon has been a big help throughout the entire creation of my artwork for my FMP, his style of serious yet joking songs, to a point that some songs, even without meaning are given such by those who listen, have inspired entire ideas for the world, such as the dialogue I have throughout of being that of a comedy while having a darker and more serious undertone, with the idea of taking over hell comical in nature, but serious in execution with different ideologies clashing together.
I was also inspired artistically by his album cover to Hip to the Javabean, a cartoony demon like pillow who would influence characters like the Golem to be more cute instead of horrific abominations. Record Slave, another character who is a physical manifestation of the extras menu, (such as replaying music, dialogue, cut-scenes, etc,) is based off of the song Modify and how people will go to extremes to look cool, what reflects how Record Slave gave up his humanity for what he wanted.
Shayfer James: A far more, at least overall, serious song writer and singer known for his far harsher rock that looks into a characters actions, what most songs do, but with James’s following curler characters or those who have been wronged, such as the song Every Fallen Feather, following a man’s and Angels love story before God kills her for sinning by sleeping with him, or Tombstone Road, of a presumable violent group who are fighting for their lives and trying to prevent change.
Shayfer James’s songs inspired characters such as Freya, this is due to her wanting to rid herself of her biological attributes and to become an angle instead of a demon what I was influenced to do by his song, Every Fallen Feather, but inversed to be about her instead of an angel, with her having a human lover who went to heaven who she wishes to go back to.
Dante’s Divine Comedy: Dante’s writings have been a major source of inspiration for my proposed game, with his depiction  of Hell, Purgatory and Heaven being amazing sources of interesting and perplexing Ideas, and even though I didn’t act on them all, like an area within Hell full of sand that damages you when you stop moving, forcing the character to continue moving and to not stay still, based on the seventh ring of hell’s final segment. I had always heard of Dante’s Inferno, but to find out that more existed was quite a shock, considering that I find Inferno a bit sluggish and the later segments, while longer, much quicker and enjoyable to read.
Dante’s writing introduces many aspects from across mythology and belief and is quite sad with some historical knowledge before entering in, with Dante having a character, Virgil, the Roman Poet, unable to achieve his return to Heaven due to being born before Christ and so unable to rectify his sins, what is a extremely unsatisfying, but shows Dante’s devotion to his own world that not even in his own writing can he save his hero. This influenced how I wanted to implement generally morally grey aspects to characters and how many innocents suffered, unable to ascend and to be stuck in hell for the remainder of their lives, with very minimal choice.
Adma Ant: A weird choice overall for inspiration, but when brainstorming ideas, Adam Ant, (from band Adam and the Ants,) kept popping up. A talented singer and songwriter in his own merit, his music, while falling out of favour in modern days, and even being considered crude back in the 80’s, was a pioneer of his genre, who helped elevate it to where it is. However Adam, while many close friends talk of his kindness and good manners, was not alright, being host to Bipolar Disorder, causing droughts of happiness that caused gusts of depression that could last days, weeks and months on the worst of occasions, what terribly effected his mental state. This doesn’t mean that Adam wasn't a good man, as he certainly was at times, especially when a good day came by, but Adam talks about how he struggled with his Bipolar Disorder and how it kept derailing his life, with himself finding himself in assaults and crimes that he was deemed too fundamentally unwell to deal with.
Adam Ant talks about his time recovering and how he did, talking about how the drugs he had to take to help himself actually caused his life to become generally worse than before, with him unable to create music while on it. This had such an affect on his life that he wished to help bring it to the spotlight, such as when he helped the Depression Awareness campaign “My Black Dog,” named after the metaphor for depression.
Adam Ant has become one of my favourite artists as of late after my father introduced me to him through his vinyl collection and his punk/rock style influenced my while making my artwork.
Super Paper Mario: I was inspired more by this game due to its place inside my heart, it being one of my earliest memories I can recall clearly. This game was a main pillar for what Hell’s New Management was sculpted out to be, a comedy with a darker core, as in SPM we see worlds get erased before we can help them, we don’t stop it just before everything goes wrong, we fail as we see it get enveloped by a swarm of purple mists as it is reduced to a bleached void, even killing the heart of the world, leaving it a stone and nearly leaving you beat. This directly inspired the darker and lighter tones I wanted to be found throughout the game, similar to how Lemon Demon inspired me.
This game showed me at an early age that children media didn’t have to be stupid, but also it didn’t have to be cruel, it could have its moments of levity and happiness, but it showed me that if there is no stakes, and no show of what wrong could happen, there’s no drive for your goal. That’s why Sa10 pushes the plot forward, as if David just went to take Hell for no reason it would be pointless unless his character was revolved around it, what he isn't, that is why Mario is always out to save Princess Peach, so there’s a reason to go across the mushroom Kingdom.
