I dont think he went on the lls to reassure fans tho? he can do that in a tweet or ig post, i think james needed to fill a spot and theyre good friends and it was in london so he just went there to have some fun and get some exposure, while also taking the change to reassure fans while hes at it but i dont think that was the only purpose???

My comment on that was from yesterday, before the show aired, based on a post from someone in the audience who says James himself said Louis was there to reassure fans he was still working on material, etc. From what I can tell, that happened during a commercial break (just for the in-studio audience, it’s not in the show that aired), but having watched it, yeah, I think that’s what it was! And not to say I don’t love seeing him (I do), or that he was *only* there to reassure fans (I’m sure, as you mention, he’s friends with James, it’s good exposure, it’s “fun”), but reassurance seems like maybe 90% of it. He’s done the tweeting, he’s done the ig posts, and it’s not enough for some people, so this seems like an easy way for him to calm down some of that heat...that said, it’s [liam falsetto] never enough for the wringiest of the hand-wringers, and I’ve already seen complaints about it, which, le sighhhhhhhh
