I have this headcanon that Cardan will realize Oak's feelings first when they go to him and Jude is gonna be like “why is oak so adamant on not killing her, nothing ever stopped him before??” and Cardan will just blink at her like r u serious rn and say “isn’t it obvious? he is absolutely in love with that girl.” simps recognize simps

Cardan is the biggest fucking simp istg. I love writing his point of view. It’s just:

i love how cardan, while an integral part of her story, isnt just her story. hes like quite auxiliary to her ascension of internal empowerment and the narrative in tfota is decidedly centered around her and her autonomy

I love how jude could have been one of the "I could fix him" girlies but was mentally ill enough to be a "I'll be even worse than him" girlie.

We really gave Cardan redemption because it was his drinking versus jude going on killing sprees and hiding bodies???

We do not talk about this particular part of Cardan’s novella enough, where he basically confessed that physical intimacy is more fantastic for him when it’s mingled with fear. 👀Aslog basically calls him out too lmaoo

Also, Cardan hearing the “swive” part which apparently means consummation in the second story and going “This is definitely not what you told me when I was a kid” is so funny 😭
