I decided to make adult designs and "where are they now" stories for all the child tieflings who are confirmed to survive to Act 3.

Unbeknownst to her, Arabella was a latent sorcerer with a natural connection to the Weave. Her powers likely would've manifested at puberty, but touching the idol of Silvanus imbued her with wild druid magic, multiclassing her prematurely. This caused an internal struggle between the two powers, which threatened to rip her and anyone around her apart. Fortunately, with Withers' guidance, she set out to follow the Weave and found balance in her new, strange abilities. For years she traveled Faerûn alone, honing her skills and making peace with her past. Eventually, she became known as the "Wondering Storm", so attuned to nature some would mistake her for Silvanus' Chosen. Those who crossed her, however, would swear she was Jergal's Chosen; able to end a life with a single stare. Though not unkind, Arabella became feared by many for her stoic personality, mysterious presence, and peculiar command of the Weave. It seemed that wherever she was needed, she would inexplicably be.

Though Raphael went silent, Mol continued to enjoy, and perhaps abuse, the gifts from her patron. With the Absolute defeated, she quickly clawed her way up the ranks of the Guild, eventually becoming a pseudo ward to Nine-Fingers Keene. For years she would sharpen her skills, mentored by Keene and her most trusted associates, until she challenged the notorious crime lord to a duel for leadership. Much to her surprise, Keene lost, and was therefore forced to relinquish command to the young tiefling. Seeing the move as a betrayal, however, the Guild's loyalty was split, causing the criminal powerhouse to fracture. This led to a dark time for the Guild, with many in Baldur's Gate referring to it as the "Outlaw Civil War". Much blood was shed during this conflict, but eventually Mol turned the tides in her favour, running Keene and those still loyal to her out of the city. She would go on to rebuild the Guild in her image, successfully and more fearsome than ever; though, when she approached her old colleagues with an invitation to join, they all declined.

Once he managed to enter the city, Mattis tried to find his companions from the Grove, but he ultimately turned his sights to conning rich families with "panaceas from the hells". For a while, he flourished under this racket, until his scheme was exposed by jealous competition. This led to him being violently assaulted by angry customers, nearly ending his life—he only survived by rolling into a rapid canal. After being saved by a kind, impoverished couple who fished him out of the water, he spent nearly three months confined to a bed. His recovery was slow and agonizing, but hardly discouraging. Instead of succumbing to his misery, he took the time to plot his revenge. With the couple's help, he learned the laws of the land and revived his strength. Then, when able, he cut his hair, disguised his face, spied on the man who wronged him, and subsequently tricked him into signing his business over to the couple. Together, they turned the questionable business into something respectable. Mostly. Mattis' silver tongue finally became an asset, rather than a survival tactic, though he was never above a good swindle.

Ide and Umi took up arms during the Absolute's attack on the city, each of them basking in the action. Realising that Umi had developed an insatiable bloodlust, and itching for more battles herself, Ide suggested they enlist into the army. Though technically too young, the new General—appointed by High Duke Ravengard after the fall of the Absolute—accepted them as apprentices until they came of age.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though their time with the Flaming Fist was imperative to their training and survival, they found the rules and hypocrisy of the troop disheartening, and even more so when the General died. Eventually they deserted, leaving Baldur's Gate entirely and starting a small band of vigilantes. To some, they were a menace. To others, they became heroes of the Sword Coast. No matter the case, Ide and Umi were inseparable, never seen apart.

Inspired by his saviours, Mirkon continued to write stories about his time in the Grove and his rescue from the harpies. He never found his parents, but he refused to live in the slum's orphanage. Life was hard for the young tiefling, often forcing him to grovel for food and coin. On the worst days, he found comfort turning his stories into songs, which he slowly morphed into a semi-profitable street act. This eventually caught the attention of Alfira, who one day happened to be passing by. Recognising his talent, and overjoyed to be reunited, she took him in and taught him how to play the violin. Together, they created a lucrative show that expanded well beyond the Elfsong Tavern, which aided Alfira in opening her dream college. She and Lakrissa would soon adopt Mirkon, and he would later become one of the most beloved and celebrated instructors at the college.

Though working as a hawker for the Baldur's Mouth kept Silfy fed and relatively sheltered, she grew listless. Dealing with rude and racist customers hardened her enough to snap back, resulting in her termination. With nowhere to go, she found herself wandering into Ramazith's Tower, where she implored Rolan for a job. Feeling for her plight, Rolan put her to work stocking shelves and filling orders. It wasn't exciting work, but she was safe and satisfied, until one day a customer's tome exploded, causing a flurry of rainbow flames that whirled into the shape of a unicorn. This event, though frightening, would inspire Silfy to start reading the books in the shop, with the help of Tolna and Rolan. To everyone's surprise, she proved to have an impressive aptitude for magic, and she soon found herself enthralled. Within just a few years, Silfy would be accepted into Blackstaff Academy, where she would excel in her studies and catch the eye of the great Vajra Safahr. She would offer Silfy a position in the school, as well as a mentorship, but Silfy would politely decline, graduate, and return to Bauldr's Gate. Her true home.

Yeah I get it, we all like being mean to the npcs for fun,
But have you considered buying a newspaper from Silfy every day to boost his confidence?
Have you considered buying all of Yenna's soup at double the gold price and with all the toys and flowers you can find?

draw happy tieflings!( if it seems fun) or scratch being silly!
.I honestly love the tiefling kids so much. The entire tiefling camp is just amazing, and I was so heartbroken to find the adults in act 2, just the initial feeling of coming across them for the first time and being like "wait, I know these people" is just UGH it killed me. Luckily I'd taken then mountain path so I was with Kar'niss instead of the group of Harpers who just TRAMPLE all over them in their haste to get to the ambush sight if you go through the Underdark. Also, it's worth noting the tiny difference between a Tiefling MC and a non-tiefling, I think Ikaron(?) calls you brother and is pretty relaxed around you, whereas he's mad suspicious if you're not a Tiefling, very cute. There's probably more, but I am Tristan at heart so I'm just playing him over and over again.
.Anyways, sketchy sketchy 😘.

Tav Origins
So, I'm curious. What origins have ya'll made up for your Tav's in BG3? Cause if you're anything like me you constructed elaborate fucking backstories for those bitches.
I'd really like to know 'em! Reblog this post with yours!
And, as a show of good faith, here's mine.
First off, my Tav's name is Invi. He's a Tiefling Paladin, Oath of the Ancients, and how he came to be a member of that order is a bit of a story!
So, Invi was once an urchin living on the streets of Baldur's Gate. His family had been displaced by a greedy slumlord and his parents had died of the plague, leaving Invi all alone. Invi turned to thieving to avoid starving, but by all accounts he wasn't very good at it, escaping by luck more than skill.
But one day, Invi's luck ran out. He pickpocketed what looked like a wealthy man and was caught by the watch, who dragged him back tot he man for judgement. Turns out the man in question was a Paladin of Tyr, Sworn to the Oath of the Ancients.
Desperate, Invi lied, saying the man had given him the money. The guards didn't believe him, but when they asked, the Paladin looked at Invi for a good long while and said: "Of course! But, my young friend, you left so quickly! Did you forget I gave you this as well?"
And the Paladin gave him the Golden Ring on his finger, carved with the symbol of his order. The Paladin, named Cirion, bid the gards leave, and walked Invi to a safer place. There, Cirion said, "Now you be careful now boy. And if you're ever in need, let that ring guide you. And it may do far more than that."
Invi went on his way. He used the money, but he never dared part with the ring. He puzzled and puzzled over Cirion's words. Eventually it became too much for Invi, and he sought Cirion again, seeking answers for his strange behavior.
Invi tracked down the Temple of Tyr and showed the ring to the Paladin guarding it he was let in with a smile. Unfortunately, Cirion was away, but the Paladins were more than happy to allow him to stay.
So, Invi stayed, waiting for Cirion to return. But as the days turned to weeks, the Paladins offered him things other than food and board. They offered to show him sword work. How to sew and cook and other things. Before long, Inni felt at home there, terrified it would end when Cirion returned.
And return Cirion did. His cloak dusty from the road, his sword well-used from hunting demons, Invi was brought before him, and Invi asked his question.
"Why did you give me this ring?"
"You were a child in need, I believed you needed it more than me."
"I could not sell it. And it... it brought me here."
"Just as it brought me here, all those years ago."
And so Invi became Cirion's apprentice. He trained and grew and learned. He laughed freely. He brought aid to his fellow urchins, the ones he'd grown up with, providing them aid and succor and pulling them out of the streets when he could. The order was more than happy to provide. Gold, after all, is useless when hoarded like a dragon.
And on the day Invi took his Oaths and became a Paladin in full, he embraced the now old and worn Cirion and called him father, and never had either man felt more love and pride than they did in that moment.
And, years later, a Mind Flayer Tadpole in his brain and the gaze of a False God upon him, Invi is in The Grove, trying desperately to save the refugees there. When, in the midst of it, he's robbed by a pack of young tieflings.
Invi catches them, of course, he still remembers the old tricks. Some are annoyed, others are unrepentant, but the girl, Silfy, crying in shame and fear, that he sees something... familiar in.
Invi smiles, consoles her, and presses a familiar ring into her hand.

Silfy is Mattis sister?!?!? I literally just thought they were both two of the orphan kids and like, either friends or paired up together by Mol on the con.
Oh wow. THAT'S why he's suddenly disproportionately nice to you the rest of the game if you don't get mad at Silfy for the con.

Self-indulgent post. Saw someone on tiktok making an adult Mol in the character creator and decided to go fully off the walls and do that with all the tiefling kids (or at least all of them that I had ideas for). Strap in
So op made Mol a rogue which I understand but honestly. I really feel like even if cut loose from her deal with Raphael Mol would just go out and find another devil to cut deals with. Let her. She's good at it. She's away from the city a lot to fulfill her pact deals and do some wheeling and dealing on behalf of the guild as she works to climb the ranks. Also her horns had more of a growth spurt than she did
Tumblr media
Mattis my beloved. Still run the shop along with some side deals you don't need to know a thing about. Mol's still defacto leader but I feel like he's the one who actually keeps most consistent contact with the rest of the kids.
Tumblr media
Along with his sister Silfy, who is a pretty shit pickpocket but a pretty good shop guard all things considered. Still a little bit of a crybaby
Tumblr media
I like to think Arabella spends a few years with a proper circle (probably not Halsin's, all things considered. Too many memories) before returning to Baldur's Gate to join the druids there trying to help what fragments of the wild that remain there thrive. I think she probably has some affinity for the Circle of Spores. Her time with the Bone Man has given her a healthy respect for the role death plays in the cycle of life
Tumblr media
Doni (who's horn color I fucked up) still doesn't like to talk but retains a knack for finding hidden things and vanishing into thin air. He mostly does caravan escort jobs where no one really cares about trying to develop a rapport with him. When he's in the city he stays with Mattis or Mirkon
Tumblr media
Umi never does pick up the sword again but does become one of Rolan's first apprentices (along with Ide who I forgot to make). He sends money to the rest of the Elturel kids when he can and occasionally helps Mol get a little wiggle room in her contract
Tumblr media
Mirkon's a struggling bard with facial hair that's struggling even more. He's a much better writer than when he was a kid, though not a much better speller. He mostly hangs around the guild to perform and wants to take over the tavern one day. Still daydreams about being a hero just like Baldy Ron
Tumblr media
Finally Meli my own personal glup shitto. Nested deep in guild hierarchy. Away from the city even more often than Mol. Mostly no contact these days with the rest of the old gang but all of them know where he keeps the spare key to his hovel and that he'll never kick them out

When you first meet Mol at the hideout in the grove and you trade with her she sells two stuffed teddy bears and ones described as threadbare and well loved and this just breaks my heart because I’m imagining the tiefling kids down there sacrificing their stuffed animals to be sold

WIP Whenever
Tagged by @commander-krios! And, uh, whomever wants to do this, consider yourself tagged. I am old and bad at this.
Funnily enough I woke up to the tag after debating making a writing post when I woke up. Today is for finishing the next chapter of Return to Elturel and, potentially, starting chapter 9 of Time and Again. I'm not letting myself write anything else until I get out those chapters.
Speaking of RoE, would you like a Silfy POV that will break your heart?
---
Silfy didn’t remember much about her mommy and daddy.
Mattis did. Ever since Mama and Papa talked to them about going to Elturel, he started talking about them again. Daddy was a Hellrider, like Papa, who was killed in Avernus. She barely remembered what it was like in Avernus except that it was very hot and very scary, and Mol had found them and claimed she was going to protect them now. She tried very hard to remember what Daddy looked like, even after Mattis told her how Daddy was big and strong, and how Mattis thought his adult horns were going to look like Daddy’s. But all she could remember was that his hugs were strong and tight, and he hugged her so tight it almost hurt before he went away.
Not like Mommy’s hugs. Mommy’s hugs were soft and warm, and she smelled like cinnamon. Mommy always let her lick the spoon when she was baking something yummy. And Mommy protected her when devils came into their home. When she thought of Mommy, she thought of Mommy screaming, and then a lot of red, and then she couldn’t remember anything else.
She dreamed of Mommy and Daddy that night, and there was a lot of red and screaming and monsters. She woke up crying. Silfy tore herself from the bed she was sharing with Mol and ran out of the room, past the huge guy with two different colored eyes who came with Mol, past the room where her friend Samara was sleeping, and tried the door where Mama and Papa were staying.
It was locked. Silfy knew what happened when the door was locked, because Papa and Mama got really upset when they would pick the lock and come in the room, and now Mama had Bean in her belly. But she was scared, and she couldn’t get to her Mama and Papa, and the tears were falling harder, and she started wailing for her parents.

Let’s try this again—
Bg3 inktober day: who knows. My cat and I both need surgeries and scans so I've fallen off.
Prompt: Tieflings or Goblins?
I do not draw children, it's supposed to be Mol and Silfy buuuuuuuuut 🤷🏾‍♀️. I also think my art style is edging a little too close to realistic again. My favorite part of art is painting/rendering, so it makes sense.
However, I prefer the final result of my DUrge and shadowheart much more
I may be annoying and do a daily art dump at some point just to get all my stuff on one account. I've recently filled a sketchbook and started another. I don't know...would that be annoying?
