no thoughts just thinking of rin coming to my dance comp :(
there’s lots of different girls strutting around, confidence radiating off bare skin that’s barely covered or yet again, wearing such tight and flattering clothing that anyone else would be left drooling — but he’s got the usual aloof look on his pretty features, shoulders slightly slumped but frame still towering over the crowd.
teal eyes glint with excitement when we finally squeeze our way through. in all honesty, this place and event is anything but what he feels comfortable in — but he’s got a damn good reason to be here. the venue is a tad too noisy, the music nothing like what he’d ever willingly listen to, and the mc is screeching in a way that has him scowling. girls are bumping into him left to right, some making their way out or some marking their choreos for the last time, others jogging over to their s/o’s waiting in the crowd. but he pays them no mind when i walk over, the rest of the group giving their hi’s and waves, and he nods a bit before leaning down to kiss at my forehead — even though it’s clammy w sweat and warm from exertion. he waits until im finished gobbling down the water bottle, then stuffs a protein bar in my hand — the package already slightly torn for easier access — and smiles a bit when the adrenaline high eventually lets up and our eyes meet. “hey, pretty. you did well up there.”

I wonder what the kids and teachers in luz's school think of her now. Shes stopped "terrorizing" other kids, mainly because she seems to have stopped engaging with most of her classmates period. She no longer brings live animals or taxidermy to school. She even participates in english class occasionally, even if she doesnt "get" the point of the book. Her rants only clock as suicidal if you know about her time in the boiling isles which the people at her school do not.
I wonder if luz's teachers and schoolmates think that luz mellowed out over the summer. If the principal/counselor that suggested she go to the camp patted himself on the back because shes "improved."

headcanon kristoph is partial to sinfully rich chocolate. it's one of his most obvious weaknesses because he's honest about it. every time he's out to dinner with phoenix, he does this whole act at the end like "oh hmmmm should i do the chocolate lava cake this time? i really shouldn't. it's so unhealthy. but i'm going to be thinking about it later. oh alright. you talked me into it. i'm going for it! oh i'm so bad, wright. really. we're living dangerously tonight." and phoenix just takes a biiiig swig of juice straight out of the bottle every time and is like "ya cheers i'll drink to that babygirl."

im one of the biggest aranea fans out there. i love her. have been for years. BUT.
i do often toss around the idea of araneas role being replaced with feferi, who i think couldve served this role for several reasons...
feferi has probably the closest thematic ties with the dream bubbles, both helping create them and being our first real exposure to the afterlife. she could have easily remained relevant in the story as a ghost.
act 6, esp early act 6, is about the condesce. yes we get plenty of meenah but she doesnt actually do much outside of the intermission. i think having the three iterations of peixes in major character roles wouldve been! interesting!
then theres feferis classpect. witches are among the most powerful classes, and feferi as a witch of life (even an unrealized one) would have massive potential over the outcome of the new timeline and the new universe.
feferis coddling and slightly manipulative nature (YES she does have flaws and i love her for it) could easily be exacerbated by circumstances to manifest as a savior/god complex for the new timeline. paaarticularly if the horrorterrors are getting killed left and right by lord english.
just. agh agh agh. feferi you have so much potential you are like an egg to me.

I'm sorry but this just pisses me off (Not Hunt obviously, but Bryce)
Bryce rant incoming which you can just ignore and I'll probably delete later
But Bryce just puts all the blame on the Asteri. And yes ultimately they are to blame in the larger sense of things. But Bryce plays a direct role in leading them down the path that results in Hunt, Ruhn and Baxian being caught. It was her need to find out Danika's secrets with no thought to the consequences, her idea to go to the Eternal City. And she takes NO personal responsibility for it at all!
Hunt is blaming himself for everything that's happened. Even when it's not his fault at all. When we're in his pov he's constantly drowning in guilt, thinking about how he should of done more, he should of tried harder, he should of been better, how it's all his fault this happened and that his friends suffered.
And then Bryce does none of that. When we're in her pov she doesn't really show any major guilt. I can't think of any times when she blames herself like Hunt does. And I'm not saying she should be wracked with guilt. But a normal person, a good person, will usually feel bad and will feel guilty and blame themselves to some degree when something bad happens and people they care about are hurt, regardless of how big or small they're involvement is, or even if they're not at fault at all, case in point Hunt being wracked with guilt even when it's not his fault.
And to make it worse she acknowledges that Hunt warned them, warned her. But that she disregarded it and would of done it no matter what.
And then she has the audicity to say she doesn't regret it. And she thought they were on the same page. ON THE SAME PAGE!!?? Hunt made it clear in hosab that he didn't want to go down this road again, that he didn't want to get involved. YOU just didn't listen Bryce. And yeah Hunt's an adult, he can make his own decisions and he could of said no and not gone. But of course, OF COURSE!! he wasn't going to let Bryce go down that road alone, because he loves her, and doesn't want anything to happen to her, and wants to protect, so of course he would never desert her. But that doesn't mean he wanted to do it!
For Bryce to be that unaware of Hunt's feelings, when he explicitly stated them. For her to be that disconnected from her mate's feelings that she's surprised that he wasn't really on board is kinda unfathomable to me. Just that complete lack of awareness really does make her look quite selfish/self centered.
Anyway sorry, this post is a mess but I just had to vent
And then when Hunt mentions the consequences he and his friends faced, Bryce makes it about her pain. She's hurt that Hunt mentioned that they suffered. And the worst part is, Hunt then regret's it, he regrets saying something that hurts Bryce, because he cares about her and feelings. And she does not consider his feelings to the same degree
It just pisses me off

y3 has made me feel many things but one of the things that lingers with me the most about it is how majima takes every possible opportunity and makes every possible gesture to say “please don’t leave me alone again, please take me with you when you leave, I WANT to be right next to you when you need me, I’ll literally do anything for you, just don’t leave me alone again” always indirectly but in strong enough ways that i think it’d be obvious to anyone paying attention EXCEPT Kazuma Kiryu, The Densest Man On Earth, who he’s pleading to in the first place. it’s. frustrating to watch. someone needs to grab kiryu by the shoulders and tell him. for the love of god. this man loves you so much and you keep leaving him when all he wants to do is help you and be with you please just take him to okinawa oh my god
