I wanted to be a father, but Indian law did not allow me, says Salman Khan

Salman Khan shared his thought son becoming a father as he loves children very much. He also opened up about his plans for getting married in a recent interview. He said that he had thought about becoming a dad but it was the Indian law that did not let him.

Salman can often be seen enjoying the company of kids. His sister Arpita Khan has two children--Ayat Sharma and Ahil Sharma and Salman Khan is their favorite uncle. His other sister Alvira Khan also has two kids--Alizeh Agnihotri and Ayaan Agnihotri and Salman also has two brothers who have their own kids.

Talking at length about his love for kids at the TV's show Aap ki Adalat, Salman revealed he was planning for a child. "Abhi kya bolu woh toh plan tha. Plan tha. Bahu ka nahi tha, baccha ke tha. Lekin ab woh law ke hisaab se woh toh Hindustan mein ho nahi sakta. Toh ab dekhenge kya kare (What to say, that was the plan. It wasn't for a daughter-in-law, it was for a child. But according to the Indian laws, it's not possible. Now we'll see what to do)."

When questioned about doing something similar to Karan Johar, he said, "Wahi main koshish karraha tha lekin woh law shayad change hogaya hai. Toh ab dekhenge. Bachchon ka bada shaukh hai mujhe. I love kids. Lekin kids jab aate hai toh maa bhi aati hai. Maa unke liye bohut acchi hai, lekin humare ghar mein maa hi maa padi hai sir. Humare paas pura zila hai, pura gaon hai. Woh unka accha khayal rakh lengi. Lekin unki maa, jo real maa hongi, woh meri patni hogi (makes a face) (That's what I was trying to do. But, that law may have changed, so let's see. I am very fond of children. But when kids come then their mother also comes. A mother is good for them but we have a lot of mothers at home. We have the whole district, the whole village. They will take care of them. But my kid's real mother will also be my wife)."

Salman Khan’s movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is making great success at the box office. The movie is directed by Farhad Samji and has a strong star cast including Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Sidharth Nigam, Venkatesh Daggubati, Bhumika Chawla, Raghav Juyal and Jassie Gill.

He is also working on his upcoming movie Tiger 3 opposite actor Katrina Kaif. The film is all set to hit the theatres on the occasion of Diwali 2023.

Bollywood celebrities join hands for Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar’s initiative to raise funds through online concert, across the globe.

Amid the global coronavirus pandemic, people have been very traumatized and worried locked down within the four walls of their homes. However, in no small measure can we all agree that it has brought the world together in order to fight the pandemic with hands held together. The Bollywood industry has been collecting funds with a number of initiatives, on such a note this initiative brought forward by Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar will definitely help the frontline warriors. Many Bollywood actors have come forward for initiative to fight the battle of coronavirus. The actors will be performing a concert from within the four walls of the homes. The multiple performances are an initiative for “I for India”, which will be aired in the coming weekend.

The online concert will feature Bollywood actors with their short performances for raising funds. The funds collected from this initiative will be used for the families that have been displaced by the coronavirus pandemic. The frontline workers will also be helped since they have been making sure that we are protected from the coronavirus and are daily doing their duty. The news was confirmed by Mumbai Mirror that the concert will held on online.

Bollywood actors including Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Sidharth Malhotra, Katrina Kaif and Kapil Sharma, will be a part of this initiative. The online performance has already grabbed a lot of attention from the fans of the Bollywood actors who cannot wait to watch their idols perform. Not only will the Bollywood stars be a part of this, but even the Hollywood stars have decided to be a part of this wonderful initiative. Personalities including Will Smith, Jonas Brothers and Bryan Adams will be joining the concert to help raise more funds.

Financial funds will also be supported by the musical wing. The “I for India” online concert will receive contributions from musicians with their amazing performances. Music sensations such as Asha Bhosle, Shreya Ghoshal, Arijit Singh and Sonu Nigam will be performing for their fans. Even music composers such as Shekhar Ravjiani, Pritam and Vishal Dadlani will be a part of this initiative. Javed Akhtar, the veteran lyricist will be joining the online initiative where he will be reciting his written pieces for his lovely audience.

Not only will the film fraternity be joining the initiative but even cricketers including the perfectionist Sachin Tendulkar, the best batsman Rohit Sharma and the heartthrob of cricket buffs Virat Kohli, will be helping to raise funds. Sources have confirmed that everyone has been told to record three to four minutes videos, showcasing their immense talent. They will either perform singing, dancing, and stand up or give a message out to the audience. The online concert will be aired on Facebook and people all across the globe can donate for this initiative by simply clicking on the Facebook Donate option. The online concert will be aired for the duration of two hours. Both Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar have been working for several weeks to bring this initiative with social cause forward and help all the frontline warriors will entraining the people of India. Such an initiative will definitely be a great success.

In the recent days, many singers from all across the country have managed to raise considerable amount of funds for our frontline warriors. These concerts definitely received a good response from the audience, and the funds say it all. Many Bollywood actors have also directly transferred money to the funds collection to not only help doctors and policemen but also the professionals for their industry.

International celebrities are doing the same to raise funds amid the coronavirus pandemic. Lady Gaga took an initiative along with WHO and Global Citizen for raising funds. For the same initiative even Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra did their part of the job. The global initiative managed to raise 127$ million for the relief funds with more than a hundred performances.
